Cafe Jacko in Palmerston North

Very friendly staff, were seen to be meticulously cleaning the cabinet while there, and the Eggs Benedict was amazing!

If you want to start your day on the right note, then this is the cafe to have your breakie! Food and service there from the hyper energetic staff (how is that possible, it’s so early in the morning!are fantastic, thanks as always 🙂

Best mince on toast I have had. Very savoury and a large portion. Eggs were perfect. We had a large group and 12 meals came out at the same time. Well run kitchen I bet. Thanks team, this was an awesome start to the day.

Expert Barista makes the best coffee in Palmerston North. Good to see a Barista that doesn’t over extract. All the staff are welcoming and very friendly especially Hana.

The super friendly staff here made me feel like a long lost local the minute I walked in the door. When I ordered the French Toast Burger I was advised I would not regret my decision. When it arrived I was daunted by the size, noting I might need a doggy bag! My server sagely retorted "well see.." Sure enough I could not stop eating it! So delicious...😋

I paid $20 for mince on toast that tasted like bulky cardboard. I could make my own for $10 that would taste 1000x better. Jackos mince was Bland, overcooked and probably been in the fridge for over 2 weeks. $6 for an iced choclate that was just a scoop of ice cream and milk with next to no flavour. I understand its busy but atleast put some love into the food. Customer service was excellent tho. Be hard to get me to come back.

Jackos came highly recommended and certainly did not disappoint. Staff were personable and ultra welcoming. Food was delicious and they were very happy to change menu to suit. Very accomodating. Second time here and wont be my last!

Best breakfast in New Zealand (the kaibig brekkie everything cooked with love and great size and flavour like no other, Jacko makes you feel welcome and like whanau he’s great to watch with customers he’s really in his element and no one goes un missed he always goes over and above to get the walk in customers seated we visit here from Napier every time we go to palmy nothing compares to it we have been going here since 2014. Coffees are on point too 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

An absolute pleasure, the staff are friendly and and so helpful, speaking in Reo and English, the Kai/food you can order in half potions as well, great menu and cant wait to return!!..Nga mihi ❤️

Love love love❤. As soon as we walked in the door "Mōrena" well that got us good straight a way😊. Amazing service here and we could order i roto i te reo Māori🤗. The place was packed too so that was also a good sign, he tohu pai👍. Will defs be back Jacko.

Staff were super friendly but was a cold day outside and the Cafe wasnt warm 😪 i had to eat and run as it was too cold for my 4 month old. Coffee was yummy but the eggs beni was average

Super busy place on a Sunday morning. Short wait for a table, no drama. Good service and the food was very nice.One thing that stood out from other places was the full or half options when picking something from the menu. Great idea.

Whilst in Palmy on business we accidentally came across this gem. "Jacko" was a treat, so friendly and the food was top notch. Advised that we would be back the next morning, and true to out words we did. He remembered us and our coffee order, special touches that go a long way in this day and age. If you are in Palmy go to Jackos for breakfast, you will not be disappointed.

Marvelous experience here. Exceptional friendly service with a smile, awesome quality food, great atmosphere with some groovy music. My wife and I stumbled upon Cafe Jacko by a happy coincidence, I googled nearby cafés but the one we were directed to had no parking so we continued down the road until we found a park which happened to be right outside Cafe Jacko 😀My chocolate milkshake was very lovely its hard to find a good milkshake these days. Will definitely be back 👍

Always go for a great plate of lambs fry and bacon or an open top steak sandwich. Great lively vibe in there and reasonable prices for the portion sizes. One of the cafes in the street that open the earliest in town so great for an early morning pick me up!

Great service with very friendly staff, two of us both had milkshakes which were amazing, the banana and vanilla. Vanilla was very authentic vanilla bean tasting, and the marmite and cheese scone was fantastic also. Highly recommend.

Went to Cafe Jacko for Fathers Day, just as well I booked a table they were packed and I know why. The food, coffee, the service, the atmosphere, friendly staff were FAULTLESS!! 5 stars the whole way. There were 6 of us we ordered 5 different meals, coffees and milkshakes and they were all devine! Palmy is full of amazing eating places, but this will be our new Go To now, if we can get in. Ill be back during a work day sometime soon because the cabinet food looked so yummy, scones, cakes muffins etc. Hmmmm

Busy place but our group felt private in the side room. Friendly staff including one waiter who willingly took our photo. Delicious brioche with a pot of tea. Plenty of choice of sweet or savoury food - even breakfast if anyone wanted it. Water and sugar on the table

Good service and good food.The ingredients in the muesli had a nice variety, but the amount of yoghurt is quite small, making the muesli dry to eat.Eggs benedicy with salmon was a delight to eat, the spinach made it a bit oily but otherwise a really yummy feed

Superb salads! Great options for vegetarians/vegans. Coffee delicious too. Generous servings for three price. Super friendly staff.
