Café Milchmädchen - Breakfast restaurant in Dresden, Germany
Whilst on holiday in Dresden we ate here on a Sunday morning when most places were closed. They were able to provide us with an English menu and were very friendly. There was seating both inside and outside and the food was very nice. Because it was very popular, it was pretty busy so you may want to reserve a table before going. Decor inside was great with a combination of low sofas with coffee tables and higher tables with chairs.
Excellent food, great staff and very kind service! We were very happy!
After getting some positive reviews went to this cafe with my friends for breakfast. But no one warned about the discrimination I should be prepared for before going here. Service staff there was extremely rude as if they were doing me a favor by serving me. Faces were made, some comments were made and Im not even sure why that happened. Maybe they get overboarded by the number of customers. But again no reason for this behaviour especially when you are in service industry. The food was good but the experience was completely ruined. Also, be prepared for long waiting times for getting a table. Price range was average.
Very cosy place with great coffee and sweets.
Nice place, good service, good choice for breakfast!
waited for over an hour to get salad with salmon, I understand that it can be busy, but its a salad come on 🥱
Great interior, nice staff, tasty and esthetically pleasing food. Best matcha latte I have ever drunk (pistachio iced).
Delicious avocado toast and croffel with blueberries and vanilla cream. Service is wonderful Nice outside atmosphere.
I had vegan breakfast, coffee and ice cream there. Simply loved it. Highly recommended breakfast cafe in Dresden.
I was looking forward to visiting here. Interior is great, and the service was good. However, sadly the coffee and cakes were not good...the coffee had a very sharp sourness that hurt my throat, and its covered by extremely sweet syrup. The raspberry cake was just sweet and had not much other tastes in it. The white chocolate poppy seed cake didnt taste like chocolate at all, but it tasted like just dry poppy seeds.
Lovely cafe! Nice staff and very yummy, pretty and nice foods and drinks
Great food and staff.
Been there 2 times. First time outstanding quality and service. Second was a bit of a nightmare. Kitchen was closed 1 min before our arrival, ok someone Fell Ill - happens. They served us with waffles which were nice. We also orders drinks (lemonadestasteless:( and the coffee for which we were waiting 1h and finally didnt come. Despite the bitter aftertaste we still recommend this place ;)
I stopped at the busy brunch cafe for a quick Saturday brunch. The place was completely full but I was able to share a table and conversation with another single diner. I was in a hurry and ordered a simple plate of scrambled eggs with cheese and bread but I wish I would have browsed the menu more closely. Many of the other diners seemed to be enjoying nice plates with waffles and "loaded toasts" that looked delicious. In the end, I was satisfied with the flavor and presentation of my eggs and hope to visit here again if I ever find myself in Dresden.
I had my first ever Croffle here. It was delicious. The sweetness went well with the coffee. It gets really busy so would suggest a reservation or getting here early.
Great quality food and drinks in a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly service.
We were there for breakfast, there are 9 different options, very satisfying and tasty, prices from 8 to 15 euros. Definitely recommend!
Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. Nice setting, but food was mixed: parts of our breakfast were great, parts really not very tasty. We thought the menu included some very odd combinations. Lattes had WAY too much milk frothed on them. Service was good at the start but by the end we had to ask multiple times to pay. Overall not a bad experience but could be better.
Good, in my opinion a little bit too expensive. Tasty breakfast but portions are too small for this money.
Overrated and expensive. The cakes are fine, but not exceptionally tasty. On the day I went, the Café was full and they took a while to serve us. The waitress who served us was also careless and at times rude. Her colleagues were kind on the other hand. The positive side is eating at the outside tables.
Its a cute breakfast place. But I honestly felt that the waffles are so overrated here. They are good, but not exceptionally aweome. I went on a Sunday morning without reservations and it was almost full, but could find a little spot in one of the corners. The waiting time was really less and the service was okay.
Nice!! →not crowded →fair prices (e.g. cup of coffee for 2.50 EUR •magnificent waitresses →nice furniture
A spacies and cozy place for catch up with friends and family. Chunky benedict tasted perfect! Friendly and warm service. You can tell the restaurant pays much attention to details for great customer experience. Highly recommended!
one of my favourite cafés in Dresden! Amazing breakfast and cake options!
10/10! No matter for the vibes or the service! Anyone and animals are welcomed here :having been here twice and I would say I had good time here both when I came.
I wanted to have a great breakfast before start my tour day in Dresden . I choose this restaurant because the pictures looked great and the menu very interesting. We arrived without reservation and the waitress was very nice to find a table for us and the whole service was great! The food and coffee was absolutely yummy ! Totally recommended !
One of the best places in Dresden to have breakfast. Highly Recommended. Cozy atmosphere, fast service, friendly staff, perfect price to quality and quantity ratio: breakfast for 3 persons is only 53 euro: 5 breakfast dishes, one waffle order but definately suitable for 2, 3 espresso , 2 small cappuccino, 1 big cappuccino, 1 latte macchiato.
