CRU Bar and Kitchen in Spanish Town

Its pretty good. Vibe is great for a cru but not for intimate dining with partner. Preferred the drink, pasta tasted weird but the oxtail was ok.

I always have a good time here. The service is good, the food is good, the drinks are good and the prices arent bad. They normally have a dj on the weekends who helps to build a good vibe.

Place was vibeys music 🎶 was good service a little slow but the wait staff made up for it with their pleasantness, best to get a reservation for a weekend visit if you go with a group

I had such a great time here. The food was amazing and my waitress Monay was excellent.

It was way too crowded last Friday & no hostess to assist. We had to sit with some people in the reserved area. The chicken taco was good but the music was very loud which prevented any kind of conversation. The DJ seemed to play what he liked as he focused on lewd & explicit songs that were not edifying. Its a big disappointment for anyone expecting to enjoy good music in an uptown place but getting ghetto songs. So its thumbs down for this place. Its getting 2 stars for the food. We should have gone to East Japanese instead where we could at least danced to good clean music.

I absolutely loved the vibe there and the drinks and wings. I had a Dirty Jess which was life in a glass because I love Prosecco just as much as I love Gin. Next let’s talk about the wing they were juicy and so flavorful and I didn’t have to wait long I mixed my flavors bbq and honey garlic and I love them both but the honey garlic did it for me. And let’s not forget our amazing bartender Sheldon who was just simply put is amazing!!! 10/10 definitely recommend.

The only reason this place didnt get 5 stars was because the service was slightly slow however they was busy. The drinks are amazing the music was even better.

Went there on a Wednesday, the vibe was lit, drinks rocked, food was simple and amazing and the dj kept my head bouncing.

Good vibe on a week night. They were having a private function but we still got to enter and use the facilities. Drinks were ok. Had the henney berry twist and a dirty Jess. Food was served quickly and hot. Food was well cooked.

This rules about Male cannot wear sleeveless attire is so old and out dated. Its 2022 what is the difference when a man or woman wear a sleeveless top? As long as one maintains a casual, yet respectable look. 🙄

It was good but our waitress had a little attitude that was unwarranted at 1st. She seemed to lighten her mood a little bit later that night. So it was somewhat forgiven in the end.The shrimp and bacon tacos though 🤤

First time going to CRU Bar and Kitchen. Was a quiet little rooftop oasis after a long day at work or if u want an intimate evening for yourself and your partner. It has a bar and surrounding that is where diners can eat their scrumptious variety of food they cater to. To tell the truth at first glance at the menu I was a bit disappointed as I expected a wider variety of appetizers, main courses and desserts. I had no high expectations after seeing it so I just ordered a jerk chicken pasta alfredo ( cant go wrong with pasta!And boy did they prove me wrong. Their presentation was surprisingly good, and the taste! Oh lord the taste was way better than expected. I was pleasantly surprised because after seeing the menu I had no Hope of it turning out anything better than basic. Presentation is just as important as taste and CRU did not disappoint on both requirements. Plus the ambiance and decor was aesthetically comforting and pleasing. I only gave 4 stars because as a foodie, I expected a wider variety of dishes. Overall I would definitely go back

Just ordered their oxtail and wings for deliver. Wasnt impressed. Their oxtail were not soft/tender and their wings needed salt. I will give it a 3/5 because it wasnt necessarily disgusting, but if they just tweaked those things I would have enjoyed my meal much better. I wont be returning though.

The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, good vibe, good music, delicious food. Also, want to send love to Kevin who waited on us, we were a confusing group but you handled it like a pro. Will defo be returning

The waistress that served me was very rude. She acted as though we was bothering her rather than doing her job. She had a attitude when being asked questions regarding menu items. Never checked on us was mostly on her phone...we had to constantly called for her attention...i normaly like it there but this experience was not it!!

I always have a good experience here but lets talk about a recent situation. Apparently the prices on the menu need to be updated & nobody told us, even when we were ordering the items that had the wrong price. Anyways when the bill came thats when the waitress said "oh the menu needs to be updated" mind you, this wasnt like a $100 or $200JMD difference, it was a whole $400. I was so annoyed.

Went early, so there wasnt any crowd and the servings were timely. I enjoyed ALL the orders: The soup- the shrimp couldve been seasoned, it was just bland.., the jerk chicken pasta - no complaints, the quesadillas- alright, but not all that.. the cheesecake - couldve eaten dozens! The vegetable salad 👨🏾‍🍳, the nacho w/ cheese and jerk chicken-well done!! Overall experience was awesome! Ate till we almost fell asleep 🤣.. CRU living to high standards, especially out here where some of these overrated restaurants living off their names and not quality

The waiter was professional but the restaurant was very dishonest. They charge me more money on multiple items on my bill than what the price is on the menu. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

The settings is nice for like anytime after 6pm.Before that you will be melting. Its on a roof top and it hot. Food ratings in my honest opinion it was blah! But other wise from that, it have a vibes and big up Sheldon the bartender👍👍 good customer service..

I actually enjoy Cru as a lunch spot during the days, the food is pretty good. We had curried goat and wings. Meals were served about 40mins from the time we ordered, but it was also relatively busy at the time.Ive also visited during peak hours (Friday and Saturday nightsand I must say that the staff does their absolute best to accommodate everyone. Overall good food and good service. Bathrooms are always tidy. Definitely would recommend and will keep going back.The only issue I could point out is that you have to go up a flight of stairs to get inside, and I know of no wheelchair accessible entrance.

