No-frills modern restaurant serving an all-day menu of familiar kebabs, curries and veggie options.
Overpriced. Omelette for over £5. Wasn’t impressed with it at all. Oily and overcooked! The only decent item we ordered was aloo paratha.
Just had our first taste of your food. Amazing !Everything ordered was good.Cant wait to take the family to eat in.Many thanks, see you soon.
No complain about food but service is very poor .last two visits and waiters have no clue what they doing.something mising from order then went to staff and ask about my missing order but after half hour still no response.very poor service.
Food was great but service was painfully slow and missed tea order completely. Disappointing visit.
Very good food ,all staff is hard working, especially humaira rafiq, very good in dealing with customers 👍
visited your restaurant. comfortably. beautifully. delicious. we will definitely come again.
Their breakfast is good, however, they charge too much for samosa chat and their appetisers. They need to sort their prices out. For example, they charge us a hefty £4.25 for only ONE samosa chaat. The girl serving us told us that it was £3.75 but when we went to pay at the till, we were told it was £4.25. Total scam and definitely not worth it.
Good food and great service. Have been dining here for years and never disappointed. Recently been having business meetings.. staff are so considerate.
Excellent food, well prepared and really tasty.Waiting service 100% very courteous and always willing to help and serve.
I used to love eating here.. now all you get is horrible customer service. Waiters need to have more training instead of rushing around encouraging customers to rush their meals and rudely taking plates away whilst customers are still trying to finish their main course. Management needs to read this review and not take offence.
Called in on a Sunday lunchtime just before they got really busy.Ordered 1/2 KG Tawa Keema which was fantastic. Absolutely loved this. Spicy, fresh coriander and chillies, simple but flavoursome. This half a kg felt like a huge portion considering what I had recently at Sultans earlier this week. The £10 keema portion was almost twice as much as I got for a large portion of chicken and lamb for £16 each at Sultans.Had this with tandoori roti and though I understand why Regals would use wholemeal/medium atta it wasnt as good as white atta. Gets a bit tough when not hot. Also ordered Samosa chaat. My personal preference is lots of freshly cut onions, tomatoes, cucumber and fresh mint and coriander on the samosa chaat which was lacking. I asked for no chutney for the kids but would have expected some plain yoghurt in its absence. Still tasted fine but felt it could have been better. About on par with Cafe Janaan who seem to claim theirs is world famous. The kids tried a chicken wrap between them but found it too spicy.Dont know why I havent bothered trying Cafe Regal before but I will be back, especially for the lamb koftey I noticed on the menu. Not many places seem to serve these for some odd reason.Definitely good food and good value. Plenty of indoor, well spaced out seating. Staff were ok. One young lady looked after us very well. The lads were a bit casual, but still got the job done
Always have a good experience here, I tend to buy the mixed platter/grill with naan ....the food is nice, the customer service has always been on point and the price is reasonable. Based on this overall I would say that Cafe Regal is probably one of the best places to eat out in Bradford if youre with family or friends.
Love charsi chickenPortions are big so order leas first - even the tandoori roti is bigWhen i go here - i don’t expect service so i am not dissatisfied with serviceOne star less coz they can improve on staff, ambiance, overall sparkling clean place.Food is gooood and value for money!
I was there few time but every time they make what they like not as per our order one of worst place in Bradford I will say plz dont atten for anything if you want to eat anything plz go anywhere in Bradford but not to them sorry to say its our last time with them I was really disappointed here is the charges also as per them looked the fish 🤔🤔🤔
Food and customer service was exceptional. Fantastic customer service and Delicious hot fresh food
have been a very regular customer for the past few years but definitely the last time will be going, atmosphere is very very unwelcoming , as a mother i go in with my children, i tend to always go with my kids and yes they run around but the stares they get from staff are absolutely awful and awkward, not as though your giving free food anyway, definitely will not be going there again, dont know if this reveiew would even make a diffrence to them but i hopw it helps others.. have tried to ignore it a few times ive been going but cant deal with it any more.
The food is really good and the place was quite busy for a Sunday late afternoon. Guess thats why we had to wait longer for our orders.
Very good customer service...toilets were under repair still one off the staff member took my son to staff toilets...food was delicious well recommended..
Waited 40 mins for one roti and didn’t get our jug of mango lassi at all. When we went to complain on till no apology from manager or any one seems like they are not bothered at all 😡😡
3rd time we have been, better quality than Manchesters touristy curry mile.Food is great, good value , staff are pleasant and friendly, used the sweet shop adjoining also , overall excellent meal
Food is ok, parking is good, clean and quick service. Slightly expensive, tea was no good. Halwa puri was ok. Omelette and pratha no good. Pai and lasi was tasty
A decent breakfast in a good location and set-up. Was busy, service was good... Had the buffet and a generous serving of 3 Puries. Young Mario welcomed us with a warm smile... Quality of Desi Tea needs improving and Puries were a little on the oily side. Cash Only too, we had to bank transfer 😂
Food was lovely and we always had a place to sit. Large selection of curries and grilled food. I would recommend this for family with children. The restaurant is large but set up as a caffee style so you dont have to worry kids making a mess. Next door is a cake and sweet shop where you can get your sweet tooth fix.
