Cagliostro Ristorante - Restaurant in Palermo, Italy
Very good food, everything absolutely delicious. It is a mix between classic dishes and modern interpretations. The pizza is hand down fabulous, you cannot find a better neapolitan pizza. So good in fact that we went multiple times. Prices are also very good. A big thank you to Filippo, our very helpful, good natured and professional waiter!
Tried the daily special pasta with sardines and pizza. The pasta/sauce ratio was way off in terms of how much sauce one should add to the pasta. In addition it tasted like cheep canned sardines!Pizza was also of poor quality, way too chewy crust and a soggy base.Ordered red wine which came slightly warm....Would not recommend eating here. Even got sick when we returned to the apartment.
Best pizza I have ever eaten. Only bad thing is that they add « coperto » (it’s the servicefor 2,5€ per person and don’t mention it.Otherwise pizza was awesome
It was our first night in Palermo, and this food made it even better 👌 we had a pistachio pasta with prawns and a purple potato pizza with Sicilian salami and truffle, both were fantastic 🤤 They were quick and kind, recommended 😉
Food was very good, I had a pizza Wich was awesome and the house wine (red, good).
Pizza was great however the service is absolutely terrible!! The owner greated us and seemed annoyed that we didnt speak italian, no smile nothing. After being seated we waited 15mins for someone to come see us and they arrived ready to take the order without us having the menu or water. the pizza and wine came fast but we were missing something. it took another 10mins before we were able to catch the waiters eye. then when we were done and finishing our wine, all 3 waiters kept coming over to ask if we wanted anything else, clearly it was to get us out. funny seeing not one showed up during the meal to make sure everything was alright. At the end we had to get up to go pay our bill. no thank you or anything. Worst restaurant ambiance ever! I dont recommend at all!!
Best place for pizza in Palermo
Best pizza!!!
Food was good but they only offer a QR code for the menu, the online menu is not mobile friendly and they do not offer tablets to see the menu.
This place was recommended by my friend who lives in Palermo and I can definitely see why. It was exactly the Neapolitan style pizza I was looking for. Exceptional crust and sauce on an amazing dough. They have a lot of spots to sit outside the restaurant, perfect for evening chill with a great dinner.
All good until we find a metal piece in our food
Nice pasta with swordfish.Good service.Quite expensive and touristic.
Ive eaten better pizza in the area, but its worth mentioning that the ingredients are good quality and the service is nice.
Probably one of the best pizzas in Palermo. Not salty, amazing taste , great winePrize is normal, would recommend 100%
The base of dish with fish was terrible, and just the fish made me sick day afterI dont recommend it
The best pizza I have tasted so far on my visit to Sicily. The pistachio dessert is extraordinarily good. Recommended!
One of the worst pizzas I’ve had
Great pasta and greater staff
For the price it’s okay but you can get better service and food. But the street is pretty an the vine card is good and the pizza too
Great food, especially recommend the pizza, and lovely atmosphere - totally worth it!
Filippo our waiter was brilliant, he guided us through the menu (food & wine). The best I. Palermo. A most enjoyable evening. If we return to Sicily we will visit Cagliostro again.Enjoy!
Terrible experience.I still dont understand how people can be served within minutes while it took us literally more than one hour to receive our order. It would have been okay with a nice staff, but they kept ignoring us/being rude.I dont recommend the secondi plati, it tasted good but the price is not worth the quantity (and definitely not worth the wait).I wouldnt recommend and I would never eat there again.
The place is ok has a nice vibe. The service is very slow, stressed and not very nice. Food was ok but looks better then the actual taste, coast too much for what it is.
Delicious pizza! If you visit Palermo, you must go to the Cagliostro Ristorante!
Not gonna post any picture of the amazing food. Anything we tried was ultra yummy and posting proof would feel like copyright infringement or intellectual property theft.. talk about that full mozarella cheese ball centered in a pizza, fresh seafood salad, incredible pasta - aaarrrgghhh just too good! Plus staff there were super friendly, attentive ofc and very accomodating to even our silly requests. Thanks so much, one of the best experiences in Palermo.
