Ca Phe Viet - Vietnamese restaurant in Manchester, United Kingdom
Perfect small vietnamese place with flavors and odors you can find only in Vietnam! Highly recommended.
Best Pho in Manchester
Best pho Ive eaten outside of Vietnam!
Very good pho, unfortunately viet coffee was very weak, watery, not like in Vietnam, desert was great. Will surely come back.
Very nice authentic food. The banh mi was so nice we ordered a another to share. Nice friendly atmosphere. They explained some of the ingredients to us and made recommendations. My new place to recommend to friends.
Amazing. The best pho in uk probably.
This place really is a hidden gem. My absolute favourite pho in Manchester, in a very competitive market of other great Vietnamese restaurants, all with lots on offer. They have a relatively simple menu, but its all executed fantastically well. The pho bo chin has a deliciously rich and filling broth with beautifully balanced flavours, not too heavy, melt-in-the-mouth beef, and I love the bun bo hue too, which is wonderfully warming, and not too strongly spiced that its overpowering like some places. Ive eaten at most pho places in Manchester, but you couldnt ask for better than Ca Phe Viet. They have great fresh Vietnamese filter coffee too. Ill have to try the banh mi one day as well, which looks to be extremely promising, but the huge bowls of pho are too tempting, particularly on a cold day!I took my grandad who has an unadventurous English palette to say the least, and he thought the pho bo chin was the best thing since sliced bread, and was instantly eager to return. They were rushed off their feet (testiment to their popularityand we had a short wait to get a table, but everyone who served us was friendly, chatty and helpful (our waitress showed my grandad how best to drink the coffee). They made sure we enjoyed our meal, despite them having to run around like headless chickens. The food came very quickly within 5-10 minutes. Its a shame theyre only open until 5:30, but I can forgive them because its a small, family run café and they work incredibly hard, which is much appreciated. Very very reasonably priced too.Thank you so much!
I cannot complain - it was not bad at all but neither memorable or exceptionally good. Would I go back again? YES - I probably would.Staff were busy as usual, but not rude in anyway. Food quality was better than just good. Broth for the beef Pho was really flavourful - not your packet stuff here, tasted like it was made slowly over a few hours.5 of us ate and bill came to £65ish - not bad at all. Will be back again to try some other dishes. Should you try this out - DEFINITELY you should. Dont waste your time on chain noodle places.
Grilled pork with vermicelli was good. Their beef brisket pho (didnt take a foto of it:(is better than the raw beef one. Value for money
What a hidden gem! Beautiful food and a lovely homely atmosphere. We will be definitely going again.
Absolutely stunning. The pho has lovely aroma and tastes really light but busting with flavour. Its tasty and filling. This is a really good place to try Vietnamese food if you never had because it really delivers.Stir fry beef noodles also very good and has nice flavours.Customer service very very good and the woman is very kind. Same goes to the gentleman who took our order. Its busy yes but thats not surprising. Its worth the wait.
Good service. Filling tasty Pho dish and spring rolls.
Top place to check quality food which feels authentic I cant judge much on that 😅 they have shop too, which is interesting concept as shop is surrounding eating are 👌
The best Vietnam restaurant in Man. We had lunch on Sat at around 13:00 and luckily there’s no long queue. Yeah!!!We ordered Pho with rare beef, pork spring roll and classic baguette (Banh Mi). Everything was great, lovely and delicious! We love the pork spring roll most, it was crispy, juicy!! Served with a chill garlic sauce, the sauce was sweet, chilly and little sour. Really fresh and match with the spring roll. Don’t miss it… highly recommend!!!!The classic baguette with pork belly, pork roll, cucumber, pickled carrots…Yummy!!Pho was excellent too, I love it!!!!!!
Excellent vietnamese food, very quick to be seated and served, I highly recommend
Just a lovely local place.Pho is good. please get one with the "Shin of meat". Its not shin anymore, more of a flank but its sooo good and balanced.Their rare steak is actually rare. I still think the shin meat is better. The summer rolls were very nice, well balanced, not over stuffed with noodles or anything. The owner and the family is super nice. dont be afraid to say hi to them!
One of two Vietnamese restaurants on Oldham Road. Although at first sight it appears to be tiny inside, there is actually a dining room to the right, in between the entrance and the next door Vietnamese supermarket. This is no-nonsense dining with a small menu of quality items including various types of Pho, Banh Mi, and spring rolls. Service is prompt and efficient. Tasty food in large portions. Recommended.
