Bad services, bad waiter (the waiter girl almost kick me, with no smile and over late order

I think it’s the best café/restaurant in this line of lac2.We loved the decorations, music and atmosphere.The food was really yummy and their shisha is just the best. All waiters were nice and friendly.It’s bit expensive but it worth it

DO NOT GO. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.10 months later. I came back to this place hoping they got better but again I had a bad experience. They took a very long time to serve me food. Let alone the menu.

Worst service i ever seen. Rude server bullying us to consume more or get out to make room for more "important" guests and trying to scam us after we payed him. I d give it a zero if google allowed it.

The coffee is not hot, people are smoking inside and you have to sit under a cloud of mixed smoke of cigarettes and cicha.

Service is very slow and staff are asking for tips forcefully, I mean you can take tips if I want to give thats not okay to ask for it!!

Great view and atmosphere although I would rate your breakfast menu 1 star and that’s generous! Your so called « omelette » is just cooked eggs served cold, the croissants were all dry and tasteless, and the bread tasted as if it was 2 days old!You should also minimize your cardboard cups usage and switch into glass containers when serving juice or soda!

I really liked the view and the service it was so good for me to sit there . Thats really cool.I will come back

Spacious, luxurious, accommodating to large groups and one-on-one tables. Highly recommended for a party, dinner or a business meeting.

Good services and proficient staff. It has a nice view over the Lake of Tunis as well.

We ordered 2 pizzas and a sandwich, when the sandwich Arrived, we asked them how long our pizza will take and the waiter told us we didn’t order pizzas so we “re-ordered” the pizzas and after around 45 minutes the food arrived and looked horrible. The pizzas were one pepperoni and one four seasons ( which was like a different type of pizza every 2 slice like 2 slices pepperoni and 2 slice Hawaiian etc.). But for some reason the four seasons was just a cheese pizza with tomatoes organized in a way. The pepperoni had not a lot of cheese( if not none. 95.5 dinars for just 2 pizzas, a sandwich and 3 beverages.Unbelievable 🙄...

The food was very good and the view was nice, but those are the only positive points. We had The Gate sandwich and The Gate burger, they were both delicious.The big negative was the incredibly strong smell and heavy smoke of cigarettes and chicha which hits you as soon as you enter. I understand that people smoke inside, but this place must have very poor ventilation as the stench is overwhelming. It definately ruined our meal and we were in a hurry to leave.The service was OK, but nothing more. Dont expect much.

Unfriendly place to be in, rude unfriendly staff beside being unorganized. Servers acted like they own the place. The worst experience i ever had in any restaurant or cafe worldwide. THE FLOP OF THE RESTAURANTS and a truly criminal customer service from their staff. Trash

Went there to have breakfast the place is nice and cozy, the staff is friendly food portions are reasonable the only thing that they have to work on is the quality of the food served. The lemonade and the strawberry juice are extremely sweet , undrinkable, the latte was tasteless and the jambon served is not fresh, bakery heated and preheated again . I wish they work on the food and it will be excellent.

Do not visit this place. Thats all I have to say.The food is horrible, the service is absolutely terrible. For the money that youre paying, you would rather visit a place that does not lack its key necessities in order for it to run successfully. Nothing about this restaurant is even good except for its view. If you want good service and good food youd rather visit Frederic Cassel or The 716 which are right next to this poor excuse of a restaurant/cafe.

Nice view, bad service, they took our orders than came back saying they dont serve pancakes because they are short on staff. You should know ahead of time wether you serve it or not. Plus very pricey for nothing. I dont want to eat lettuce for breakfast I want pancakes. The staff seem intimidating to customer they try to size you wether you are wealthy or not. Overall I would never go back.

Very poor service. The waiters were so arrogant and nobody wanted to service us in the first place. They thought we were not “wealthy” enough. The place looks good and the location is amazing. But the very poor service and the bad behavior of the waiters make us feel not comfortable at all. Better go to a true Tunisian place where local people are way more friendly...

The atmosphere of the place is not bad. The gate is spacious and has a great view on the lake. However, we had to wait for over 45 minutes to get the order (at night but in the middle of the week), the waiter was rude to us and to other tables as well. Some people had to leave the place. The food did not taste good and some of it was raw!I gave the restaurant a second chance, and went there again (morning on a weekend), waiter gave me a wrong check and demanded to be paid (it was not what we ordered). After settling the matter, a family sitting nearby told us that he did the same thing to other customers before us and tried to make a scene if not getting paid correctly.If there is one thing I know, is that Im never going back to that place. EVER AGAIN!

The locations the only reason it scored as good as it did. It is not a restaurant, but it would be a 4 star shisha lounge.

Waiters not friendly at all and it takes a lot of time (35 min and more to get what you have ordered. I dont recommend.

Clean place, nice choices of snacks, drinks. Maybe a bit too crowded, lack of intimacy. But a good place to hangout with friends.

Was there to watch the World Cup 2018 and I find it a great place to be. The GATE is well located and has a great view on the lake.

Manners and service to customers not good enough compared to 716, Big Dip and the other cafes close by.

Very friendly staff makes you feal welcome.The best shisha and the gay who cares for the shrarcoal is so friendly cameos every five minutes and checks so you are setified.I really recommend everyone to visit the gate.Kind regards Philip
