We were gifted a vegan tea experience and everything here is vegan. Not being vegan ourselves we thought to see and taste the experienceIts a lovely Japanese inspired hotel with a small dining areaSome of the teas were interesting meanwhile others were very pleasant! The sandwiches for the afternoon tea were delicious and given they were all vegan you wouldnt even know! The cakes were slightly hard but the tastes and toppings were lovelyAll in all a lovely experience
Afternoon Tea Plant Based. Exelent!
A beautiful little boutique cafe serving plant based food.Im by bi stretch of the imagination a vegetarian, let alone a vegan, and I enjoyed the food here immensely.I had the plant based full English breakfast which was amazing - particularly the sausage which was packed with flavour. The pancakes were also an absolutely delight.Service was polite and great, and the decor simple yet classy.Prices were reasonable for this sort of area and cafe - expect to spend around £10-15 per person for a breakfast dishWhole hearted recommendation for breakfast, and I can only imagine this stretches to all other meals!
Massively overpriced afternoon tea.
Amazing place & delicious afternoon tea
Showed up and was told that they aren’t taking any walk ins what so ever. Restaurant was about 10% filled. I would understand if they had a long wait but apparently they randomly have a reservations only policy. I also attempted to call before hand (since it was Christmas Evebut the person on the phone didn’t speak English (called the number listed here on Google Maps.)I also then checked their website which indicated that they were open as regular on the 24th, no indication that they were reservations only. Not only that but they had a few signs on the street and corner indicating that they are open. Not sure what was going on, maybe they just didn’t want to serve us?Confusing and terrible experience.
Came here for lunch with my other half. The food was great. Im not a vegetarian myself, but the burger alternative was the best Ive had. Unfortunately the service was horrific. Firstly stood at the entrance for about 5 minutes before anyone greeted us. Everything was very slow following that too. Shane really!
Good quality of food plus decent service! Very cozy and lovely environment in the busy world. Highly recommend for vegans to try their variety of food.
Enjoyed this. Real nice depth of flavour to the dishes, great staff and all vegan.
Great vegan afternoon tea. Service was fab. Left with a full satisfied tummy!!
Ive been here twice in the last 2 days. Once for afternoon tea and the second time for breakfast. Both times it was delicious. The service was great. But this food, wow! Whoever is the chef, they know what theyre doing because this food sings. The vegan croissants are perfect. The breakfast is 7 ways of delicious and the afternoon tea was amazing. This vegan cafe has got it going on. You will not be disappointed or leave hungry.
Coming from the USA I was looking forward for a vegan tea shop and restaurant. This fully vegan place is amazing, right off the subway. Very educated people work here and the food options are varied.
Excelent vegan restaurant... too pity it closes at 17... a lot of vegan options... not pricey... nice and kind waiteresses... :)
Great food. Lots of fun and a very cool place.
The chickpea omelette was to die for! Portions were generous and staff was friendly!
Ive been vegan for over four years now and I feel its safe to say this was the best thing Ive ever eaten. Wonderful service as well, cant wait to go back 💚
Food was really great! The burger was served in a massive portion with loads of salads and roasted potatoes which was very tasty. The risotto I got had a very interesting flavour, definitely not the usual taste youd find elsewhere. Their ice vanilla latte was also very impressive! Slightly pricey but worth the price.
Although I’m not a vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were a particular highlight. However the scones fell down for me. Service is great really friendly and prompt!
I never ate vegan before and had the vurger. It was really really good and I enjoyed the meal very much!
