Cafe 21 - Cafe in Darwin, Australia
Quiet location, plenty of off street parking, good atmosphere, plenty of seats. Plenty of friendly staff. Good menu - happy with our breakfast. Would go again.
Very tasty eggs Benny! And I must say very beautiful presentation. Always clean, good selection of pretty much everything and very friendly service.
Didnt get what was ordered. Eggs Runny after clearly ordering well done. Ordered avacardo feta got vegetarian meal, the cooked beetroot was nice but who has quinoa and broccoli for breakfast? Weird asCoffee coated in cocao powder enough to bake a cake!
Bought pies to take away, the first issue was the guy tried to give us the wrong pie that we clearly asked for. Secondly they were tepid in temperature, having come from a bain marie that was apparently keeping food warm including roasted meat. We took the pies back in to sort it out, was told they should have been heated for us which they then did but while my partners pie was hot, mine wasnt. I had to eat it as I didnt have time to go back again. A time bomb , as a food safety supervisor, reheated food has to be served at 75C.........no chance this was AND no idea how long the pies were sitting in a luke warm bain marie.Be VERY careful going here
Breakfast burger is the goods have to eat it with a steak knife and fork. Came out within 10 mins and we were off in time just for the fishing charter.
Loved this place, gets a bit busy some times but no issue with that.
Sensational on all levels. Definitely going again. 😋
Disappointing, ordered eggs, bacon, tomatoes and hash brown. Meal came out without the bacon, had to take meal back to get the bacon. The eggs were very undercooked, most of the white was still clear and slimy. Tomatoes very bland and no flavour and the homemade hash brown was undercooked, hard and cold inside. Not sure if this place has changed hands because last time we went there a couple of years ago it was great, couldn’t fault it.
Great variety of food, good quality as well.
Strong coffee, lovely crepes, bacon + egg special order very well done 👍
Do not go this place for Cold beverages. They can make it too sweet or bitter. And not worth the money you pay at all 👎
This place lives up to its reviews - decent tasty food, quick service and a large range of food choices. We read the bad reviews and maybe they were justified. Our experience was a good one
Tasty fresh food and nice coffeePlenty of seating and friendly service , can highs recommend this cafe 21
Ridiculous expensive for low quality, very average tasting food. The owners are just disgustingly greedy. Nearly spent 80D for two adults and two under 3s on our lunch. When I needed a break from the very salty dish that I had and asked for a takeaway container, i was charged .50c. It certainly isnt about the money but after that whole rip off experience, this just tipped me over. Never again
Lovely setting for meeting some friends for brunch. Meals came in timely manner as did drinks.
I don’t know whether this place has changed hands or cooks but the breakfast (big boywas awful! The bacon was days old, I sent it back to be given exactly the same disgusting bacon. This used to be a nice place to eat, being a tour guide, I recommended it to our guests, never again.I will never come back here. We spent $51 on disgusting food. I wondered why it was empty when we walked in, it’s normally really busy
Unfortunately our breakfast was definitely not what I was hoping. The omelette was average and my acai bowl was definitely not an acai bowl. It was.some form of puff wheat with cream,.added milk and fruit. It was terrible to say the least. I picked at the fruit and could not eat the rest. 1 point for the coffee and 1.for the average omelette.
An amazing breakfast prawn and Avocado salad. With a hot chocolate and a coke. Reminder to myself these dont mix well
Went for lunch meals weren’t hot, sent back our chips but mean while everything else went cold. I had the the roast pork and veg everything right down to the gravy was just warm. For what your paying they should at least make sure it’s hot.
Lovely staff and tasty food! We got 3 açai bowls and they were lovely but could have been doing with more açai and it was mostly granola, yogurt and fruit! The service here is great. :)
Great range for breakfast or lunch. Cakes and sweets also available, friendly service .
Very enjoyable food excellent sweets were. Scrumptious yummy
Good food. Ambiance a little limited but the service was prompt and friendly.
