Cafe HOC - Cafe in Batdambang, Cambodia
Cafe HOC in Batdambang
Description
amazing breakfast for only 3$! and you get a alot for the price (picture doesnt show two eggs and a saladwould 100% reccomend going here, as it also goes to a good cause😊
MoreCafe HOC is a wonderful brunch stop for any traveler and it is wonderful because you are supporting a great cause. (HOC stands for Hope of Children, a local charity). I am currently staying in a hostel that also offers breakfast/brunch for a similar cost, but I found that HOC is much more generous with their serving size. I ordered the breakfast buffet and brought my laptop for a morning of planning on a rainy day and have not regretted my decision to come! You should make this a breakfast must!
MoreLovely Cambodian staff, big and tasty breakfast, very good value (10000)Highly recommended
MoreVery good breakfast and really friendly staff!
Lovely Café, with good breakfast :)
A really delicious breakfast with Mtzvin coffee. The service is amazing everyone was so nice
MoreThe food was great! I took the buffet breakfast and it was very tasty! The woman there was very pleasant and nice! Very recommended!
MoreOutstanding and abundant breakfast for $3, best we had during our time in Cambodia. Friendly staff as well.
MoreAmazing place, their breakfast is abundant and delicious, the staff is kind and friendly and the manager can speak good english.
MoreLove their cause. The food is delicious and at an affordable cost you cant go wrong.
MoreAmazing breakfasts sets. Top spot.
The best breakfast I had in Battambang and Cambodia! Super-tasty, fresh food, a lot of food in the breakfast menu, great coffee and super-kind people in the service. And they support local initiatives for kids. Btw, in the pic is missing also an omelet it came afterwards! Love it!!!! A must in Battambang!
MoreThe menus choices were a simple selection of set meals. Mine included muesli and yoghurt, fresh warm bagels, fresh fruit salad, and eggs with salad. A big meal perfect for me. And very affordable, on $2.50 US. I thought it was too cheap and added a donation because this business supports a great cause, helping disadvantaged children in Cambodia. I loved this place.
MoreOne of my favorite places to eat in Battambang. Its cheap, have friendly staff and great, healthy food. My only problem is that the opening hours are a bit inconvenient. Love the breakfast set!
MoreWhat an amazing cafe/restaurant! We came here as we heard about some NGO cafes in Battambang where having a drink or snack does something good at the same time.At the Hope of Children cafe we were blown away by the diverse menu (everything available in Englishand even more by the quality of the food. The dishes are a combination of local and japanese cuisine and the breakfast is as fresh as it can be with homemade bread, yoghurt, marmalade and a big bowl of fresh fruit as well as egg of your choice (plus local meat/fish additions if you like). The service and food alone deserve 5/5 stars but here you even support children in need who can develop their skills at the restaurant. Your money supports the main facilities of the organization, too. For all of this, the price is more than reasonable. If we ever come back to Battambang this will be our first stop!
MoreGreat place! Lots of choices on the menu and big platters with food for $3! I definitely recommend going here.
MoreOur favorite brunch place! But, sometimes they run out of the freshly baked bread. Their coffee drinks are average and I am not fond of their fruit shakes/smoothies.
MoreVery nice Restaurant. We went there for Breakfast, which was really good. It was more than enough food and tasted really good. The staff is very friendly and they are doing all this to support homeless children, really good idea. Thank you for the good Breakfast!
MoreCafe HOC is among my favourite restaurants in Battambang. This is a Japanese-inspired restaurant which runs social projects to help children in need. The money we pay not only feeds us, but it goes to the charity.Food is great, staffs are super friendly and a good value for money :)
MoreAlthough they didnt have their full menu available, the place did good quality food at a good price. Plus you support a good cause by coming here!
MoreThe best breakfast I have had so far in Battambang and it only costs $2.47. The cafe uses organic and pesticide-free food and contributes towards a charitable cause. The staff here are friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place.
