Exuberantly-decorated dining room serving light & bright Peruvian dishes, with adjacent pisco bar.
Delicious Peruvian cuisine and best pisco sours in London. Thanks to Luis, Mario and their GM - Simone for looking after us.
An excellent restaurant with great ambience. Very friendly waiters and bartenders that make some of the best cocktails. The food is authentic. I enjoyed all the dishes. We got the waiter to suggest and bring on dishes will we could eat no more. The wine list was moderate but at least they did have several good wines. Definitely a good place to visit for a business or romantic meal. A stone’s throw away from Bank station, in the heart of the city of London
We are from Amsterdam and had diner on a fridaynight. We had a fantastic time! The cocktails, foood, ambiance…. Everything was amazing!
Pricey restaurant with excellent peruvian food. Great 🍷.The service there is also great.
Regretfully, the service was substandard, and the drinks took extremely long to arrive at our table.I wouldnt go back.
Great ceviche & sashimi, however I’d skip the skewers. Lively atmosphere
The food and the wine were very good, but a bit overpriced, given the size of the portions.
After being a regular customer at the flagship coya location and experiencing wonderful dinners we decided to show friends some of our native cuisine. The food was nicely presented but served disjointedly and the host of the dinner party had to wait for over 20 minutes after the rest of the food was served to receive her meal. The food was nice and avoided harsh national pride biased scrutiny due to its ‘fusion’ nature (not enough citrus in the ceviche and the pisco sours being very sweet)The birthday party were a bit upset at the host not receiving her meal in time and asked to see the manager. The waitress was a little terse for the rest of the service and said that the managers did not consider it an issue and would not offer compensation. The dessert menu lacked any national flair and appeal. We did order one churros, it was delicious and presented with a birthday candle - a saving grace.Unfortunately this was lost as soon as each party arrived home - immediate food poisoning most likely due to cross contamination of foods by a preformed toxin via other foods or poor hygiene in the kitchen. As a table of 4 doctors + 1 we do not recommend this location to anyone and will not be bringing friends again. I would like to ask for there to be an investigation into the solomillo the salmon and the ceviche and we are hopeful that the food poisoning will be short lived and that no one else experiences it.
Everything is fine, but the menu has less options than the other Coya restaurants have, some classic dishes aren’t on the menu.
TLDR: guacamole, ceviches and Arroz Nikei are excellent. Go for these.Really great decor and enjoyable service. The guacamole was made right at our table in a stone bowl and was probably the best Ive ever had. The selection of ceviches was amazing, I definitely recommend this. Beef tataki was okay - but they used truffles with literally no taste... Arroz Nikei was delicious. Bife de Ancho was alright, though Id go for other choice if I were to choose again. One star taken cause for the prices they have I would expect everything to be excellent, not just many things.
Excellent lunch. The food and drinks are delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, almost like a film set. Great service. I must return for a good night out and try more cocktails and food.
Great food, great atmosphere, great for a cosy dinner date. Very accommodating as I was running a bit late so that was very much appreciated. And the service was excellent
I think I had some expectations it would be decent, but oh my word it was bad. So pretentious and overpriced Im quite amazed at its reputation! When ordering on a Wednesday night 4 out of 10 dishes we ordered were out of stock, but we were only told about 1 of these at the start, the others drifted in over about 15 minutes while we tried to pick something else each time. 1 of our 3 chosen cocktails was also out of stock. If this has been the day after brexit I would have understood, but sadly this was June 2022.Out of the food that we did order, our starter nibble came after the main courses as they forgot (despite us reminding them 3x). Our ribs were stone cold, and our patatas bravas tasted more of charcoal covered in sauce than of anything resembling a potato. The service was mostly attentive, though it was hard to hear anything they said as they spoke quietly whilst the disco music played. At least our water was kept topped up.Overall I want to think Im being harsh, with the privilege of eating hundreds of high end meals, but Im really not. I wouldnt recommend this to an enemy as its just overpriced pretentious bad food. Avoid!
5 stars are not enough to describe the experience we had. The setup, the food, the music, absolutely amazing.Chris, responsible for our service a true professional.
The food was very good (albeit overpriced for such small portionshowever, the staff would not allow us to decorate the table for our friends 40th birthday, nor would they let us eat the birthday cake that we bought because of "cross contamination". The "Special" cocktail was boring and lacked any kind of appeal and service charge was off the charts expensive. Overall very disappointed. Stuffy management who told us quietly how inappropriate it was bringing a birthday cake to the restaurant. Will never return.
