Caffe Sienna - Coffee shop in Rondebosch, South Africa
Very nice community, family type venue. The setting is quite unusual in that you have the ability to sit on a patio type bar looking at all the traffic passing by or sitting indoors where there is live music if i recall the 1st friday of every month. Beer draft on tap and a quiet unassuming venue to relax.
What an awesome place! Absolutely exquisite! The cheesecake not too sweet not sticky at all...perfecto! Pls try this restaurant, won’t have any regrets.
Always good service and food is good. Great menu
Great staff, friendly atmosphere, good selection of foods to eat in or take home .
Great coffee, cosy venue
More a pub now than a dining place. Lost a bit of its charm
Nice place but expensive. I love the food but as a student I wish I could afford it to go more often
Could definitely use more friendly staffAlso wait is a bit too long for serviceFood okay but restaurant definitely lacks efficient and friendly staff😏
A great neighbourhood coffee shop where the owner knows her regulars and takes time to stop at each table. The coffee is pretty good too! #supportyourhood
Good menu - sandwiches are to die for and the chips are crisp and fluffy.
Excellent place with great food and service! Very friendly environment
Top class service with friendly staff, awesome coffee and great food, epic environment and atmosphere
I absolutely loved this, the waiters very efficient. There was a lady I’m assuming was the floor manager who came to greet and ask if all was well, came to also reassure us that our food was coming. When we were done asked if we enjoyed our meal. It’s clean, not noisy. Food was absolutely amazing. Overall a wonderful intimate space. 👌🏽
Waited for 15 mins to get a waiters attention. The place was also empty, no one greeted us when we arrived at the door to seat us. We seated ourselves. Not sure if its because of my race but white people got served first. Eventually a waiter came to take our order. But did not check up on us till we eventually just left. Terrible place. Will never set a foot there again or recommend this place to people of colour.
Love coming here. Feel well looked after and we now know the owner by name. Had the nachos which was delicious.
Location of restaurant, restaurant itself, the food, the staff 100%...The owner too, didnt get the kind, friendly, hands on young at heart ladys name...We had cappuccino and Michaels breakfast meal (2 eggs, 3 rashers of bacon, tomato, beef sausage, sauted mushrooms and slice of toast for R92and strawberry juice (do try this one out)..Excellent service and delicious food, definitely going back soon...
This is a fun place to eat, with a young clientele. On a busy street, but the atmosphere is pleasant and the food is good, at reasonable prices.
Great pizzas and food. Could improve in terms of having more predictable operating hours and menu items (pizzas not available all week)
Good food. Busy with coffee shop and restaurant. Appeared to be popular business stop as many tables were occupied by single patrons with open laptops.
A little gem! Popped in for quick bite. Quick and efficient service. Lots of character.
Had a cappuccino, was delicious and nice a cosy close to fire place.
A lovely spot with a decent menu. Cellphone signal is terrible inside though and the wifi is sketchy. If those were sorted it would be a brilliant remote working office space
Delightfully delectable food I must surely admit, oh yes and the Pizza, oh yes and the cheesecake!!! Here you are at the core of beautiful music, calm vibrant energy all round, enthused staff and thank you so much for the wonderful experiences we always have with you!
We got our coffees nice and quick but our food order took over 40 minutes to arrive.Had the Michaels breakfast which is R92. Think its over priced for what you get. Felt very underwhelmed.3 stars for an average restaurant but nothing to write home about.
Today, I had a coffee meeting at Michaels in Rondebosch, Cape Town, which I had thought was just a restaurant that’s open at night. To my surprise, it’s a beautiful deli, which serves really great oat milk coffee, and I did notice some scrumptious-looking gluten-free options on the menu. I loved the service, and I appreciated that there was enough parking around the area, and the establishment is just really easy to get to.What really stood out for me, from my experience at Michaels, was the way that the restaurant supports their staff. One of their staff members has a little section on Michael’s deli shelf, selling products from a 9-year-old girl making doorstops – incredibly beautiful door stops, and I bought two! The 9-year-old is raising funds to support her sister, who is not in South Africa. The full story is right by the shelf, and its an incredible show of community support. Michaels could have just thought of themselves, especially during this time, but they chose to be better and more positively impactful. Definitely go and support Michaels! It’s a great place to meet, they have good Wi-Fi access, they are dog friendly – which is a bonus – and the fact that they support their staff, is another bonus worth a trip. 5/5 for sure!