MoreJapan style and flavor. Recommend!!Besides, this restaurant also provide much help with fund, nurture and technical to the Cambodian orphan, especially to educate with skill.
MoreThe staff is very kind and the food is amazing! Try $3 breakfast buffet.
Cafe Hoc is hidden away just a few blocks from Psar Nat and the river. The Staff we’re friendly and very welcoming - great service. The food was a mix of Japanese and some western options - Karaage Curry was amazing, and only $3 lunch special! $2 extra for the delicious Miso Soup.Super impressed with this little gem - we will definitely be back!
MoreWe tried the breakfast here. You get a generous amount of tasty food for only 3USD :As we went during the Covid-19 crisis, the breakfast menu was not a buffet, but rather a set comprising: eggs (vegetable omelette, fried or scrambled+ green salad, khmer rice porridge, muesli, yogurt, fresh fruits, homemade bread and jam. It was perfect!I would definitely recommend. The staff is super nice. By going there, you support the Hope Of Children organisation.
MoreGreat quality of food and great prices. $3 gets a lot here and the shakes are from fresh fruit. I got a set meal for $3. And this is. A good example of a social Enterprise. Its been open for 5 years now and its still really clean. Come support this great place. Its also near chatime.
MoreI love this place. Their breakfast buffet is a great value at $3 and comes with your choice of a an la carte egg dish. Everything is delicious, staff are delightful, and it supports a great cause. The coffee is pretty good too!
MoreFirst good scrambled eggs in Asia! Small breakfast buffet with bagels, jam, yogurt and fruit. After previous experience with dry omelettes, I tried the scrambled eggs with vegetables and they were actually moist and not oily! Modest selection on the buffet, but everything was pretty good. This reviewer is full and satisfied.
MoreHOC = Hope of Children, its an local organic pesticide free Café with amazingly tasty breakfast which costs only $3 per person. The Café supports cambodian children in poverty, domestic violence and childhood HIV. The place is quite, peaceful, plays relaxing music and employes many locals.Btw, coffee is awesome! Please come and have breakfast at this inspiring place, enjoy!
MoreMUST TRY! Must go when you’re in Battambang. Only $3 per person for all you can eat food, made to order egg (any kind). There are homemade yogurt, muesli, homemade bread (super fresh, they only take a small quantity out each time, so when they refill a new batch, it’s always warm and soft), homemade jam, porridge with some sides to go with, fresh fruits. Also there is salad comes with the egg and we ordered another bowl of extra salad.Highly highly recommended! Please go
MoreI was here for the buffet. There are not a lot of choices (I didnt try their egg/meat/fish dishes), but they have bread, jam, homemade yoghurt, rice porridge and fruit and you can eat as much as you want, so def worth the price 😅 I was craving porridge for days, so it was amazing to finally find it!
MoreThe best breakfast place in Cambodia! They had homemade buns and jam, yogurt and meusli, porridge, some hard-boiled eggs and smoked fish (?), sauteed onions, and fresh fruit, on top of which you get to choose your egg option! They have scrambled, hard boiled, omelettes, and more! A very sweet location, and it wasnt even busy! A warm welcome, and great customer service. ❤️ Wish I had found it earlier so we could have had a few meals here. 10/10 would recommend.
MoreI really liked this place. Japanese food. Good food but slow service. Its worth it tho.
MoreCame in for the breakfast buffet. They open at 8:00 I arrived at 8:30. Only empty plates at the buffet. They asked me how I wanted my eggs. I said scrambled. They brought out sunny side up. The whole time I was waiting for the eggs, nothing was put on the buffet table. A complete waste of time and money.
MoreAmazing. Not only do you support a good cause, but the breakfast (8-11:30is so good, fresh ripe organic fruit for a wonderful muesli with joghurt, oven-warm homemade buns with homemade jam, the best vegetable omelette Ive had in Asia so far and all that for only 3 dollars, unbelievable. We will be coming every morning now. Thank you to the wonderful staff for this treat!
