Friendly service. Great for a quick drink and tapas. Tasty options including pizza. We went before a cinema showing.
best pizza i have had in the uk and i’ve had alot( believe me)
I have been a regular at this place previously. Unfortunately, the service has really gone down. Today I was told by the lady (Graceto try another cafe across the road because my order was complicated. I ordered a regular cheese and cucumber sandwich and requested it to be sliced as it was for my child and did not want it toasted/melted. Previously my sandwiches were served toasted despite not requesting so I specified I did not want a sandwich toasted. I was told to wait 5 minutes and again it was served warm with melted cheese and when I mentioned this politely, I was told to go across the road. I did in the end go to the cafe opposite and I got excellent service and a cheese and cucumber sandwich, made within minutes and cost a £1 less. I definitely wont be returning! Unfortunately, Grace is very rude, never has offered a service with a smile and now lost a customer.
Probably best avoided.
What a find! Food is lovely and staff are great and friendly! We will be back
Perfectly adequate food and coffee wise. Staff were efficient and charming. For me this was a first and likely last visit as its located too close to my home so unsuitable for stopping on the many cycle rides I undertake in this area which take me past this place.
RUDE and UNFREINDLY!new to the area and it was my first time there, ordered a drink while sitting with my laptop relaxing and doing my work, intending to have food later on and i mentioned it twice. just after i finished a glass of juice, i was told to leave as they needed the table!!! it was a two person table and there were other seats available, it was not reserved also! they did not even bother to apologise while asking me to leave, justy dropped the news and left!! i will never go there again!
Great location, wonderful food and friendly staff. The veggie breakfast was spot on for a yummy healthy breakfast. Recommend it and a lovely walk along the Thames tow path on the same side of the bridge as the cafe. It’s pretty magical with all the trees and gives you a different view of the Thames!
Lovely man shop worker/owner lively coffee and these things I brought lemon pistachio and chocolate roll up sweets omg I need to go back buy more.
A peaceful spot at very shirt distance from Richmond centre. Good food, friendly atmosphere. Great place to refill the batteries after a busy week.
Lovely little cafe! Food was tasty, but portions could be bigger. Staff was friendly and they have tables outside :)
An excellent meau and the full English Breakfast is mouth watering delicious.Highly recommend.Best wishes Sean
Very disappointing lunch here. I had a falafal wrap and it was the worst wrap Ive ever had. Mushy tasteless falafal with a couple of pieces of tomato and a few lettuce leaves. No yoghurt (although that was on the menuand no tahini. Other reviews seem to be very positive so perhaps it was my choice. But with that and the lukewarm coke, the worst lunch Ive had in years!
Our breakfast and hot drinks were so delicious, great value and high quality produce! Definitely returning. Music and service was lovely too.
The location is great which is why they are busy but the food is below average although the guy who runs it is very nice.
Excellent cup of strong tea - we always go here for our tea and weekend breakfasts.Excellent service, great food, good value for money.Keep it up!😊
Always a pleasure dropping in here, especially during walks along the river - friendly, attentive staff, good coffee and food.
One of the worst sandwiches Ive ever had. Bread was completely stale which they tried to mask by toasting it, but even that failed because they didnt toast it enough so it also ended up being soggy. The two slices were different sizes as well so it arrived with most of the ingredients having fallen out. Big chunks of red onion carelessly thrown into the sandwich because theyre too lazy to do more than quarter the red onion apparently.Very disappointing and unacceptable overall.
Friendly staff, great coffee and sandwiches. Looking forward to visit when they open their new tapas restaurant in the evenings😍🥂🥘
What happened to By The Bridge?!! This used to be a nice cafe, where you didn’t mind paying slightly more for slightly nicer ingredients than your average cafe. The last few times I’ve been the service is insanely slow... took 20 mins to make a couple of sarnies, the Club Sandwich is a joke, it’s a couple of floppy bits of bacon and chicken and not much else, thrown between two incredibly dry bits of bread, which weren’t even cut in half. Overpriced and underwhelmed. What a shame this place has gone so downhill.
Lovely place, adheres by covid rules and the falafel wrap was absolutely delicious! Havent had anything like it on this side of the pond.
Great spot, great food. My only complaint is they often advertise with signage that they are opening for new hours- like 6pm Friday’s and serving pizza- and everytime we went for said 6pm pizza- the lights were off And it appeared closed. Now they have covid hours with pick up posted all over the storefront and after calling throughout the opening hours-10-2p, I have yet to have anyone answer the phone to place an order. I would love to support this business more, but the conflicting times advertised make it difficult.
Lovely meal here before lockdown with a friend. Very filling wrap washed down with a good wine. Good service too. Highly recommend.
We were ordering coffee with my partner and Just saw how pregnant 🤰 female asked if she could use bathroom. Elderly waitress said that she is not allowed to use it if she is not a customer. What a F..k?😳🤷♂️ really???We cancelled our order and left this cafe.Maybe food is nice etc,,, but such customer service is just bad really bad🤦♂️
Very nice evening!Good food and beautiful live music session of classical guitar! If you are interested in classic guitar live sessions don’t hesitate to get in touch!
