No. 38, Section 1, Zhongxiao W Rd, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan 100, Taipei
Set in the Central Business District, this relaxed hotel with direct access to Taipei Main Railway Station is a 14-minute walk from the bustling Ximending shopping district. The casual rooms, some with vibrant artwork, feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus tea and coffeemakers, and minibars. Upgraded rooms have sitting areas, and suites add living rooms. Room service is available. There's a traditional Chinese restaurant, and a laid-back buffet eatery offering breakfast. Other amenities include an exercise room, a spa and a rooftop garden. Event space and a business center are available.
The room is pretty big.2 tiny twin bedsit’s needs an update asap, it’s very outdated.let’s start with the mattressit’s rock hard!!!You’re pretty much sleeping on the box spring! You can literally feel the springs!Pillow is like falling j to quicksand. (see pic)TV it’s pretty old as well it’s like the first gen of flat screen tvs and the color is way off. not sure if it’s the connect from the cable box to tv is loose (see pic)You have to manually close each light in the room because the switch by the door turns off the power to the room = can’t charge your phone. The light switch is like pulling out the key card. Most hotels now, to keep the power / AC on you have to leave your room key in this slot they have by the door.Mold is dangerous from what i’ve heardThere’s Mold in the bathroom tub area and on the shower head (see pic)slipper not sure if those are roach legs lol (see pic)
The location is great but coming here by car the traffic was terrible. None of the staff member smiled. I stood at the lounge at the counter none of them came and asked do I need help. Take gym at the 6th floor most of the equipments are are out of order. The rooms are clean but out of date and some other things are chipped and broken.
The room is incredibly spacious and perfect for quarantine! The service is extremely nice and welcoming, taking care of all our needs. The food is also very delicious with even McDonald’s for morning! The view I got is spectacular and very quiet at night. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a place to quarantine!
I stayed here as my covid requirement. Room was clean and modern, wifi was good. They brought meals and outside orders at stated times. When ever I had a question they were quick to respond. Thank you!
I lived here for 7 days quarantine- the bath room is small and dirty- the mat is dusty- Mold in the ceiling- The food is the TERRIBLE, all them taste like 1 month old in the fridge and I have diarrhea for the whole time.- Wifi is so slow and it tooks me 10 min to finish this reviewStaff is ok.
This is not a 5 star hotel by any means. This hotel is old, dirty and moldy. The hotel is taking advantage of expats doing quarantine, serving low quality (&quantityfood with no choice of menu.Of course they charge all that at a premium. To all the companies and travelers :DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!
I stayed at this hotel for quarantine two times. The rooms are very large and spacious with options for balconies and bathtubs. The hotel staff are always available to meet your needs when you call reception or message them on line. It was very clean. The hotel is a bit older but it is very excellent value for what you get.
A very old hotel with mouldy interior and beddings. Room light blinks but cannot be fixed during quarantine stay. The food was almost always the same and did not taste good. There’s also limited food/goods delivery hours (only 5 times a day, if your stuff arrived outside of the delivery time frame they will not deliver until the next time block). There were also tiny black bugs on one of the beds. The hallway was dark and stuffy. My neighbour smoked and I could smell the smoke as if he was smoking right next to me. The staff also did not reinforce twice daily temperature checks. Avoid at all cost.
🐶💩 do not stay at this hotel for quarantine. Bad and unaccommodating service, lazy logistical planning for deliveries (only accepts deliveries in 5, 30 minute intervals throughout the day… room service must be SOO hard to organize), rampant smoking, moldy furniture, and just a generally 🗑 vibe. Find alternatives venues at all costs.+Just think I should clarify, I don’t think service people are in the fault here. Management team just seems highly incompetent, supply is unable to meet demand so they’re able to get away with being 🐶💩, just need to collect the checks.
NT3700 per night to quarantine in this 5 Star hotel is not worth it at all.Room interior is very old and dirty, they are very inconsiderate to give a room to a lady guest without makeup mirror !They continue to supply me 7 days of MacDonald breakfast not realize about it till I feed back than they start to supply different breakfast.I asked for upon delivery meal press the bell but depends on the staff mood whether to do it or not.TV certain channel no sound at all.So is really a super bad experience for me.
