Stylish, modern chain dining room with Pan-Asian cooking stations and global banquet options.
Very nice experience. Always bring friends there when they come to the UK to visit me.
Went there on 26th October for dinner warm welcome food was coming fresh everything was good. Since I saw the lady who was doing the top ups on dishes dropped some food on the floor picked up and wipe the floor with hands ( blue gloves onand without changing or throwing her gloves away she was touching the other food she defiantly need a course of food handling and especially the health & safety. Didn’t knew that this is acceptable! for them there otherwise wouldn’t have been there!.
The perfect foods with to much variety that was provided . Staff were really friendly and polite so I will come back soon.
Two things to note:1. The amount of fizz in the soft drinks is incredibly high2. This is the only restaurant I know of where the "optional service charge" is automatically added on to the card terminal.
Would be nice to put a notice on the outside door to say you were full rather than make people wait for 25 minutes in a queue to then be told! We even asked a staff member while in the queue if you had to book and was told no!
Nice selection of different foods would of been nicer if the food was hotter and not just warm I think they need a few more candles under the food pots . There were no fruit bowls and no spoons and I was given a little flat cake plate for my pudding? Which was useless fo any liquid and no one came to take a drinks order.. food was nice but just not hot enough and it was on cold plates.
Lets be honest about it, if you find yourself in a cosmo then youve already made a bad life choice. There hasnt ever been a time when Ive gone there and thought after "wow, enjoyed that." its just I always get stuck in with folks who really wanna go.
variety is fairly lot but everything only taste normal
Been here before, was great but has gone extremely down hill, staff couldn’t cope with the amount of people, had a table booked and the que was out the door which is understandable for a Saturday night but there was no priority, seemed to let anyone walk to the front of the que and go in, even though we was stuck in the que 20minutes passed our booking time, food was below average, dishes incorrectly labelled, could be bad for people with allergies or religious requirements, had to go to the bar just to get glasses, was there for half hour before any waiters even got near our tables for drinks, had to tell the customers next to us to go to the bar as they were sat waiting for even longer than us, wouldn’t visit again unless major improvements were made.
Went to the buffet in June 2022 for a Birthday Celebration. We went dinner time and there were lots of options to choose from. The buffet gets very busy. I had the idea for the staff to sing Happy Birthday. As it so happened, it seemed like everyone was having a Birthday that day so staff were singing Happy Birthday constantly! :D Overall staff were friendly, and the buffet has a nice atmosphere for a reasonable price given the fact it is in the Centre of Oxford.
It was ok. A bit disappointed that they cleared away the salad bar at 9pm. Also I saw a member of staff carrying out temperature probes, but a lot of the food was warm, not hot.
Food was amazing and so was the drinks, service was a bit slow due to low staffs I’m guessing and it was really packed but overall great.
Birthday treat with friends. Really impressed with quality of food and variety on offer. Thoroughly enjoyed the selection I had. Staff worked hard to clear tables and their cleaning routine between diners was carried out very well and tables and seating areas thoroughly cleaned as well as the floor. Definitely recommended.
Id like to have rated the restaurant at 3.5. I went with a 4 as 3 would have been harsh. The restaurant is buffet style, eat as much as you want for a fixed price in a set period of time. There is a good selection of food; Chinese, Indian, Japanese, carvery, Italian, salad bars, a BBQ style grill, and some miscellaneous bits like chips, chicken wings etc, there is also lots of desert options. There should be something for everyone including a good selection of vegetarian options. The food is of a reasonable quality and is topped up continuously. The staff are polite and friendly, the dirty plates left on the table when you go for your next visit to the buffet magically disappear so you come back to a clean table. Kids are welcome. Unfortunately kids are the reason I knocked half a star of the score. While most kids in Cosmo were well behaved, there was one family celebrating a birthday who were letting their kids run around out of control. The kids were banging into tables, one poor woman nearly ended up face first in her food! Unfortunately the staff did not step in and ask them to behave. Fortunately, customers from several of the nearby tables did... All in all a good place to visit, its not Michelin quality food, but it certainly represents good quality and value for money. Great for a crowd, fussy eaters or people who like to try lots of different things.