Food is incredibly good and tasty. Service is awesome, 4 stars are for too many wasps.
Small portions. But plenty of good choices. Their World‘s best carrot cake is the best carrot cake
Small and tasty breakfast 😍😍 gluten feee options available
Nice cake and coffee but worst service ever. They would not receive our family because we were 10 adults. We had to split to several tables. I don’t see what the difference is - preparing 10 coffees split over three tables or bringing them to one big table. There was sufficient staff as well. No sense for business or how to treat customers.
Really great quality! The eggs were done to perfection, super nice breads and very good coffee. Also friendly staff. Highly recommended!
The place is much overrated. Be prepared to wait for sitting and then some for the meal. We did not get our order in full, when we reminded our waiter that a Brötchen was missing she promised to bring it but never did. Of course, she included that into the check and we had to ask for a return. Food was decent.
We came on Sunday to have breakfast. We had tried to make a reservation the day before but unfortunately everything was already taken so they suggested that we just drop by because in the terrace they dont reserve. So we went there at around 12:15 and luckily there was one table free for 2. Perfect!I had the Eier Bowl with salmon and an iced latte which were very tasty and fresh. My boyfriend tried one of the porridge bowls which he also enjoyed. In both cases we would have expected a slightly bigger portion... To finalize the breakfast we ordered a waffle which was deliciously warm and fluffy. The cakes also looked great, but we couldnt try them because we were full.
Heres the setting: Arrived around noon on a Sunday, no reservation, the place is packed, inside and outside, we wait in line for just a few minutes before the friendliness starts.Exceptional, how friendly and relaxed every single waitress was although they were probably having their busiest time of the week. It really helps in creating an atmosphere where you can truly enjoy a great breakfast.Much of the food is sourced from regional producers, the quality is great, just as the various coffee creations that are described in the menu by means of illustrations showing the different ingredients. All in all, we had a fantastic time and can wholeheartedly recommend this place of youre looking for a chillaxed breakfast option.
Cant really speak to the quality of the place because out of three times I tried I havent been able to actually get a coffee so far. Once we didnt get a seat and twice there where problems with the coffee machine. Will update my review if I end up getting coffee at some point. Really cute place though and the cake display looks great.
If I would live in Dresden I would probably be here every day... Best place for having breakfast or drinking a coffee!
Exceptional breakfast! Fresh food, especially the eggs where delicious :)
Excellent breakfast/brunch menu and choice of vegan cakes. I was a bit scared by the small size of my 9€ breakfast but, in the end, was well enough. The ingredients are of high quality and everything is really well made.
Cosy place to spend an afternoon. Good vibe. Friendly staff. English menu available.
Friendly staff and a menu for everyone. Really enjoyed the goat cheese, pears, walnut and honey toast. English menu is available.
The food is AMAZING! One of the tastiest breakfast places ive been too. The atmosphere is also very nice, its rather spacy in here even when it full. A great experience def recomend. The only problem was the service was not too nice, there for the lack of 5 stars. The waiters seemed to be angry and generally made me feel scared to order stuff, did not smile at all or made the costumers feel special or even welcome. They did a good job aside from that if only they were friendlier!
Great place, very friendly people and a surprising variety of breakfast plates. Good coffee. Worthwhile to go to for a morning breakfast. Make sure you make reservations as even on a regular day almost all tables were booked.
Amazing food for a great price. Really nice and friendly staff as well!
All the great reviews are likely for those who only stop by for a coffee and to enjoy the nice view. Can recommend only for that and not for food. Took 43 minutes from ordering to receiving our two breakfast dishes... and we noticed even people who waited even longer. Yet the food wasnt good. Most can whip up a better omlette at home in a quarter of the time. This place definitely does not deserve to be listed as recommendable breakfast spots in Dresden.
Food was nice, ambience is great. English menu available
A huge variety of breakfast/brunch food and drinks! This place has a superb atmosphere, comfortable couches and an extraordinary service with a fair price as well matching the food quality! Would totally recommend it for anyone in Dresden, who would love to grab a light brunch around noon.
Love this place! Friendly staff and great menu with all day breakfast items...! Coffee lovers with a sweet tooth will enjoy working their way through the different kinds and flavours such as Banana-Split - coffee, cherry-almond latte or chocolate - mint latte! My favourite is however the white moccachino! Highly recommended!
Best place to have breakfast/brunch. We got two different types of breakfast a d thry were amazing. And the mint, lemon and ginger tea is to die for! I highly recommend this place, do not miss it in case you visit Dresden. We were lucky to get a table so do give them a call and let them know youre coming.
Fun coffee shop, great atmosphere and service. They have few good desserts and very sweet (a little too sweetcoffee drinks.