Inside is spacious and pleasant, though a bit cool in winter. The Moretti draught (£5/pintwas delicious, and unexpected in a coffee shop. The frittata was good and reasonably priced (£6).Disappointed by the overcooked poached eggs in tomato sauce, please dont call it a shakshuka.Bread was OK.Staff was nice.
Dont be fooled by the dated / mish-mash appearance of By The Bridge, their food is freshly prepared and consistently good. The staff can be a little reserved with their welcome and service but if its a good bite to eat you are after, this can be a good choice.
Really nice and cosy place. Warm, well lit it felt as the perfect place to wake up and have a delicious breakfast in the weekend.I got the full english brekkie and it was filling although the sausages and bacon were a bit too smoky.Nonetheless I loved starting my day here.Staff was very kind and relaxed in the good way.Good job guys.
Fantastic little place and really polite service!!! Came tonight for the first time to have dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. Had 3 of the "tapas" style dishes, which where a bloody good size not your typical 2 mouthful nonsense that some places serve. That was topped off with perfectly cooked steak and chips. Top notch
I really enjoy this unassuming little breakfast place. My wife has celiac and so cant have gluten. She absolutely loves the gluten free bread they have here. They also have a nice outside seating area which is good when the weather is decent. All in all, cant really fault the place. Give it a go.
Super little coffee shop. Love the somewhat quirky interior.Only 5 minutes walk from centre of Richmond but well away from the bustle - very relaxed ambience.Great food; ideal for breakfast, brunch and light midday meal.Service is excellent from the friendly staff.
A lovely cafe! We visited here for breakfast and so glad we did. Their menu contains a wide selection of choices. The prices were really reasonable too. Our food and coffees were delicious. We shall definitely return!
Good coffee, friendly staff. Outside seating too.
Great breakfast spot... Lovely pancakes!
Weve lived locally to it for ages and just recently moved, however it is still our go to cafe even if we have to take a bus there. The service is quick and the good is delicious with a wide range of dishes, catering to vegans and vegetarians as well (Im vegan). Overall, strongly recommend this place.
Nice food, many choices for breakfast, but the staff/owner could be more friendly and welcoming
Lovely little place where to have tasty breakfasts and relaxing lunch. In spring and summer time the tables outside allow to sit and enjoy fresh smoothies and frappé under the sun.
Great little cafe just by Richmond Bridge. Good menu, reasonable prices and ample portions. Friendly staff. All in all a Good lunchtime experience
Cosy british breakfast café with a wonderful vegan friendly menu and great tea and coffee. Whats more its in a great location with multiple beautiful walking routes right outside the door. Perfect for Sunday mornings!
A lovely little place for a breakfast, coffee or even a light lunch. The place got quite busy and only one person serving and cleaning up, but that didnt at all detract from and enjoyable experience and tasty meal. Definitely on my list of places that I will go again.
We each had a vegan breakfast. Yummy
Really tasty breakfast. Ive been there a couple of times now and the food has been really good both times. Really fresh ingredients, nice eggs and sausages. Vegan option available too, as I had the hummus and avocado toast with portabello mushroom and tomatoes. Very reasonably priced too. Large smoothies and lots to choose from. Service was good too. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Popped in for breakfast (which they serve until 3pmwhich is handy.Food came quickly, was warm and rather tasty. Hash browns were crispy and tasted great. Sausages / bacon good quality and poached eggs cooked to a perfect "runnyness"Only complaint, if you can call it one. My coffee was too hot. Cant please everyone.Good price, good food, fun decor.Recommended.
The service was a bit slow at 9:30am on a Sunday but we didn’t care as the food was well worth the wait! I had the most delicious pancake/crumpet things which came with fruit & mascarpone cheese. My husband had a lovely full English breakfast which wasn’t oily at all. He said his coffee was great & I really enjoyed my healthy freshly made ginger juice with mint & other goodies in it. We both felt a bit chilly sitting next to the window even though there was a little heater right behind us. Overall I would highly recommend this place.
Nice location. Sometimes the service is a bit slow but theyre always upfront about it, which is nice. I really like the chicken, brie and cranberry sandwich. Huge and tasty!
Amazing gluten free afternoon tea with all the trimmings. Will definitely bring more friends here and recommend to the Coeliac Society.
This unassuming cafe at the base of Richmond bridge has a lovely atmosphere and MAK E THE BEST AND HUGEST SNADWICHES!!!If you are hungry and want to have a chat with your mates, I cannot think of a better place to go!!
Cute and cosy local caf with wooden interiors and a friendly feel. Have only come here for tea and coffee and have never been disappointed. Its also a nice place to come and get some work done during a week day.
While working in the area I stopped for breakfast and lunch there a couple of times. Very tasty and open vista so good view out in the the street and bridge approach. Good coffee and cooked specials.
Have eaten here twice and although the wait was a bit long, they did let us know it would be and it was worth it. The pancakes with caramalized bananas and bacon was amazing! Going again tomorrow...
