Cafe Lola - Health food restaurant in Hobart, Australia
Called in for a morning coffee with my mother before work, we were the only 2 customers staying, and there was one person immediately after us who got a takeaway. The coffee itself was good, but given that there were no customers in front of us we were a little surprised that it took 7 minutes from ordering to receiving our drinks, and they arrived 2 minutes apart. Ill call in again, but certainly not if Im in a hurry or the Cafe looks even slightly busy.
I had a delicious burrito bowl and an iced mocha. Both were generous, healthy and delicious. The hospitality was lovely, especially in the COVID-19 situation.
The best Almond latte & Gf banana bread I have ever tasted & Caitlin enjoyed EVERY single crumb of her bacon & eggs on rye 🥓🍳 & hot chocolate. Yummm!
Good range of healthy food options from sweet potato hash to banana bread with coconut yoghurt. Generous servings. Although, the service could use some improvement.I wanted to make a substitution with one of the dishes (swap out two eggs for mushrooms and tomatoes, which cost the same according to their menuand they charged me extra. Also, I ordered the sweet potato hash and it came with regular bread even though the menu stated that it was gluten-free.
Good coffee, good simple food and reasonably priced.
Fantastic healthy food, good loose leaf tea and exceptional service. Ill be going back.
It was nice but the coffee can do with a bit of work. The old magic is a great rest of the coffee and it was 6/10
Great little Café, serves amazing coffee, friendly staff as well as a warm and cosy interior.
I wasnt aware that Vegan cafes served animal products eggs, bacon and other products that use animal parts. Butter.
We came upon this beauty by chance when looking for somewhere to have breakfast. This cafe caters for gluten free and vegan. Hubby chose the keto bowl with scrambled eggs, haloumi, wilted spinach, and pork belly complete with crispy delicious crackling. My choice was sweet potato hash, poached eggs, wilted spinach, smashed avocado and toast. Coffee completed a truly wonderful breakfast.
Great gluten free options with lots of variety. Wasn’t a huge fan personally of their paleo bread but nice to have lots of choice. First time we tried to come to their all day menu when they close at 4 their kitchen was closed by 2:30 which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise not a bad option.
Service is average. Food took ages to come out and when it did everything was overdone and tasted like burnt. The sourdough was cold and dry. The poached eggs were overdone. Coffee was good and came out quick.
Walk in around lunch time, only two customers left in the cafe which left shortly after we seated ourselves as the server did not come served us. Two servers sitting down having a bite in the corner and the only one server on the floor was busy chatting with them. Look at the menu on the table, not sure if breakfast is still serve, so wait for the server to approach us if we would like a coffee to start with or what we would like to order but wait for a minute or two and she was still too busy chatting with her workmate. Walk out and never look back.
Great place the Lola pods have Gluten Free options with allot of choices ..and great coffee as well
Waited 25 minutes for a very tiny, albeit tasty, $13.50 salad. crowded and noisy and the staff were hopeless. would not bother trying again when there are so many good alternatives around.
Had a nice breakfast here. Coffee and service was great too.
Good coffee, nice service, and tasty breaky: eggs on Rye bread.
The food was absolutely delicious.. the chai tea was equally great. Highly recommended if youre visiting hobart.
This place used to be amazing... I dont know what has happened but it has really gone downhill. Food takes forever to come.out, it is less tasty and today the rice was practically inedible - lots of uncooked grains that I nearly broke my teeth on!
Excellent food and service! Real food and great options. A breath of fresh air. Thanks!
Bland food, rude waitress, no hello how are you as they were too busy singing to their tunes. Hipsters with no personalities and most certainly no idea how to prepare tasty clean & healthy food. Don’t waste your money!!!! Boiled not roasted sweet potato, salmon cakes that were inedible and seasonal greens (yeh rightsilverbeat ONLY!