After a short queue in we went and were seated immediately, fairly busy in there but Iam sure you will agree - that is always a good sign when eating out. Drinks ordered first and by the time we got back from a food run drinks were already at our table so an efficient service. Food was excellent, plenty to choose from and always filling up near empty trays so never a long wait for a dish. Waitresses very professional and friendly and a big shout out to Jodie who was great with sorting our bill and the double Gin dilemma! Manager was great. Cannot fault this place just the flowing people weaving around you whilst you eat so grab a table that limits that and your set. Will be back thank you Cosmo
Our kids favourite. Great service. Food is fresh and hygiene standards are high. Dumplings and king prawns are amazing.
Serve yourself buffet, good selection of food from different backgrounds. Some specials not always available. Staff attentive and tables kept clear all evening.
Very pleasant indeed. A bit expensive; this business model works so well because they know you cant eat THAT much but hey... Its great to be able to try so many type of cuisine. Happy times!
Excellent food from around the world with great service and friendly staff caters fir all tastes
hello,on 19th august 22, I passted your restaurant, and Im so glad that I enterd. In the beginning I didnt understand the concept, but it was explained to me with pacience. The food was so delicious. I could eat 4 plates, the last one was dessert, of course.Because I am Belgian, I had to tast the Belgian chocolat mousse. And oh my god, it melted in my mouth.I was on table 74 then.so thank you very much for your lots of food choices. Every dish I took was so tasty.greetings from Belgium
Large selection of dishes, with reasonable quality for a buffet. There are different sections, including indian, sushi, sunday roast, asian and special dishes of the day. We really enjoy the place and visit it often!
Great experience at this buffet restaurant. Huge variety of food and good value of money.
Its usually fine, good selection of food but my friend thinks she may have got food poisoning from the prawns or calamari so be warned.
Lost a lot of the shine - Sunday roast, gravy had skin, staff should give it a stir. Fish counter has gone, you can still find some fish, but not as previous. I dont believe the food counters had the same staff numbers, thus food was not refreshed as it was in the past. The cost! 20£ per head plus drinks, bottle of wine and soft drinks for 3 was over 30£ per head (SundayI know its all you can eat - but its no different from a hotel buffet - image going on your summer holiday and paying 30£ per head each evening for a buffet dinner?
Food was good for a buffet style restaurant. Teppanyaki scallops , steak and squid cooked fresh in front was the highlight. Dessert was good and bottomless soft drinks and beers were fair priced. Loses 1 star because it can be very busy and not too comfortable eating with people constantly walking past.
Very good food and very pleased about the staff
Was lovely, the staff sing happy birthday to you and cheer with applause on your special day. Nice flow of food.Downside: had a staff member eyeing up my plate to take away to wash and waited as I had one rib left to eat ... Told him to wait.
Plenty of lovely food. Restaurant seats a lot of people and its very popular so at certain times its very busy but the food is always fresh and loads of it. We went on a saturday evening so very busy, and had to wait to get our drinks order taken but the staff were very friendly. Plates were collected very quickly.
DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISONING and to wait forever ! I had raw PORK DIM SAUM and raw CHICKEN TIKA MASALA . Spoke to Chinese manger on 2 separate occasions both times he brushed it off and said it wasn’t raw . We showed him and he didn’t care , not even a sorry . Ran to the bathroom to puke my guts up and still no SORRY !!! This ‘manager’ was so rude , absolutely no care for customers. And spoke to me in a disgusting way . Actually made me upset and has ruined my night .
Staff were friendly and there was plenty of choice for food, but me and my family found everything to be extremely bland; Apart from the Chinese food which was too salty. The alcoholic drinks were also too expensive.Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to a friend.
Loads of choice, Chinese , Indian, British, Mexican, Sushi all nicely displayed. Staff clear olates as soon as you finish so you can get another plateful. However, one big disappointment was that the food was luke warm, if it was hot it would have been a completely different experience. Another strange thing was in the chinese food section next to noodles and chicken balls were cocktail sausages. Never knew they were part of Chinese cuisine. 😂There is also a part where you can get freshly cooked minute steaks, dont bother they were as tough as old leather, unable to cut with a knife. The pudding area was nice, chocolate fountain, lots of individual cakes like chocolate éclairs andtrifles etc.Would i go back, sadly No.
One of the best buffets I’ve been in England. The staff were really helpful. The food was really fresh and tasty. Options of meat and seafood was very decent compared to some buffet restaurants where you only get very few. The price is very reasonable compared to the selection of food you have. Deserved 5 stars !
