Caffè Perù - Bar in Vatican City, Vatican City
Best pasta ever!
Wonderful!!
best spaghetti limone in Rome (it’s back on the menu!)
Great staff, make a good cocktail and fairly priced.
Perfect coffee and lovely staff
As we stumbled off the beaten track with sore feet and empty tummies we found Cafe Peru ... what a find !!! The Caprese salad was like nothing I ever tasted , I dont know what they serve in the UK but its not the same. Flavoursome buffalo mozzarella and the sweetest tomatoes and basil. You must try !!! I opted for the thin beef slices and my husband opted for the Parmigana (excuse the poor spelling), we shared each course and it was fabulous 👌.. finally a thank you to the excellent waitress , she shared her knowledge of the place and its a cute little story. Thank you , will be back again no doubt ! X
Great for a quick stop. Cafe is €1, they also have pastries. Fast with outdoor and indoor seating.
Great pastries, good coffee and quick friendly service
Good location, nice staff. Probably okay for aperitivo or a caffe but would not recommend a full meal. I tried the seafood risotto and it was less risotto more rice with sauce and the seafood was fairly low quality and the dish had an overwhelming fishy taste. It was also delivered to me within 2 minutes of ordering and was cold.
Great place for a quick coffee, bite and aperol spritz 😄
Excellent place for a quick and nice breakfast, we were in Rome for a week and went there almost everyday. Cheers to the staff!
It can be both! Family breakfast in the morning and lots of nightlife for young people in the evenings. Very affordable.
Has the best Spaghetti Al Limone in town also has the friendliest waiting staff in Rome.Update March 2022: they removed the Pasta Limone from their menu. 🥲To the owner: Why did you remove the pasta limone from your menu? 😭 You were the only restaurant serving that dish. 💔💘
We love this bar
Tasty negronis and great vibes, with a conveniently-placed drinking fountain in the square outside to avert hydration emergencies.
The burger was NOT a burger but just a plain dry af patty served with not so tasty fried potatoes. The prosciutto with the melon was sliced way too thick to actually be enjoyable and let’s not even talk about the pastas with lemon that were just EW. The only acceptable dish was the caprese salad but come on let’s face it : it isn’t that hard to slice tomatoes and mozzarella, especially when the customer has to do the dressing themself. If only the food was as good as how beautiful the place looks :/... also what’s up with that workout music ?
Fast service, good coffee, tasty sandwiches. Nice location, plenty of outside seating. No complaints at all.
Love it - small bar very friendly staff. Nice outside tables. Relaxed and nice buzz.
I love this place so much, their pastries are amazing. Their aperitivo is top quality too.
Nice bar for a cheap Italian style drink, sit on the pavement or inside. Does decent apperativo.
This place was the highlight of Rome we went there nearly every day, wonderful service and food. Amazing
Excellent Carbonara and service. Simple setup but very attentive staff and delicious food.
A very nice place and friendly crew. Despite its near to Campo di Fiori there arnt many tourists. Prices are good (like for the locals).
it was our first dinner in rome. small and cozy restaurant where you can talk with other people and locals far of the beaten track. food was delicious🙌
Ok cappucino. But they charged me 30cents for each glass of water i ordered with my coffee, and it was tap water :( I would go for a drink or a late snack to see if something changes (i found this spot walking around during the night and looked dope and cool with ppl having aperitivos in the street, kinda relaxedIt is definitely not the best place for the day. Specially when after the 3rd coffee they gently kicked me out because it was lunch time and according to them i had to either have lunch or leave. The place was empty when the waiter came with this “request”. Like 10 out of 12 tables were free 🤦🏻♀️
Lovely little spot just off the main tourist track. Still not exactly a local spot but much nicer than the places that have the menus in 20 languages.
Great place for variety of beers, wine, food, cigarettes and especially a super professional and fast waiter
Dropped in here for a bite to eat for dinner and the food was delicious. Started off with the bruschetta which was just delicious. Then the Caprese salad which was even better. While the menu wasn’t very extensive the food was delicious and any choice was a good bet.Service was fast, friendly and attentive. A nice choice for a casual evening meal.
