All that was missing was my dinner jacket. This place has gourmet Argentine food that is really well done and full of flavor. The view is pretty awesome, too. We had just missed the sunset, but were able to eat with the remnants of a gorgeous sky. We started with empanadas, because why not? Then I had the sea bass, and my wife got a wrap. Both were exquisite. Then we followed that with a chocolate brownie. They, of course, make the chocolate in-house. I highly recommend visiting this place.

We were a group of 15 but we were served promptly and food arrived quickly. Our meal included soup and dessert. The soups were exquisite! All the food was absolutely perfect, savory not spicy, and plentiful. We ate on the outdoor porch so we could enjoy being out of the rain but still watch the clouds, and then the hummingbirds and butterflies when it stopped.

Homemade tomato soup and chicken empanada were excellent..especially on a chilly, rainy day.

This place is a must in Monteverde. I had one of the best salads Ive ever eaten. So fresh and delicious with a perfect amount of dressing. Olives, nuts, super tasty tomatoes, big enough for two meals! The empanadas were absolutely out of this world. Ive had empanadas a few times and never really vibed with them...but these were so delicious I never wanted to stop eating them. I tried all 3, carne asada, pollo, and cheese & onion...liked them all but the carne asada was the best one. Also had an entree of chicken with mole and polenta. It was good but lacked a little in the seasoning. More salt please. Also got some truffles to go. Everything was worth eating. A little on the spendier side but totally worth it. Also very friendly service and lovely little poodle called Lolita. Super friendly. Oh, and if you are parched, definitely get a lemonade. It is slushee style, frosty and tart. Highly recommend.

Wir hatten eine unglaublich authentische und informative Choco-Tour. Geführt wurden wir von Bob, der die Schokolade selbst mit aller Leidenschaft herstellt. Man erfährt alles über die Pflanzen, den Herstellungsprozess und darf natürlich auch viel probieren. Wer eine familiäre Tour in kleinem Rahmen möchte, dem können wir diese Tour nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Leckeres Essen, welches man auf einer schönen Terrasse mit Aussicht genießen kann. Als kleines „Schmankerl“ empfehle ich unbedingt die Schokoladenpralinen! :)

We stopped by on a recommendation and were very much looking forward to a tasty lunch and a visit to the bat jungle. Unfortunately, while there was only one other table, we waited nearly 20 minutes before someone came by to take our order — only to find out they didn’t have what we planning to eat. We felt more like a nuisance than customers and left disappointed. Hopefully we are an exception to the rule and your experience is better than ours.

Es un lugar hermoso para ver los mejores atardeceres y probar los deliciosos chocolates atesanales en Monteverde. La atención excelente, su dueña y anfitriona es una mujer de mucho conocimiento y especial atención a sus clientes. Las comidas realizadas con productos frescos y escogidos cuidadosamente. Se pasa y se come riquísimo aquí.

We stopped by for lunch on two days of our trip. They have fruit smoothies which are very refreshing after jungle hiking. The empanadas stole the show for food, DELICIOUS. The meat one even has green olive, hard boiled egg and raisins, which sounds terrible but is delicious together.The chocolateria smells wonderful and we bought some treats to take home. The truffles are excellent! Fair warning though the hot chocolate is for SPICY pepper chocolate, not the whipped creamed winter drink. A fun surprise when I bit into it, I love spice so I would highly recommend this truffle.

We had the best meals (steak, fishof our holiday! And they make their own chocolat, so the dessert was heaven-like and the owner was super-nice: she joined us after the dessert and explained us a lot about the region.

We went for lunch a month ago. We visited Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Preserve, and we were starving after. We spotted this place and at first, we thought they were close. They were just opening up. The hostess and servers were friendly. It has a beautiful view and the menu was interesting. We enjoyed our meals.

My wife and I had the sea bass in cream sauce and it was delicious. Afterwards, we had a chocolate shake and it was very rich and full of high quality chocolate.

With a fenomenal view and tip top service cabure is a resto that is a must visit when in Monteverde. We ordered the cabure salad, the veggie Curry and the chicken fingers for the toddler.Highly recommend to leave some room for the amazing desserts& chocolates.

A MUST restaurant to eat at when visiting Monteverde! Excellent mole and wonderful hand made chocolates from select cacao nibs. Take the chocolate tour and learn from Bob what makes truly delicious chocolates.

Omg the empanadas were some of the best I’ve ever had. Chocolate was made with passion and very delicious. A must when visiting Costa Rica.

Amazing service, great food, and large, diverse menu with an unmatched view

We needed to get away from our hostel kitchen and this was one of the few places in walking distance. Lucky us! We could not have been happier with our meal. We got the chicken mole and the shrimp in coconut curry. Both were amazing, as were the roasted vegetables on the side. Portions were just right (generousafter a long day as was the balcony setting at sunset. And all the staff was very friendly.Would absolutely be going here again if we had more time in Monteverde.

Al llegar el sitio estaba bastante escondido, tubimos que subir una cuesta sin luces. La camarera fue muy amable y simpática. Pedimos 3 wraps, de los cuales 1 de ellos llevaba Chipotle. Preguntamos qué era y nos explicó que era simplemente carne con una salsa de natillas. Cuando empezamos a degustar... ¡era muy picante! Se lo dijimos a la camarera e inmediatamente llamó a la jefa y se acercó a la mesa... se puso bastante furiosa y a la defensiva preguntándonos retóricamente si no sabíamos qué era el Chipotle. Nosotras, muy sorprendidas le dijimos que no teníamos ni idea y la camarera en ningún momento nos dió esa información. Finalmente nos cambió el plato pero... cuando fuimos a pagar... estaba bastante borde e incluso le dimos la Visa para pagar y luego nos la devolvió tirándola encima de la mesa. Sin duda no volveremos más, no lo recomendamos por el trato con la jefa. La camarera nos pidió disculpas, nos sabe mal por ella.

My family and I visited Cabure twice - once for dinner, and then again for the chocolate tour.Dinner was fantastic! Food was great and staff was very friendly.Chocolate tour was an unexpected delight. We learned about the origins of chocolate, how it is made, variations of chocolate, and so much more. Bob was very gracious with his time, and made it an enjoyable experience for the whole family.

Happened upon this place with my husband and in-laws, we all loved our food! Very delicious. Also had a great wine selection and a few local beers for the non wine drinkers. We ended up getting a few truffles for takeaway desert and they are fantastic.

Our group of 14 had dinner here last night. It was my second visit and if it is possible the food was better than ever. The atmosphere and service was perfect as well. We tried two different sea bass dishes (almondine and curryas well as the pollo mole. It is hard to say which one was my favorite - each was uniquely and exquisitely seasoned. The chocolates for dessert were a perfect finale - especially the cardomon truffle. Divine!

I did the chocolate tour here and it was great! We got to taste the chocolate as we went along at all the different stages. Very informative and yummy! This is not your normal chocolate tasting; this is the good stuff.
