Delicious halal restaurant in San Juan!! Owners were very friendly and nice. The food was great, we got a mixed doner plate. Meat was very flavorful. Def recommend for Muslims visiting the island.

The food is as authentic as you can get in PR. The portions are large enough to share. Parking is tough, street parking nearby is the only option sometimes. Price is right.

The best restaurant in the city is undisputed for several reasons. First, the restaurant manager is very respectable and his treatment is very classy. Second, the price of food is accessible to everyone. Finally, the amount of food is enough to make you happy and full.

I have been to Istanbul, Turkey three times.This place is the real deal!The lamb is moist and seasoned to perfection.The best pita bread that I have ever had.The decor makes you feel when you walk out the door you might step into the streets of Istanbul.The man that serves the food embodies the cordial hospitalitythe people of Turkey are known for.

The owner needs to treat his customers better. I opened the door at 4:10pm for a table for 1. Waiter comes over says there are full but I’ll be seated when someone leaves. I asked if the wait would be long, the waiter says no. After I waited outside in the rain for 20 minutes, a couple leaves the restaurant. The waiter comes out and says “the owner says you can’t come in but you can order to-go”. It was 4:30pm and they close at 5:00pm. You should’ve offered the option of to-go when I got there instead of telling to wait in the rain for 20 minutes in the rain!Anyway, went to Sultan Abi instead, great food and service!!

Excellent lamb doner served in a hefty portion.The coffee was very good as well. Went at noon, and was served expeditiously. Highly recommend.

This is one of those rare "finds", as the place does not look like much from the outside, but wow, the food is amazing. We are blessed in San Juan with several Turkish food restaurants, and all are good, but Café Istanbul is well worth the visit. The owner is Turkish and takes great pride in the quality of his food. Servings are large, and the flavor is fantastic. You cannot go wrong here. I recommend this for a small group (4, idealas the place is not big. Nothing fancy: Just GREAT food. Thanks to my motorcycle club friends for recommending it.

The absolute best place to get Turkish food on the island. It truly doesnt get any better than here. If youve never gone before to a place like this order the sandwich Meat Döner for your first plate. If you enjoy that dish youll probably enjoy a lot of the things they have and offer in the store. Music is a bit repetitive once you go more than once (they have the same music videos playing over and over every day it seemsbut they are quiet enough that dont bother you one bit. They also have top notch decor on the place and amazing fresh tasting food.The staff is always immediately ready to go ahead and take care of you and they serve you the food immediately and hot too. They have never skipped a beat when it comes to service and making you feel at home. The chef could smile a bit more however! Which by the way props to him for the great food he consistently dishes out any time Ive gone there.5/5 You owe it to yourself to go at least one time to this place, at least to try it out and the type of cuisine they offer.

We absolutely love this place. The Humus with lamb, mix Doner kebab and the exquisite baklava make the perfect lunch/dinner. The decor is beautiful and we specially enjoy the Turkish artists music videos on the tv. Staff is attentive, prices are very affordable for the amount and quality of the food served, and service is fast. Overall, highly recommended.

Fast and excellent service. The food is very good and quick to fulfill orders. Do not hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations regarding the food as the staff is very knowledgeable and take your preference and experience into account. Do yourself a favor and try the baba ganush with a bit of hot sauce.

Great food and Service, .an autintic Turkish Restaurant. Small place, but great ambiance. If you like gyrus or want to try great ones, you got to go and check this out.

Long time regular customer of this place. It was one of the first in the area (if not the islandto serve up a real, authentic gyro sandwich with actual TENDER lamb (thats apparently very hard for other places Ive tried around here. Although it could be much bigger due to its success, the owner is still then one carving the gyro and serving up the food. Its a small place that is worth every penny spent... and as a person who makes his own hummus, I have to say it: this is the best hummus Ive ever eaten.

Best gyros Ive had so far in the island and they are huuuuge. Great and friendly service, you wont be disappointed.