Croissants and cappuccino were good, fresh blood orange juice was great. Lady behind the counter was kind of rude. I got the impression she didnt like tourists.
This was a little hole in the wall place we found on a night stroll through the back alleys of Rome. The food was delicious and the wine was also good.It was a good in between spot with locals.Good for a quick bite and some wine.
Amazing cafe. The pastries are simply amazing, the juice is freshly squeezed and the coffee divine. On first inspection the shop doesn’t look like much but look around at the detail and settle in. The total experience shouldn’t be missed.
Love this cafe. Great food, great coffee and very friendly. We brought two young children in... were made to feel welcome.
Great place for a long lazy lunch or a few cheeky night caps at the end of a long day sightseeing! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the range of cocktails and other drinks is dazzling. The place has an electric buzz and I warmly recommend the spaghetti with prawns and courgette.
We visited this bar yesterday, the service was first class . very helpful and informative the waiter really couldnt do enough for us,even explained the complete menu in english.the food was excellent and very reasonable price . Def worth a visit.
Original spot in a very touristic Rome with great drinks, atmosphere and nice people. Take a sit outside with your drink, gazing people and the square in front of the church. It would be nice if there were less parked cars though.
Very nice friendly local place. In a sea of tourists this place is an island. Super friendly staff, great prices, and very nice food. We had parmigiana de la casa and handmade pasta with pesto and pachino. Both were tasty and truly hit the spot after a long day touing the vatican.
I regret to inform you that one of your biggest fans and frequent customer has died in Canada on February 5, 2018. He lived just down the street for almost two years and spent a lot of time there. Tom will be missed by many.
Very resonable prices. Extremely friendly staff! Good for all meals of the day.
This place is fantastic. Great cocktails, fast service, and an awesome happy hour deal with snacks and a drink for €8. Highly recommended.
Very nice bar with food surrounded with soft feeling.
Cozy, chilled atmosphere, friendly staff. Get a drink, stay outside, take in the sun, talk to the locals, relax, admire the buildings, do some people watching, aaahhh... the life. Rinse and repeat :)
Excellent place!! My daughter and I stopped there today for lunch. We had been exploring the area and when we walked by it was full of locals which is always a good recommendation. We had to wait briefly for a table but the service was great and the food was excellent. The combination of great food and service provided us an experience that we wont soon forget. I can recommend this place. Go in with a smile and an empty stomach and you wont be disappointed.
Great central location, slightly off the tourist routes. Nice place to stop for a drink and to escape from the noise and much better than nearby campo di fiori with its tourist menus and forced entertainment. In good weather, grab a stool and sit outside on the small square/car park, like the locals do. Reasonable prices and good drink selection.
Simply amazing, made our trip to Rome. Incredibly friendly staff, and brilliant food.
A real gem in the heart of the old city of Rome, I hesitate to mention it as it is already extremely popular, but I was so well-received there that I feel obligated to place a review. It was in this café/ bar that I discovered many friends within Rome, and discovered its genuinely kind habitants, who accepted me into their lives for a short period of time despite my inability to speak Italian, nor my knowledge of their town and lives. One of the few places on earth where I have discovered an interested populace willing to approach strangers and discuss new ideas. 10/10 would caffe-peru again!
Nice and relaxed place with cheap and good food. Locals come here to socialise. Ill recommend it to anyone.
Easy going place, does a drink and buffet for €8 in the early evening and there is a tame sparrow that comes in for crumbs
Very nice bar in the middle of a neighbborhood without many options. Perfect for a coffe in the afternoon. Good and cheap coffe and free wifi
One of the best places in Rome! Cosy, cheap, full with locals and regulars however tourists are warmly welcomed as well! Breakfast is great, but they also have proper food for dinner, probably the best carbonara in town. At night it turns into a superbuzzy spot with people drinking wine inside and outside the place! Very recommended!
Best happy hour! 8€ per plenty of great food and drink! Around 6:00PM