I did my quarantine at this hotel. I spent 2 weeks there, the room was really dirty, the service not great and I received the same food at every meal! I do not recommend it. The price was very expensive only to be locked up in a room…
We were given the room on 11th floor. The view was amazing. This is very near to Taipei Main Station. The service is good. The rooms are very neat and well maintained.
The lunch buffet was amazing for the price that youre paying. I especially enjoyed the strawberry themed desserts. Yay for strawberry season!
Reception service is great. Room decoration is modern, although the night table lamp and celling lamp looks a bit not elegant. House keeping ok, but noticed they have not vacuum the carpet for whole 5 days of my stay, because there were dirt in a small area lasted for the whole stay. Look
Great location , but a bit dated. Room had a slight musky smell even though the aircon was left on before I entered. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. They even gave me a free room upgrade probably due to low fill rate from covid.Metro entrance and convenience store right outside the main door
Wonderful stay - good location, big room and comfortablebed. Excellent services reendered by hotel staff -Rex,Caitlin. Special thanks to Ms Abby for going the extra mile to assist our needs - of my injured leg. Also to Kevin and concerige team for the valuable services. We will come back again. Thank you everyone and well done! from Betty and Audrey.
Although the hotel was a bit aged, but the location was excellent with direct access to the subway and the Taipei Station. Room size was good and condition was acceptable. There was a number of famous restaurants and department store within walking distance. Staff was well trained. Everything was up to expectation.
It was a perfect place for business stay and conducting any seminars. Centrally located next to the MRT and very cooperative staff and amazing hospitality. We must go there again next time.
The valet parking guys was rude and unapproachable. We wanted to park over car and when we were about to drive down, he told us to come out of the car and we have to drag our luggage from the carpark to the concerige. Check in as fast but room is really run down. The bathroom needs revamped. The carpet is old and dirty
Coming from Canada it was great to hear the staff spoke good English. The kindness of customer-service they showed was top-notch. The room was clean, spacious, and overall beautiful! The Western-style power-outlet plugs that were on top of the Asian-style power-outlets in my room was a bonus-- I was happy to be able to use my laptop. The location is right next to many night-market style food, shopping, and train station--so it was super convenient. I would come back to this hotel in a heart beat!Thank you for making my visit to Taipei so memorable!
It is located in front of the main station so it is convenient for travelers however the room is not well maintained. My room smelled like fungus and dusty. The bed was too hard to fell asleep.
I booked this hotel as i was travelling from Taichung on high speed rail.. its just opposite the station, so location is great with lots of eateries and shopping nearby. Hotel lobby is grand and nice, but room is a little old and need some refurbishing. Breakfast variety is ok but no stand out item.
This place is really very convenient hence the 3 stars! The hotel is really basic, perhaps after staying in JustSleep and Fullon i was abit spoiled by the look and feel of the hotel. Caesar Park is located just opposite the Taipei Main Station so its a bustling hotel! Give yourself time to check out local stops just located at the back of the hotel they have alot of food choices that can whet your appetite all day round! And they are really affordable and value for money!
Super old rooms and the cleanliness level needs to be improved as well . This is not a cheap hotel but the actual rooms are nowhere near with the pictures they show online.I stayed there for 7 nights and the sound proof was absolutely TERRIBLE. I could clearly hear the conversation someone else was having in the room next to me, and they weren’t even yelling, they were literally just talking at a normal volume and pitch. I had terrible sleeps because of that. The only pro is probably the location, very convenient to subway station. But honestly next time I would rather staying at a different hotel and walk for a few minutes. There are plenty of new hotels around this location and prices are potentially even cheaper.
At a great location where connecting the underground (exit M6with lifts directly reaching the upper floors, you could access to the hotel even during adverse weather from airport.Rooms are tidy and clean, fast check in / out with polite and friendly staffs, highly recommended.
Excellent service from hotel staff and one of the best location in taipei city for food and shopping. Several high quality japanese ramen and eateries when heading towards station entrance M6 at B1. Theres also a stretch of Michelin Star awarded restaurants on the ground level by the side of the hotel. The room I was given was huge and spacious, and would have been perfect with slightly more furnishings, maybe with modern ones.
