Cafe Society in Valletta

An incredibly relaxing place. There are many events here including live music. Really good cocktails at affordable prices. You can just on the stairs on a pillow or on the chairs. I highly recommend this place as is also gay friendly with a lot of events.

I found this place as being one of the most relaxing places in Malta. Great music, perfect atmosphere, well trained and polite staff and the best owner one could possibly meet.

Great vibes! The combination of the cushions on the steps, mini crate tables and glowing candles in a paper bag were too cute to just walk past. Perfect stop for a cold (well pricedbeer after an afternoon of exploring gorgeous Valletta. Friendly staff and quiet, chilled atmosphere. Loved it!

A small side street cafe & bar in a more calm area of Valetta. Easy to reach and open longer than the average bar (at least on weekdays). The selection of cocktails is rather small but very diverse. Everyone can probably find something fitting for them. Theyre prepared skillfully and with compassion. Pricing is very fair. Definitely worth a visit.

I had a couple of drink 2 days ago. It has a LBGTq+ flag on the front but it’s definitely not gay bar at all. The bar is run by an American guy, quite rude and arrogant, who believes he is in “America”, not in Europe.Not a place to recommend.

A fabulous bar with unreal staff. A special shout out to a gorgeously sound Chilean fella, Sebastián, who we had the fortune to get chatting with, what a beautiful person! We were in Saturday night. Really good atmosphere and affordable prices. Only problem is they do not have air conditioning inside which is really bad during summer time if you want to stay inside...

A brilliant place and clearly immensely popular - loads of people order drinks and sit on the steps outside the bar, facing down to the water. Much clearer inside, and great music and live DJ sets some evenings.We opted for the Aztec Julep which features Tepache, a Mexican fermented pineapple juice that they ferment themselves at Cafe Society. Fruity and not too punchy.The Pea-sco Sour is very innovative, beautifully presented, and delicate flavours with a good kick of sugar-snap pea - very refreshing!The Bajtra Paloma has strong grapefruit and woody flavours (from the mezcaland uses Maltese bajtra, which gives a hint of bubblegum/watermelon flavour (just a hint!). Overall, delicious and refreshing for someone that enjoys citrusy drinks (the Bajtra mellows the tangy grapefruit).Bar staff were brilliant and great to chat to. A really great cocktail bar in the heart of Valletta.

Very chill out vibe here! Outdoor seating, amazing views of the streets and water, lots of drink options for good prices, and some of the nicest staff. Can’t wait to go back.

Walking by this place we were enthralled by the view from the outside seating area and decided to try some of the cocktails. Ended up coming back and tasting almost everything on the cocktail menu and loving all of it. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Good prices for the best cocktails in Malta, especially the Chai Your Luck cocktail. Needless to say I will recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Malta.

The outdoor seating of Cafe Society on steps leading down to the Grand Harbour, is an ideal spot to enjoy a coffee or beer, while looking straight out across the water to Birgu. Staff are friendly and helpful. The frequent ocean liners and ships that exit the harbour make a dramatic sweep across the view. Uncomfortable chairs, but worth it for the view.

Service and drinks were outstanding! Phoenix was a great bar tender and was very knowledgeable. The drinks he recommended were delicious! Perfect spot to stop and get a drink!

Fantastic place! Went on a Wednesday evening and had a great time listening to the live Jazz from the talented musicians. Drinks are splendid, staff are friendly, and theres just a lovely energy all round!

Very nice place located on the stairs of a narrow street with a beautiful view. The staff was very nice and friendly and the service was quick. We had very good draught Sicily beers. The design is different with projections on the walls and the story of the bar written on the bar itself.

Very nice and cozy place. Drinks are nit expensive and the quality is great. The spot has a beautiful view and the music was also amazing, very recommended.

Lively crowd in this place, with a great vibe. We had two gin, but for my taste I would have poured a bit more of gin. The staffs welcoming, and they provide you an umbrella in case it starts to rain (and it did).

Have a pint or few of local smaller (not Ciskbreweries beer like Huskie, Stretta or Lord Chambray. Love stair views. Please not that no eat (not allowed from other places too), so its only a healthy drink place.

Great wine and beer bar down this cosy but quietly energetic little side street with views down to the bay and 3 cities, and tables and cushions all lined up along the stone steps.

This place comes highly recommended for the great cocktails, friendly staff and relaxing ambience. Places to sit inside and lounge by the stairs outside with a view of the water. Live band on Wednesday evenings - was super fun. Highly reccomend the espresso martini!

Wow!!! The reviews were not wrong! This place was awesome. Great bar staff that was knowledgeable and led me to some great cocktails. It was Wednesday nite so there was a great band and ambience in the place. If you like wonderful craft cocktails this place is worth a try.

It is great little bar, with AWESOME cocktails. When I say awesome, I mean the best cocktails in the whole Malta (and I tried in over 6 places). The bartenders are great as well. They remaind me on the movie Coyote Ugly (but without the dancing on the bar :). Great place!!
