Wonderful Park. Animals are very skittish for vehicles. Seems to be hunting there.
Beautiful park with a lot of flora and fauna
Mahangu better, Buffalo less. Late afternoons proved more successful.
BwabWata was a bit disappointing, few animals but possibly because it rained a lotWe visited Fort Doppies (was a Special Forces training baseand the old 32 Battalion (disbanded in March 1993As a birder seen some lifers and was lucky to see 2 lionsOn the way to the Botswana border post we drive through the Mahango core area where more animals were seen
The game nature😎👣TheLonelyMan
Bwabwata is the mother nature, so nice to relax after a long depression or stress. Come and enjoy the beautiful place
We went specifically to the Mahangu core area part of the park. Had a great experience from reception to exit gate. Nice small park, had some great sights. Animals were calm and close. A definate must do when your in the area.
What a park to visit, everything went well. We saw a lot of elephant, some antelope and animal.
This Is a very breath taking place where nature is at its best.
Beautiful experience. Saw elephants and other wild animals. My favorite part was seeing velvet monkeys
You will always get what you wish for in this park! Very beautiful...
As I drove through, I came across wild dogs, elephants and buffaloes who were at peace with our presences. It was behold for me seeing them that close as I have never seen wild dogs and buffaloes before apart from Television. They are beautiful animals
It was the best I saw different wildlife with describe that Namibia has a lot of diversity of wildlife
One of the best parks in Caprivi, excellent campsite at Nambwa. Great game photography at the Horseshoe. Buffalo core area less interesting.
Love the whole thing about the nature around this place, the animals, tall trees, the river, I mean its just an amazing place in its own way
Beautiful and even more stunning in the rainy season. Love the fact that you can self drive.
Great place to be calm more adventure.

Wonderful place. You can drive along the Okavango river and see many elephants, hippos, buffalos, crocodiles, kudu and many other animals. Roads are easy for 4x4 cars.
Lots and lots if elephants! Great! But also lots and lots if FT and boots!
My experience in this vast state Forestry is of interest and mainly focuses on the provision of Park Security against Transnational Armed poachers and Local poachers. I am supervising multiple Teams of Law Enforcement Agencies deployed Strategical in Bwabwata national Park. My roles amongst others is to ensure that foot patrols are conducted everyday, all strange movements are reported, found footprints are tracked and proper coordination is managed. It is very complex response task and I am not only for Bwabwata national park but also includes Mudumo National Park and Nkaza Rupala National park as well as outside conservation areas. The main challenge is Transnational Armed Poachers from Zambia coming through across Angola and Namibia into Botswana or coming through Namibia to Botswana and they moving in deferent timing day and night. There are multiple Strategies that my multiple Teams implored to deal with poachers tactics and developments and the best is intelligence information collection and community engagements. The application of community engagements is targeted motorists where suspected poachers may get transport from point A to point B and the bush areas where suspected poachers are passing through to access Botswana and that approaches also catering for local poachers. The work is going well but haboured by more challenges such lack of field vehicle, some routes are bushes and need to be cleared, the field camps in the parks do not have boreholes to provide water and camping materials are very old makes Team members to surfer during rain season and lack of incentives for people providing information, lack of funding for Helicopter fuel, lack of communication facility or the system to link the whole operation together at one time and installation of Internet in the Operation Commander office, so those are some immediate needs amongst others.
Amazing game viewing experience
This park offer a variety of wildlife that you may not see anywhere else in Namibia
Horseshoe is still one of the most magnificent spots to watch elephant in Namibia. Driving along the Okavango in the buffalo core area is spectacular.
What a hidden gem. Absolutely worth a visit.
Wonderful park to do a game drive on your own. Good gravel road, no need for 4x4. We saw a lot and a great variety of.animals. They have lions and leopards, we didnt see them though! Loved game drive we did here. We did it in 4 hours with long stops.
Great park to view elephant & Buffalo
Just a Kwik visit to the western side below Divundu. Its on the road to the Botswana customs pist. Saw lots of birds there. A good display of animals were waiting for us. This section can handle 2x4s on identified sand tracks. Saw plenty of elephants at the water hole deep in the bush, including two drunken groups of tourists standing outside their vehicles about 80m from the elephant herd.
As a first timer to the real nature world I was blown away. .. we saw so many different species from small buck to Giraffe and then the highlight for me was a herd of Elephant... just what we were hoping for... a very pleasant 20 to 30km self drive game viewing which over delivered on expectation... highly recommended!
Wonderful experience, to see the animals in their natural habitat is a bonus. A must see
I lived in Namibia for years but never heard of Bwabwata National Park. A great find off the road between Katima Mulilo and Divundu. A 4x4 is a must. Huge herds of elepgant and buffalo. The Nambwa Lodge is situated in this park.( 5 star ). Once again the staff were great. A really magic setting
A wonderful experience all the time. Beautiful animals to see and scenic areas for photography
Great customer care, magnificent habitats, open plains great view.
What a peacefull day out in nature!Clean, well kept park.Lots of Elephant, birds,Kudu, waterbirds. Will go there again - for sure!
The tourist accessible part of the Buffalo Core Area in the Bwabwata National Park is not that big but is totally worth it! The entrance fee is very cheap and you have access to beautiful landscape especially around the flood plains close to the Okavango river. In only 3 hours in the Park we spotted waterbucks, red lechwes, bushbucks, hippos, crocodiles, many elephants, wattled cranes, ververt monkeys, baboons, warthogs, bushpigs (grassing on the floodplains in the end of the day, quite a rare sightingand lots of buffalos.
Incredible area -- such a contrast to other parts of Namibia. One can see so many elephants, hippos, crocodiles, baboons, and unusual antelope, even during the self-drive tour we did alongside the Okavango river. Many choices for where to stay - well developed area, but easily feels remote a few minutes drive away from the lodges. Definitely worth the long side-trip from the rest of Namibia - one of my favourite parts of our 3-week trip!
Undisturbed nature at its best!