Amazing staff and equally impressive location right at Taipei Main Station. It has an exit right into the train station, and many taxis waiting outside. Staff are very friendly and attentive, and are always available whenever you are in the lobby. Expedia VIPs will get their benefits recognised here.
Clean room. Nice service, free Wi-Fi, power adapter available. Quiet rooms. Beautiful roof top garden. Best location.Direct underground connection to MRT station and free from rains.
I stayed overnight in a single king bed in May of 2006. Paid roughly $144 when all was said and done. There was a 10% gratuity above Expedias quoted rate.Pros: Nice furniture, close to everything.Cons: Hallway stank of smoke, stained carpets in room, tiny TV, $10 (US/ hour for use of the business centers wired internet connection, ROUGH towels, $12 continental breakfast.Staff refused to allow me to change rooms when I complained of the smell and stains. This is NOT a 5 star hotel by any means. If it wasnt for the expensive furniture, it would be a 2 star.
I was extremely disappointed with the service and facility of this hotel. I booked this hotel because it was closed to the Taipei station. I realized that I made a mistake because I was carrying 3 huge luggages with my old parents. Although the hotel is right across to the busy street, we had to go around to the very corner, carry all the bags ourselves to the hotel. When I asked the hotel if they had shuttle service to help us, they told me they would charge me 300 NT to help me carrying the luggages to the front door of the Taipei station.I could not believed my ears! I could just spend 75 NT on taxi without their help. They even charged 1000 NT as deposit for one night. I had been staying at many 5-star hotels, and this was the first time that I was charged. It makes me feel that they do not trust their customers. The room was old and small, and this definitely does not meet our expectation of a 4-5 star hotel.I will never , ever stay in this hotel again!最差的服務!不便宜的價格!房間及設施並不高級。性價比超低!
Super services by the hotel staffs who really go out of the way to make u feel comfortable. Location of hotel is 2nd to none. Directly opposite main Taipei station. to top it off, there are fast food, convenience store n local food stalls around the hotel. Will definitely recommend ppl to stay there.
The location is one of the very best in Taipei. Right across the Taipei main station, its suffice to say the entire country is within in reach. Get here from the airport either using limousine buses or yje new Airport MRT. Staffs very helpful and welcoming. Some rooms have been updated and renovated. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Fairly quiet at night i slept well. The room rate is reasonable for this category of hotels.
Considered an older hotel. Excellent location, near the main train station, NTU hospital, museums, parks, etc. I found the service to be excellent, and the facilities are perfectly maintained. The wifi is okay but not fast as one would expect of such a place. The look out the window was wonderful, even if not in the perfect location. Price is higher than I normally spend but reasonable for this class of hotel and location. I would stay here again.
The person picking up the phone for room service wasnt good. He should know my name and room number but instead asking for my room number, which is unacceptable. The soup and the risotto were not hot at all, not even lukewarm. Very disappointed.
Its conditions can only be rated 3-star. The building is old. The room is small. Space is not well utilized. We cant even put our stuff in the bathroom. The shower room is leaking. We were told that was a remodeled room. Anyway, the design is strange. The only positive thing is the location. Its convenient to go everywhere.
The outside looks shabby but the inside is the complete opposite. I had a lovely stay here. The rooms were big, modern, and comfortable. The bathroom was nicely laid out. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to the station to get to the airport, and there are no shortage of taxis right outside.
The room was fine. Nothing special about it. It badly needs renovation. I was expecting more considering the price. My advice would be to skip the breakfast the food is not up to par for what the price is. For $15 US you would expect way better food. The hotel staff its wonderful though. I left my business cards at home, and they directed me to a print shop that was 5 minutes away. And got them done same day.
Great location and excellent service from all staff when trying to arrange train tickets. Very generous - able to accomodate early check in by a few hours and free room upgrade which was greatly appreciated. Rooms incl bathroom are a bit dated with unclean windows but overall a great place to stay.
