What a pathetic excuse of a business. The website hours indicate that theyre open until 11. We show up, theres no lights on or business hours posted. We call the phone number from the website, the number is not in service. Wasted all that time and gas for nothing.
MoreMy place to go when I want a sugary breakfast. The crepes are really good and I love the chocolate syrup they use. They also make plates for people who are more in the salty side.
MoreMy go to order is - Chocolate & Hazelnut waffle <3, be it home delivery or dine-in. I love Chocolate & Hazelnut waffle. The chocolate that comes with it is so creamy, soft and rich, waffles do get a little soggy for home deliveries but I am totally fine with it. I cant count how many times I have had this combination, best sweet treat to make my day. Cheers!!
MoreIt was very good and deliciousIt wasn’t the best packaging tho, since the crepe came a little bit messed up.Kinda Fresh fruits, food quality, but overall it was worth the moneyThey told me the design of the crepe would be nicer if we go in-store.Recommended
MoreUnbelievably plain, false advertising, and way too expensive.I ordered a mint chocolate milkshake which was depicted as mint green, light, and having whipped cream, it came as a dark brown chunky drink, but still tasted good. But the triple chocolate cake I ordered was completely different, what was advertised as a cake containing chocolate mousse and chocolate cereal was instead a boring chocolate cake with cheap whipped cream and some strawberries on top.For these two items I paid around 16 dollars before taxes. Considering neither were any good I feel like I got cheated out of semi-decent food.
MoreBeen to Cacao 70 before in person of course, but ordering it for delivery is a whole different experience. The banana for the chocolate fondue was a little too unripe, the pineapple was a bit too sour. And there wasnt enough chocolate to go around. I tried to reheat the chocolate as well since by the time it arrived, it was pretty cold and hard.I think Ill wait for restaurants to open back up for physical sit down visits before I come back.
MoreI ordered through Uber eats, never do that! If you eat in, I give it a 4 stars, but my experience twice now with delivery is just a nightmare. I ordered churros and got sugared doughnuts, the hot cacao taste like old paper... it was more than horrible, they put hot waffles in a cup, it was like rubber, the melted chocolate was ok.... the brownies weren’t even cut, overall , I would t even give this a star
MoreAmazing desserts and a cozy place to attend a dateAnd totally satisfied with their delivery service these daysDont miss the "After Party" dessert its yummy 😋
MoreOrdered a few things, strawberry short cake and illegal chocolate waffles along with a ham panini. My strawberry shortcake came in a plastic cup caked in a weird green film, tried to call and ask what it was, immediately got busy signal. Confused. Waffles came with no maple syrup, to my boyfriends disappointment. Also asked for utensils, got none.
MoreI had the most amazing time eating out at CACAO 70. It was absolutely succulent 😋 and ravishing. Very much recommended. Try it out! Loved the service the presentations. Totally worth the money. Thank you CACAO 70 to serve all your clients equally and wish you guys all the very best for today and always.-ArtIsMyAbsolute
MorePlace to be if you have a sweet tooth! For me especially i love the fondue platter has it all for 2 for 20$ gives a great sweet experience!
MoreExcellent food and drinks from mains to desserts to the alcoholic coffees. The staff are welcoming, efficient and friendly. This place is well worth a visit. The food is fresh, tasty and the portions are massive. I would recommend the “volcano” for dessert.
MoreThe time we got in was quite quiet. Less busy and seems like the food has already pre-made. Just assembled on the plate. We liked what we ordered. Its a good place to hangout with friends. There are a lot of options too. Drink and food. Its worth to come once.
MoreThe hot chocolate was chocolatery but not sweet to my disappointment, and the volcano is not really an ice cream and is just soso, and they lack stuff that could balance the sweetness out, not worth it personally
Morewe had the shared plate and the chocolate fondue was great, as well as the waffle. although in general it is still too sweet for me but I recommend sweet lovers to go!
MoreI like that place, it’s so nice and friendly! The food was good and also the staff treated well
MoreThe fastest way to consume 4000 calories you will ever encounter. This place is for dessert only. After 3 pages the menu starts to list Salads but Im confused as to who the hell orders them here. Its all about the chocolate.Hot chocolates are rich and creamy, the mexicocoa has a spicy kick that follows a rich chocolate flavour and milkshakes are bloody ludicrous, coated with marshmallows and whipped cream. The sharing desserts are grandious and flamboyant affairs, for example the two person platter has a flaming pot to toast marshmallows over. Not the greatest quality of food, but its volumeous, well presented and cheap enough to make it worth a trip.