Nice family restaurant. Food good. They do breakfast buffet too. Service is good and fast but staff was bit rude
Great locat restaurant and attached bakery. Popped in for a curry, great traditional taste. Definitely pop in, if you are local you wont be disappointed..I hope 😀
Nice clean place, decent family atmosphere and the food is not bad at all. Well worth a try, prices are in line with the food.
Went there on 9th May for my 40th Birthday. I was so disappointed with the food and the service. Waitress was talking on the phone and talking to us the same time in a language which I couldnt even understand. We ordered full chicken and hafe chicken which was overloaded with onions, the chicken was over cooked to the point we found it so dry that we couldnt even swallow. Previously when I visited it was amazing but this time I am so disappointed that I am not ever going back.
PLEASE DONT IGNORE!!The last time ill be going there!!! I went with my kids which included a baby also my sister and her kids, the way we were treat as soon as we walked in by a girl behind the till was very rude and unwelcoming!!! Her attitude was discusting it was like shed either never seen kids before, i asked to speak to a manager and one of the waiter said he was the manager, and then said oh the manager will be here at the end of the day. People who have kids understand kids will be kids they run around etc i would never reccomend this again we asked for the food weres partially cold and extra spicy when we clearly asked for it to be mild OVER ALL IF I COULD GIVE BELOW ZERO I WOULD THEY NEED MORE WELCOMING STAFF THAT SMILE WHEN YOU WALK IN NOT START SCREAMING ACROSS THE SHOP IF A BABY HAS LOOKED AT A CAKE
Delicious starters served outside. Great atmosphere. It can get busy. There is a good variety including samosas, pakoras, malaise chicken, kebabs, alu tikki, masla fish, jalebi, ras malai etc. The masala fish is especially nice.
I really was disappointed with the service here. Firstly, the man taking my order didnt even have a pen and he used a literal spoon to write my order it was as if he wasnt even taking it seriously and was on his phone throughout the wholetime I was there. Secondly, I wasnt satisfied with the food as my whole family suffered from food poisoning after eating from here. Unless you want a tummy bug I suggest you dont go here.
Great littlebplacce for functions, we had womens day celebrations. Helpful staff and plenty parking spaces.
Heavily over priced.Bad customer service, the women have not got a clue about customer service.Stated Keema Pranta but was a meat paati in the middle of a Pranta utter Fail. Not impressed.
Food was amazing we order lamb chops masala and Maghaz. Staff is lovely and very helpful too. We were looked after by Awais he took care of our food and needs.. would definitely recommend it authentic food lovers…
We always love going to Regal. The Halal food is on point. They serve all the traditional curries and starters that are cooked to perfection, and their mixed grill is beautiful. They also serve a desi breakfast and the lachi paranthas are magnificent, with their desi tea. They do a really nice Nehari dish served with naan, ballisimo.Would definitely recommend this place if your in the area...
Excellent attitude from staff, great quality food and prices. Water awaiting on arrival rather than those establishments who charge you for it and refuse to offer you a glass of tap water. Regal is a sincere and caring food restaurant and takeaway. My go to place for a peaceful eat and stress free eat out. Well done to management and staff.
Love the desi breakfast. Really helpful staff. Nice seating area. Good menu options. Will visit again.
Best Halwa puri in the region. Weekend halwa puri buffet is their best thing. Value of money and quality meals.
Really bad experience with these people, Ive ordered my engagement cake from them in June, they got the flower colour wrong. I asked for ivory and they put light green. It didnt bother me much because it was an engagement cake. I had to go back and order a cake for my wedding, the reason why I had to order it from regal is because of allergy issues in the family and this is the only place weve tried that they can have. Ordered a 2 tier naked tall cake with white and maroon colour, really simple and showed and sent a picture to them. Went in again 2 days before my wedding to make sure they got the order right because it was really important to me as it was my wedding cake. When I saw the cake I was in shock of how it looked. Plus it had some staining onto the cream which I couldnt even fix there and then. Went back to them 2 weeks after after wedding the women that works there was so rude. I explained to her the problem and I told her that Ive sent her the pictures of how I want it she started laughing and said are you here for this? We cant do anything for you. I insisted to talk to the manager, she told me to ring after 3 which I did. A guy called omar said he will look into it and give me a call back. Its been 2 weeks and still nothing. Ive called a couple of times and they kept taking my details and day that they will call me back. So disappointed and waste of money. The differences in the picture can show that. How can you get a simple order like this wrong.