Juices are always nice and food is decent but my mum ordered a sausage roll and half of the mince was raw and pink when she cut into it so the staff replaced it with a new one but that was also raw… 😬 we told them again and they took it away without saying anything so we just left
Nice place, great people, good selection of food.
No better place than this in D.town. great food, great team, nothing beats up this place.
Always good for just a coffee or even a full meal. Love the food.
I paid $7.90 for a tiny plain croissant. This is a joke
This is a classic Darwin go-to for breakfast and lunch. It is often very busy but you can always get a seat and the food always seems to come quickly. The menu is broad and full of general cafe fare, and the juices are really nice too. Plenty of pre-prepared takeaway options as well.
Huge dishes and quite tasty. Good.option for brunch
Always have an outstanding meal...great food gorgeous presentation
Nice Cafe but overpriced and slow service. Good coffee
Fantastic choice of great food. Good service and reasonably priced. Cafe inside was comfortable and well set out. It’s a shame they aren’t open for dinner because I would be back😀Love this place would certainly recommend.
A peaceful, spacious café with great food and lovely staff. Nice outdoor seating for familys and indoor seating for a quiet breakfast.
Had the bacon & egg breakfast roll with extra bacon and it was FANTASTIC! Heaps of bacon. Thank you so much for a final breaky on the last day of our holidays in Darwin.
Asked for the protein breakfast, steak well done! I got served a blue plate covered in blood, full of gristle could not cut it. I took it back to the front counter asked for a well-done steak asked for a new piece of steak without gristle, what turned up looked like something that you do not even feed a dog.$22 for nothing. Never going back would never recommend this place,Yesterday’s breakfast was just as average, though I’d was just a bad day butThis place suxFriday 1/10/21 08:15
We went here for breakfast and were blown away by the food. We ordered the pancakes and crepes which were perfectly cooked, more than enough to fill you up and the fruit salad was artfully decorated on the plate. The service was quick and efficient. I would love to go back here again and try the rest of their menu.
Popular with locals, this is a great place for a lazy Sunday brunch. Large clean venue with modern appeal and efficient friendly staff. Service is prompt. Carpark available, no Wi-Fi. Freshly baked sausage roll (6.5$), bacon egg roll with coffee combo (9$ !!!). He desserts are dellliiicious! Walking distance to city, great for business or date.
The premises is clean and airconditioned, staff are friendly and the food is great (vegan optiond also). Specials every day. Exactly what i was looking for. Muggacino and a Vegie Haven yummmmm
Excellent food and drinks. Service is incredible. The staff remember you from your previous visit and remember what you ordered. We have had breakfast there 4 mornings and will be going back every morning for breakfast until we leave. Had lunch there on one day and once again food and service was incredible.
Great atmosphere and great service I would really recommend it if you travel to Darwin pop in and enjoy a beautiful breakfast
Had brunch there today with the family (2kids). The fresh juices on offer tasted wonderful. The coffee is the best l have found so far in Darwin. I am a coffee lover, especially being Victorian, we love our coffee!Customer service is great! Food was great too!
Delicious food well presented and best service! Have been here for breakfast on 3 out of 4 days during our stay in Darwin (with Kids).
Place is cozy and nice. Average service. Food? Their chicken wings is yuck.
Great selection of fresh food and drinks. Great service and fast. Heaps of seating inside or out.
Good food in a convenient location. The daily special $15 is also generous in portion.
Up and down in quality from really good to really off.Mostly very good.Coffee is tasty.Desserts have great variety for all ages.
Great service wonderful selection of foods for both breakfast and lunch, they have a good selection of healthy options as well as your traditional cafe meals, staff are very friendly and the service is quite rapid, the place is spotless and the food is fresh they also have an alcohol license well worth a visit if youre hungry and in the area
After a lazy Sunday at home, this was the perfect cafe to stroll into when we were in the mood for some decent grub. A huge variety of sandwiches, hot food, sweets and healthy offerings. Of course, we choose the cooked and deep fried food which was so damn satisfying! Friendly service and better value when you get your dish as part of a meal.
In Darwin visiting family. Went here a couple of times. Great service and food. Will be back again.