Delicious! Was just walking by after having a massage nearby and decided to pop in for breakfast. The pho was so tasty, fresh and full of flavour. Staff were all super lovely too. Can’t wait to come back!
Fantastic Vietnamese spot in Manchester . The best pho Ive ever had , the depth of flavour was amazing and the portion size was huge - great value for money. My boyfriend had the bun noodle salad which was equally as tasty. We also shared a portion of summer rolls. One of the best meals Ive had in a long time and will be back soon!
Me and my wife go here often for the soup/broth very nice, plus the spring rolls are well nice
Came across this small restaurant with a joining Vietnamese shop. I had the Vegan pho with moch chicken and tofu. This was the beat vegan broth Ive had, so muxh flavour. If you like pho and arent shy of a large portion then get yourself down to this great little place
Great cafe..restaurant. good service.. but avoid Sunday as it was too busy and you might have to queue outside.
I can’t recommend it enough. You can order anything you fancy. Everything tastes perfect. Spring rolls, coffee, stir fry.
Delicious starters (summer rollswith tasty dips. Authentic place and good range of Vietnamese products. Pho was tasty and Vietnamese coffee was good.
Missed Vietnamese food so much....had grilled pork rice noodle with spring roll and pho with rare beef. Delicious food and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Good tasty food. Pho and summer rolls and strong coffee! What not to like!Service a bit slow on the day...and maybe a service preference to old customers??
Brilliant. Really enjoyed the food and felt very welcome when just popping in for a quick bite. Can park just around the corner too. This place deserves to do well.
This place was top rated for their Pho so I decided to check it out and I wasnt disappointed. Pho was really good, original taste and served professionally. I had the one with beef and raw beef and I would definitely recommend tasting it. Chopsticks and spoon, spices and additional sides were put on the table. Staff was very kind. Possible to pay with contactless. Recommended
I personally think it one of the best if not the best Vietnamese in ManchesterBoth a little cafe and grocery store, family run businessThe bbq pork bahn mi is super delicious and the crispy viet rolls are da bomb!!!Definitely worth a try if your in around town just off Oldham road opposite wing yip supermarket
Really tasty vegan pho. The veggie menu is a bit hidden as you have to ask for it, but its delicious. Options of tofu or vegan chicken.Washed it down with a nice glass of soy milk. Delicious.
Fourth visit and definitely not my last.Best Banh Mi in the UK so far. On par with the Banh Mi I’ve had in Vietnam.Good simple veggie options, lovely spring rolls and tasty cold coffee!Service is good and has a very at home feel. A hidden gem, make sure to go!
Best Vietnamese restaurant in Manchester, the spring rolls are the best I had in any Asian restaurant and I enjoy coming here a lot, the staff is very nice and friendly, the restaurant is in the middle of a shop so you can do some daily shopping while you eat!
We had our late launch here today. Foods were very tasty and the staffs were very friendly and nice.Basically this is a small restaurant in a Vietnamese shop (or maybe a shop in a restaurant?!).The place is a bit hard to notice, my partner have been here before, and he decided to take me here to try his top 1 Vietnamese spring roll today.- Crispy pork spring roll (3 rolls)As the name, its really crispy! Texture was really good, and the flavor was just great! Spring rolls themselves were chunky, not like some places serve skinny ,tiny and greasy spring rolls. It came with 2 kind of dippings, one I think its Vietnamese sweet chilli sauce, another one I assume its Vietnamese white vinegar with some chill and something else inside, both dipping taste great!- Pork & prawn fried dumplings (4 pc)I was really impressed with the dumplings as they were not greasy at all! They taste light and fresh, you wont even feel guilty while eating them as they are deep fried.I now just realized, I think the sweet chilli sauce dipping was actually for dumpings I think? They taste amazing anyways!!!- Pho with slow cook beefI was impressed with this one as well, the broth was so fresh and light, not too salty not to plain. The beef was oh • my • god! probably was the most tender beef Ive ever had in my life so far. They will also bring you one more long plate with bean sprouts, fresh mint, lemon, and chilli for you to add in your pho by choice. I personally added lemon, chilli and bean sprout.- BBQ pork banh miThe pork itself had really good grilled flavor, and its tender. In between the bread it had some vinegar marinated carrot & raddish, coriander and chill. Also some homemade mayo maybe? Overall it had good flavor and the ingredients were great combination!Overall its a great place, great flavor, and reasonable price with good portion of foods.Id love to visit again in the future, very tasty!