I will dream of the pistachio pasta with red shrimp with burrata cream. OMG. So good.I read someone elses review that reference this pasta as bad b/c it had oil in it. Its a pesto sauce. Of course it has olive oil in it!
Great place to eat Italian, and have a glass of Italian wine. Service was excellent.
A fine restaurant to dine in Palermo.
Beautiful, tasty food. One of the best Italian pizzas I have ever tasted, absolutely scrumptious dough and toppings. Loved it x
Very good fine dining restaurant with choices of pasta, pizza and starters.
Good food and service, prices are medium high
Highly recommend. Great food and service and prices.
Amazing restaurant in palermo, great service and great food!
This was the worst food I’ve eaten in Italy. I ordered the pasta in a fava bean sauce with shrimp. There were four tiny shrimp, the size of my pinky fingernail, and they were mushy and tasteless. My friend ordered spaghetti in a pistachio sauce that was so oily he could barely eat half. The whole table was disappointed with what they ordered with the exception of one pepperoni and anchovy pizza, which admittedly was excellent. Also, the thumping pop music in the background made it difficult to talk. Maybe the chef was having a bad night, but unless you’re going for the pizza, my guess is that you are going to be disappointed.
Just no !Food was ugly i saw many meople giving pyzza back
Excellent restaurant! Great fresh pasta and wonderful service.
The food is ok. I didnt like the fact the owner was sitting at a table smoking.
Lovely food and great atmosphere. Service excellent. Desserts were fantastic
Good products, very good cook and Nice staff. Go for the pizza with 250g of Buffala!
Fine food but very noisy and spotty service. For example, we had green salad with tomatoes. We needed get their attention to ask for olive oil and vinegar.
Very nice restaurent, reasonable prices, party tried tuna, burgers, salad and pizza, all very good.
One of the worst restaurants Ive been to. Service was really bad. I was not offered a bread basket when other tables around me were offered. I was more than willing to pay the cover charge despite not being offered the basket but their reply to my wife and I was really rude. The change given to us was all in coins.
Do you like salt as the only seasoning on your pasta? If so, this is the place for you. If you do eat here, do not order the pasta with mixed seafood. The sea food was OK, if not particularly generous, but the sauce was more salty than the ocean. I couldnt eat it.
It was very good, in one of the mean streets so the prices are a little bit higher and a little bit more focused on the tourists.
Such a beautiful restaurant with reasonable prices! Best sesame bread we had in Palermo. If the basket was empty they refilled the tasty bread! Burger was huge and so tasty, the homemade mayonnaise 😍 the antipasti plate was also delicious. Can highly recommend this place 👌🏼
We had an excellent lunch in this restaurant. The staff were friendly and on the ball. The food was well prepared from fresh ingredients and was delicious. The reason they only get 3 stars from me is that they used the wine bait and switch trick which seems to be common in Palermo - they brought us a bottle of wine made of the grape we ordered (Grillo in this casebut not made by the producer on the wine list. No explanation and no apology. With the caveat to watch for this little deception I can say we enjoyed our meal and just about recommend this restaurant.
Overall good restaurant especially when there are not many restaurants open during Easter.Order tagliatelle with meat sauce however.... they serve me linguine instead, pizza is super soggy with American style crust but the salad was decent
Amazing! I got the salmon ravioli, home wine and chocolate cake with pistachios, everything delicious. And next day, before left Palermo, I came back to try the seafood soup, unbelievable, very taste and well done.
Very good fish dessert and coffee Friendly and efficient service
We had dinner with 2 persons for just over 60 euros. The caponata for starter was nice, but i doubt it was freshly made. The caprese was just a barely sliced ball of mozzarella with dried herbs (wouldve at least expected some fresh basiland some halved cherry tomatoes. I didnt really like the spaghetti nero, but id never had it before so i cant really judge it. The main fish dish was supposed to be a specialty, but Im sure (both by how it looked and tastedthat it was deepfried swordfish instead of a fresh piece of food. The red housewine wasnt bad, but out of the 2 glasses we had, one was at room temperature, while the other was around 5°C, leaving much of the taste to the imanigation. All in all NOT reccommended! Bad food for 30 euros p.p.
