Self-guided tours through colorful interactive displays about chocolate-making & Cadbury history.
Great day out for the family. Really good and engaged both the younger children and the grandparents. Gave us all 3 chocolate bars at the start!! Also got to try out some chocolate with toppings like fudge or even jelly babies. Had a cool ride too!
Bit disappointing really. Maybe I had high expectations of seeing a mass production line of creme eggs and dairy milks being made but no. If you are expecting a factory tour then it nothing like! You get to play with warm chocolate with plasters tools!Considering the price I would definitely not go again..Ps. Mr Cadbury sounded a nice sort of chap.
It’s a really wonderful experience, but for kids - as an adult you might not enjoy it as much as they mostly show videos of what it is like to have a brand with a history of its own! They’ve also got the biggest Cadbury shopping centre in the UK.
This was a good experience, would recommend. There’s a variety of interactive stuff during the self tour. There’s not much chocolate-y things to do more history. The whole experience is accessible to all. There were subtitles and an interpreted attractions in BSL. The 4D experience is a nice way to end the tour. The playground is a nice addition too.The shop is disappointing as after learning all about the history of Cadbury you’d think you’d be able to buy vintage packed chocolates. Instead it’s just your average chocolate you can buy from your local shop at full price. Love the novelty chocolate stuff; that shone.
A good day out, I was concerned that the kids (7,4would find it a bit boring, I was imagining a factory tour, it was far from it, 2 nice hands on experiences to try, a little ride and a great 4d ride that the kids loved, all included in the ticket price, you also get about 10 chocolate bars included although you will end up buying from the gift shop. A good 4 hours all in at least. Well worth a visit. Its cheaper to book tickets in advance.
Wonderful day out with family. Id never been before but found it to be very enjoyable. Definitely aimed at families and kids but had fun nonetheless. Would 100% recommend booking tix in advance on holidays (we visited in Oct Half Term!and it was SOLD OUT when we arrived. Take advantage of the 4D show, seasonal shows and free chocolate. Also enjoyed visiting the village shops nearby.
Amazing place and experience for all ages! The tour itself took around 2 hours and includes chocolate tasting. There’s plenty to do after the tour with the 4D cinema and shop.
A great family day out, also was a great way to teach kids how chocolate is made. 4d cinema was fantastic theres a little ride play area and big gift shop at the end. Parking is free.
This is one the best place in Birmingham for sightseeing and enjoying the moment with chocolate. This is a place, which is suitable for all ages. They have their time slots, better to booked in advance. For senior citizens they charged 16 pound and for others 19 they charged. While showing tickets on entry they gives lots of chocolates Cadbury. As you enter, they have one way arrangements which means everything like picture, ride, games comes by one after another.Which is so good, you can passed your two hours easily.Inside many corner they have toilets and water. Can take stroller easily inside. They gives chocolate tasting as well.George Cadbury nice success ,Displays is very classic and attractive.Must must visit place, with best experience.
Great place to visit. Lots to do with young children, and give them the knowledge of how chocolate is made. 4D cinema is great with slightly moving chairs. Play centre to visit. They have a good cafe that prices arent to expensive but you could take food and eat in the outdoor play area. Friendly staff who are happy to help or explain anything you need to know.Discount shop but not that much cheaper than the normal price.Highly recommended to visit.
I love the Cadbury world gift shop! It’s so great to have a trip out around Christmas time to get all of your chocolate for gifts etc, at a better price than supermarkets etc.The tour is fun, but you’d only really want to do it once. (Unless you have childrenit’s quite expensive for what it is in all honesty. The take away cafe sells nice coffee / hot chocolates and snacks, but the food options are quite limited. This is much more noticeable if you go at a time when the main cafe is closed. This place has limited capacity and pre booking during the school holidays and weekends is a must!
It was really enjoyable but is outdated. The indoor queues for the paid tour in the heat were awful. Activities such as decorating a marble slate seemed pointless (see picand not worth the wait or time spent on the tour. I enjoyed the free museum about the history of Cadbury.
Queues queues and more queues!!Was really looking forward to visiting with our family after previously visiting about 10yrs ago.First impressions were good, but slowly went down hill.Queued to get into the self guided tour; and then continued to queues for the rest of it. Got held in a long hallway for 25mins with our 4yr old for a car ride which he enjoyed but was pointless. There was lots of unhappy children and this needs to be managed much better!I was expecting to see the live working of the factory but instead there was lots of signage on the walls. Nothing like how it used to be. No production side of it.The park area was packed and we were told it was over 45 mins for the 4d cinema. We didnt do this because my son couldnt wait and was frustrated. He was expecting a choclate factory prob like most children but instead we got lots of people and queueing. Id manage your childrens expectation. All in all we felt totally ripped off by Cadbury world and not good value for money.I couldnt ever return or recommend it.
