Friendly staff, some nice design elements, clean rooms and decent breakfast.Hard pillows, no iron/ironing board, bland lighting, basic tv service (no menu, or apps), a bit noisy from the street and the corridor, so poor sound insulation, burnt bacon at breakfastMore of a 3-star, than 4-star hotel.

The facilities were only surpassed by the excellence of the staff

Cascada Boutique Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Luzern. The hotel is modern, clean, and organized, as was our room. Cascada is also a short walk from the train station, which was convenient. All of the hotel staff, including the front desk receptionists and restaurant servers, were kind, helpful, and efficient. I am glad to have had breakfast included during my stay because Bolero, the hotel’s restaurant, had the best hotel breakfast during our trip to Switzerland. We also had room service from Bolero the evening of our arrival, and dinner was exceptional as well. I highly recommend staying at Cascada when visiting Luzern.

The hotel is near the train station. The staffs are really nice and helpful. The room we lived inside are spacious and comfortable.

Decent hotel, good location near the train station and walkable to most everything. Staff is very friendly and the associated restaurant is fantastic. Hotel itself is a bit old and tired and the rooms are very small, as are the beds.

Got 2 free drinks for putting sign on door not to clean the room.

Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Conveniently located near the train station. Breakfast at restaurant was good. Liked the option for not having our room cleaned to be eco friendly and being rewarded with a free drink voucher at the rest. Overall, no complaints here!

The staff is really courteous and friendly. The location is also good and you can reach the station in 5 min on foot.Rooms are really good specially the Family room which is super convenient for 3 people.Breakfast menu can be better but the taste was upto the mark. If you are in Lucerne, you can stay here.

I have no idea why this hotel was so highly rated. The location is directly across the train station so depending on what room you get, you will be sleeping with the sound of trains screeching all night. The rooms are incredibly small with an outlet on only one side of the bed. The beds are okay. The only plus of the rooms are the big TVs. The hotel is way too overpriced for what it is offering. It has no amenities and apparently used to offer free access to the gym next door but no longer does so.

Mediocrity for an extremely expensive price. Don’t trust the good reviews. Look at the room photos and where the hotel is located. It is right next to the train tracks. In most of the rooms you can hear the shrieking of the trains breaking throughout the day and night. The room is tiny: The size of a closet. The bed is not particularly comfortable and the pillows were so hard - some of the worst I’ve ever slept on. Would never come back here and especially not at that price.

Comfortable hotel, staff helpful and friendly. Room was fine, no balcony however air conditioning was good and bed was comfy. Restaurant was good and so was breakfast. Good location near the train station

The temperature of water in the horrible. It cannot stay but change abruptly. I almost finished shower with cold and hot water without any control. The wifi didn’t work in the room.The hotel offered us a new room upstairs. We had to move there. It was really bothersome to pack again at night, after a long trip to Lucerne, all our belongings from room to room. The room upstairs has low ceilings, and my son banged his head even though he is about 160cm high. The shower upstairs is a bathtub instead and it drains slowly. I really regret that I chose this hotel. I paid 476 CHF per night. It’s a rip off under this quality. Look for another hotel in Lucerne.When we complained about the shower and wifi, the person who took my signature was inside the office. The other two staffs were nice and helpful.—————————I changed the stars of my review, because the hotel (Samueltried his best to care for us. The morning buffet has warm omelets, a variety of jams and homemade yogurts as well as kind staffs.

We stayed at the Cascada for 3 nights during our family trip to Switzerland in May 2022. We had booked a family room - large for our family of 4. Our stay was good overall and we did not have anything to complain about.The location is very accessible from the train station and theres a bus stop around the corner as well. It is a bit of a walk to the centre and the attractions but you are given a Lucerne Travel pass that lets you use the local transport in the city for free for the duration of your stay.We were hoping to have a larger living space as it was called Family room-large but it was two rooms with separate doors and a small common private space from which you enter the rooms. The rooms and bathrooms were rather small but the bedding was clean and super comfortable and the toilets were modern with smart commodes.The breakfast was amazing and there was something for the entire family and the price charged was very reasonable. The Bolero restaurant was top class and a must try.Overall, Cascada is highly recommended and wed consider staying here again if visiting Lucerne.

