Wide variety of Asian eats including vegan & vegetarian options in a no-frills setting.
Lets charge $15 for water mixed with broth and 4 very very very slim slices of beef. Oh and lets fill the customer up with only a hand full of rice noodles. I have a thing with charging the absolute s*** for very cheap items. They also changed the name and it is not the one posted in google maps. Hate to be the male karen in these reviews.
My family comes here all the time. Their food is good and the staff is always friendly. The adult and kids are consistently happy whenever we come. I wish I could afford to eat here every night!
Awesome food!!! Husband loves the Pho and I love the Noodle Bowl. Spring rolls and egg rolls are amazing!! Always clean and very friendly staff.
Their beef chow fun was very good! I thought the portion was a bit small but the flavours were excellent and authentic.
Ordered the Lemongrass Chicken and found the flavors and textures to be disappointing and gross.- Jasmine Rice did not smell or taste like the real thing.- There were 6-inch leafs that were "inedible" and added a slimy texture to the dish.- Peppers were left whole- The chicken at least tasted like lemongrass with nothing added (salt, sugar, Etc)Will not return.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!! I ordered a Lo mein and they brought out chow mein. i NEVER order Chow mein so i know it was not my mistake. I told them there was a misunderstanding and and asked politely if we could get the lo mein we ordered. The waitress argued with me and told me that i ordered chow mein and that is was not their mistake. So freaking rude. So i asked them if they could at least take it off of our bill. They refused and said they won’t take it off of my bill because it was not their mistake and were trying to turn it on me!!!! I am leaving here VERY ANGRY AND DISSAPOINTED in the customer service and i will not be returning EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Customer service here is the worst I’ve ever experienced. They served me the wrong plate and refused to bring me the correct one. They lied about not knowing when they’re manager was going to be here and started acting like they couldn’t understand me. Completely unprofessional and extremely rude. The restaurant was very hot and uncomfortable. The food was nothing special. The rice was served hard , crusty and cold. I would not recommend wasting your time and money here.
The cheese wontons are the best Ive had. Rest of the food was great, too. From the table down and kitchen could be a bit cleaner. Great location with views and a modern interior.
Spicy and delicious noodles, friendly customer service!
Very disappointed, I ordered vegetarian pad thai, it had lots of chicken in it. I called and they pretty much told me I was lying. That they took all the chicken out? Dont eat here
Great service, great dining area ambiance, and depending on where you get seating you can have a nice view of the valley. The food is also fantastic, all at reasonable pricing.
Some dishes were very tasty. Some were ok. Friendly service. They need to upkeep their interior better. Views from their location are great but could be better if they wipe their mirrors and clean windows.
Came here for dinner and had a great time. Cozy place with a nice ambience, service was great and friendly, food was delicious I had chicken chow mein my first time here.
The restaurant was cleaned when we walked in and we were greeted pleasantly at the door. There were six of us as a group. They did a great job getting our orders straight The food was delicious service was fast and efficient. A good experience for my first time here. I look forward to going back and trying more on the menu items
Great food, but I felt so sorry for the wait staff, they were hustling to keep up with orders. Seem way under staffed. Our server was flat out sprinting everywhere and apologizing to everyone about wait times. Super friendly though.
We really wanted some good take out, very disappointing. The beef lo mein tasted like fish, everything was cold and flavorless. And I spent 50 dollars. Super bad experience.
Please be honest. You told me the order would be ready at 6 and when it wasnt, you said it was almost done and to wait 2 more minutes. I then watched you guys start to make it and waited 20 more minutes instead of 2. Why didnt you just say that in the first place?
The food isn’t fresh or good. Honestly, just stay away from both locations (this and Murray). I tried both without knowing they were the same chain.Sorry for the bad review, but you need to make your food fresher and better.
Best service my family and I received in a long time. The lady was patient and friendly. She accommodate us very well even though it was closing time. The food was fresh and delicious. Will be back to eat again.
We ordered takeout and got the pork dumplings, wonton soup, and panang curry. The dumplings and curry were okay? Both tasted mostly fine but there was something slightly off with the veggies. Not that anything had gone bad, but just sub par ingredients. Like the peas and carrots in the curry tasted like they came from a can. The curry had decent flavor aside from the veggies. I didn’t like the wonton soup at all unfortunately—it’s normally a favorite of mine at other restaurants.