Wow, what an experience!!Fantastic, very pleased, the kids and even grandma really loved it.The 4D chocolate adventure an additional attraction was magical, there is an African adventure play area outside, very popular with our 3yr old. And family entertainment show, we had a little dance, fun and interactive.staff very friendly and professional, chocolate making experience, And the final attraction was about 30minutes wait, a ride down some routes, ice scenery was beautiful.Free parking.I recommend
Good 3 hrs experience, 2 hrs inside & 1 hr outside. The 4D show was great. Only minus I would say is the ticket price is a bit too much. Parking is free though.
Was a lovely experience kids love it. The adventure park is awesome too. Bit pricey I think as not much to do but still OK. I went as a kid so wanted to let my daughter experience it too 😎❤💯
We had such a lovely time. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. We pre booked a week or so in advance. When we arrived, we had a good 30 minute wait to get in so I would recommend booking a slightly earlier slot to account for that. During the tour, the activities along the way are lots of fun. Would recommend to all. Its chocolate - whats not to love. There are cafes and picnic areas and enough toilets. We probably spent around 5 hours here, including an hour for lunch.
Great place for the kids. Well great for any Chocolate lover, you will not be disappointed. We all loved it. Bit of a wait for the attractions. But its going to be like this being so popular. You can even visit the shop without paying for entry. Great stuff and the shop is cheap. MASSIVE bars of chocolate. Happy days. 🍫🍫😍 Stuff the haters its great. 😂
We loved our visit today. Recommend getting tickets on line, so you can reserve your entry time to the main attraction. There was plenty of parking space. On site there are fast food kiosks and a cafe ( a bit slow), but plenty of tables for picnics, all very clean, beside a lovely play area. The main attraction is very interactive, and held my granddaughters attention (5 yrs). The history is very interesting as is the chocolate making process. We enjoyed tasting the chocolate and writing with it.It is very clean and well signposted and there are many hand sanitizer stations. So, I recommend taking a picnic and spending your money is the lovely Cadbury shop, where there are some great deals!
Took my children for a day out in the summer holidays. What a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We had booked our main tour for 13.30 but we were held up in traffic as there had been an accident. We phoned and they moved our booking for 15.30 instead. Took the stress off the journey instantly. We did the 4D experience first. It was brilliant, fun for all ages, we then made our way over to the main tour for our allotted time slot. The tour included bars of chocolate on entry, drawing with chocolate on a marble slab, photo on a green screen with different backdrops, chocolate liquid with varying toppings to choose from and a car ride which has a photo opportunity too.
Really nice day out with plenty to do.Make sure you go couple of hours before your entry time. To be honest the actual tour was very long with too much "dead space" to walk through with 3 main attractions; 1nice area with a mockup of South America environment, 2messing around with some chocolate which probably seemed like a nice idea on the drawing board than it actually is 😆, 3a small buggy tour ride thats last about 5 minutes at the most after waiting around 30 minutes in the queue 🙈The reason you go 2 hours early is because theres a 4D cinema which you can go in as part of your entry ticket but only the once, a live fun and interactive show for the kids. Theres also a museum but we didnt have time for that and really nice play and eating area so all in all a really fun packed day with some free chocolate and plenty of chocolates to buy at wholesale prices and some nice souvenirs
Loved it. Plenty of interactive experiences. The smell of chocolate tempted my tastebuds in the shop. During school holidays be prepared to queue for entry at your allocated time. For all chocolate lovers out there this is a must see tourist attraction. Friendly staff.
Good fun place.. Tour will last for around couple of hours.. It is worth a visit with the kids.. But chocolate world in York is much better than Cadbury world
Excellent place for kids to play and get to know how the chocolates are made. There are excellent activities inside like drawing with chocolate liquid, kids train journeys.. the 4D show was excellent... There was a chocolate gift while entering and it was amazing and tasty..
Kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Shame not everything was open but suppose we were technically off season mid July not all schools have broken up.The 4D was great and no queue. Got a bunch of chocolate going in and one cup of melted chocolate near the end.Bit disappointing you dont actually see the production line. Couple of windows where staff are pouring into moulds but was expecting to see more of the factory.
