Cafe Belgique in Amsterdam
Description
What a place! One of the nicest bar in Amsterdam center. Very characteristic and charming. Many different particular beers, I recommend triple karmerliet. Staff is very kind and funny, the guy was Italian so we could talk a bit. Prices are totally on average. Definitely recommend trying. Thanks for the experience, I’ll come back !
MoreLove this place. The staff, the music, just everything. Can understand other reviews about the prices, but its still worth it in my book. Go every time Im in Amsterdam 👍
MoreA must if you like Belgium beerGreat selectionVery friendly place
Really good vibe in here, decent beer selection and the DJs pumping out some reggae added to the chilled out atmosphere!
MoreCool Belgian beer bar in Amsterdam. Cozy typical Belgian interior, nice beer assortment, great service. Top.As a Belgian I totally approve. 🍻
MoreNice staff , skinny guy with moustache is funny
A typical atmosphere, if you are into this. I just love it.
Very cosy place with excellent beer range!
Small cozy place, maybe too small. Boring beer choice. Nothing to say, really. Not bad, not amazing
MoreWell worth a visit a real carictor of a place .Im here on a Sunday at 17:00 5 drinkers and me great music and beer I may never leave 😀.
MoreVery friendly. Gluten-free beers available.
I have been a steady patron at this place since 2007 and have absolutely loved my time there.. however lately the bar has changed and no longer seem to cater to locals, with incredible price hikes.. Brand is owned by Heineken and a 25cl is not worth almost €4. Sad to see this place go..
MoreGreat place with outdoor sitting. Awesome beer.
Visited the first week of May 2019. Had a fantastic experience with the staff and regulars. Hope to visit again.
MoreReally freandly staff, delicious beer and interesting music. Perfect!
Nice selection of beers in a cozy bar.
Great cafe just around the corner from my work. Nice waffles, coffee and company.
MoreCame across this location by complete accident while wandering the streets of Amsterdam at night, was greeted by friendly staff (one of which offered me his jacket in the freezing cold), friendly guests, and a gorgeous atmosphere
MoreReally nice little pub with a good sized outdoor seating area. Friendly staff and nice beer
MoreOne of the best beer selections in the city, with a down-to-earth, welcoming atmosphere. Over the past few years I’ve visited here with a host of friend groups across different scenes and all of them equally felt at home. Also one of the few spots in centraal that has managed to maintain a genuinely cosy, local vibe - the sort of place to catch your breath and escape the rush of the city for an hour or two after a crazy work day.
MoreI enjoyed the experience. Very attentive and professional staff when it comes to service.Small place with extravagant interior. Only 2 tables downstairs. Me and my Mexican friends had Mescal and celebrated my friends bday. Weirdly, the staff didnt check our Corona pass. The bar must be quite profitable because Saturday night they got EVERYONE drunk. Maybe too drunk. Thank you.
MoreBelgiums spirit. Like the vibe and there are amazing beers! Service also friendly.
MoreThere was so beautiful bar and good music.I enjoyed the place : )If you like jazz You must go there.
MoreOne of my fav bars in the center of Amsterdam near Dam square. Great music, decent beer selection, good crowd usually. Really pleasant service :)
MoreSmall, but extremely cozy brown bar in the city center! I really appreciated the wide selection of beers and the courtesy of the staff (something that you dont find so often these days). Apart from the beers they also have a very good selection of whiskeys. Will definitely come back!!
MoreSmall, cosy and extremely friendly place.Sit on the bar or join a table with absolutely strange people.Or even better, just chill on the outside benches with a glass of fine beer.This place is amazing by its vibrant Amsterdamish life.All of that is accompanied by a flawless Bartender who will put a smile of yer face :}
MoreGreat little bar with a huge variety of beers! We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent small traditional Dutch brown cafe. Serves a variety of Belgian beers. Cosy setting in a side street of the busy centre of Amsterdam. Outside sitting. Very friendly bar staff. Toilet is up a steep stairway so difficult for the disabled.
