It is nice place to relax.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever met in my whole life, I confess knowing that would be hard to get there, and the difficulties that maybe ocur would not be a thing that will motivate most of persons to go there, but I overcome that limitative thoughts and planned to go there, when I arrived I just got there in cabo polonio one of the most beautiful experiences in my life, we can see beauty in every corner of this place, the sand, the twilight when the sun is coming down, the orange sun rays touching your skin, is such a privilege to meet a place like this, I get really emotional when I start to remember the days I had there, really amazing.

One of the best beaches in Uruguay.

Gorgeous park and city. A must to visit in Uruguay. You can either stay on site or do a day trip from Punta del Diablo. The town of Cabo Polonio is developed with many shops and restaurants. Great LTE and wifi. It aint untouched by man but is beautiful. Great place to see sealions.

Cool place, cool ride to get there. Weird stuff, worth seeing

Untouched by progress, Polonio still stands. Very little to no trash, people take care of it. You can surf, fish, swim, take long walks and you get a simple but vibrant night atmosphere during weekends.Try to rent a house, hostels look like Saint Teresas hospital, disgusting. And dont forget to bring cash, lots of it. This place is expensive and only the bus agency and the most expensive bars and inns accept credit card.

This is a place my cousin told me about..all I can say is I want to visit again..its so awsome plus its a place to relax..if you ever want to get off the grid and try a different approach to living go HERE!!

Beautiful place to unplug and relax. The accommodations in Cabo are extremely rustic so if youre the type of person that is used to the all inclusive life, skip Cabo and head straight to Punta del Este. Seriously, theres nothing fancy about Cabo.

Best place in the world

I Was going to spend one night in the Village of Cabo Polonio, but the place is so amazing that i spend three. Amazing People amazing atmosphere, and as for the national park amazing nature and Wild life. One morning i sat on some rocks near the water and two sea lions Swan right by, aswell as many dolfins out In the open water

Dont go to Punta del Este or Punta del Diablo, go here. Especially if you like beaches and not much else. You also see a million sea lions, but they are quite far from the swimmable beach

The best place in uruguay. You can get closer to the mother nature. Sand dunes, Sea and at the end river connection is visible. The village is not having electricity, that will make the night complete dark. Which will bring the milky way clear. A sky full with stars and water with sparkling will create heavenly atmosphere. Hostels are having generator with limited hot water and wifi access. Must visit and could be retired life destination in uruguay.

Well worth the 7km long 4 wheel drive truck ride through the sand dunes to get to this natural beach community. With no power and running water it makes for a unique off the grid experience. Peaceful beautiful beach.

A well protected and organized national park. Surrounded by sand dunes, local culture (food, drinks, music and craftsand the most awesome views at night. A must go in Rocha, Uruguay.

The most beautiful sunset you will ever see

A unique place far away from civilisation. The most amazing sunsets and night sky youve ever experienced. Its worth the hassle of living without comfort for a few days!

Quiet, relaxing, unique in the whole world

Beautiful Spot worth a visit to get the Hippie sense visit the sand dunes and admire the Sea Lions in front of the Light House. I wish I would have stayed one night there to get the feel without the daily tourists.

Lovely town, you have to park your car outside the national park and then go by bus. Busses are going every two hours (11:45, 13:45, 15:45check online! You can also walk and see amazing wildlife.

Interesting access by truck able to negotiate the soft sand tracks. Alternative community, great sea lions.

Amazing place to visit and enjoy. No electricity, but with an amazing atmosphere. If you are a tourist, it is a must, is the place that you have to visit, spending at least one night.

Nice place to relax, far away from the city. Even though most guides say there is no power, pretty much every Hostal/accommodation have their own solar / wind power plant.