MoreTheir food is not fresh! Be careful the salad! My husband and I got food poisoning after dinner. We ordered two cups of American style hot chocolate, waffle, and the crepe "fire up with veggies". As the picture shows, there is a salad with the crepe. In two hours after dinner, we got diarrhea. I went to the washroom three times and my husband went to the washroom twice because he also tasted a very little bit of the salad (about two forks). I also had abdominal pain. After the third time, I feel nausea, weakness and would like to vomit...This is my second time coming here, and the last time. I really like their chocolate fondue, but I am very disappointed this time.
MoreI felt I was ripped off when I found out that the chocolate cup for the fondue was pretty full while it was just visual illusion and only 20% of it. And it’s not enough for the fruits that comes along. If you want more (and you will need more 100%either pay 2$ for small portion or 4$ for the bigger one. In the pic you can see how shallow the main chocolate cup and the 2$ extra chocolate portion. Also noticed the brownie is very dry and not fresh neither the waffle.
MoreI loved the place. First, its super easy to find and their menu is amazing especially to chocolate and desserts lovers. The chocolate is real cacao and is not sugar. The place itself is very cozy and calm. The open space kitchen idea is very welcoming because you get to see what you order and how they make your food. The staffs are very helpful and friendly too. The place have good wifi connection as well.My only suggestion is that they should improve their menu style. In my opinion, they should add pictures beside the choices in the menu or they can make an web-based menu for easier access and sustainability.
MoreI always past by this dessert place but never paid attention to it. A friend of mine recommended this place and to my surprise it was amazing. I recommend the waffles and chocolate fondue
MoreWe had to wait more than a hour because the waiter didn’t put our order. They had only 2 waiters for a room full of customers, which make the service very slow. Their desert are very good, though.
MoreExcellent quality and service. Prices are super good for a brunch. Will be back definitely!
MoreThis place is a dream! My friends and I ordered 3 different plates and all of them were so good! The ice cream was delicious, brownies, dip, everything! Photos are proof!
MoreChocolate with a passion...This minimalist decor chocolatier/café has a modern vibe, friendly accommodating staff and delicious affordable desserts as well as breakfasts. The portions are generous and the coffee delicious. I would have liked a bit more white chocolate in my 2 chocolate fondue, but otherwise I really recommend this place.
MoreI love the brunch menu here since it gets served either a little platter of fruits and chocolate fondue. The sandwiches are good but my partner felt cheated out of his waffle toppings since they served it folded with half the toppings. I didn’t think it was a big deal... generally I have a good experience coming here but it is in the general brunch price range and if you go during high times there can be some wait but not too bad.
MoreYummy moment with a friend, this is good chocolate lover spot specially for there cheese cake served in a cup is the only think a prefer in the menu!! There dark chocolate was good but not the best for me I found it too sweet for a real Dark chocolate!
MoreVery nice place. Chocolate is amazing. Got a moka frappé. Was very good but also very sweet. My boyfriend got a fruit smoothie it was okay. I would go back again
MoreCACAO is Everytime a failsafe option when we have a cravings for chocolate. I never tried the cake here. Fortunately next to us, some kids were having this glass topped with cream and chocolate. We asked the waitress and realised its a cake in the glass. So guess what, it ended up in our table and then also on the table next to us. Felt completely satisfied with every bite(sipof the glass.
MoreIm not much of a desert person so I ordered the mint chocolate shake. It really didnt feel as heavy as a normal milkshake does so I was happy about that.I was there with 2 friends and we ordered a black and white fondue to share. It was very fun to dip and socialize. The waitress was funny and enthusiastic. You can really tell that she loved the job and make the environment fun. They do have a salty menu (crepes and sanwichesbut I havent tried it. I would definitely recommend when youre looking for something sweet to share amongst friends or family.
MoreAwesome place to come for dessert. We arrived here after having dinner in the area. It located a short walk from a lot of great ramen shops. They have a great assortment of treats with everything waffles yo shakes to ice cream. They have a large menu for a dessert shop so you will definitely find something you like. Lastly. The decor of the space is great. There is a lot of seating space and the setting is cozy.
MoreMy favorite is the cheesecake and it also offers brunch - very good brunch!