MoreThe principle focus is the support of children who have been affected by family violence and AIDs.Providing shelter and education to the orphans. Our “highlight” attraction is to contribute&support these organizations if we have an oppurtunity. Beside of this the meals are really delicious🤤.Highly recommend the foods at the photo below. I forgot names but show them the pictures. We ate our lunch and dinner every day here
MoreBest place in Battambang for lunch. This is the best value lunch in Battambang. Great foid and everything is $3The menu has a very good selection. They have a $3 breakfast buffet that is excellentA very clean and friendly place. Highly recomednded.
MoreSuper coffee, low prices and mega food. In addition, a charitable cause and friendly staff, was there three times for a coffee and once for dinner. I liked it very much.
MoreLovely buffet breakfast for only 3$, for a good cause! (drink are excluded, but coffee is only 1$!)You get a choice of eggs (fried, scrambled, omelette etc.), plus a nice selection of jams, fruits, yogurt, muesli, bread, and much more!In my opinion, best breakfast option in town 😊
MoreIt was amazing! The food was so nice, i had the tonkatsu set and my boyfriend had a karaage curry! Both the pork and the chicken were wonderfully cooked and really crispy on the outside. The accompaniments were also really nice, rice, salad, sauce and miso soup.
MoreGood vegan options available, decent prices, servers are niceI enjoyed my meal very much here. I ordered an udon hot pot ($4), which reminds me of my mothers udon soup. The onion rings were hot, tasty, and crispy. I am pleased overall with this restaurant.Pros: Nice staff, Hot, delicious foodCons: The tortilla veggie sushi is overly expensive for three pieces (the only conOtherwise, I really like this place :)
MoreAmazing buffet breakfast with local and continental choices, and amazing coffee. I love the fact that they think about mums and kids here. Baby changing facilities, a step so kids can reach the bathroom sink, and fish pond with marble stepping stones...And all for a good cause! We will be back!
MoreWhat a SURPRISE !! We went here 2 times for the buffet breakfast !So hugeeeee. So delicouuuuus. 😍😍 for only 3$ per person !!!Fruits omelette vegetables muesli bread homemade. Staff are really niceOmg I want to come back
MoreWas a bit disappointed after reading great reviews. My main course arrived as I was still eating my starter. It was then a bit cold and quite greasy. Skewers of meat had lunch chunks of meat not really bite size..
MoreGreat buffet breakfast for $3. Choice of eggs, some kinds of meat (veggie so didnt tryfruit, Muesli, yoghurt, rice porridge, two types of bread and homemade jams. Eggs come with a little salad. Extra dollar or two for tea/coffee, free water. Stay as long as you like, would definitely go back here.
MoreOne of the best places to eat in town! Looks great and the service is one of the best Ive had in Asia so far. For dinner, you can choose two starters and one main course for 6 dollars and breakfast is 3 dollars for a buffet. You can choose eggs any style and you can refill your plate with everything else they offer. This includes refill of yoghurt, fruit, freshly baked bread, porridge and some other things. Would highly recommend going here!
MoreGood cause dining here and we enjoyed our breakfast. We got in a little bit late after catching up on some sleep, so the selection was depleted a little by the time we got there. They make a lot of their own food (yoghurt, bread, bagels etcso its worth popping in for a look. Good value breakfast at $3 for a buffet including your choice of eggs.
MoreI went here for the breakfast buffet and I was immediately convinced. Fresh fruit, breadrolls, yoghurt, jam, eggs, fish, Müsli... Everything is fresh and homemade and delicious. One of the best and cheapest breakfast in Cambodia so far.The staff is super friendly.I cannot say anything about lunch and dinner but I would definitively try...
MoreThe breakfast buffet has good variety. Eggs come with it made any way you like. I enjoyed the karaage curry. The curry sauce was sweet and flavorful. It was also served with a peanut sauce that was delicious. The coffee is a great find at a cheaper price than weve found so far. They work for a cause which is always a bonus! Highly recommend!
MoreBreakfast buffet just for 3$. Good service, nice place and good food. Totally recommended!