So disappointing. I was very excited to try this but in the end it was not good. The masamun curry was made with what looked like old potatoes that were shriveled, the kids lemony chicken looked like it had been made three days ago. We could not finish the meal that the flavor was just off. The masamun curry tasted very acidic and like it was over spiced to compensate for the lack of flavor. Will not be returning.
Maybe some day l will try it again. A few things that were great is there was no line and just few people there on Saturday evening which maybe I should have takenas a sign? Food was all right, but the Green Bean Black Bean was very disappointing. It was canned beans in a sauce.
Excellent food and unique dishes. The presentation was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. Definitely a go to place for the family.
I am so sad to leave a negative review. Cafe Trang has been one of my favorite restaurants for over 10 years. Friendly staff. Good service. Great atmosphere and view. Tonight, however, the service was exceptionally slow. They got two of our orders wrong. And I got food poisoning. (You dont want to know the details). Im not sure what has happened there. But I cannot return.
Food is fine, but the portion is sooo extremely small.I ordered extra meat for my Pho to-go and when I got home to my dismay, less than 3 oz of meat for each of my 4 Pho orders. Not worth it.
Excellent food! Lettuce wraps YUM! Authentic spice level very good. Szechuan chicken outstanding! Vermicelli Vietnamese salads with egg rolls always tasty.
Great little spot for meal. Solid bahn mi at lunch, huge menu, and they are hyper vigilant with covid restrictions. Wine list is a joke, staff tries really hard, but I wish they would just stop having a TV on. Grab take out and youll feel totally justified. Little to no ambiance, but the food is solid!
Not good. At all. In addition their customer service is poor. My wife ordered noodles without eggs cause she’s allergic and the pineapple rice with chicken. We ordered takeout cause Covid. Once home, we discovered both these details weren’t included in the order. So they were uneatable. And then the other dishes were really subpar. My red curry was too spicy and watery. Basically the whole meal was very underwhelming. Ended up having to make our own dinner. When I called to complain the guy insisted that he didn’t hear us make these requests, which is highly unlikely. It’s a pity cause our family loves Thai food and we just moved here. You live and learn I guess....
Ordered a mango boba smoothie, and only after I paid and they made it did they tell me that they had no boba that day. It would have been good to know when ordering since boba was the reason I came here in the first place. The smoothie itself was fine, not the best out there (same with the pho). I would have given this place 4 stars for the taste/quality if they were just honest in the beginning.
The staff is very nice, but the equipment in the kitchen is too loud! They may need to service or lubricate a noisy compressor. Building a wall to separate the kitchen from the dining area would be a smart idea too. Ask to be seated in the back away from the noisy equipment. Food was great!
This is the best eating pleasure to experience. The staff are friendly and polite. The food is excellent especially the lettuce wrap. I suggest eating family style so you can taste each delicious dish.
Went there for a takeout dinner two nights ago and was totally disappointed. I ordered cashew chicken with brown rice. The portion of rice was minimal and the only vegetables were store bought peas and carrots. That’s about as American as you can get. The trouble is that I wanted an Asian meal. The chicken did not elevate the dish. Did I make the wrong choice or is this an accurate indication of their quality?
This is the best authentic Asian restaurant in Draper by far. It’s such a wonderful hidden gem. Their chicken galangal is superb. Having traveled to Thailand this restaurant is as close as you can get to the flavors and experience of the rich food culture of Thailand.
Very large food variety in their menu. Everything tastes delicious and is fair with the price considering the amount of food they provide. I’d say this place is nice for double dates. Though I prefer to do the take out for larger groups. :)
I go here because there usually isnt a crowd and the food is "okay". Nothing there is horrible, but not much is really memorable. The fried rice is good as is the lemon chicken. General Tsao is average, as is the Walnut shrimp and the Currys. Ill go back, but mostly because its close and convenient.
My first time here. Hadnt before because it looked too expensive from the outside. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered Pho which as roughly $9 and won tons. The meal was tasty, the veggies could have been a little fresher but still ok. The patio outside would be great for a date. The only thing missing is music. There is a rather loud air conditioner in here which ruins the atmosphere on the inside. It is a good to go place, or eat outside next time. I will be back.
This place was nice. Service was acceptable. But I do feel like I was given snack bites for my meal, instead of a "meal." I prefer the Murray location. Service is a bit slower at the Murray one, but the food is better and my meal is an actual "meal."
