CP Shuckers Cafe & Raw Bar in Virginia Beach

I loved this place. One of the few places still remaining open after peak season. I absolutely loved the she-crab soup and had I not had a 10hr trip home I would have bought some for later. 🤤🤤🤤🤤 The freshest seafood. I look forward to coming back.

Had this delivered. I cant say enough about the food we got. She Crab soup was so lip smacking good! Highly recommended. Of course I try Tuna bites ,blackened done perfect. Sweet potato fries..oh lawd have mercy ,the best ,hands down I ever had. Shrimp have a wonderful flavor .Oyster Rockefeller was on point also. I will be a absolute repeat customer and I do recommended you to try this establishment.

Had lunch, ordered burgers, fries and tots. Id highly recommend the burgers, they were very tasty and prepared just right. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was due to service that I felt could have been faster. Overall Id recommend stopping by, the food was great.

We stopped by CP Shuckers because they had dog-friendly patio seating. They brought our dog a bowl of water along with our drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our food and drinks (probably the best orange crushes we had in the area). I highly recommend them, especially if youre looking for a place to eat with your pup.

Great food. Cool hangout place just a few minutes from the beach. The drunken shrimp was great and had tons of shrimp. I had a burger which was super juicy and delicious. Pretty affordable too.

The food was so tasty!! Drinks were on point. Service was phenomenal! The waitress was busy but still on point. I accidentally left my credit card and one of the managers ran down the street after me to return it!! I was so relieved! Thanks for the great experience :)

We arrived and got a table straight away during dinner time. We got the oysters, clams and mussels. All of which were absolutely delicious and great value! Our server was super helpful too as we were new to eating all of the above.

Very nice place, server was fantastic, always checking on us even though they were very busy. Calamari is great, tuna appetizer was very good except for the excessive amount of pickled onions. Next time I would ask for the pickled onions on the side. I recommend this restaurant.

Just arrived in Virginia Beach- we just passed by CP Shuckers and was greeted so graciously by the valet, then the hostess, then our waitress. The manager checked up on us twice! The service was exceptional and the food was delicious!!We had the neptune platter, fried grouper and the house chips with cheese dip.We loved it and will be back again before we leave!

Nice place. Bartenders were awesome..friendly and accommodating. Oysters were very good.

It was good, but still bar food. She crab soup heavily seasoned with old bay (I liked), and crab cake sandwich (good, not great). Would go again, but only here for a week and would rather try different places.

This place was awesome. All the seafood was fresh. We got oysters and buffalo shrimp as our apps, highly recommend both. 1.5lbs of crab legs each which were soooooo fresh. Staff was great. Drinks were strong. Atmosphere was on point with the good vibes. Go there. I didn’t get a pick of crab legs because I’m a monster and couldn’t wait to eat them.

Fast service, nice waitress. Good value for money and decent food as expected. Will come back when we visit Virginia Beach again.

Very friendly and fast service! Party of 5 seated right away at 7pm on a Sunday night. Waitress was very friendly and attentive, and even gave drink suggestions. Drink selection was good. Food came quick, everything was hot and fresh. Everyone in our party tried a variety of dishes and we were all impressed with how delicious everything was! Crab cake was excellent! After balking at the crazy wait time at 3 other local spots, were glad we landed here for an awesome dinner! Just what we were looking for!

Very much enjoyed dinner. Everything was delicious. I will say that the grouper banh mi was not what I expected. It came on a burger bun, potato I think, instead of a crusty french bread sub roll. Past that everything was absolutely awesome.

We had a wonderful experience for take out. We got the wings and fried Calamari. Which was delicious.So sorry we were unable to sit down and eat there But our pup had the bubble gut so we needed rice and chicken with no seasonings. They were very accommodating and whipped some up for him.Go there and enjoy there awesome food and excellent hospitality.

My husband and I stopped by CP Shuckers for dinner yesterday. We were not acknowledged when we walked in and we stood for a few minutes at the host desk before anyone noticed us/came up. We didn’t end up eating because nothing we asked about was fresh. The waitress told us the crab comes out of a can and that the fish is prepackaged like pretty much everything on their menu. The waitress was really nice about our decision not to eat but we felt that she was rushing us out the door while we were drinking our drinks. I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the food could have been good even though it’s not fresh, we did not try it (giving them the benefit of the doubt). I prefer fresh and quality ingredients.

Our waiter was great! We came during a very busy time but she ensured that our drinks were always topped off and all of our dining needs were met. Coming from Maryland I’m use to old bay being included in any and all seafood dishes. However even without the old bay the seafood dishes were good. The steak was seasoned to perfection. I didn’t even need steak sauce. The atmosphere was very fun, and light. Everyone was friendly and easy to engage with. I really enjoyed my dinner and time here. I highly recommend stopping in for dinner if you’re in the area.

