Café Salween - Cafe in Rangoon, Myanmar
The environment is quite relax and the Americano is amazing.
Uber cool place offering the best coffee I’ve had in Yangon. Extensive coffee options including cold brew. List of yummy food as well! Great place to hang out or work
Coffee is great and food as well. Myanmar monhinga available. I am sure I will go there again.
Drinks menu is superb.Pizza is delicious but fewer choice.Beef pho is normal.Dessert menu would be very nice for foreigners but not for locals. Free wifi, almost every table has nearest plug for your electronics devices. It located in the Urban Asia Center which is not much quiet space.
Nice ambience and decor but kind of noisy because of next doors bars and day clubs.
Nice coffee and space. Great and unique foods too. Drinks are excellent 👍
The food is great.. Coffee as well...I would love to give 5..only this vegetable salad took 20mins.. With only 3 table of customer... Staffs didnt even bring it to serve only busy with chitchat at the counter...The desert was brough out at the same time. 🙄.. Even I told to bring out laterThe rest are okay..Just be notice that it took long time to wait for the food... Last time, its understandable as my order was porkchop.. CANT imagine how long would it take if the place are crowded.
Coffee and the vibe there is really awesome. Definitely recommend it. I especially love their aesthetics and indoor plants.
You might feel foods are a little bit expensive when u browsing the menu and compare to other restaurants. But when food arrived in front of you straight from the kitchen, you will realize, its worth what you paid.Well, you will also like the atmosphere of that place as well.
I ordered the Burmese Honeycomb Pancakes and the Gypsy Crepe from Café Salween for delivery the other day and wasn’t satisfied (so I let them knowAND Café Salween really came through and prepared a fresh batch of these dishes and delivered it again to me the next day (tasted so much better tooand I will forever be grateful for them and their A+ customer service!!
Enjoy my afternoon tea break ,delicious Long black ice and traditional Myanmar banana cake😋
Great local coffee nicely brewed several ways (from chemex to pour over). Descent food menu. My absolute hits are burmese crepes and salads (pennyworth, tomato, tealeaf). Fresh and crispy - thats what I love. I think their laphet thoke is the best in Yangon. Desserts are not my cup of tea. They either remind me baked porridge or banana bread when I forgot to put eggs into dough. Still 5 starsIf they added some European style desserts with local spirit I would give 6))))
Brilliant Coffee and at a high standard. I had been working at a cafe in NZ and the coffee scene there is of a hight standard mostly so I was used to drinking heaps of the good stuff everyday, since then Ive been on the road for over 6 months now and nothing that even comes close to the high standard and well thought out cup of heaven, this was until me and my partner stumbled upon this hidden gem. The lads are very professional and with good skills at the machine and good hygiene (so happy to see somewhere in South East Asia cleaning their steam wands!!Good job lads and youre obviously doing great work as I spotted the trophies lined up on the bar for latte art competitions 👌 some really great and fresh ideas on the menu with drinks. The food looked amazing but unfortunately apart from the looks, I cant comment any further as I only went for coffee. My partner had a local frappe mocha which could of easily came out like most frappes without much thought but this came in a nice stylish glass and finished with fresh honeycomb. Its these extra touches thst will make them a step above the rest and what a great time for these lads to be getting the coffee scene booming in Myanmar 👌 Thank you Cafe Salween ☕👍
A must try. Best place to catchup with friends or business meetings. Ambience is such that you are sure gonna feel comfortable. A must try is their hazelnut cappuccino and banana cake slice. Thought try anything from their wide menu depending on your taste. I pretty much liked everything that I have tried till now.
Their foods and coffee is tasty and nice. Customer service train well.
Their food and relaxed ambience brought me here again. Service excellent, prices reasonable. Coffee variations mind boggling.
*English friendly menu & service*Great drink and food options! Workers are very sweet and attentive. The wifi is 10/10 so its the perfect place to study.Pictured: Iced coconut milk latte & sweet potato friesMy only suggestion would be to have more non-dairy milk substitutes, like oat or almond milk :)
Staff is polite, cozy and clean environment though the Cafe is not easy to find. The coffee is ok, i ordered mocha, may be the hand drip will taste better.
Cozy. Nice decor.Very good coffee. A wide variety of creative cold brew coffee mocktail.
Coffee is lovely here. The food too. Had the fusion pesto noodle and was happy with it. The place is quiet and beautiful choice of background music. Nice to spend time here for brunch.Another visit I had the Tofu salad which was good but could reduce the salty level on this dish. The Golden Hand noodle and Pineapple beef curry were great.
Absolutely amazing Café! Not only the staff is extremely friendly, but also the latte art is the best I’ve ever seen. Not to forget the coffee itself was also really, really good!.
Crazy skilled and friendly staff, incredible interior and excellent coffee.
Coffee is excellent, great if your a bit of a coffee nerd. The food was a little bland. The baked eggs in particular was really bland, literally tasted like it had no seasoning at all, not even salt or pepper.
Very cosy and „instagenic“ place with great coffee. Several brewing techniques are available
The best cafe in town to have a cup of coffee and read books or work. Foods are delicious, I recommend Lemon Poppy Seed Cake and Pork Ribs in Kachin herbs. Smell so nice and delicious. The best part is the music to chill. They play House and Lounge for you to enjoy a good atmosphere.
Their mont lat kout kyaw - Myanmar fried donut was the best Ive had. So light, airy, crispy yet sticky. Unexpected. Was looking forward to coffee but coffee was disappointing. Had too many choices that it took us 15mins to choose but whatever we ppicked was out of stock... so ended up with cold brew. Not very impressive.
