Cafe Younes in Beirut

I dont know about other branches but this branch has the best caramel iced coffee in town (had it as frappe). The amount of sweetness and ice is perfect and the taste does not dilute when youre more than halfway through! Also had the carrot & walnut cake, which was a bit dry for my taste but still giving the place a 5 star rating for the coffee and the relaxed vibe the place has.

Tasty food I visited today the 11th of March 2022 for lunch I ordered Caesar salad and fries the service was fast but when I was eating the salad I found a small hair in my dish an eyebrow hair or eye lashes hair dont know It was disgusting I really enjoyed the food but at the end it was 🤢🤢🤢

Bad customer service. Awful behaviour by the staff there. So i decided to try cafe younes for the first to go and work and have a drink. All I wanted was a good internet connection, cooling system and a comfortable place. When I got there I ordered a drink. The place had 3 fans which is obvioudly not enough. I asked the staff for a " 2 brise kahraba" he looked around he said right there. I sat. The table was shaking. The internet connection was not working. The fan didnt reach my area which means nothing is cooling the air around my area. I ask the staff for help with the internet, he didnt know what to do. I get up and leave without for paying anything then he asked me if I payed I said no. He asked me to wait and called another staff. First he introduced himself then he told me to pay. He didnt ask if I was comfortable nor if is there a possible way to help me. I was more expecting this kind of words "Were very sorry if anything got you annoyed what can we do ?" instead i get a "Hi my name is ali and you have to pay" all they cared about was me paying for the drink. Then the staff that helped me with the wifi connection denyed that the internet didnt work. He lied. And the other one was insisting on me to pay I was telling him that I didnt had a good service and not a sip of the drink so why should I pay. Then he said out loud "You are obliged to pay! " I was like " no I am not I can get out of there right now" And here the supervisor came, my hero came to save me from those two awful staff members but what do i get ? I get a " Kes ekht el masare bas enta ya 3AYB L SHOUM 3LEK W TLA3 LA BARA". I swear this is the first time that I see a coffee shop telling the customer to get out because he had a bad service. Its me who should be yelling not them. Shame on you Cafe younes (Sodeco square branch). Worst place Ive ever gone to. Thank you

The only happening place at Sodeco Square. The food is good but the service is not consistent. It seems to me at times that they keep having new employees all the times. The staff across the street are much friendlier

the espresso macchiato wasnt very good although their arabic coffee selection is way better . i would definitely recommend the salmon and cream cheese bagel and the turkey and cheese bagel since they are both delicious . the setting is fine i guess , the sofas are comfy .

An old Hamra institution and a great place to hang out. Atmosphere is relaxed, coffee and food good and there’s reasonable free wifi. A real mixed crowd and an oasis in the bustle that is Hamra.

Coffee is good any where on the planet. With good company and nice atmosphere coffee becomes great. Cafe Younes has tasty coffee, good environment, and can host a bunch of friends to spice up the sitting.

The only place in Lebanon were I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee. I am sure there is better but I had visited many and all of them were below average

Lovely little coffee shop tucked away in Hamra. Theres a small space upstairs for folks who want to stay a while to get some work done and a few tables downstairs.The coffee is fantastic. And they have a good range of types and beans. Search it out if youre in the area and need a coffee and a sit down.

Cafe Younes has 2 branches in this area, the older and bigger one inside Sodeco Square building and the other newer branch nearby. I tried the new branch this time, and i can tell the experience was average. The seating high chairs are good for smokers but not comfortable for a long time sit, the decoration is modern and reflects the real coffee experience. The service is good but they eventually visit your table once, and never come back to change the ashtrays or try to up-sell. The coffee is great and freshly brewed, they close at 11 pm during weekdays which is somehow early.

Great coffee, great atmosphere... Just DONT eat there. Its not worth it. And dont expect to get your order in less than half an hour.

A very laid back place for meeting up with someone or just making a pit stop during a busy day. The beverages are always top notch even for non-coffee drinker, the food is good and not complicated, and the dessert variety is rich and tasty (I have yet to taste a dessert that was not good). Worth checking out whenever in the vicinity!