Amazing place!Perfect place for a day out with a family! My parents enjoy every bits of chocolate 😁The tour through chocolate fabric is well organised. We had a chance to design chocolate and we really enjoyed. The space is clean and tidy. Lot’s of staff members to ask if you have questions. The play area out side is big and good. Lot’s of staff to do for children not to get bored. The car park is big. We booked tickets ahed. At the end of the trip everybody agreed the price is too small for what they offer.Recommend!🔆📸
I am from South Africa and I am turning 31 this year and I convinced my partner and his parents to go to Cadbury world for the day. Let me just say that we were all very impressed and we all loved it! The photos do not do the experience justice. I have some great videos and some great memories and I will be taking my kids here too. What Cadbury’s did for women and workers is beyond amazing and I only wish more companies had their morals and ethics.
We travelled for an hour and a half to visit, and luckily we quite enjoyed it! I was happy with the amount of chocolate with our ticket. We were disappointed with the amount of actual factory working that you could see. But the other bits were good. The signs could be improved, for example more maps, or a regular QR code, so you can see where you are on site would be useful. It was very busy when we went, but it was a Sunday. Overall a good visit. I dont think I would return any time soon though, I dont think its a venue that would change very often.
This place has changed hugely since I last went 30 years ago. Its brilliant. But I did miss the taste of the first type of chocolate drink, and the infinity tower of choc bars. That was so memorable. You should bring it back! But it was good. The 4d experience very good. The interactive parts fabulous and the chocolate writing and tempering were great! The exhibition about Mr Cadbury is also essential. So interesting! Also do go and walk around Bournville. Its lovely and friendly
Slightly chaotic on arrival as we were directed to the wrong queue but otherwise we loved it! Spent much longer in the main exhibition than anticipated. Museum hard to find as I think any signs were under plastic (pic attachedwhile the building is renovated but really interesting once we found it. Overall Im glad we went, we had fun.
Chocoholics heaven! Loved it and completely enjoyed the whole tour and experience. Chocolate tasting was great. The making of chocolate was truly amazing. Got lot’s of chocolates, will last me for few months. I am a chocoholic if you are into chocolates then this is a must do place.
Absolutely loved it here, so did my children. As imaginable it was extremely busy, but on the whole it was a lovely experience. Thoroughly enjoyed it
It’s a chocolate factory, not much more to say. A lot of chocolate handed out, great set up for the kids with the various shows and attractions. Would definitely recommend. We used the Blue Light discount so worth remembering before you book.
We had a Great time and already talking about going back. As a self confessed chocolate addict, this was my spiritual home. Upon entering we were given three bar of chocolate. It was a struggle not the eat them straight away. It al start with a intro to chocolate before moving on to the cadburys family origins. They are tempering workshops, writing in chocolate and even tasting. We can also get your photo with some iconic brands. We did the flake bath tub one. There also a 4D film, which unfortunately for us the 4D part wasnt working on our visit. As well as a play area for the little ones to enjoy. The gift shop surprised us the most. As regular theme park/ attraction visitors, we know that normally these places can be quite expensive. Not the case here, in fact some of the chocolates were cheaper here then in the shop. Which turned out to be my downfall, netting a number of packets and bars. Even the t-shirt were reasonable. We pay £8 for a child top and about £10 for mine.Another trip wont be far away.
Its my 2nd time to Cadbury World after more than 10 years. This time we brought our two boys 12 and 7. I didnt expect much; my eldest read mixed reviews and was managing his own expectations. For the youngest, its his first time so was full of optimism! At the end of the day, what I can say is that the kids both had a thoroughly entertaining experience, not merely in terms of fun but also being engaged around the production and advertising aspects of chocolate making. The new additions (from our last visit a decade agolook to be evolving towards interactive, live or virtual events, such as the 4D, and live entertainment event, Fredo the Frog, with lots of audience participation. There were, of course queues, but I like the fact that Cadbury have "roaming entertainers" (juggling acts, costume characters, etcto bring cheer whilst waiting in the queue, making the wait more bearable -- for us this time, it wasnt to bad 15-20 mins for each of the mentioned 4D and Fredo shows.Overall, our family gives Cadbury World a full thumbs up. We arrived before 11am and left after 5.30pm. It felt like we had a full day of being totally engaged. In other theme parks, the long queues are tiring but our Cadbury experience was extremely positive. Personally, my wife and I enjoyed this 2nd time experience more than our first!
