Terrible ordered my food threw Uber eats have been waiting nearly 2 hours for a restaurant thats 10 min away doesnt look like the food I ordered and payed for is arriving dreadful service

Jerk chicken was so tasty so much flavour

Got the goat curry and the jerk chicken for takeaway, was quick, affordable and some of the nicest food Ive had in a long time. Chill vibes and friendly staff too. Couldnt be happier!

Tasty food but took 4 hours to arrive by delivery, so it was just lukewarm. I would collect next time

Cafe Conscious, they obviously arent conscious of time. My order arrived an hour and 30 mins late and the dumplings were terrible, tasting of flour and really small

Barista is excellent! Super friendly and coffee is one of the best in Berkeley in my opinion. Nice selection of coffee varieties. Outdoor seating available and dog friendly.

This was the worst takeaway ever, how are they still in business. Flat fried dumplings, dry fish and no flavour on rice £17, wouldve been better to eat dry bread. Fix up café conscious. Never buying from there again.

Delivery is awful, they lie over the phone over and over again.

Order delivery time was 7.15 pm. Text arrived at 7p.m. saying food was on its way. Food arrived at 7.25, barely lukewarm with the curried goat floating in grease that came 2/3 of the way up the sides of the plastic boxes it was in. The coleslaw portion was tiny and while it was a creamy white in colour, the texture was more like humus. Wouldnt bother again.

Long time for delivery. Phoned up to chase it two hours after ordering Blamed the delivery team (Uber). Questioned the driver who refuted this. Food turned up cold and pretty blandm not great experience m sure it was only a one off though

The BEST goat curry we have ever tasted! So much so we order from cafe conscious most weeks. Always hot, nice spicy kick, plenty of meat and flavours and the owners are extremely pleasant. A true family run business! A massive five years on a five year anniversary..!

I had the curried goat which was really nice. The only way it could be better is with a bit more sauce.The owner is friendly, the place itself is bright and spacious. They even do vegan food. I will return.

If the smells emanating from the kitchen are anything to go by, I cant imagine you can go far wrong.Nice, chilled man working who supplied me with coffee as I waited for an appointment.

This is a great find, tucked away in Barton Hill. Theres a restaurant with a take-away and delivery service available. The jerk chicken and chicken curry are to die for! The owner is a very cheerful, welcoming guy who barbecues his chicken outside the shop in the summer. Apart from the regular Caribbean dishes on offer, theres a good selection of drinks (non - alcoholicand exotic juices on the menu. A very relaxed atmosphere prevails, its casual but efficient. Good prices too. Well worth grabbing a takeaway from here or even better, ordering food to be delivered!

I dropped in for dinner on a week night. They serve Jamaican food that makes you feel good inside. Theres a friendly atmosphere and the staff have some witty chat.

Friendly and decent customer service plus good quality of food but please ensure you serve the food with properly cleaned utensils. I will still come back and give you guys another chance because the staff are friendly and believe you have more great things to offer!

Nice food but small portions for the money.

What a great place! Lovely people, lovely food... big party of us went to celebrate a loved ones life and we were made to feel so welcome, no one had to wait despite there being 14 of us, and it couldnt have been better! Really good luck for continued success cos you deserve it! Thank you! 🌺

Great food and fantastic customer service

Tasty, home cooked food. Portion sizes are just too small for me to want to come back. Goat curry and jerk chicken weren’t very generous. Goat curry had more bones than meat, With lots of rice to bulk it out is not what it’s about. Had to sit inside with our coats on because it was freezing inside as the door was left open whilst they were attending the bbq. I wanted to buy extra jerk chicken because I was still hungry but was told I’d just have to pay full price again for the meal, even if I didn’t want the extras it came with. You should make an offer for people just to buy x amount of pieces of chicken with no sides.

Food is very nice and they have a variety of options such as, tofu and kalalue to curry goat.

Great food as always, loved the ital veggie stew and jerk chicken!

The curry goat is absolutely superb, lots of meat and always piping hot.

Takeaway: delivery is fast and the food was hot. It was terrible however. The jerk chicken so dry it was almost inedible.

first time had food from here very nice food but large portions are not as large as other places to many bones in goat but still very nice

Wayne and his wife Deniece catered for our daughters Baptism recently. Nothing was too much trouble and Wayne and his wife were professional throughout catering for over 75 guests providing us with the most delicious food. Our guests were very complimentary, some said it was the best Caribbean food they had tasted and I have to agree. I would not hesitate for a second recommending Café Conscious and I will definitely be visiting soon to try some more of the dishes on offer.

Ordered food roughly 8pm. Got an estimated to be delivered at 8:55pm, suddenly this changed to 9:25pm but with this change it also changed some items on the order to somethings that were not ordered. Due to being a nut allergy sufferer this is not ideal at all. So at 9:50pm the delivery arrived even though there shop closes at 9pm, with this the food had obviously been sitting out and not fresh due to rice being stuck together dry, beans being dried out. As mentioned before as a nut allergy sufferer due to not knowing the ingredients to their chicken curry (with a large bone inI was unable to eat any of the meal.Would not recommend at all.

Absolutely love this place! Lovely decor and atmosphere, youre always made welcome, and the food is both delicious and great value!