PLEASE DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANTSo a friend of mine had to work in there and it was the worst experience ever. They were speaking behind his back in Italian thinking that he wouldn’t understand they spoke to him as if he was superior to him making him do all the work that they weren’t bothered to do, as it was in the hottest day recorded in history. The worst thing is that they got away with it and put a bad review on him which led him to loose his other job. The way i described it, is nothing compare to the way it happened if you only knew how bad it was it would break anyones heart.
A beautiful place, lovely staff and excellent food. Ive been to Coya a few times and would say anything you order you cannot go wrong with. The chicken kebabs are super juicy, all the ceviches are so fresh. If you can decide on which on, go for the sampler to get a mix. I had a spicy margarita, which was excellent. Definitely recommend Coya!
Popped in here for a drink and some food at the bar. Drinks and cocktails were excellent but the food was just okay and expensive. £15 for freshly made gauc consisting of one avocado is just ridiculous no matter no tasty it was. Also I hated the gimmick of having the server make it at your table. Perhaps thats the city for you.
Once again, 5 star food, service, drinks, ambiance. We love Coya, everything was delicious, with the miso mushroom skewers and the sea bass making a particularly spectacular impression. Truly friendly and professional table service also noteworthy. Will happily eat here again.
Great service, great food, great ambience. We had the £80 taster menu and literally noone made it to dessert. We were absolutely stuffed with rich flavours and tastes. Would thoroughly recommend 👌🏼
This restaurant is so nice!We had just got back from Peru a few weeks ago and we’re missing the Pisco Sours - so wanted a little moment of going back to Peru.It did not disappoint! The service here is excellent and the food just brilliant. It’s worth having the guacamole starter option just to see it prepared fresh at your table. We probably ordered too much with 4 starters and 2 mains, we could have shared just 1 main but it’s a tempting menu and one we really enjoyed.Thank you for a really lovely evening :)
We visited Coya for dinner a few weeks ago and were really pleased to be given a table considering we hadnt booked. The space is absolutely stunning and the staff were very friendly. However, as the evening progressed we noticed a bit of an attitude shift from the staff. There were a couple next to us who were clearly favourites, and the manager spent a long time sitting and chatting to them. Meanwhile whenever we asked for anything, it was very hard to get our waiters attention and we felt a bit like an inconvenience. At one point I had my foot out of my shoe, and the manager quickly swooped in and whispered in my ear telling me to put my shoes on. At least I could finally get a drinks order in!The food was average at best and took a long time to be delivered. Towards the end of the meal we were considering purchasing cocktails, but by that point we felt so unwelcome we decided to opt for another bar. We actually asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, which they did without question and with no follow up from the manager.Considering this was a £250+ meal, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the experience. Myself and my partner are both in our twenties, which may have contributed to the lack of care from staff, though Id like to think they wouldnt be so quick to presume we could not afford to be there. Going forward, I will be taking my custom to more welcoming establishments.
Had a great experience. Davide was excellent, attending to all our needs and making perfect recommendations to our taste. The sea bass was lovely, cooked perfectly and the rice it came with was seasoned nicely. The beef skewers were also very tender, melt in your mouth. Would definitely recommend COYA!
The food, service and drinks were excellent. We ended up just having lots of starters rather than any mains. And even went back for more of the calamari and pulled pork bao buns
Top food, top service, top staff, top atmosphere. 5 stars are not enough.
We had a table for two booked for 18:30. At 19:40 oclock the waiter came to inform us that they needed the table at 20:00 oclock and if they could move us to the bar. We were still waiting for one of our dishes and had not had the chance to even look at the desserts. I asked him why so early and he just shrugged it is all about business I then retorted that except this there is also such thing as customer satisfaction. He just moved away. The last of the dishes came shortly after he went away. He then came back 10 minutes later to tell us that the table was no longer needed so we could stay! Phew, as this gave us a chance to order a dessert...His attitude was also excessively familiar, which I disliked. I also asked for the tasting menu that is clearly listed on your web side and was told This is Mayfair.A rather disappointing experience and disrespectful service despite the good food, albeit at very high premium. Certainly did not feel welcome.
