Portion size too small & taste wasn’t that good

Great food and great service. Have been living around the corner for years while the cafe changed hands many times with different cuisines. It looks like it has finally come to the right hands. The owners are friendly and the food is refreshing. Have done a great job with renovating the place too. Have tried the Kothu and the lump rice. Both amazing.

Fried chicken was not fresh and smelly.May be 3rd or 5th time re fried.Chicken curry was like water no taste at all.Wasted money and timeNot recommended

Bought 3 Chicken Kottu couple of days ago, One of the worst horrible Chicken Kottu I’ve had, waste of money and my energy driving up all the way from home, $30 +dollars gone to the bin. Avoid this place at all cost!!!!!!!!

This is the fourth time we went there. They used to have the best roast chicken koththu n fried noodles I tried in Melbourne. Also customer service was excellent before. Today when I went there I straightaway felt different vibe. Whole front and back staff were different. Customer service wasn’t that good. Menu and condiments have changed. I even asked the counter lady whether the management has changed but she said bosses are the same but working staff changed. Sorry guys it’s not the pilawoos when they started and not going there again.

Fried rice was good ..chicken kotthu is not the best...I think thats because the chicken curry was not the best..lot to improve including presantation..cleanlyness ect..otherwise its going to be a another ordinary Sri Lankan place..

Worst Sri Lankan Koththu experience!!!Ordered Cheese Koththu, Beef Koththu & Chicken Koththu. The underlying curry is a insult to Sri Lankna food. Food tastes like made by a newly married Sri Lankan girl who never been to a kitchen. What a waste of our family evening. Chef/owner got no clue or skill about whats authentic Sri Lankan food is.

Excellent Food, service and great value for money. The food was quite hot which I enjoy. For those who are less tolerant of chilly, you should request for milder options.

Had lunch at Cafe Pillawoos. The food was fantastic. Flavoursome and fresh. The service was prompt and friendly. The interior was new and the place was neat and clean. I’ve eaten Sri Lankan food in similar style places and In comparison, Cafe Pillawoos was the best by a considerable margin. I’d happily come back for another meal and would recommend this place to anyone.

The worst chicken cheese kottu we ever had. Don’t recommend the place at all.

Good lankan food on its better day. The goat biryani and the egg rotis are the best others average. The accompaning curries not great. Counter staff have excellent customer service skills. There is no consistency in the quality and flavours.

Ordered 5 beef cheese kottu, the cabbage was raw and the flavour of the Kottu was not exceptional. I have had better kottu in Melbourne than this.

Had a Chicken cheese kottu here last night, it was pretty good! Also the service is very good, everyone in the restaurant is very friendly! All in all a pretty good Sri Lankan food restaurant in Melbourne!

Felt like I was back in Sri Lanka having a rice and curry. The rice and curry was spot on. The staff are very friendly.
