Café Tasse in Salmon Arm

Came here because it was right by the water and the last few reviews were good. The place has a cute French decor. Not busy, it was just the 2 of us. We ordered the Croque Monsieur and the Galette Tasse. I was surprised it was just a $15 Grilled Cheese that came with a slice of ham and a Galette Tasse, good $16 diet crepe. We had much better, less pricey crepe in BC. We also ordered 2 hot waters without lemon, but it came with lemon, for .50 the hot water tasted like hot water. The lemons were thinner then a few pieces of paper. They also played Dr Phil or Jerry Springer on tv loudly, all I heard was someone complaining but didnt really recall seeing a tv when we sat down. It was such a forgettable experience, I had to do a double take at the name when I was walking to my car.

The service was exceptional! Although understaffed to serve the patio, the server made an exception for us and our dogs. And the crepes and coffee were fantastic!

Great place to have is tasty breakfast. Definitely worth the drive in off of the main highway.

Beautiful salad, the dressing was spot on, the sandwich was delicious and will go back again soon.

Posh french bistro with authentic eats and coffee is what youll find here. Cant recommend this place enough!

OUSTANDING. The owner, the service the food 100% real French bistro. The owner is a sweetheart. Ive had real crepes in France. This is the exact same quality. 5 stars all day long. The ambience is just like walking off the street in Paris. Go here you will be very impressed

Delicious food, excellent service and celiac friendly sweet and savory crepes:Its always a treat to come here for breakfast, whether you eat in the charming interior or do takeout and enjoy the lake views on the hotel patio. Theyll even bring it out to you if theyre not too busy! My celiac husband feels safe eating here, they can do a special 100% buckwheat batter for celiacs and are careful about cross contamination.

French sandwiches and beverages done to perfection. They also do eggs for brekky. I had the Cafe au Lait and the Croque Madame with an extra egg. Was superb.

Decent menu- prices are a bit higher then we were expecting- wasn’t a lot of flavour in the flavoured drinks we had and the temperature of them was lower then what you would expect to get.

Awful. If this place wasnt attached to the hotel, it wouldnt survive. They should seriously consider finding a new owner. Day old pastries every day. The owner is one of nastiest women youll meet. Better off supporting other local cafes.

O.....M.....G❣❣❣❣This place is sooòoooo good😋😋 The 4 ingredient Chocolate cake was indescribably delicious. I had the Goat Cheese Salad with toasted Almonds and Chicken. This is one of the best salads I have ever tasted, So fresh.I would most definitely recomend this place to EVERYONE❣❣🌞

Excellent picturesque café for a pause after a walk along the boardwalk, wharf or lakeshore. Lattes were great, croissant and chocolate cookie were warmed to perfection. Currently take out only as a covid measure, the caféis quite small, there is lovely bistro seating in the attached hotel lobby with a beautiful view of the lake. Excellent friendly service.

Amazing coffee and scrumptious treats. Their crepes are a wonderful breakfast choice and their sandwiches paired with soup or salad hit the spot. I love the raspberry vinaigrette that goes on the mixed green salad. My favorite coffee is the cafe breva so creamy and delicious. It is worth a visit!

Just popped in before checking out of the hotel for a hangover snack and a coffee. Got an Americano and an almond croissant, which was amazing. Wish I bought another to savour for later. Staff was friendly and we got our order quickly.The place is nice and bright with a lovely Parisian white and pink look. I loved the feel and it would have been nice to sit in a eat a crepe were things not in Covid mode. Hope I can stop by again soon.

Pastry perfection - Absolutely fantastic! Very COVID conscious, excellent protocols. Take out only at this time but the owners are going the extra mile to ensure a special experience. Absolutely delicious buckwheat crepe Galette, Croque Monsieur and perfect Broccoli Cheddar soup. Gave my son an extra little treat that made his day. Must stop in Salmon Arm!

Great coffee, excellent French croissants,sit down seating overlooking lake outside on patio. All for take out orders. What more could one ask for

Cute french cafe in the Prestige. Crepes were tasty and well made. I had the Paris crepe with ham and Swiss and enjoyed it! Lots of coffee options as well.I visited during Covid and they have a great procedure in place. I took my food to-go and enjoyed them at the park only a short walk away.

Weve been to this cafe a few times, when we visit Salmon Arm. They have really good food, coffee/tea. We make it a point to stop in for a visit everytime we are in town.

Food was amazing! The girl who helped us was very accommodating and professional, definitely worth a stop!