Comfortable seating and great service. The raw oyster is awesome. Their happy hour variety is good too. All in all, one of the best experience in Virginia Beach.

My family and I dined here for lunch yesterday and had an amazing experience! Our waitress was the absolute best! I appreciate the impeccable service. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the sweetest hostess. I appreciate her for making sure our party of eight could sit together at one table. The food and drinks were all delicious and well prepared. We travel quite a bit and this was by far one of the best experiences we’ve had in a while. Thank you all! I look forward to visiting Virginia Beach again soon. Dining here will always be on my list!

Good food, slow service but waitress was very pleasant. Oysters were good, though they had little pea crabs in 70% of them which was a first for me. They explained the crabs were "good luck" but they were off-putting, especially without any explanation/notice.Overall tasty still.

It was a spur of the moment trip to the beach. Me and my family ended up coming to the place. We were very well taken care of to be such a big group. The food was delish. Had the Kamikaze Wrap so fresh and delicious & filling, calamari ( they were cooked just right, not everyone can cook calamari eitherand fries ( seasoned perfectly. Definitely will be returning.

Overall great food - except valet parking only l but luckily theres a parking lot across the street. Shrimp tacos were absolutely amazing! Just make sure if youre sensitive to spice like I am, get it without the sauce. Would highly recommend to anyone!

The atmosphere was beach casual and hopping. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff worked well as a team. The food was good sports bar fare. We had chicken wings, shrimp cocktail, salads and NY strip. It was cooked to expectation and delivered quickly. Quality cocktails as well. Valet service was also personable and efficient.

This place is incredible. This was my first trip to Virginia Beach and my first time at this restaurant/bar. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted and welcomed by the bartender/ part owner Mark. He made the entire experience great. He was very helpful with my choices in meals and my drinks were on point! The seafood was obviously fresh and cooked perfectly but the real surprise was the ny strip. I was not going to get it but after a couple brief comments from Mark i ordered it. It was cooked perfectly snd fork tender. The seasoning was perfect. Everything I had was above expectations. I highly recommend stopping here if youre in the area or just make it a destination. Im already looking forward to my next trip there

Awesome seafood, would return and recommend! Got the seafood platter with raw oysters, clams, shrimp and crab legs and would definitely get again. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

We went on the 4th of July and were able to get a table for 8 at 1800 with no wait. The service was fast and very friendly. I had the crabcake sandwich and sweet potato fries, and both were fantastic! The kids scarfed down the corn dogs as well.

Amazing local place. Hostesses, servers, bartenders, and even the locals are so nice. Its my one place I have to visit each year when in town for a conference. If there Wednesday get the Snow crab special. Otherwise menu is great and fresh.

We came for the happy hour, and it was definitely worth it! Caroline our waitress was helpful, friendly, and efficient! Great service! Excellent food choices! I recommend visiting here, if youre looking for good food and choices! The chips and Cheddar sauce was excellent, and we also enjoyed the steamed shrimp, She Crab soup, and the drink specials! Will definitely be back!

Locale:Situated conveniently at 24 1/2 Street and Pacific Avenue, CP Shuckers does what many Virginia Beach Oceanfront restaurants do best - and that is to find new ways to disappoint!Menu Stuff:Lets begin with the Little Neck Clams. They rock in at the size of a nickel and run about $1.33 apiece. More sand than I could possibly describe. Dear God.The cocktail shrimp appetizer will run you more than the clams. The presentation is on point, but lets be honest that these are average cocktail shrimps balanced on the edge of a very small glass filled with cocktail sauce (which the sauce was definitely on point thanks to Bookbinders). You can get 5x the same shrimp quantity at Harris Teeter just a few blocks up north. Seriously, just go grab the crowd-pleaser at the grocery store and chill at your hotel. Its air-conditioned and probably has something fun on Hulu, and not random sports feeds.Blackened Chicken. This was kind of alright if salt, pepper, dryness and tears were the only ingredients on the planet. I really wanted to like this, but it was so...very... nothing.Condiments:CP Shuckers has a special mayonnaise that can be left out in perpetuity - it actually says so on the label, but It does not taste like mayonnaise. Some tables had malt vinegar, and I wondered why they all did not. I mean, I didnt want malt vinegar per se - but maybe it would have given me something to drink when the waitperson just... forgot... about us.Manners:When Im dining, I dont know about you, but it rubs me the wrong way when one of the managerial staff sidles up and makes an inappropriate comment about who my teen kids should be observing - that is, scantily clad and awkward girls nearby. High score in the Discomfort category here, yall.Bottom Line:Avoid. You deserve better, and on so many levels!