Pretty expensive for a vegan breakfast as you have to build it yourself! About $60 for two vegan meals and drinks. The service was fairly impersonal but luckily the food was delicious :-)
Good coffee but thats about it. The staff didnt seem to care that we were there and paid $5 for sides got 1 small rasher of bacon and 2 small button mushrooms. Not $10 worth of sides! Poached eggs were also watery and gross. Paid $50 for 2 people and hated it.
Great place with many breakfast options and beverages. Bacon breakfast simply irresistible.
Great concept but could improve the menu. Otherwise nice cafe for breaky and brunch. Heading towards the mainland but needs to improve.
Good selection of treats and gluten free options. However ordered one of the pods and was super disappointed. Winter greens were not as you would expect and they had obviously thrown in a salad mix to fill out the bowl. I paid an extra 4.50 for smashed avocado with mint - I received less than a tablespoon, just small hunks (no smash, no mintwith no seasoning. Beetroot falafel was very vinegary which makes no sense. I actually got quite sick afterwards (allergy symptomsso I hope they are careful with food preparation.
Coffee is good and it is a busy little cafe. Senior staff member comes across a little rude!
Worst breakfast Ive had in a while. Im having trouble working out how they went so wrong with eggs, avo and sweet potato but I walked out and left half behind. Coffee is average but in another league to the sweet potato hash.
I waited 30 mins to be told that they run out of hollandaise sauce!! Cant speak about the quality of every other item on the menu but so yourselves a favour and dont order Eggs benedict... coffee was average too... overall experience worth 1 star...
Oh Lola how much we love thee...We loved your Breakfast Paleo Pod (fried eggs, sweet potato hash, arugula, salsa with smoked salmon), Lolas Sweet Potato Hash with Poached Egg (plus seared spinach and smashed avocado and toastand Banana Bread (grilled with whipped mascarpone and berries)We especially loved your fresh juices: orange+coconutH2O, green apple+mint+cucumber+celery+coconutH2O, and strawberry+melon+orange+coconutH2O
Nice food, simple options but good. Staff its ok, not very welcoming. Clearly a place looking for local customer (area workersnot interested in tourists at all. No free wifi for customers.
Mmmm food scrumptious, quick efficient service with a friendly smile thrown in for good measure.
Lovely interior design, delicious healthy bowls, great coffee but no free WiFi!
Absolutely brilliant food. Lunch pods are amazing - all of the sides, all of the protein all of the extras- its been a long time since I have been this impressed.
Great Coffee situated close to the wharf. Beautiful whole foods. Food looks amazing. Very polite service.
Absolutely fresh and tasty. Filling without being heavy. I had winter greens, rice with dukkah, salmon cakes, smashed avo and a green apple-mint-cucumber juice. Great staff who are obviously a good team which made the atmosphere very welcoming.
Great cafe, delicious food, friendly staff and super accommodating even though they were very busy!!
Had an amazing coffee and banana bread ! Fabulous vibe and staff soooo friendly!!Also loved the Artwork !!
I have been here several times for breakfast. Very nice food. Staff are friendly and efficient. One minor distraction; the place is a little cramped, seating could be organised better. But foodwise, plenty of choice and the is great. Recommend.
Fantastic food, great coffee, super friendly service
One of the few keto-friendly takeaways in Hobart. Fast, friendly and good quality.
Nice coffee, but found the food menu on the higher end of the price scale. The chia pod was delicious and the staff were friendly.
Fresh, locally sourced and reasonably priced. Gluten free, vegan, paleo and raw options. Also has a range of meat options, a great all round cafe for everyones taste.
Great arrangement of foods and gluten free options. Friendly staff. Well priced
Great food. Very tasty and the coffee was fantastic.
This is the best Coffee / food place we have been in for a very long time. If not the best. Its a credit to the owner & staff.
Good healthy food. Place gets busy at lunch time so get in early. I recommend the smoothies 👌
Most excellent coffee - really enjoyed the brioche with mushrooms and scrambled egg, awesome flavours for good value!
The most delicious breakfast toasties, great coffee. Warm and cosy with a wonderful lookout to the street.
Great service, delicious food. Not to mention the variety of gluten-free options.
