Café Do Re Mi - Coffee shop in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
Overall good , love their hot cham😁
Many choices, good place for hang out
I enjoyed the prawn Mee, and friends loves the wan tan Mee, fish ball noodles and hor fun.
Average dine in environment but the hawker stalls offering good food
Duck rice is awesome.
The Char kuay teow and pork noodles are especially nice here. 😋
I enjoy the curry Mee here (they serve both steamed chicken as well as siew yok/roasted pork), the porridge and noodles from the porridge stall as well as the Indian food.
For a quick lunch, this place has almost everything. Price is reasonable. Parking is difficult during lunch hour.
Tried one of the stall. Ipoh Curry Mee is Awesome to the max!
A typical kopitiam with wide varieties of food stall. My favourite is the Indian stall, serve fresh made roti canai, vadeh and for lunch, very very good Indian curry mix rice. Reasonable price.
Variety of hawkers food, ipoh curry mee most popular
Want to have different types of breakfast with reasonable price?.. Where i can say is cheap, you can find it here
Price reasonable. To locate a parking is a challenge.
Was said Penang prawn Mee is good here. Beg to disagree. Was bad. And the manning the store is a foreigner. Its more like yangon prawn nee
Ample of seats here albeit quite hot. Lots of food options. Personal favorite is the curry mee and penang prawn mee
A pretty good hawker centre offering a variety of dishes at very low prices. Some of the dishes are excellent while others are jus so so. It gets super crowded during weekday lunch hours. It gets very hot too due to the seating set up. Parking is very difficult here unless you dont mind parking at the roadside. Lately, the hygiene of the place is concerning as it gets pretty smelly and you can see puddles of dirty water forming at the back of the stalls.
Is a GREAT food court, but some times you cant even find a table to sit. At least the food was delicious!!
A variety of food stalls. Ample space to seat. Parking an issue during peak hours.
Reasonable food price with many food & beverages varieties
Theres alot of choice alot of food with decent taste. Just that they always close on Sunday, which is always a letdown
Well its definitely the best place to have lunch during working days, while not being the most comfortable it has the most variety.
Cheap food for dinner, you wont go wrong here. Id say that Cafe Do Re Mi is part of 3 eateries. And in total theres like 2 dozen types of cuisine to choose from.
Great choice of food, fast service but pack during lunch hours.
Chicken clay pot rice is good. U can find cold padan coconut water here.
Lots of variety at an affordable price
Good variety of food from Roti Canai to Nasi Lemak to Wantan Noodles.
Lots of varieties. Reasonably priced food, nice and comfortable environment in the morning.
Pork noodles, porridge, curry laksa, nasi kukus with ayam goreng berempah and the Indian nasi kandar are worthwhile to try if you are here. The rest is so-so
Ordinary local chinese coffee shop. A must try here is the curry noodle only in the morning. Bitter gourd rice vermicelli also not bad but only if the boss is there to cook.
Nice place to choose many good food like pork Noddles, wan tan mee , curry noodles and many more just order small and u can choose the taste food like Chau keuy tui noodles 🤗🤗
Update 28 Nov 2018 - The Sam Kan Cheong/Hakka Mee stall has closed/relocated. I would bump the score for this place down to about 4.25 stars now as it loses a very good stall.A popular spot for lunch, this coffee shop has a good variety of the usual suspects. For most stalls, prices range from RM 6-9 depending on size, but most serve generous portions in comparison with the typical serving sizes of Petaling Jaya stalls. The Kopi Ping Kau has a deep earthy flavour with a smooth moderate acidity and barely any dairy richness - suitable to those who want something in between regular milk coffee and kopi O. Order the larger takeaway portion at RM 2.50 for more value; they will even give you a plastic bowl to park your drink on the table. The Kosong variant amplifies the bitterness a notch without the sugary guilt. Edit: Recently they started using disposable plastic cups with lids instead of the larger plastic bag which reduces the value somewhat. The stellar dish here is definitely the Ipoh Curry Chicken Pork Noodles stall. The Siew Yuk Curry Mee + Mee Hoon is flavourful and sinfully rich with barely any flaws. My only complaint is that the noodles tend to absorb much of the broth before you even finish half of it; do ask for a bowl of additional curry broth if you are a curry fan like me.The Sam Kan Cheong dry pork noodles are also stellar (I always order with Hor Fun noodles), possibly a worthy contendor to even the excellent one in Kampung Chempaka. The noodles are moist and light, and tossed with black sauce, pairing well with a mountain of minced pork, chinese blood sausage slices and a peppery clear soup. The same stall also serves Hakka Mee. I always find most places serve small portions for this dish but this stall doesnt disappoint and is worth every cent. The noodles are bouncy with a nice bite; its not as springy as other places, but I prefer it this way.The Wantan Mee I ordered came with the flat noodle with a nice chew. The Char Siu is acceptably good in texture and size, and they give you 4 Wantans albeit being slightly smaller than usual. Overall, an acceptable dish. The Dry Pan Mee features chewy and bouncy noodles with a slight doughy centre signalling a slightly undercook method; request for longer cook times if you prefer softer noodles. The sauce is much more umami than the Wantan Mee and liberally coats the minced pork and friend anchovies - not for those who are watching their sodium levels. The soup is garnished with fish cakes, a small meatball and the usual green leaves. The Char Kuay Teow is a little of a letdown, mostly from the choice of noodles used. The flat noodles are thicker than most places, making the dish feel more doughy than necessary. The spicy version has a nice heat but it overwhelms the savouriness of the dish. The Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah serves a gigantic platter with your choice of the spiced fried chicken with steam rice, lettuce, cucumber, 2 types of sambal, curry gravy, and a sunny-side up egg. You can also request for some habuk (leftover spiced fried batteron top for crunch.