The fish in the fish tacos melts in your mouth, and the tuna poke appetizer is fresh and fantastic. And they were super friendly to our fur babies. Even brought them a bowl of water! Service was also fast and friendly. Overall a great experience.

Super pet friendly and amazing fresh food. This is the first place I’ve been in a long time where the shrimp were so fresh I had to skin them! Attached photo of our Tuna Poke appetizer. Worth every penny.

Wow! Food was 100% fantastic....crab legs didnt need to be dipped in butter, sooooo tasty. Bahn-mi..fried grouper sandwich was amazing. Calimari was very light, didnt taste just batter. Our waitress Lila was attentive friendly and super.

I’m not a seafood person so I was hesitant to visit but my family likes it so we went. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of food offered. Better yet, this has been the best food I’ve had in the area. Great drink menu as well. Add the great service and attention from all the staff, not just the waitress, and the cool decor inside and you’ve got a place I’d definitely recommend!

Best meal we had in VA beach! Everything was so good, fresh, and hot!

Slow service but fast food? Not really sure how that worked. Food was came out so quick that our two appetizers and our dinner all came out at the same time. Food was not hot and every sauce was tipped over on each plate. Before our meal and after our meal food constantly came to our table that we did not order and we kept having to send her to other tables. Really didn’t lend to a good meal like conversation. Lastly, we waited for over ten minutes for the check once we asked for it. For reference that was longer than it took for the food to come out. For a $100 meal before the busy season kicks off… meah.

FAVORITE BEACH SPOT!!!Food is awesome,staff is so nice.I fell in love a few years back when I discovered that they did free Thanksgiving dinners. ( Not sure if they still do)I went for it on more than one holiday, and the food was still very good.

Stopped here twice last week while vacationing and both visits were phenomenal. Fantastic food, great drinks and the wait staff was without a doubt as good as any that we’ve ever seen! Hats off to all, this is how to operate a good business 👍🏼

AWESOME....best peel and eat shrimp in Virginia Beach hands down. Fried shrimp was pretty spectacular too! Server on top of her game. Owner stopped by the table to check on us. Hostess with the mostess.

Went there on our last night in VB. Service was great and the Neptune platter we got was fantastic! They didn’t rush us even though we had a fussy kid and everyone left but I stayed back to finish. Will definitely go back!edit to add: place is clean, the staff was attentive. My son ordered the fish taco and we were all surprised at how large the portion was. It was no fish crumbs or little chunk it was two good size fish on top of the taco. He was full just eating one of them but after putting on some hot sauce he had to finish the other one. OH and the kid menu- grilled chicken and broccoli, it was not a small portion either my daughter loves her veggies but the side of broccoli was large too. Over all large portions for the prices but soo worth it! If youre in the area you have to stop by!

Our waitress Natalie, awesome job. She deserves a raise and shes beautiful. Also Crab cake was on point. Steak bites were delicious. Egg rolls delicious. Orange crush drinks OMG. Friendly environment. Security is cool. No issues. TVs and Music a nice vibe. Just an enjoyable night. If you go there ask for Natalie she is amazing and will never forget about you. Recommended by the locals as we were seeking for a decent sea food restaurant. The food was great and the service was great too. Manager of the store came by and ensure we had everything we needed. The price was reasonable for the meal we ordered.

Great food. Had the wings, crab cake sandwich and fish and chips. Service was awesome. Dan Hot wings were not too hot so dont be afraid because they tasted really good.

If you’re looking for good food and good vibes, to be treated like a local, this is the spot. The fish tacos are a definite go. 2 tacos; a side is not necessary. Ask Andrew to make you the margarita!! 🤤 the shrimp and crab legs are a must. Every dollar spent is worth it. Mark; the owner, is awesome and welcoming as well. The bartenders work really hard and should be compensated as such. If you don’t have the funds to tip then don’t go.

Fresh delicious seafood very close to the beach. I got the oysters Rockefeller which were tasty. The grouper bánh mì was amazing! It had a nice balance of flavors with the fish perfectly cooked. The Cajun shrimp and sausage pasta was also delicious. Definitely worth a stop!

Seafood restaurant with a sports bar feel to the inside. Their booths have individual TVs They also have outdoor seating. The service was fast and the food was really good. Their fried are seasoned with Old Bay seasoning and they were delicious! Also enjoyed the Osyters Rockefeller and the steak bites!

We loved having lunch here. Absolutely great food, very friendly and fast service, and very welcoming to our Silky Terrier Henry. The crab soup was good, and I recommend the blackened tuna sandwich as well. The atmosphere is pleasant; we felt welcomed and right at home, and the staff is friendly and easy to talk with. (By the way, there is more to the tuna sandwich than you see posted...I just asked for it to be served plain).