Coffee is excellent, but it does have that kind of overly creamy taste from the milk that all Myanmar seems to have, but these guys are passionate about their coffee. Food was great too, free wifi and clean toilet. Fresh water too, Service a bit slack but not bad overall
You can take a chill this cafe with a high ceiling and strong wifi signal. You can think it is little expensive but it is reasonable to consider another
This place is great! The space is very cozy, great to bring your computer and do some work as well as to meet up with friends. They have a variety of teas (3k for a pot with refilland the food is good as well. I got the shan pasta (6kand the lentil soup (1.5k). They do charge tax and service tax (10%but the service was very good and staff was sooo helpful and nice that they deserve it.
awesome place to enjoy delicious fusion Myanmar food in nice location with awesome service
Lovely & Great ambience for having breakfast / lunch / desserts with nice coffee/tea.. I am from overseas n just spotted cafe and hard to find as kind of hidden..Surprising love the sweet potato cake which it was a “wow” when I had my first bite.. Wish I will return to try more choices of the cake in the future!!Friendly staff and polite.. But their English can be more improve.. Keep it Up
Ok, good coffee. But extremely high prices. And it is very loud inside, no good place for a chilled chat or working.
Absolutely terrible, went away without even finishing my drink. Took me ages to explain the staff that I needed a dairy free smoothie. Such a place with those prices didnt even have soya milk! They made the smoothie using a probably cheap coconut cream because it turned out to be disgusting. On the menu they write that smoothies and yogurt are served with rolled oats and nuts but I havent seen any of those. The athmosphere and the drink presentation was so good but if you wanna keep those high prices you gotta deliver good quality and service as well
Lovely ambiance with tasty coffee and tea. Lots of beverage options. Especially enjoyed the coconut latte. Food was mixed. Some dishes a bit lacking in flavor. The ginger salad was delicious. Service was on the slow side.
Really polite staff. The coffee here is super delicious with several brewing methods to choose from. Their food menu is substantial for breakfast or lunch. A great choice for a quiet coffee break or snack. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommend!
Its a contemporary place with a fusion cuisine. I tried the tea leaf rice burger and it was good. Also tried the single origin coffee, and wasnt too impressed. Maybe Im not a coffee connoisseur. The staff is friendly but can give more information on the food and coffee to help non-Myanmar consumers choose the right dishes.
Yum! Stylish and quiet environment, great wifi, and yummy food. I had a latte and a brunch plate. The staff is kind and speaks English. I like that its in a quiet alleyway also. Highly recommend you go here.
A great place to chill and catch up with friends. Great coffee with warm and friendly customer service and atmosphere. All you need are good coffee, a book or a good friend to have a great day. The cafe never fail to make my day better.
High standard coffee shop with various types of coffee with totally get aroma for coffee lovers. Also have several types of snacks and foods are good for take breakfast or lunch with your buddies. Especially, cafe latte taste is very nice and total satisfy for me.
The name of this place has a certain ring that matches the atmosphere and the sickly light which passes through their coffee.I arrived at 4:45pm, and attempted to order a "Myanmar Crepe", "Yogurt with Honey", and a "French Press" with local bean. The staff told me the kitchen closes at 5pm, sorry, no hot food. My partner got her yogurt and honey, which was tasty, but loaded with ice cubes.20 minutes later, I received a wooden cutting board with a thin glass flask and a thin glass cup... The flask was full of piping hot but quite watery coffee. Pouring the weak coffee into the glass required me to burn my hands or precariously use a napkin for insulation. The atmosphere was a copy of something already translucent. Even the walls were fake concrete. Just grey-colored plaster on a cardboard partition.
Thoroughly deserving of its high rating, this serves high quality coffee (syphons, drips, hand brew etc as well!alongside some lovely food like pancakes with blueberry sauce! It’s tucked on the side of a huge building so easy to miss, but has a lovely interior with tables, high chaired desks and charging points if you want to work.
Great place to chill and enjoy your coffee. Their have some pretty creative dishes based on traditional street snack.
Chill, unobstrusive music, relaxing ambiance (a tree growing in the middle of the cafe!), and delicious food and coffee for a good price. Can’t recommend enough.
Clean hipster coffee place with pies, crepes, salads. It’s not overlooking the street, which is nice in case of Yangon).
Great coffee (best I’ve had in the country), food options, and nice design.
Nice place to pass the time, but my drink was too sweet. The caramel mocha was barely drinkable. All drinks are either coffee or tea. Good range of real coffee offered. Comfortable seating and nice book collection.
Great coffee, the ambience is very relaxing. the shop is located away from the main street then its good for a quiet break.
Good place for coffee and a book. One of the best offering of coffee in town. The Spanish coffee served there give a heavy structured yet rounded mouthfeel delighting every single palate on the tongue. While your book takes you around the world in an instant fighting Dragon or romance in Paris. The coffee in your cup prepare your focus for the next challenge in your real life.
Soothing atmosphere! You will feel as if you are having a decent coffee in the front yard of your own house. I love their well-prepared and aromatic single origin coffee and Burmese-inspired cakes. A must-go place if you happen to be in Yangon.
A nice quiet little cafe in Asia Business Center. They make good coffees. Currently running a soft promotion campaign of "Pay as you want" which means pay as you wish for whatever you order. Hope they come up with nice breakfast options. Their desserts were moderate. Need them to be more exciting to keep trying again. Lovely decor and staff is attentive.