Best cruelty free dishes, nice staff
I did not stay at Cafe Forty One, but had a wonderful afternoon dining outside. My sister, a friend and I opted for the vegan afternoon tea with a non alcoholic fizzy beverage. Our friend is vegetarian, but my sister and I are carnivores, however, we are open to new or different experiences and have a few vegan friends so have eaten some vegan food before. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel welcome and were given the choice about where we wanted to dine, inside the restaurant or outside. Once seated we were provided with menus, to select our teas or coffees and from that moment onwards the staff were polite, friendly, attentive and approachable. The afternoon tea was presented beautifully and delicately with bright colours, almost too pretty to eat. We agreed unanimously that everything we had eaten was delicious. The sandwiches were dainty, moist and flavorful (my favourites were the cashew nut butter and pickle and the watercress and tofu?). The pastries were light and incredibly tasty, especially the coconut flavoured one. The coconut spread was divine and went perfectly with the scones. I have eaten some vegan food before, but never afternoon tea. I thought the concept was very creative and executed beautifully. One of our hosts, unfortunately I do not recall her name, highly recommend the burger next time we visit. I am eagerly anticipating our next meal at Cafe Forty One.
Such cute little hidden spot! Went there for breakfast, has the full English breakfast and my partner the avocado on toast....delicous!The employees were attentive and lovely! Thank you! Will definitely be back
This was a great experience! The quality of the food was good although Ive had better vegan meals for what we ordered. However it was made up for by the cute outdoor seating area lined with trees and beautiful architecture. Great environment and ambiance! 8/10 vegan food! :)
Delicious. Would happily eat there all day every day.
Poor service. Showed up at 4:35. No hello just a we close soon. Asked if we could take something away were declined in the rudest way.
We ordered lunch a la carte and were very impressed. I think some dishes could do with a little refinement but very imaginative and all plant-based.
The worst service ever. Smoking from the table behind us. We came here for drinks only but it took more than 20 minutes for them to get it. The lady who took our orders disappeared and we had to remind another server that we havent gotten our drinks yet. He came with ONE order only - the matcha latte (which was tasteless). We had also ordered it and a smoothie but thought maybe the smoothie would take longer. My friend was looking for someone and asked if anyone could help. No one answered. We told one of the servers about this and he did not even care. So we asked for the check. He didnt even say sorry. To top that they put a service charge on the bill! So unwelcoming. Its a shame because we were really excited to try this place out and it took us 40 minutes to reach it by bus from our hotel. Never again.
I had a gnocchi and it was good, but not enough to go back . The place is beautiful with a nice outdoors area . It looks like the vegan tea set would be a better option.
The English Breakfast was very bland. The restaurant smelled a little smoky.
Great place. Quality of food is very high and the service is just outstanding. Friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much for making our first vegan breakfast so memorable.Just a little suggestion for improvement: It is surprising that a place so up market and with so much care for the quality of ingredients uses medium range quality brands for some drinks (Alpro for soya milk, Twinnings for tea).
Great vegan restaurant inside LaSuite Hotel.
Amazing vegan spot!! Delicious food!
A very cosy restaurant that takes "vegan" to a new level. Located in La Suite West hotel, its a great option for elegant, healthy and ethical food choices. Highly recommend.
Worst valentines dinner I have ever had! You book a valentines dinner for it to be something special! Service is awful, food was awful. Out of a 5 course dinner (sitting time was 7pmit took 3 hours to get to the 3rd course (mainsand after informing the waitress when placing the order for choices that I had an allergy to Truffle oil, my main dish came drenched in it! By 10pm the live band had packed up and left just as we were given mains that we could not eat. Ended up walking out as it was a work day the next morning (FridayI did not want to be leaving the restaurant by midnight at that rate. Both me and my partner were ill that night after eating at this restaurant. AVOID!