Celebrated my birthday at Coya - The ceviche was amazing and the patatas bravas. However I was told by the waiter that they had an extra delicious starter on the menu called “fried lobster”. When the dish arrived I immediately said “this is empanadas which I unfortunately don’t like at all”. I don’t know how but I still ended up having to pay 14£ extra for a dish that was misdescribed to be and I didn’t even touch or eat. Was quite disappointed about this because everything else about this place is great.
This was a lovely experience for an afternoon with a longtime friend.Busy and buzzing during the lunch hour. A lovely ambience, I was a little bit put off that the kitchen closes at 2.45, so we were rushed to make our order, so whilat we were catching up on a late Thursday afternoon the experience felt slightly rushed .Would like to visit again when we have the freedom to enjoy.Food was tasty, the kale salad was refreshing and so tasty

Great restaurant! Food was awesome and also the service!
Great service and wonderful premises. The food is delightful and theres a fantastic wine menu. The lunch menu is perfect. Use the starters between two/three and share the various items to try a bit of everything - thats my tip.
Really great food and service. We went for the tasting menu which is £70 pp but well worth it and we were very satisfied with the selection and amount of food. The chicken skewer was disappointing but everything else was great. The ceviche is amazing and so was the cod. Recommend but the angel court location does need a little spruce up.
Excellent food. Got a couple of small plates to share. Would highly recommend the Cerdo Bao and the crab. Social distancing was good with spaced out tables and good service.
Amazing food and service! Had a great time and would definitely come back.
Service was a bit slow, but that may have been their intent. The food came out really slow also but it the restaurant was very busy. Some of the food was amazing and some was just okay. I really appreciated the food was different than I have had any place else.
Food was excellent, one of the best Peruvian restaurants Ive been to, but service was a bit lacking. They could really improve the service.
The food is amazing! The atmosphere very pleasant. Plus live music at the bar!
It is such a special place; the interior, the food and the service. There are so many interesting choices for cocktails. I had something called Edison. It is light and very refreshing with cucumbers and pineapples. Food wise, It is brillant for vegetarians or pescatarian as there are options for all preferences. My favourite are salmon tacos and grilled octopus ( polpo something). Tuna ceviche is so good as well ( the dressing are kind of mild kimchi juice . I am very impressed with the taste of asian In the dish. Every dish are so special and unique in flavour. I love all dishes. Dessert is nice but not as much as the food
Excellent menu, ranging from fresh cerviche to amazing lamb chops and ribs. Great atmosphere and service
Great meeting place for friends working in the City. Love the outside with the heaters during the cold season. Inside is always exciting with great live music. I love the food and service too. Thank you Francesco for being so hospitable and for our gorgeous cocktail.
1.Cutlery dirty.2. Requested soft shell crab taco at 845pm on Saturday, they had ran out of it.3. Iron pot sea bass order was served with another dish but replaced4. Think the background music could be better to set a Peruvian mood.Overall, dont feel the price I paid was worth the experience.
This cosy little restaurant presents the best Peruvian restaurant this side of London. Just a few yards from the hustle and bustle, COYA serves up beautiful deliciousness for a moderate price, affordable for its neighborhood. We had the yellowfin tuna sashimi with a delicious creamy sauce that complimented the pickled garnish very well. The star for me was the beef tataki, served with some peanut butter droplets and crispy pieces that provided some awesome texture to the dish.Tamarind glazed pork ribs were good but were a little less fleshy and a little less tender than we expected them to be. The ground peanuts were a nice touch though. The sea bream was awesome, smoked in a very similar way as the "tinapa" in the Philippines, lying on a bed of soft pink fir potatoes. Great way to polish off our lunch. The service was very good, although the staff tend to hover around a little too much, distracting from the conversation. All in all, would recommend this resto if you need a good place for a lunch date or a quick catch up with friends. Great job COYA!