Highly Recommended BreakfastBest Halwa puri with Channa available here for Breakfast with Pakistani taste Achaar (pickle). Naats were on for the respect of Rabi-ul-awal. Very nice Atmosphere mashallah.Again visited for Breakfast on Sunday morning. Lovely staff made our day by wishing my husband surprised Birthday, I can say just amazing. We felt like a family. Again amazing serving of Channa and puri. Their cake is also yummy purchasing from them from more than 10 years. All staff got a big smile on face. Lovely trip great Serving Mashallah.
First impression not last poor service waitresses too busy on mobile phones or chatting to others dont even come service ya when they did do we ordeed food and eat got back home too 3days off belly bugs and runs not to mention food poisoning definitely wont be going again place was a joke and waiters had heads stuck in phones kept having to ask them too serve us then missing things and constantly having to ask for things child was getting fed up poor service and waiters need to up there customers service skills quick at taken your money tho food looked nice but wasnt good with having food intolerances and even after asking them too put very small amount off spices stil made it hot then toò get home to agony and belly bug and food poisoning il be making a complaint to the manager soon wasted my money. Never again!
Tried it for the first time while visiting Bradford. Great taste, good fast service and freshly served breakfast. Good portion of 3 Puri + Halwa, but the Channae were a small portion could do with a bit more. Overall good experience for the family good seating and hygienic environment.
I been going to Cafe regal for years. Great Family place to eat with lots of choices. They have separate breakfast menu followed by Lunch/dinner menu. only down side is their customer service they have lots of staff but sometimes they just ignore you. You have to wait to get waiters attention if you need something. if they improve this they will be best in bradford.
Tried this place first time when visiting Bradford. Firstly should have come earlier as it was completely packed and there were long queues. However the service is quick so the wait wasn’t too long. We had the breakfast buffet, the food was great but the chai was a disappointment. Frankly it should be included in the buffet which is generously priced. Overall good experience & visit recommended.
Decided to pop in with a few friends. Regal is an institution in Bradford so expecting great things! The service was awful, the waiters were young lads walking around but doing their best to avoid eye contact at all costs! We had to walk up to the kitchen to get our own plates because they hadn’t arrived with our main course. If we wanted anything, we found ourselves leaping out of our seats to get the attention of the staff. They simply weren’t bothered. The main course was reasonable but the kulchi naan was out of this world.Would come back if the service was improved and a little more attention was paid to the quality of the food. Honest feedback- be great if someone took this on board!
Last time I came to this restaurant was approximately 10 years ago. What disappointment. We were a family of five and only one of our meals was acceptable(payaeverything else was poor quality. The service was poor, the waiter just though the plates on the table with no care. Drinks were room temperature. When we finished the meal the waiter asked if everything was ok as he saw we did not eat any of our food. I told him everything that I thought of the food and all he could say is we appreciate feedback. I expected somebody to come to us and apologise but nobody came so I got up paid the bill and left . I have attached photos of the bathroom nobody seems to be keeping on top of the cleaning their. Its a real shame as this restaurant used to be really good quality
Homemade and home cooked style food, which tastes great apart from being a bit oily. If you are not bothered about it, then this is the place for desi food. We went for breakfast and ordered plain Parathas with desi omelette plus Aloo Paratha. The pickle and spicy mint raita was a nice touch. Also ordered desi tea, which was yummy and Peshawari kahwa, which tasted like tea. As the reviews suggested, the place was filling up pretty quickly and was popular. It was a very big place and they also have a big bakery which sells Indian sweets, cakes, pastries, savoury items.
A family favourite for lunch. Food is always fresh and enjoyable. Samosa chaat is a must! Seating area is large and spacious. Staff are friendly , overall a 5 stars from me
Top quality desi breakfast. Really very impressed. We had the desi omlette with paratha, the halwa Puri and chana, aloo paratha and kheema paratha, nihari and naan. We also had desi tea. Each item was very nice, and tasted authentic. The seating and ambiance us also pretty decent. The staff were also attentive and friendly. Everything was also priced well. Overall a very good experience. I would definitely recommend this place. I havent tried the lunch and dinner menu, but given how nice the breakfast was i will definitely give it a try.
Best place to indulge yourself for a proper desi breakfast. Near to perfect food with excellent halwa puris and chana. Liked their buffet style offer which gives you more variety. Neat and clean with great service. Strongly recommend to visit with family as its also value for money.
Excellent quality food especially if your going for breakfast as theres good variety. Cost is also very reasonable