We stayed at Cascada for only one night but it was great! Friendly people, comfortable bed, delicious iced tea at reception and free bikes you can rent from the hotel directly. Biking is such a fun way to explore Lucerne like the locals, but the city doesnt have very many bike rental spots like Lime or Lyft, and the one brand they do have, doesnt always work. So if you want to bike around, definitely stay at Cascada for this option alone

If you are traveling to Luzern, book this hotel immediately. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. GREAT air conditioning (which was extremely important the week we were there). And the breakfast was amazing. We also took advantage of the parking- you have to pay a little extra but I thought this was reasonable for a big city.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Great location. Rooms were nice, beds were comfortable and they had air conditioning! Even received a free glass of wine on arrival! Breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Lucerne.

Best Experience in Swiss !!! Perfect location. I slept in few hotels in Switzerland but here staff was most kind and helpful. Smile never disappear from their face. It was very nice. Breakfast is very very good. We cant complain. He had once better in Swiss but this was also awesome. Price never is good but compare price and what you obtain It was the best option for us in that time.

Nice, clean, spacious hotel, close to the station (just a few minutes walk). Staff were very friendly and helpful, with lots of knowledge about what to see and how to get around.

Bed and pillows were amazing but staff were not friendly and very unhelpful. Don’t pay overnight parking. Cheaper to pay by the hour at the parking lot across street they send you to. Because of that I would not stay here again and gave them a 4. Was in a great location though.

The rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast was very good and it is very near to the train station. The location is good. Not so busy yet just 5 to 10 mins walk to the old town. They have nice touches such as free drinks, sweets and apples in the lobby for the guests at all times. The service is top notch from the wait staff during breakfast and the receptionists. This is the best hotel we have stayed in Switzerland and it is better than some top brands. The only improvement I hope is that they can provide a small stool in the toilet for families with very young children so that they can wash their hands easily.Stay here and you wont regret it.

LOVE Cascada Hotel in Lucerne! Great rooms, service, water pressure, food, location.... Went in May 2022 and everything was fabulous. And yes, they have elevators. I will look to stay here again if I return to Lucerne.

We stayed at CASCADA Hotel and it was a wonderful experience. Every thing was great but breakfast and customer service was fabulous. Fiona was very helpful. Manager must note, Fiona customer service is great!

My wife and I loved our visit to this hotel. The staff and service were amazing. They took such good care of us, even before we arrived to Lucerne. The hotel is close to downtown, and the train station. Our favorite stay during our trip to Europe.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Cascada boutique hotel. The rooms were modern, cosy and comfortable.They were very kind to gift us a complimentary room upgrade and decorated our room beautifully for our honeymoon. The staff were all friendly and went out of their way for us - e.g. directions, gifting a chocolate as it was my birthday on 1 day during the stay. We also dined at Bolero restaurant and the food was great - fantastic foie gras and sangria! Will definitely return to Cascada on our next trip back to Lucerne.

So far so good. The staff is extremely nice. The airline lost my bag and the staff at Cascada made sure to take care of me while we visited Interlaken. Thank you and we would definitely recommend this hotel for mid range money only a 7 minute walk to the train station and the popular part of the lake.My wife and I did a lot of research before booking the room and it did not disappoint. Try to get a room on the top floor to avoid road noise and to get a view of the mountains!

Amazing gem in Lucerne, would stay again in a heartbeat anytime were in Lucerne. A 5-min. walk from train station but SUPER quiet in the rooms. A 10-min. walk to the old town area. Wonderful staff. Breakfast is included and excellent.

Hotel is OK. Breakfast is a bit underwhelming. Room had cold air coming through the windows, personnel was helpful and friendly and brought an additional duvet and electric heater to help with it.

Cascada Hotel was exceptional. We arrived in the wee hours by bus and the reception staff (Etiennewas super helpful, opening the Lounge for us to rest while we waited for shops to be opened and to check in. All the staff that assisted us (Etienne, Fracheska (not sure if spelled correctly)was super helpful and friendly throughout our stay there. The hotel was walking distance from the train station, provided a good spread of breakfast buffet and the rooms were spacious and stocked with many amenities.If we ever visit Lucerne again, we would definitely choose them again.