After a bit of research, we discovered that there was an actual Fully vegan french Pâtisserie in London. We decided that we would go and try their afternoon tea, as we had been thinking about doing this since we arrived here.To start off with, from the moment we made our reservation online, we were treated so incredibly well by Nyara, the reservations agent. She was kind, courteous and super professional, to say the least! As for the cafe itself, it has an absolutely lovely atmosphere and you can just feel the positive vibrations when you are there. What is more, every single staff member there was so friendly, helpful and personable. They really treated us like we were more than just customers, but it was if we were family, which was really touching! One could just feel their positive energy when they were coming to check how we were enjoying ourselves :-And, last but certainly not least, the food itself was simply divine! There were so many times when we would look at one another and say, "How do they do it?!?!" It was absolutely fantastic and we are already looking forward to our next visit! All in all, Cafe Forty One is an absolute gem and we would definitely recommend it, without a shadow of a doubt😊👍Keep up the great work, and here is wishing you all a wonderfully equanimous day, filled with peace, love, health, happiness and truly so very much more😊With so much Metta, it could literally tilt the earth off its axis and then push it back to its original state,Noah
Experienced my first ever afternoon tea here today that was vegan too, food was lovely, waitress very bubbly and friendly and very warm atmosphere 👌🏼🤗
If you are vegan, just book this. You will not be disappointed
We went for breakfast this morning ( 1st Jan 19and we got brilliant service by our waitress, Katie. She came from the minute we walked in to when we walked out and was really satisfied. She made sure everything was in working order and made sure we got what we wanted. Recommend going!!!
Service disaster. The idea of all vegan afternoon tea is original. But the execution was a disaster. First we were left waiting at the entry for what felt like forever (it was 5minjust to be seated. We were seated down for more 10 min before we got the menus. After our order we waited for good 15 min before we got our sandwiches. I had to ask about our tea and fizz that were part of the afternoon tea. When we were given explenation about what we were served, we were told what they are called not what is actually in them. Not only that, food was not appetizing at all. Sandwiches were stale, cakes and scones were stodgy and dry. The only good thing was tea and coconut "clothed" cream.I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
Stopped here for lunch on the way to the airport. It was amazingly delicious. Will go out of my way to return next time Im in London.
I was taken for my birthday for afternoon tea &it was an amazing atmosphere and lovely setting, food was delicious, but most of all the service was outstanding! Our waitress, Hannah, was caring and made our visit much more enjoyable.
Amazing food, kind service, charming outdoor area. Really creative and tasty combination of flavours. Some of the people in our group weren’t vegan but they loved it regardless. Some of the portions are quite small though. The smoothies and the toffee dessert is fantastic!
Finally Vegan Afternoon Tea! Being vegan and having lived in the UK for over 10 years, I was so happy to hear that this place opened up earlier this year. Visited to celebrate my wifes bday and was not disappointed! Great sandwiches and desserts (even got refills). Definitely recommend!
Nice food and lovely ambient. Smoothies are not so great though and some of them contain honey which is contradictory to their 100% vegan claim! Deserts look amazing but I was too full to try them this time. Definitely coming back!
Simply stunning. The best cream tea we’ve ever had, delicious tea and coffee, brilliant cakes and scrumptious sandwiches. We will be back!
Vegan afternoon tea - Would not recommendAfter seeing this place in Time Out i was really looking forward to visiting, however, on arriving i was very disappointed. The place for a weekend visit lacked any form of atmosphere and was extremely quiet, bland in decor and empty of bookings. I was really surprised at this especially having been made to wait for weeks for a free weekend slot. During our entire visit the place had just two other tables that were occupied. Bearing in mind the emptiness it was poor customer service to tell us to sit anywhere we wanted and then promptly make us move, explaining we had to sit at a two seater as the place was so popular! The food itself was very disappointing, the plain scones were vile in taste that seemed to be a case of a baking soda overdose. All the other food items were bland in taste with the savoury sandwiches being more bread than anything else, for the price point i expected something beyond this.
Great vegan food and brilliant service
What an amazing place! world class patisserie with a lovely outdoor sitting. Unbelievable that its all vegan
Fantastic food, fantastic staff, wonderful vibe to the cafe. Just thoroughly awesome.
A vegan French patisserie! Silly not to give it a try. The millefeuille was complex and beautiful to look and taste although we did feel it was a bit on the rich side. The salted caramel mousse was deconstructed and again right on the money. The lunch portion was just about right. The bruschetta was well worth the money. The customer service was perfect.