We stayed here for 4 nights and expected a 4-star hotel quality. However, the rooms are really dated, especially the bathroom. Some of the caulking already peeled off in the side of the vanity. We can smell cigarettes from the hall way quite often. Although we do not smell the smoke from the room, we can hear people talking from the next room. In addition, the free wi-fi is extremely slow and often dropped. The only positive thing with this hotel is the location. You can go anywhere from MRT and grab something from the streets close by. Unless you really need to stay close to Taipei Station, I would stay elsewhere.
Fantastic location and service. Being right across the road from Taipei Main Station is very handy, and when its raining, as it was when we stayed, its all conmected via an underground shopping mall. We stayed in the basic unrenovated room, but really have no complaints.. dated yes, but clean and comfortable.
We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and the room we get is not what we saw from the internet pictures. The first day we checked in and stepped out of the lift of 7th floor (assigned roomsheading towards to our room, damp smell along the very dim corridors and the moment we opened the door the smell is unbearable until we need to open up the old n rusty window for ventilation.Interiors were really outdated - bathroom was very dim due to lighting and old wall tiles (dark brownwater tap dropped out, dirty bathtub, bath towels smell damp, faulty hairdryer, fridge was not cold, bedsheets were dusty (requested to change)...We booked this hotel based on the reviews from several website and rating was 8 out of 10 but it doesn’t seem that great to me. I’m wondering did we get what we booked? No doubt location is marvelous but will not recommend and stay in this hotel anymore.
Other 5* hotels are better but this one is not bad at all. Service is great, room is very clean, buffet breakfast is so-so, location is Perfect! TIP: go to roofdeck on the 20th floor timelapse the sun setting its great!!! Will add more room pics later.
Staff were helpful in putting our luggage in safe room until our check in at 2.30pm. My request for high floor, new bedsheet and pillows were met.Wish the carpet and room were brighter in colors.
Services provided by employee was good. They could speak multi languages and very polite. One thing I feel not comfortable was that it takes a lot of time to get hot shower. However, at this time writing this review, cold shower itself is very funny thing. I could have interesting experience.
First, fantastic location. Easily accessible from the underground mall and subway. Elevator from underground right to your room. This makes it convenient to many shops. And right by Taipei main station so convenient as a home base for sightseeing.Second, high quality hotel. Large, professionally run, and excellent service. They have restaurants in house and gym too, though I havent tried them.
There are a couple different room options, and we highly recommend going for the upgraded room (Metro?because those are the newly renovated ones. The hotel is extremely convenient, located at the same station / transportation hub as the most of the major transportation options (high speed rail, subway lines, etc.).Nancy at the E-Lounge was a particular delight, going out of her way to help out even though she was swamped with calls (I think she also serves as the hotels Japanese liaison).
In A Nutshell:-Perfect LOCATION, centrally located to get where you need and fast.-Great, I mean fantastic service! English speaking and very knowledgeable staff make it a very comfy experience.-If you need a taxi show them where you want to go and the doorman/woman will communicate to the driver.-The double room is fashionable and are a decent size plus its clean and comfortable.-The only knock I have is the water. When someone is showering becareful with the sink bc you can take away the hot/cold and scold/freeze them.-You also need to request a iron/board since the room doesnt have one.Overall, Id definitely book this spot again. The rates are very, very reasonable ($115 /night). Again, the location and staff are excellent.
A bit expensive, but worth it for the great location! Directly across from the train station and very close to the metro and bus. Very high-end, very comfortable stay. Love their food!! I ate at their buffet for breakfast and dinner. They have great variety - frozen yogurt, desserts, dumplings, vegetable dishes, drinks, salads, soups, porridge, and more.
+Excellent service.Very nice penthouse room (Room 1932).Was upgraded all 3 times I stayed there (June 2016).Convenient - short walk to bus station, just above train station.-Room conditions differed quite a bit.Small bathtubs.
I stayed at room 1923 over the weekend for two nights. I paid $187 per night for it so I expect top quality. I was shock to find bed bugs. 2nd morning I thought maybe I ate something wrong and causing allergic. 2nd evening, more bites occurred. I quickly moved to other hotel. Nice view, nice patio. But bed bugs totally turned everything into a terrible experience.
