Cafe des Amis Fine Dining in Pattaya

The best restaurant in Pattaya? What does that mean? Service, food, price or decor? So I tried it out as a test run for bringing family and friends. Lets keep it simple......Food excellent, service excellent, ambiance excellent, parking, not so good as the car park and close by was full but only a few diners?Sadly the only thing that it fails on, in my opinion is cost, for a set meal and two glasses of house wine it was nearly 3000. The two glasses of red wine alone were 800. will I go again, no, only because there are other very good restaurants at a more reasonable price. (6 guests would be around 420GBP/500USD)

My husband and I had a dinner for his birthday.Great ambiance and professional service.We also liked natural rose was on the table.Beautiful dishes as The River Cafe in NY.Birthday cake was pretty and delicious.They also have very clean bathrooms.This is our favorite place to celebrate our event.

this is a bar/restaurant where you can just come for a drink or you can dine here. My dining experience here was okay, the complimentary entree by the chef reminds me of appetizer I usually have on business class. The food was nice. However, compare to other fine dining restaurants I have been, I personally think that this place is a proper restaurant for hangout or dating but it cant yet be called a complete fine dining due to the lack of "fine dine" key elements for example, the female staff uniform made me feel like I was dining in a coco bar, no introduction of each dish being served on the table so I was not so sure if theres any creativity or story behind each dish.

Blu and friends were very accommodating. The food and atmosphere were amazing. Highly recommended.

Have been a regular customer at Cafe des Amis for more than 10 years and it’s still my absolute favourite top quality restaurant in Pattaya. Blu and Pia are fantastic hosts always super friendly and ready to make a recommendation, especially from their mind boggling number of choices of excellent Gins from around the world!

In my opinion this is the best fine dining restaurant in Pattaya. The service is very good, the ambiance is stylish and inviting, and the food is carefully prepared and portions are generous. Highly recommended.

Waiters/waitresses knew what they were doing and if you are looking for a legitimate fine dining experience in Pattaya, this would be the place.Food options are what you would expect of a place like this.Me and my partner ordered the beef tartare (picturedand escargot as starters. This is a very good example that Pattaya has more to offer than just nightlife. The ambiance in this restaurant in wonderful. Staff is very attentive and friendly.Talking about the food: the menu is extensive, but the beef wellington is recommended. I ordered it and didn’t regret it!Another thing I really like here is the drink list with a lot of quality gin’s to choose from. All in all a nice experience!

If I would want to compare coming to the restaurant as going on the concert, this restaurant was like whole orchestra of flavours dancing to the rhythm of music.Perfection at it finest 👌

Unexpected find in an unassuming back street. Food was tasty and of high quality throughout. Extensive wine list though I had a glass of Chilean red which was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable meal at pretty good value - especially the set dinner menu.

Excellent food and atmosphere! Disappointed with the restaurant manager asking us if we could change table for the coffee, to make it available for other guests. Definitely not appropriate and leaving an uncomfortable feeling.

Amazing. As a Thai, going to beach town reminds me of local seafood. I wanted to try something different, upon googling, this place seems great. So we gave it a try. And definitely enjoyed it. It is somewhat upscale but not too expensive.Beef wellington was so good Ill probably come back next time I visit Pattaya

We are new to Pattaya (we arrived 5 weeks agoand have been pretty underwhelmed by restaurants here - until tonight. Having lived in Asia for 10 years, lamb can be an expensive treat and often tough and fatty. The lamb cooked 2 ways was tender and perfect and all the components on the plate were hot and served on a hot plate. My husband loved his chicken liver parfait (said its the best hes had in a long time)and his duck course, which I tasted and agree it was tender and delicious. Clearly the chef and team know what they are doing. The wine list was reasonably priced and I was pleased to see an Australian natural wine on the menu. As for the service, it was friendly and professional. Often wait staff are literally order takes and food deliverers but they are proud professionals here who engage with the customers and we were so impressed by Sean and the other staff we had contact with. My only regret was we didnt have enough room for a dessert each and opted to share.Were living in a hotel right now until our stuff comes via ship from Jakarta (where we were previously basedand we used the restaurant taxi service that we saw on their website which was great. Hope to become regulars and we will definitely bring family here when they come to visit. Thanks for a great meal.

Hats off to the owner and his staff. The whole experience was top notch. Food was of good quality and prepared very well. The oysters were next level delicious. Staff were fantastic! Ambiance is cozy without being too crowded. Bit of a drive out of downtown. but Id drive much farther to dine here again.

The atmosphere is nice to couple. There is varietyo appetizers and none of them is disappointed.. Lobsters ravioli is excellent. And Miyazaki beef steaks are nothing to speek about.

This place is really charming with a very romantic environment. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The plating is fantastic and very beautiful.But for me the best it was the service, very professional and attentive, they makes you feel comfortable and elevates the experience. Quality produce and fish/meats cooked, dressed and garnished to perfection. The duck and the steaks were first class with many saying they never had better. Desserts to die for and a big choice of gins, cocktails and wines. Will return again for certain. Thank you Cafe des Amis staff.