One of the best & authentic places to have a reasonably priced lunches in the city centre. The Pho comes in a bowl big enough to bath in and the coffee is very tasty.Add the fab service and your onto a winner.
One of the most amazing Vietnamese restaurants in the UK!!! Tastes so authentic and makes you crave for more. My partner got the pho bho chin (soup noodlesand I got the bun cha nam (noodles in a sweet sour spicy saucewith pork spring rolls!!Price was reasonable and portion was big!!
Just had late Iunch here and what a little gem, the special pho was really tasty and lots of topping.Banh bi lacked a little flavour for my liking in terms of pick not pickle enough. The trio dessert was great reminded me of Vietnam market ...Comforting!Price was cheap for 2.Would go again and recommend
Hands down the best spring rolls I have ever had! Perfection. Summer rolls are delicious too. Also had wonton soup - comfort in a bowl. The portion was HUGE. Definitely a place I will be coming back to.
I cannot rate this little place highly enough, the best Vietnamese food I have anywhere, including in Vietnam. The pho and the fresh spring rolls are a personal highlight. The service is always excellent and the setting just adds to its charm.
amazing iced coffee and prawn stir fry, i could smell the pho and it looked so good, wished there was a kosher or halal option, not had authentic pho since my trip in Birmingham... if you do it please let me know... i would be there the same day!
This was an amazing little find in Manchester! The food is so refreshing, delicious and authentic! I highly highly highly recommend the Goi Cuon (Paper summer rollsas these are ridiculously delicious and the sauces given with them are fantastic too! They serve authentic Pho which is also wonderful. We also got the Vietnamese coffee and ended up buying the powder they use so we can make our own at home as it was so perfect. Overall a 10/10 restaurant with brilliant food, service and overall experience. Been back multiple times and highly recommend!
Great little authentic vietnamese cafe style place food was really tasty and coffee is great, also sell all your Asian products. All staff really friendly and chatty!
The best place to eat pho 🍲 in Manchester . Great stuff in this place .
I had Pho with rare beef and ice coffee here.1. TastePho is delicious and it tastes like Pho in Vietnam. Coffee is good in general. I highly recommend you guys should try Pho here.2. PriceIt’s reasonable to spend. £10 in total for big big big Pho bowl and super coffee.3. Customer serviceWaiters here are nice, friendly, care and understanding. Well serve !4. ExtraAlso, there is a Vietnamese goceries inside the restaurant where you can buy and try some traditional food and more.I will come back here.HOWEVER....Negative side:It’s a little bit far from centre, but it’s still ok to have a short walk and enjoy amazing Vietnamese cuishine.
Love this place! We visit every time were in Manchester, we cant get authentic vietnamese food where were from, friendly staff, and amazing Pho!
Lovely fresh tasty food.Decent prices. Really authentic place serving as both shop and restaurant.Felt like I was back in Vietnam for an hour or so.#ramblingstampcollectors
Myself and my family visited today and had the most wonderful experience. The pho is amazing and the spring rolls are the very best i have ever had.If you have never tried Vietnamese coffee you have never lived! The staff are amazing; so welcoming and generous. This is the best restaurant you have never visited! A real hidden gem, see you again soon!
Nice food reasonably priced much prefer this place to the commercial chain vietnamese although I am glad that it is getting more popular and available I always come to this place when Im back in manchester nice owners with a authentic vibe
This place is not a restaurant it is more a family run grocery shop and deli. The place is really rustic but I had one of the most authentic bahn mí and pho.Decor is basic and Vietnamese music/soap opera is always on but for what you get and the quality of food you cant really complain. I think it is perfect for a quick and cheap lunch break.Try the Vietnamese coffee: dont be fooled by its sweetness, it is really strong I stayed awake all night🤦🏽♀️.
Please make the journey to come out here, a lovely place and brilliant food. Try the Bahn Mi - excellent, and the pho broth is great. I also recommend the honey and lime iced drink to quench your thirst and satisfy your sweet tooth.
One of the best and most authentic places to have a bowl of pho. Great service and food is amazing. Not much space and gets really busy but worth going!