Wow! What a cute little place. The food was beautiful and tasted just as delicious as it looked. I loved that my tea came in China tea cups. Love this place!

Mixed feelings about this place...We were driving through Salmon Arm and wanted to stop for coffee or perhaps lunch. We found this place online with good reviews, one of which stated that there was outdoor seating.The cafe is very cute and tastefully decorated but the smell of the place was unappetizing (it smelled like burned stale oil). Outdoor seating was not available neither. So we finally decided to take a coffee to go and sit at the hotel patio overlooking the lake, which was nice. The cappuccinos and hot chocolate we ordered were exceptional.I’m sure that the food is good too, but they need a better ventilation system and more appealing food display (the food on display was Saran-wrapped).

The rude woman/owner at the counter ruined the experience of trying this place out (3rd worst service experience of my life). Food is passible at best. Cookies taste stale & were poorly made. Rather than asking if I wanted cream on my tart, which I tried to tell her I didnt, she forced me away from the counter area all together after ordering my food. She also appears to have been deaf as I ordered 1, but received & paid for 2 of 1 on my orders. Owner also told me how I would like my food despite my protests, & then talked down to me while forcing me to move toanother area of the shop. Ambience is so so with a feeling of budget induced cheapness when looked at carefully. In a business where service is key, they failed spectularly. Will not return & would advise against patronage. Also would suggest not getting idiots to post comments when a 2 star was already a more than generous rating & I did not explain all the other issues I had here. Enjoy the now 1 star review.

Excellent service and a nice quiet and intimate café. Croissants were some of the best Ive had and our sweet and savoury crepes were delicious. Overall food was above average. Delicious!Chai tea latte was underwhelming as it could have used perhaps another tea bag. Flies buzzing around and a room temperature a little above comfortable but otherwise we look forward to coming again soon.

Delicious place for a coffee and some yummy desserts. I had a apple cake that was superb and my wife had a lemon tart that she loved. Will most definitely be coming back. Worth a stop if you are in Salmon Arm.

Amazing little place. i was too hungry to take any pictures but the breakfast was very good. very friendly staff and its right inside the hotel so you really dont need to go far .

This is a good little cafe that I would recommend making the time for. The food was fresh and to be honest prices in line with any quality meal.My earlier comment needed elaboration, "Dont go there hungry" means this is not Tim Hortons! Dont just go to scarf down some food but take the time to enjoy the visual feast and the unique Flavours which in my very traveled experience was different enough for me to remember a month later. I am including some pictures to assist the visual palette.

We would give it more stars out of 5 if we could. Our party of 8 returned to this cafe/patisserie and loved every single thing we ordered, again. Very friendly staff, incredible food, and perfect espresso-based drinks made this another memorable breakfast. Portion sizes are large and prices are very reasonable for the high quality food you receive. It is a cozy, laid back cafe and is kid-friendly.

The crepes are so good! Had the crepe tasse and an iced latte on the patio while my dogs sat outside. Lovely little spot and very friendly staff. Would recommend :)

Such a cute cafe! They have a great variety of sweet and savory crêpes. They also have a good selection of coffee beverages and teas. The cafe is small and seating is limited, which gives it a cozy and relaxed feeling. The food is delicious and the service is quick, we waited only 10 minutes for two meals.

Very nice cafe with French feel. Lovely China and cutlery and food was very tasty. Best croissant Ive had in a long time too.

I peaked my head in the door like a looky-loo, and thought that it looked delightful, despite its glaring lack of a ferris wheel. Though they did have a lovely Festivus bush on display year-round in the lobby.

Great place with attention to detail! I highly suggest you visit this gem if passing through town. My only suggestion would be to serve breakfast/Brunch till 1pm. :)

Cafe Tasse was wonderful! I would highly recommend ignoring the one star review here on google as Cafe Tasse was an absolute delight all around. Their galettes and crepes were delicious, very authentic, and were obviously made with the utmost care with farm-fresh, local ingredients. Everything we tried was amazing and the staff was friendly and patient while we agonized over what to order on their menu - since everything sounded so delicious. Our only regret was that we couldnt order the whole menu for our brunch!

The galettes are not made with buckwheat as advertised but its actually a blend of wheat (cheaperand buckwheat. Very misleading! All for the sake of saving money and still charge customers too much for what its worth. Its also upsetting for those of us who avoid wheat/gluten.This cafe is a travesty and does not represent what a good and authentic galette is. Dont waste your time and money.