I used to love coming here. The food was excellent then, however my latest sojourn here was not that terrific. The angel hair pasta with clams was FULL of sand. I mean literally every bite of the pasta had over 1/2 teaspoon of sand. The clams however did not contain any sand. So I am puzzled as to how the cook/chef was able to accomplish this.😂

Ate last week at Daves Kitchen in Chiang Mai and as excellent as it was Cafe des Amis topped it in food, service and drink. Most memorable.

I did it again. This time I arrived by daylight. Its a fantastic place of peace and tranquillity. Great atmosphere, great staff, outstanding dishes. I have to correct something: There is not really a garden, but a beautiful designed courtyard to sit outside. State of the art and super clean toilets....This is an outstanding and unbelievable place in Jomtien. A bit tricky to find and the area is not very inviting and dark. But then youre standing in front of a wooden double door and the moment you open that door, you enter a complete different world. Everything is nice and beautiful, well decorated and super neat and clean. There is a romantic outdoor garden area for dining and smoking. On the right side, the connaisseur discovers immediately that expensive coffee machine to produce a real tasty italian coffee. But what really jumps into your eyes: this machine is super clean.You walk on to a cosy bar and lounge, well equipped with all beverages from all over the world. Ok, they dont have a Ramazotti.... LolThats the moment when the owner and chef himself appears to welcome you. A tough guy, dressed in black and from Britain, offering French diners. This sounds a bit tricky for those, who know the national differences. But this man made it, he simply made it! He is great.....And there we are, the dishes. Amazing! Everything is prepared to the point, with love and experience and knowledge. No matter, what you order. This is the way of European celebration of dinner. Thais eat only, but we celebrate. An Apero, a nice glass of white wine from Italy to start, sparkling water from San Pellegrino, a soup from mushrooms, a real creme soup! Already to fall on your knees to pray to the Lord. All served with real, fresh bread.Then a red wine from France comes together with a beef Wellington. Absolutely perfect done. I had a beef Stroganoff with noodles and as a Swiss, I was all the times looking for the mistake. Its impossible to work so perfect in Thailand.And then came the truth: Prasit! The chief of staff introduced himself, a Thai man with a Swiss father and grew up in Switzerland to learn all and everything about hotels and restaurants. Thats their secret weapon. And Prasit is teaching all the Thai staff to be a real host, in perfect Swiss German, if needed. Dont forget, 50 % of a dinner is attentive and friendly staff, the rest is the venue, the kitchen with its chef and his crew.....Summary: this is an absolute pearl of a restaurant. Go there and enjoy, you will not regret. I saw happy faces only. Try the desserts as well, the joice of different ice creams is perfect to share....And then, finally, I found something to complain: that painting far out on the wall was not hanging straight. I knew, I will find a mistake to complain......PS: meanwhile I visited Prasits Mama in Switzerland, where she runs for many years a famous Thai restaurant countryside. A great place with perfect Thai dishes in Switzerland, you even get Leo, Chang and Singha.....

Having visited CDA several times recently one cannot fail to notice the absolute attention to even the smallest of details that goes into every customers experience. Not only is the food they serve divine, the service is at a level that even the highest calibre hotels around the world might struggle to achieve. It’s a beautiful venue with charming owners and wonderful staff. May I add also, what appears to be the largest gin selection anywhere in the area and and enviable wine collection.

This is my first time visiting cafe des amis and i must say, has been a great experience overall, despite a problem that occured but the captain handled it very well. We ordered gorgonzola salad (8/10 for this, if the salad was preped smaller we would be more flavourful as a bite but overall a great dish, 2nd dish Three cheese ravioli with champagne sauce w/truffle oil (7/10 this dish for me is perfectly excecuted the sauce was nice, stuffing was nicely season but I do think that the price is a little bit over priced for 4pcs in my humble opinion). 3rd dish Porcini Mushroom soup (10/10 Just exceptional, well seasoned, well portioned, worth every penny,in this case baht. Main course Braised Wagyu beef cheek( 8/10 well excuted, wagyu cheek was very tender, nice sides but i little problem occured on this dish that i mentioned earlier, which the captain handled the problem wellFor dessert we ordered chocolate fondont & creme brulee which was both exceptional and great value. The food for me is pretty satisfying for me but not much story or chefs identity, as for the service is excuted perfectly and i am extremely satisfied.( Thumbs up to the front Overall a great dining experience, great for special occasions.

I couldnt imagine that we will have fine dining in nice and cozy house at the middle of Pattaya. We had outdoor table, average atmosphere. The highlight is the food and wine selection. Ingredients were good and fresh, well cooked. All dishes we had that night was up to standard. Service is also very good. It is something worth trying in Pattaya.

Our best dinning experience in Pattaya. From the food, the wine list, and the service, everything was impeccable. We were here for over 2.5 hours and enjoyed every moment of it. We both elected to do the tasting menu and with a couple of their craft cocktails and a bottle of Amarone.

Enjoy the meal very much. Menu selection was great and food tasted amazing. Beef perfectly cooked and seasoned. Only hiccup was serving time. Staffs were attentive enough but didnt time the meal too well. Some couse seem rush and there was dessert in set menu that wasnt prepared so friend waited a while where it should have been anticipated as it was in a set. Im knitpicking here. All in all great meal.