Where do I begin..we arrived at Coya in time for our reservation. There was no host and we stood there ignored by other staff for around 10 minutes before the host finally arrived. She looked rushed, but was apologetic and friendly so we understood that she was probably very busy. We were then escorted to wait at the bar because our table wasnt free yet. We ordered some drinks which we enjoyed. Finally, after another 10-15 minutes we were taken to our table. Once we were seated and looked through the menu it took almost 20-25 minutes for someone to finally approach our table and take the order. They also offered us water and we ordered still. My partner ordered the octopus dish for a starter but without the chorizo, emphasising that she does not eat pork. They confirmed to us that the chorizo could be removed. We then waited for almost 30 minutes for our food. Finally my cold starter arrived, however, the octopus dish still wasnt there. When the octopus dish arrived another 10 minutes later of course it had the chorizo in it. We asked them to make a new one which they agreed to but that obviously delayed our mains even further. The water, which was ordered now around 40 minutes ago still wasnt there either. We asked the waiter again if they could bring us the water. Finally, the octopus dish without the pork arrived but still no water. My partner saw a manager or someone of higher position on the floor talking to one of the waiters who has been serving us, so she went there herself and now asked the manager if we could have some water. The waiter heard her and said oh yes, I remember and went to get the water. Finally after waiting for almost an hour we received a bottle of water, which came without any lid or cap and was not filled up to the neck, and when we tasted it it only confirmed the suspicion that it was tap water and not still like we asked. We decided to let that slide as we were so thirsty at this point we could have drunk anything. In total we waited for 1.5 hours to receive our mains, if not longer. By this point all we wanted to do was to get out of there and go home, as weve been sitting there for what felt like the eternity watching others eat their food. When we finished our mains and asked for the bill, the waiter decided to finally acknowledge the disaster that our evening has been and offered us a sticky toffee pudding as an apology, however, said we would have to wait for 10 minutes for it. We accepted the offer, however, I asked them if I could have ice cream instead, as I wanted something lighter and my partner would have the pudding. He brought us the ice cream, and we assumed that my partners pudding was being prepared. After 15 minutes I decided to check with the waiter where the pudding was to which he replied sorry but I gave you the ice cream instead, you told me you didnt want the pudding. I simply asked him so did you mean that we only get one desert to share between the two of us he mumbled something, and as I did not have any energy to argue, I said thats fine just bring us the bill. He did not try to offer the pudding again. Finally the bill arrived and this had 2 glasses of white wine on it, which we never had, as we both had cocktails at the bar. I called over the waiter and showed him the mistake, and he took those off the bill. They also tried to charge us £3.50 for that bottle of tap water that we had to ask for 3 times. I explained to him that I am not paying for the water that we had to wait for more than an hour for, and he also took that off the bill. No further apology or discount was offered, the manager did not approach us at any point. In the end we left after being there for 2 hours, feeling very disappointed with our evening. We could tell that they were busy and probably understaffed, and while I understand that these things can happen when you dont have enough staff on the floor, I feel like they could have handled this much better, and perhaps the manager could have jumped in and helped their staff on the floor, however, that did not happen.
Beautiful food. Second time around was still superb. Friendly attentive staff. The food is prepared to perfection presented well and so tasty. Pisco sours went down a treat. The octopus was just to die for. Spicy filet and the ribeye on the Coles simply divine. Churros were insanely good. Every dish a little celebration. It is on the pricier side but well worth it.
Amazing Peruvian food with a global twist - just 100 yards from Bank. Lovely decor too.Exquisite flavours but very easy to spend a lot of money here. If you can afford it, then go for it - it’s worth it. Staff are very friendly yet professional.Quite noisy and the tables feel a little too close together. Amazing for socialising but not for a romantic evening.
Food and service were fantastic - only minor point was the furniture bizarrely! The tables for 2 guests are quite small considering the sharing concept of the menu, also quite tightly packed in meaning the waiters are unavoidably brushing past guests to serve other tables. Other than this, superb and well worth a visit if you fancy trying something different!
This is a very nice stylish restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is tasty and I dont like spicy so all these meals the mushrooms, tiger prawns, corn salad and the beef with mushroom was very yummy. As you see that meal would be enough for 3 people or maybe even 4 if you have some sides with it. The chocolate fondant with almond ice cream was yummy too.
We visited Coya for a 30th birthday celebration and loved the interiors and the top notch service received from the moment we walked in. The small plates were delicious and would suggest 2 per person. The ribs main was a real crowd pleaser! Dont forget to couple up your dining with their variety of Piscos, it was SO good!
Amazing food, great wine and cocktails, waitresses were very attentive and veey helpful. Always has a smile on their face! Totally recommended
Very delicious Peruvian food. Love the tapas style so you can try a bit of everything. Also the food is visually appealing and quite healthy too. Decor is nice and service is good.
