Loved this place. Sadly, it is gone. There is a Mexican restaurant where it used to be.

I dont know if its under reconstruction but it is not open anymore.

Clam chowder tasted like a water down canned soup. The macaroni and cheese seemed to be out of a box.

Great, high quality meals at a surprisingly reasonable price. One of out favorite restaurants when we visit the Gilroy area.

Most of our food was good. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is my steak was way over cooked; I asked for medium and it was well done.

Traveling thru Gilroy and found this delightful restaurant. Pairings and seasonings were all perfect. I recommend the beet orange salad and the leg of lamb. Don’t forget their cheesecake!Terry

I went last week. My friend had the roast with polenta and veggies and her dish was DIVINE. The polenta was wonderful, the roast had a beautiful darker flavor and the veggies were a perfect crisp-tender. I was a little disappointed with my stuffed chicken. The brie wasnt actually stuffed and the bacon jam made the skin soggy instead of crispy like it should be. The macaroni was pretty good though. The coconut panna Cotta is small but really good. And the owner takes pride in her restaurant and her food. This is perhaps the cleanest restaurant in Gilroy. The prices are steep but there are quality ingredients and, seriously, Im okay paying for a cleaner place to eat.

Stopped here with my family apparently the lack of communication even though we spoke the same language with cashier, order he had taken was wrong. The good thing is there was a man in need outside and my husband was kind enough to give him my order. Been to several mexican restaurants and by what the reviews we had seen online gave it try. My family said I did not miss out the food was blan.

Cafe Thyme is consistently friendly, fresh and accommodating. The staff and kitchen welcome suggestions, feedback, and laughter. Gilroy keeps asking for fresh, healthy, seasonal and local options theyve been here all along! Give it a try for dinner soon.👍

The clam chowder, chicken marsala and house salad dressing were outstanding; clam chowder was the best weve had. The drink refills were spot on! Unfortunately and sadly I couldnt give it 5 Stars because the food order was off. Bread and flatbread appetizer was given long after finishing our salads.

We were visiting family in Gilroy and were blown away by this restaurant.First of all, we called to see if they would serve us (7 people30 mins before closing time. No problem.Every single one of us loved our meal. I had the shellfish fettucine---best Ive ever had. Other people had short ribs, the scallop dish, etc. My husband said his scallops were perfectly cooked; nicely seared but still plump and juicy. Everyone was raving about their dinner. A first Michelin star for Gilroy!?Plus, we must have stayed 1/2 an hour after closing, but noone blinked an angry eye.

Excellent food, live music, friendly staff. This place is meant to sit and enjoy. Dont go if you are in a rush! That is a good thing by the way.

Our waitress, Vanessa was AWESOME-very friendly and personable! The bread, salad and seafood pasta was fresh & delicious. The soft butter served with the bread was perfect. The owner came out to talk to us which was a perfect ending to an enjoyable experience!

Dinner was fantastic! Great food, friendly efficient staff, TASTY! Well worth going! Try the gnocchi! So much flavor. I love that you can see the kitchen! Its very clean. Thats something you cant always tell at other places. My first visit and I will be back again soon

We’ve been there twice and really enjoyed both meals! Tonight we split the chicken spinach salad with green apple, dried cranberries, fresh sweet orange slices and a buttermilk cider dressing that was delicious (only a little light on the blue cheese crumbles,but lots of the fruit and good stuff with tender chicken!Entrees come with choice of soup or salad and we both chose the tomato bisque (clam chowder other optionand bf had pork tenderloin and I had pecan chicken - both in sweet potato mash with sautéed veggies- each $18! Really terrific values with attentive service from Manuel- even a refill of cherry limeade! We will definitely keep coming back!

This place has really tasty and healthy food. We stopped in for a quick bite on our way to San Francisco. The lamb was delicious. The waitstaff was polite and informative. I would definitely eat here again. The strip mall were its located doesnt look like much, but once inside you are transported to a world of delicious goodies and modern delicacies.

We ordered two bread types of appetizers, and the waitress exclaimed it was a lot of bread, which should have been my first clue. Had two appetizers, between four people. Crostini and the bruschetta were very good, but very small.We asked the waitstaff if the salads were meal salads, and they confirmed they were. I had less than a quarter of a beet on my so called "Beet Salad", and while the grapefruit was fresh and delicious, it was also very small. Two out of four of our dinner party asked for their dressing on the side, and they brought all four on the side. I didnt think this was a difficult request, but there you go.Service was lacking, and along with high prices this leads me to overall dissatisfaction.

Im a bit late but I finally wanted to write my review for the amazing service we got from Diane.Last year in November, my partner and I got married and one of the things you need for a wedding is of course a caterer that provides delicious food for all the hungry guests. We had a smaller wedding with only about 40 guests. After looking at different caterers and getting a bit desperate because the date came closer and closer we finally found Diane and Just in Thyme.We met up with her in her restaurant to discuss a potential menu and what other items we would need (like plates and glasses, etc). Diane was super helpful with the planning. We had a few ideas for a potential menu but only with Dianes help were we able to come up with a tasty sounding list of dishes.On the wedding day, Diane and her helpers came by the place we rented and started cooking (we had a big kitchen in there for her to do her magic). In a few hours, she put together an amazing menu to feed 40 people. We booked buffet-style serving and once the tables were set, food was served.I am still amazed -thinking back on it- how great the food was. Several of my friends who attended the wedding also commented on how tasty it was. They expected standard wedding food which is not necessarily always a hit and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and great flavor of what was served.Dianes food certainly made a great day even better. She wasnt even bothered by some of my relatives sneaking into the kitchen to get a better look on whats cooking. I am actually surprised not more people tried to get in there because the food smells coming out of there were just that amazing.I can highly recommend her services. It was a joy dealing with her and setting everything up.

Once you are inside you find a peaceful atmosphere. Came as a party of 4 and found all the food great. The clam chowder was full of clams versus just potatoes. My pork chops were hot and tender and could have used only a touch more seasoning to be outstanding. Were this spot more advertised then it should be filled to capacity as good as the food was. The lady providing service I mistook to be an owner as she was soon attentive to us.

I was surprised about this place, its a nice almost italian restaurant, very much good food, but the name was a little misconcieved for me, i was under dressed in t-shirt and shorts.None the less, i am happy Gilroy is getting these nice places to eat vs the usual fast food joints.

The food was very good! I had the Beef Burguignon, and my wife had the Pecan Chicken. I started with the macaroni and cheese as well. Everything was unique, and delicious. The sauce on the beef may have been slightly under seasoned, but the subtlety was nice with the quality of the beef, which was cooked perfectly.Our server John did a great job, and had we not been too full, we would have loved to partake in the bread pudding. Im already looking forward to our next visit!

Simply delicious! Stopped on our way to San Francisco and do not regret it. Turkey sandwich with gruyere was outstanding. Great place to have lunch, dont let the curve appeal scare you off... the decor inside is very trendy.

Just in Thyme catered my baby shower and I would highly recommend them! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Diane designed an awesome menu that impressed all of our guests while still satisfying all of my weird pregnancy cravings. She was very professional and very easy to work with, and she really listened and came up with a menu that satisfied our "foodiness" and our desire to host an event with local, sustainable, and organic ingredients.