Always fantastic service from very friendly staff, and great coffee! Always a good vibe and a great place to work if youre waiting for your kids to finish their sport activities... Strong wifi signal. I see they now do a drinks evening on a Wednesday night at their very cool looking bar... nice addition.
Micheals The Beast is my favourite thing on the menu....it is delicious and hits all the spots! The staff are welcoming and friendly, and acknowledge you when you return for your second visit! The atmosphere is chilled and very relaxing..and they always have really solid background music to add to the ambience... Awesome place
Nice place for breakfast. Good choice of meals and drinks. You can sit outside close to the road and chill or inside in nice comfy ambient. Wi-Fi is good Staff is really helpful and Covid-19 measures in place. Recommend.
Stunning, cozy restaurant and manager was absolutely welcoming!
Cute and stylish place. Great coffee and friendly staff.
Chilled.. nice staff, can also work here during the day. Came here a couple of times with my friends... Had a nice egg benedict.. Though my friends kept on coming for the chicken strips and chips.. Oh yeah and nice chilli chicken lovers.
Very pleasant lunch experience nestled off the beaten track on Campground Rd in Rondebosch
Very convenient, adequate parking and good breakfasts.
Wow. My favorite spot after school is still producing good food. We stopped in to get a burger on our way home and it was delicious. There was lots on the plate, almost too much to finish, not complaining though. (The price is a bit more than normal but you the amount of food makes up for it as well as the quality of food.I was happy that when asking for water they they brought us a jug. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. The bathrooms are clean and well decorated. This was a wonderful experience, I will be back soon.
The service was a bit slow. Ordered a brie and cranberry jelly beef burger with sweet potato fries. The burger itself was quite big. However, it was nothing special and a bit overpriced. Ive had excellent burgers for the same price elsewhere.
Had a really scrumptious mushroom burger, staff super and we were fortunate enough to have a one man band playing. He is soooooo good and not too loud so one could still converse. Lovely music and good voice
Very nice place with a good atmosphere. Great food and I recommend you go here. They have wonderful and cheerful staff which will bring a smile to your face. It is a bit difficult to find parking but the food is worth it.
Star for service (excellent), and star for setting (comfortable).I ordered some sort of burger, and I sampled from a friends pork ribs. Overall it was very tasteless. The burger had very little flavor, tasted blend even with whatever extras were on the burger. Also, quite high prices for the menu. Overall very disappointing.I wouldnt recommend it with competition like Jerrys and Tigers Milk close by.
This was our second visit to Michaels, ambiance was good. Food ordered both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered, very tasty, quantity was fine. Service was reasonable. Sad Management do not teach their staff not to remove plates whilst the rest of the table are still eating.WARNING: Do not order wine by the glass. We did. The white wine was not poured in front of us so we could see the bottle, but just arrived in the glass. My partner had two glasses. When the bill arrived so did the shock 2 glasses at R 72.00 each total R 144.00. The duty manager was called and after discussion with her answer that is the price. Cheaper to take your own wine and know you have quantity and quality and pay the R 35.00 corkage. I must admit that the pleasant evening was unfortunately left with a sour taste.
Great place to have a quick meeting, have a bite to eat or enjoy a drink after work. Open from 7am, so it was the perfect spot for a morning meeting. Beautiful rustic interior adds to a warm and welcome environment. The coffee is lovely.
Great food, well cooked, service sharp and friendly. Good value for money. Specials are sought after and good value
Went there for some breakfast and they really have a great selection ! The portions are generous and the staff is very friendly.
Very cozy inside, amazing lattes and beautiful decor.
Very nice place. Good food. Slightly slow service but overall very pleasant.
Excellent food, great service and nice environment. Lovely pizzas, with really creative toppings, and good selection of drinks. Definitely recommended.
Good and friendly service. Food consistent. Great for early morning meeting to beat the traffic.
We had a great meal last night at Micheals Kitchen and Bar. The restaurant is cozy and boast a great wine selection to go accompany their great dishes
You local pizza and burger joint. But rustic on the inside. Certainly not pretentious. Pizzas perfectly fine but priced top end. The wine selection is truly awful. Probably as bad as can get in the Cape. Service informal ands fine
Excellent food. Good vibe and very friendly staff. Will be back for the Windhoek Draft On Tap!
Been here quite a few times. The food is average - some great flavours here and there though. Service is amazing. I ordered ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert and the ice cream was very strange and grainy. My partner and I struggled to finish it just to not be wasteful. The prices are quite high for what youre getting. Its not a bad restaurant, but not the greatest either.