Everything was amazing and the service is very quick and kind. I suggest going there with family and friends. The breakfast is exquisite and so is dinner and lunch. My mum is cant have gluten so they provided special things for her. Have a nice day. Bye bye

One of the best hotels I have been the past few years! This was one of our stops when going on our honeymoon to Italy and the staff of the Cascada hotel really made our stay perfect!We were surprised by a nice Honeymoon banner on our door room and in the room we received a nice bottle of champagne and lots of hearts and chocolates! Very thoughtful and a very nice gesture! The room is good and very clean, also the bed is very comfortable and quiet.As a tip to future guests, book at their own website (which is the same price or cheaper than bookingand you will receive various nice extras such as a nice free minibar (which is really nice!and also a free ticket for the public transport within Luzern.We also dined at their restaurant Bolero and also this was a great experience. Our waiter was excellent and made our evening! He was thoughtful, very friendly and had a really good vibe. Perfect!Are you looking for a good hotel in Luzern? Book this one ;)

Lovely hotel, very conveniently-located (5 minutes walk from the train station).Reception desk was friendly and helpful. Rooms have complementary mini-bar (though only non-alcoholic drinks). Breakfast buffet was great, with made-to-order omelettes and super-friendly service staff. Breakfast is hosted in the BOLERO Restaurante, which is among the most highly-rated restaurants in the city (well-deserved reputation, at that).

We arrived at the hotel around 10:30 am after a train ride from Basel. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in which really made our day. Nick was very welcoming and helpful explaining what the hotel offered and what was in the area. The breakfasts were great. The visitor pass that we received upon checkin was also a bonus. We enjoyed two meals at Bolero and especially liked the Wed evening live entertainment.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Its very close to the train station. The room has all the amenities we needed for our stay and was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more pleasant. Breakfast is free and has options to cater to all dietary requirements.

Had a great stay in this lovely hotel. Room was spotlessly clean and the comfortable, and good to be able to open the window. Breakfast buffet had a very good selection - really loved the pastries and croissants. Staff at reception very friendly & helpful as were the breakfast staff.On the downside - room was next to lift so a bit noisy and it would have been good to have been aware of the additional city tax to be paid on departure when booking the room as it was not expected.

The hotel staff were extremely hospitable (as well as most of Switzerland). The room was great with free non-alcoholic cold beverages in your mini fridge. Breakfast each morning was fantastic with tons of options.The only thing I would mention is the AC unit in the room is a little below par for the cost of the facility.Looking for a bite to eat the Bolero restaurant adjacent is wonderful!

The hotel is ideally located near the train station and the piers and a short walk to the old town centre.The staff we dealt with were all very nice, friendly and professional .The buffet breakfast was very good and the complimentary coffee for guests during the day is a good idea. The Bolero restaurant was also very good with excellent service.The only negatives I could find would be the size of the standard room which is rather cramped with little storage space. Also like most things in Switzerland its a little expensive.The location of the safe is also a little dangerous as I almost hit my head on the open safe door which could have been serious.

Nicest hotel, excellent staff and services,And the best Breakfast for this price.We booked 2 rooms, 1 for 2 people and 1 for 3 people. The room is quite small for 2 people, but for room with extra 1 people is quite spacious.Amenities were everything you would want, nothing is miss. They have coffee and tea in the room, and the hotel let you drink all the drinks in refrigerator without any charge! This is the first time I have experienced this. Bathroom is quite clean and new. It is very new hotel with modern style indeed.The breakfast is superb! The vibe is so good, and service is excellent. They serve a free smoothies which tastes delicious. Varieties of breakfast is quite different, and they provide some good, quality food. Absolutely brilliant for this kind of boutique hotel.Totally recommended.

Our family of four stayed in a family room for one night. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, which seemed to be a rather fun and charming residential neighborhood. The location was very helpful for our early morning walk back to the station. And its only a 10 or 15 minute walk (maxto the old town on the north side of the river. One note: we could hear the trains pretty clearly when we had our window open but once the window was closed it was much less noticeable.The hotel itself, while modest, has a lot of style and was immaculate. Each room is named after a different Swiss waterfall, and we found our room (and bathroomquite spacious and comfortable by European standards. Complimentary fruit and soft drinks were waiting for us when we checked in.The service was quite good as well. They use a guest portal to track all correspondence and it was both efficient and an effective way capture all the back-and-forth. We had to leave for our train before the breakfast buffet opened so they packed a generous "to go" breakfast for us. We didnt eat in the restaurant (a Spanish tapas placebut it looked stylish and interesting.Overall it exceeded my expectations for a modest, train station-adjacent hotel. I really appreciated how much thought went into the design of the rooms, the signage, etc. In America, our modest hotels are very generic. This one was not and we were impressed!