Lunched here on Saturday. Gòod selection of food but found most of it luke warm or nearly cold. Did not enjoy the food experience as much as hoped. Then came the bill. £21 per person without drinks! Definately will not eat here again. Better value to be had elewhere.
Dissapointing to be fair, was so looking forward to this re opening as used to love it but was abit of a let down, food was bland and not that warm and the Indian selection was awful the lamb curry was just lamb floating in tomatoes i make a nicer lamb curry at home. Seems like the prices have risen but the food quality has gone right down. The best part was the dessert my daughter loved the chocolate fountain and ice cream the drinks was nice too.
A lot of food options. Love the dessert section!
Love it!! Very nice food!! Great value
Before pandemic there was much more choices in Indians section, food quality has gone lower than before pandemic and unfortunately much more expensive... -_-It would have been nice if they had halal section at least in the Indian cuisine, so I could invite my muslim friends there too.I would give two stars just because the waitresses and the staff are very kind!
Big variety, tasty food..in love with Chinese noodles (wich been 3 typesall super tasty...Dont wear thick clothes when u go dinning there as might get really hot.. We came at opening and then in an hour it got really hot.. 😅Dont know is that spicy food or lots of people in one place.. Maybe both... 😁.. . But all was nice.. Waitresses nice, polite..all staff really nice.. Thank you 🙂
The worst choice we could have made!We have booked a table for a birthday dinner on a Saturday evening to find that you have nothing left to eat! Most of the plates were empty and they would only fill them in after requesting this 5 times! Why would you allow people to book the tables at 8pm if nobody is bothered to cook anymore?Good thing that we were only 8 people instead of 20 as booked originally!Never again!
Very good choice of food and excellent service!
Amazing staff, beautiful and clean ect. Food is as good as buffet gets, the desert bit is fab! Can make your own ice creams and a huge chocolate fountain goes down well with the kids. The buffet trays were constantly being refilled and was a good temperature. Cannot fault at all.Thank you
The staff here are very helpful and polite. There are many different cuisines from all over the world and a nice array of dessert too... including an ice cream machine. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will be visiting again when I can.
We had a great meal,,,Just like a holiday buffet, Eat crazy combinations ,Eat way to much. Its just happy on a plate. My kids loved the desserts, including a chocolate fountain, popcorn machine and serve your own ice cream machine.
It was a very busy Saturday and staff were dealing with a huge number of customers so it took us a while to be seated. We were a group of six and all really enjoyed the Chinese section of the buffet, really diverse and delicious, we also enjoyed the puddings, although my partner who is egg intolerant could not eat a lot of the desserts. Only downside was the Indian, the vegetable curries especially were very lacking with no depth of flavor, although the pakoras were delicious. Overall a very enjoyable evening - but at the premium weekend prices, go hungry to get your moneys worth!
Omg.. All the dishes were soo good. I was soo full because I tried bits of everything except the marshmallows and the chocolate fountain unfortunately. Kudos to the chefs and cooks that make the meals. Perfect amount of spice and beautiful presentation that keeps you coming for more. Cheers for an amazing experience.
We had lunch on Sunday for one of our friend sendoff.1. If you want to try different food this is the best place.2. We had different sea foods.3. Chinese, Thai, Sushai, Indian and some other kind of foods are available.4. Indian is not proper authentic just tried with Indian masalas.5. Dessert have many options.
Went for a meal today based on a friends recommendation and I wasnt disappointed! The restaurant layout is beautifully done, spacious and vibrant...caters for everyone including children, families, parents, grans etcGood selection from Indian, Chinese, English, freshly made (in your presencetasty seafood, desserts, salads, drinks name it😁Waiters were friendly, efficient and helpful...5 star for them 👍If you dont like noisy places perhaps not a place for you however its great value for your money. I would visit again and try other Cosmo outlets 👌👏
Amazing! Fresh, tasty and huge variety of food. All you can eat so you wont be hungry after the visit, and the service is perfect. Highly recommended!
Came here with my husband and my little one. Unfortunately the highchair is just too short small for younger than one year old. The menu was quite vary. The taste is good.
Okay so i walk in and i think wow this place is amazing but then it all went downhill. The food is probably 1 step away from being illegal because of the quality the beef is amost unchewable and the jelly can bounce 6 inches in the air. The roast was awful. Im not one to complain to be honest but this place was pretty bad all they need to do is cook some real food. We had fun eating though because we couldnt stop laughing hahahha.