Really informative about the history of chocolate aswel as hands on fun and interactive activities to keep the younger ones entertained and chocolate give aways could never be a bad thing. Decent price wise for what you get including the gift shop (we didnt use the cafe as did feel that would add on price wise when looked at the sample menu but easy to work aroundan Experience to share as a family thoroughly enjoyed especially the 4d cinema
Amazing place to spend 3 hours with your children. Try to arrive 2 hours before your session. Don’t miss the 4D show it was adorable. There are free car park. Finally, book your tickets online it is cheaper than in office.
Good experience at Cadbury world.Went on a weekend non half term. It was fairly busy but not too long a wait to access stuff like writing your name with chocolate. They give you a few bars each when you go into the experience which is a nice touch. The experience lasts around 60-90 minutes, although it could be longer if you do extra stuff like the 4D experience or face painting. They take your photos there which start around £12 (as of May 2022).The shop at the end was ok, although they mostly just sell chocolate you can find in your local supermarket. I remember years ago they used to have nostalgia chocolate, but that seems to have gone now.
Our first time visiting. An excellent family day out. Lots to do and out 5 year old loved the freddo show and the 4D cinema. Would definitely recommend
Great day out, with fun chocolatey activities to do. The 4D cinema was excellent! My only negative is that once you complete the tour, see the short 4D film and visit the shop, there is not much to do. The outdoor play area is obviously weather dependent. I just felt it was a little disappointing that the tour was over so quickly.
Had a fantastic day at Cadbury World as "big kids" for the day.Great fun attractions. All mixed in with glorious rich history of the Cadbury family.Staff friendly and welcoming...a special shout for Rob who was on the photo collection point...very helpful top man!! Well done all of you👍😁
Easy to find from Birmingham City centre. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very clean everywhere. Not sure how people spend 4 hours here as we did it all in under 3 hours and took our time with displays etc. The various sections are well laid out and theres lots of information and fun things to do.I think the way they just hand you several bars of chocolate at the beginning is a bit odd and would more fun to collect on way round. I cant say that i think this attraction is value for money. For the amount of time spent there I think it is way overpriced.
The tour is well organised and your group will get to try everything worrying about being first through each door. Playground is great for kids of all ages. I would recommend eating outside rather than in the cafe for value for money.Get an early tour time and its a decent half day.
A fantastic day out.Took our 3 and 1/2 year old for the day and there was lots to do! Shows for entertainment after the initial walk through/self guided tour were fabulous and very interactive.During the tour there is lots to see, do, and get involved with. All ages are catered for... if you enjoy cadburys chocolate its a must do day out!Staff were always polite and helpful and friendly to approach no matter who we spoke to... a real credit to the place! We had food in the cafe, this was delicious, well prepared, and the lady who served us again went above and beyond. It is a bit pricey for food however it is to be expected at places like this. Portions were generous and overall quality of food was tasty, fresh and came out piping hot!Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will return again in the future.
Really great day out!! So much to see and do and we all loved it!The tour was brilliant too and so much to see and do!!Really good day out and would recommend. 👍🏻👍🏻💜💜.
I loved this place. It was so well done and the tour was informative. It had alot of information packed in but in small bits at a time. Info was hands on. We received free chocolate and tasters. We also had lunch at the cafe there which was also good.
Kids absolutely loved it!!! So much fun. Cant recommend enough for families to go to. Chocolate making was brill, lots of free chocolate to take as well as a massive chocolate shop. Reasonable pricing as well.
Nice day out with the kids, at first it looks like you are lost since you drive to the factory. The whole experience was good, and we got lots of chocolate for free as well. The main let down was the restaurant. Not good at all and the food really basic.
Absolutely love this place. Even more so with its re make. They have re done loads of the walk thrus with some amazing facts. Love the chocolate making. And the whole atmosphere. Play area amazing tour is a blast.
Ordered tickets online as you get them cheaper, they’re not cheap but worth it. The 4D cinema experience was excellent well worth the wait, we queued up from the 30 minutes point but got in in about 20 minutes. The playground area was good. The main Cadbury shop had so much chocolate 🍫 which some was cheap, I was like a kid in a sweet shop spent about £23 on chocolate. The timed tour is interesting & informative also everyone gets 3 bars of chocolate at the start. We all enjoyed the day out.