MoreGreat café.. We enjoyed the service good music and very good beers! Its always nice to visit this bar and easy to reach. Amazing interiors with creative walls, quirky staff and a great atmosphere. Make the most of your visit by piping in early, it fills up quickly and the nightly DJs often bring in the crowds.
MoreAn amazing traditional bar offering more that 50 varieties of Belgium beers. Stunning interiors with creative walls, quirky staff and a great atmosphere. Make the most of your visit by piping in early, it fills up quickly and the nightly DJs often bring in the crowds, there is limited outdoor seating also.
MoreGreat cozy spot to grab a drink with Awesome music. Thanks for a great night Mika, Anton and Marco! check out - Bassculture.nl
MoreAwesome little cafe right in the heart of Amsterdam. Many many good beers to try, as the name suggest, Belgium ones. The place is also great musically, always bringing nice DJs to set.
MoreSuper friendly owner who served us nice beers. I am from Belgium myself and they really succeeded in recreating the belgian atmosphere. Drank some nice draught beers from belgium and had a great talk with the owner.
MoreEnjoyable small pub, felt like a nice escape from all of the tourist pubs. Felt like I got a real flavour of the pubs/bars of Holland. Sold a great selection of Belgian ales. A personal favourite was Kwak.
MoreCharming old bar. Great beer selection with low prices. People are able to congregate outside and drink, very cool vibe. Small inside for sure but very friendly staff and a great bar nonetheless.
MoreClassic dive bar, in the good sense, with a nice selection of beers. Mostly specials. Seating is cramped. Its a small bar but its open until 0300. Most others are only open until 0200.Staff was helpful in suggestions and friendly.
MoreSmall, characterful, bohemian cafe bar in the middle of Amsterdam in an alley, with a laid back chilled out vibe and clientele. Smoking allowed outside. Decent beers on tap such as Chimey and La Chouffe.
MoreReally cool place were to drink a good beer in very friendly environment!
Great music, there was a DJ that not only played good music, he was also having a great time. Loved the Deco. Great place
MoreBetween so many bars in Amsterdam I found Cafe Belgique to be with unique character and fabulous atmosphere. So well decorated and lovely it could be only love at the first sight. Staff is just great, friendly and spontaneous. Ill be back next time. It is such a wonderful place to be.
MoreWe came here quite frequently as we love Belgian beers and theres a large selection. Its a great place to stop for a break from shopping as its in that location. The staff are friendly and its a relaxed place to sit but we only visited during the day.
MoreDefinitely one of the coolest Amsterdam bars Ive found. Strong glass game: for every beer Ive bought here they have the correct glass, and usually with the correct brewery on it. Great vibe and cool bartenders.
MoreLittle, cozy, great offer on Belgium beers, sometimes with a DJ playing some records inside, this bar is a prime jewel in Amsterdam city center. I love to catch a beer here and listen to some tunes. Always good after work or as a night starter.
MoreTiny little bar. Great range of Belgian beers. Gets very busy!
Great beer and friendly staff. Extremely cosy but customers are nice and happy to make room/cuddle! Really lovely atmosphere but very small!
MoreSmall but great beer is served here. The DJ gets you into a nice vibe while you try to get a glimpse of the walls decor. Tip: I saw many try going upstairs to find a seat; dont bother... theres only a bathroom up there.
MoreVery unique spot! Feels Divey (in a good waywith great beer options!
Met with a couple of old Acquaintances in this hidden gem recently. Located on Gravenstraat just off the beaten path. Great selection of premium Belgian beers. Very cosy and intimate atmosphere. Also, very friendly staff and clientele. Gezellig!
MoreSmall place, good for a quick beer. Can get really crowded though!
This bar is small, and when I say small I mean its really, really small. However if youre out looking for a special beer, this bar has a great selection of Belgium beers. Prices are alright although with some beers they can be a bit on the expensive side. The music there is great, mostly rock music and on some days there is a DJ playing.During the summer you can sit and stand outside. Most people there are very social and relaxed.