A gem! Very good and professional service of the waitress.she knew the menu very well and was aware of what the kitchen still had available at the late hour we came in. Fast service compared to other Jamaican restaurants.the dj played a lovely set of oldies and new R&B. Not too loud either so that we were able to have a conversation and still hear each other.The food was way better than the hyped Usain Bolt restaurant!Covered roof top seating in comfortable lounge style.Drinks were nicely balanced with a nice kick but not overly strong so we could have a second one.Restroom was modern and clean.Will definitely come back again

It was ok...nice hang out spot..meet up have a drink. Serves the purpose! Food is not spectacular but you wont starve. Would recommend but I dont have to go back...

Staff were great and friendly.This place has such an amazing view of the restaurant and the Kingston area.The food was lovely and Id give an A for presentation too.The toilets were do clean and fresh it was unbelievable never seen any this clean in a restaurant.Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend going.Prices are also very reasonable too

Atmosphere was ok ,food was ok , kitten staff missed a part of my order but eventually corrected the situation even though we had to endure a longer wait having to start dinner without a couple of my guests. Definitely needs more servers as the few that was there on such a busy night could hardly monitor the guest properly .a bit costly but so is everything in Jamaica, other than that ,had a good time!!

Poor customer service at its best, I doubt the staff and management care too much about the service that you get. But I am making it known that the place lacks good service. Notwithstanding that the meals arent value for money.

It was large group and they accommodated us in their board room. The waiter was a bit slow to take the order and forgot a few of the orders as well. the food too awhile also. But it was a Saturday night so I guess that is to be expected. The food was delicious though. The curry goat was well seasoned and spicy. The vibe was nice.

Let me tell you about Cru. So I moved here to work remotely and stay on the North Coast and ventured to Kingston. I heard Kingston is busy and hectic and it was the weekend the Royal Family from England was here and during Spring Break. Prices were hiked up and the atmosphere was straight holiday vibes....HOWEVER......CRU BAR is the business. Local, central location l, well priced and a friggin UPSCALE atmosphere. The women are stylish and beautiful , the gentlemen are well dressed and it was a cosmopolitan vibe. The owner is present and touches tables and it was amazing. Their Malbec while not top of the line is not cheap and basic but a beautiful midrange offering. The burger??? Amazing. Well cooked to specification and delicious. It is either a perfect date night or a great place for friends. ENJOY. As someone who travels this is a WORLD travelers dream.SAFE. AFFORDABLE. UPSCALE. QUALITY.

Ambience was nice. I had the wings and the chicken sandwich and they had the exact flavour. I took sweet scotch bonnet wings but it tasted the same as the bbq wings. Whatever they did to the bbq wings is what they did to the chicken in the sandwich. Wasnt expecting that. The sandwich comes with mango coleslaw and I couldnt even taste that. The wings were decent sized however, which I liked and their pasta was great.

Food wasnt very great. But its a nice, cool rooftop area thats nice for a hangout with friends

It was a pretty great place to chill, ambiance was great, my friends and i went there without a reservation because where we were going closed at 9 so I was super happy to see CRU was open late.It was my first time there. Its beautiful, and Im happy to say the food was actually good. I took the jerk chicken alfredo while my friends took the burger and bbq wings.. we tasted each others and we all agreed, food was great.

The service for me was great and pretty fast. We were seated immediately and given menus. The staff was very courteous and took our orders very quickly. We also did not have to wait very long for our meals to arrive. I found the food itself satisfactory, nothing special. The atmosphere was okay as well and they played a wide range of music

Food wasn’t fresh. Had fish and mash potato everything was cold. The good use to be lit here but not sure what’s happening now. You guys should step up the quality because the cost of expensive. The fish I had lacked flavor and tasted old. My GF had lobster and it was cold, hard, never tasted good. She didn’t want seasoned fries and they gave her anyways she requested a change and they didn’t exchange it. Not sure what’s going on but this use to be a really nice place to eat but now don’t think I’m going back. The place seem kinda run down now. 👎

Turned up for my best friends birthday. From we arrived the atmosphere was comfortable.... enjoyable. We couldnt stop rocking in our seats while singing some of the songs being played. The staff were friendly. Our waitress ensured we were happy from beginning to the end. We didnt have to wait long for food at all. And I must say EVERYTHING TASTED GREAT!!! (No I didnt eat the platebut it was almost a possibility. It was a lovely night through and through. No regrets at all.

Ordered BBQ spare ribs, Waited one hour for the food. When it came it was cold and tasted funny. Over all the the customer service was poor they seems to be short staffed.

I really like it here, being able to look up at the sky, the cool air, the music... Really good ambiance. However the mixologist there needs a little work but the staff was really courteous and the food tasted great. So it was a good experience.

Good ambience. Gets cold in the late night. Music not too loud, so conversation is possible. Good place for singles or groups. Food taste was excellent, though colder than expected. Took longer than expected to be served. Not served or offered any water. Service wasnt anything to rave about. Definitely not an inexpensive place. Unless under a canopy, secondhand smoke is a real risk.