Normal food stall in ara damansara, lot of stall but not every food stall have great quality.
Got a variety of food. The Indian Food and Chinese stall that sells all types of noodle is my favourite
Nice, clean place. A variety of food, noodles, chicken rice, mixed rice...etc.Reasonable prices.
This place has a very good and affordable food especially nasi kukus. Be warned though as it can be extremely spicy. Downside is that can be really hot due to bad ventilation and airflow
Food here is very good & the choice is very wide. The Tai chow stall alone serves nearly nearly a hundred dishes, most of white really nice. Special mention goes to the curry mee stall. Its a real value for money. Not only does it taste good, the portions are large. The Hakka mee is also good. Only setback is the parking, which is really difficult to find during lunch time. It is also very hot & humid in the afternoon. Not that many stalls are open at night but it is cooler
probably one of my favourite coffee shops ever. if you ever patron this place, do try the Wan Tan Mee or the Penang Kuey Teow Soup.
Varieties available. Would have given 5 stars if it wasnt for the Indian food stall which charges people as though they are a 5 star restaurant. Other stalls are reasonable.
Variety of food from Malay, indian, Chinese, western. For those who like soupy kind or rice, veges, meat, all sorts. Plenty of drinks to choose from and lots of tables and chairs.
Wide range of hawker food to be found here. My fave is the Indian Banana leaf rice.
Variety of choices. Curry noodle taste ordinary. Price are very reasonable
Famous place for chinese food. Curry noodles and Yee mee is good here
We all love our Char Kuey Teow. Strong ‘wok hei’, cockles, bean sprouts and perhaps throw in a few prawns and, out come one of the most delicious plate of Char Kuey Teow. There are a good list of ‘must visit’ stalls in PJ and KL but I must say, the Char Kuey Teow stall in Do Re Mi Restaurant in Ara Damansara serves some pretty awesome cooking. My only regret is that they don’t add Chinese Sausage (lap chionginto their dish. Otherwise it’ll be one of the best in PJ.
Have been here about 10 times over the past 1 year for dinner. Typical coffee shop with more than 10 stalls selling a variety of noodles, rice, western food. Two stalls stand out - Chinese and Thai"Siao char" - the former frying on the spot ala carte rice such as butter chicken, fish slice, pork , etc, and also double boiled soup such as old cucumber, lotus root, watercress, ...while the later serves thai dishes such as pineapple fried rice, tom yam soup, dancing fish, green curry, etc. So, you have a lot of choices!
Kuey teow soup with duck meat and fish balls is good. Cham (coffee+teais also good. Sufficiently "kow".
A place with many varieties tasty asian food!
A Place For People To Have Breakfast. The Sam Kan Chong Is Tasty. I recommend 5 stars for it. But there are limited parking spaces/lots because there are too many tire shops. So they reserve a lot of parking lots/spaces. The People Who Are Working There Are Very Friendly. A Good Place For Families To Have A Breakfast Or Lunch.
A good place for breakfast and lunch, the steam bun is quite good. But parking spaces are limited, and there are many uncivilised driver who like to double park, blocking the traffic flow.
Hot place... But still come here for the irresistible curry mee with siu yok.
Local food shop which offer great variety of foods. Locals like me like this kind of foods store, due to the low price and great tastes.