Hey if you want diebiates then yeah its a great place. But in a serious note its really good.....just really sweet, I find.
MoreAlways a good experience at this Cacao70 branch. Friendly staff and good desserts! The dark classic hot chocolate is delish, but far too sweet though!
MoreOne of the places exclusively known for desserts! The food is amazing but a little expensive for the dessert category
MoreTheir mochaccino is so nasty and bitter I made my boyfriend drink it and he chugged it and then he annoyed me for 5 1/2 hours because of the sugar rush. HE TALKED DURING THE WHOLE MOVIE. Juliette & Chocolat cheap ripoff also. I wanted to write a handwritten review but the establishment did not provide pencils to write on my napkin.
MoreAmazing. Waitress knew English as well which was a huge help. Wish for an English menu as well but that was all good.
MoreGreaat choice of brunch, crepes/waffles, all kind of chocolate related food and drinks.Btw the chocolate used for the drinks and for the fondue, the desserts.. is reaaally good! The ventilation system was maybe out that day cause it was really smokey and bit too hot inside
MoreFood is ok! Chocolate is great. Service is very slow. We got the desert before the salty food. We waited for 30 minutes and didn’t get our salty crepe. We cancelled it and the server was very kind and gave us a 15% off the bill to apologize! I appreciate this move but would have preferred a faster service!
MoreI ordered one of the favorite menu items, dark melted chocolate with a side hot chocolate ($10 + tax/tip). The melted dark chocolate was small in quantity but exactly what youd expect it to taste like. I was expecting the hot chocolate to be bland in comparison but it was surprisingly quite rich, and very sweet... Definitely satisfied my sweet craving, but I wouldnt call it good value.I typically do not penalize for service, however the attitude here is exactly whats wrong with many Montreal establishments. I had a bad feeling before even ordering. The waitress was obviously more concerned with flirting her male colleague than serving customers. I had to wait quite a long time before being seated, wait quite a long time before getting the menu, make multiple fiery eye contacts before ordering. Menu placed on the table with her back turned away. Same with water. After finishing my chocolate, I put my credit card on the table and fired another round of eye contacts to no avail and saw her pass by multiple times. I finally flagged her down and said "can i have the bill?" before she came back and grabbed my card while continuing to look at the guy behind the counter. I once again shot fiery glances at the girl when going out, obviously without any sort of greeting. I kinda wish she didnt give me a receipt so that I can report their ass to Revenu Quebec. Not impressed. Neither by the food quality nor service. Ill stick with Juliette & Chocolat (and their amazing $15 table dhote deal), thank you very much.
MoreI love sweets! Ive visited Cacao 70 in Toronto so for me Montreals Cacao was a mandatory place to visit. It was our anniversary so I asked the staff to write the wishes on my order but after checking with the chef she said she can arrange the candle but the chef cannot write and I found that sweet too as she arranged the candle for our special day.On a cold day hot chocolate is a must have!
MoreService was really good, food was ok. Waffle would be so much better if they were hot. We had the feeling it wasnt freshly made waffle. Crêpe are good but not as good as Juliette and chocolat. Chocolate was excellent.
MoreThe place is very well located. The staffs are friendly. The food is good. I strongly recommend this place for chocolate fan.But during the weekend, the place is usually full and thr people might have to wait...
MoreGreat service and excellent food. This is a great place for chocoholics with high quality chocolate. I recommend the illegal waffles paired with coffee - who doesnt love chocolate for breakfast? (:
MoreYummy in my Tummy! Best waffles in town! Cacao 70 is a Go to place if u love desserts. They also have delicious sandwiches and salads
MoreDelicious! Love the little grill they give you to roast marshmallows. One star less because no one asked for my order for 15 frikkin minutes after we took a seat.
MoreGreat place overall, good service and nice food with lots of chocolate, there is a choice for everyone in this place from dark bitter to really sweet white chocolate.. its warm and cozy and quiet definitely recommended for satisfying that sweet tooth
MoreDefinitely my favourite chocolate restaurant in Montreal! A restaurant that I must go every other week! Nice service and delicious food. I dont mind waiting in line just to get a taste of that waffle with hazelnuts, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Always make me happy and satisfied in the end!
MoreGreat atmosphere, great food and great service! We went on a busy evening and yet got amazingly fast service. The food (we got the smores pizzaand our drinks were tasty and warm. We barely waited for them to be delivered to our table. Would definitely go there again!