The food was amazing but the service was horrible. I would have given it a 5 if the waitress was even a little attentive. She seemed extremely annoyed. It feels like a cafe a little. The egg soup was disgusting. I don’t recommend it but the hot and sour was delicious
I was totally caught of guard by the food. Amazing!!! I felt like my mouth was having a party all on its own. The layers of flavor and textures were delightful. The presentation was artistic. The prices were devilishly good. I’ll be back for sure!!!
Most underrated restaurant in Draper. I come here all the time we never have to wait more than two minutes to sit down. I’m always shocked that it’s not busier. They have a very big menu with so many good dishes. Love the red curry, beef cubes, general tso chicken, and fried rice. Their service is always very fast and friendly.
My go to place for Vietnamese food. The food and service are excellent. The building is going down hill though. The air conditioning doesnt work very well so I dont eat there in the summer any longer. If you Google them you dont find the correct phone number. I would give 5 stars for food but the building is 1-2 stars.
The food is good, service is a little slow at times. I had the Seafood Soup it was good, but it does not have much seafood. We also ordered the Basil Beef Pad Thai, it was good the portion was lite on the meat, but cooled well. I would also recommend their fresh strawberry lemonade.
Definitely not the Cafe Trang I remember. First dish, Thai Pineapple Curry was too spicy too eat (your mileage may vary). We sent it back for Sweet and Sour chicken; the chicken was boiled and flavorless. How do you ruin sweet and sour chicken. They charged us for all three entrees, I left still hungry. Not impressed with the service or the food, I dont think well be back.
Great place for lunch. They do pretty well on most things. They are a small step above most other quick little Asian Food places. They have a great lunch menu, consisting of smaller portions of their dinner items. The facilities are a bit worn out, menus are falling apart, bathroom are beat up. They just built a new one at Traverse Mountain, so that might be a better choice.
This was a good place to grab lunch. I am a big Thai Food fan and I left satisfied. I dont feel like I really crave anything on their menu but it is overall a good place to eat. Its a little far away from where I normally go but I will make it over there when in the mood.
OVERVIEW – 3.25 StarsCame here for the first time for my boss’s farewell lunch. At the end, as we were paying for our meal, I noticed their awards hanging up next to the register, they dated back to at least 1994, so they must be doing something right to be around for such a long amount of time.LOCATION – 5 StarsFound at the edge of a strip mall. They do have a spectacular view to a valley down below, but unfortunately in the slowness of the afternoon we were seated at the front of the store, overlooking the dirty, slush covered cars in the parking lot.PRICE – 3 StarsMy original response to the prices was that they were a little steep for my liking. Fortunately, we discovered that the laminated menus for the lunch specials were carelessly forgotten. I purchased the lunch combo for $7.99, and feel like it was comparable with the serving portion for a Chinese restaurant.PRODUCT/SERVICE – 3 StarsThe food was good. I particularly favored the honey glazed grilled pork, the egg flower soup was delicious as well. The rice was simply just rice. I found the sweet-n-sour pork a little bland, it may had been because it looked like sweet-n-sour chicken and my tastebuds were confused on what my eyes were indicating.EMPLOYEES – 2 StarsThe waitress that served us was friendly. I did however find her services lacking. Only once did she refill my drink, and that’s only after it had been sitting for several minutes. We also found it odd, that she brought out individual plates over a long amount of time. There didn’t seem to be much order to when each individual would get their plate, and some that had second plate received those at random times as well.
Very fast service and good food quality. We were warned the curry was spicy and found it to be a pleasant level ( we usually get hot for food). The portion was just right to be full and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.Able to get a Thai beer too!
I very much enjoy this place. My review is for the food only as I only get take out.Have ordered many dishes and they are all very well prepared and delish. The portions are a little dated, Im a 200 pound guy and I seem to be wanting more. I love everything except the pot stickers do not get them. Get the pho its amazing and ask for chili oil.5/5
The food is mediocre and overly priced. The vegetables were brown and wilted. The breading on the chicken was thick and greasy. The restaurant is dirty and dust is caked on light fixtures and all the knick knacks. The owner and staff are lazy and rude. Customer service and retention is not a priority. They made a mistake on our order and did not offer to correct it, instead they argued with us. I had to demand a refund that the owner first told me she wouldnt do. Save yourself the money and the drive and skip this restaurant.
I came here for lunch with a bunch of co-workers and really liked it. Unfortunately, I had a cold at the time, so I couldnt really taste the food and everything - although, what I could taste was excellent. Ive heard nothing but good things about this place and it lived up to my expectations. You get good portion sizes for a good price. The food is unique and tastes great! Good place.
