Butterfly Park Empuriabrava - Zoo in Primer Ensanche, Spain
Pretty and some amazing animals! Well worth a morning visit!
Small but very butiful Park. Not only butterflies to see but also many different tropical birds. I can absolutely recommend to visit it. The price was 12€ for adults (summer 2022). I dont know the price for children.
this is a beautiful garden with lots of birds and butterflies. there are also bats and turtles, iguanas and some animals that look like deers. I always go here when I am on vacation in the area, it never ceases to amaze me with its beauty. I feel welcome here, and at peace.
If you in the area it’s a nice stopover to see some birds and a few butterflies. The entrance fee is a bit expensive for time it takes you to visit the enclosures.
A very small but unique garden with beautiful exotic butterflies and parrots
Its a nice place to visit every few years. 3 years ago, there were more animals. The parrots are tame and dill eat from your hand/sit on your head.Be sure to take a bottle of cols water I with you. Its like a sauna in there.I was disappointed with the butterflies this time. I saw between 20 and 30. Ive been in others and the air was thick with them. Thousands of them. So, this isnt impressive. My 9 year old daughter loved it. I loved seeing her excited. My son walked along looking at his phone. I should have left him outside.I think that its worth gojng, once. I think that its too expensive. €40 for a family of 4There are some nice picnic tables outside, in the shade. I think that I enjoyed sitting there more than going inside the place.Go. Enjoy halc an hour or so, but dont expect anything special.
A small but nice little park where you can spend 30 till 60 mins max, we were done in 20. The prices are a bit to high if you ask me ,3 stars is realistic.
Fantastic experience for the family, lots of birds and Butterflies.Small enough that all the birds are around you and close up, but large enough to give them all space to roam. Can get around it in less than and hour.Easy parking and a small little souvenir shop also.Highly recommended.
Really enjoyable. I went in the evening, so the birds were tired but still showed off their colors. The turtles and deer were pretty cool. I had a giant blue bird creature come sit by me in one of the seats. The shop was cute and had two little birds that I got to pet. Will Definitely be going back .
A great fun experience for the family. Watch out the parrots can be aggressive, but easily discouraged.Go early to avoid queues.
I support this small sanctuary. Its very nice and you can feed the exotic birds. Nice terrarium
Great place, a lot of parrots and other beautiful birds, butterflies and small animals. Very good for kids. Accepts only cash, no credit cards.
Amazing place to go with kids. It is not big, it will probably take you 1-2 hours tops to see everything but they are well worth it. Birds are very curious and land on your shoulders, hands, head. And the butterflies are huge and beautiful. Our kids (2 and 8loved it!
Great to spend couple hours with kids
Great place with adorable animals and lovely lady at the reception! Absolutely recommend!
We visited the butterfly park on a whim and it was a really great experience. It is a little hard to find but there is a map on the website. There are tons of butterflies and other tropical birds. Wwe will definitely be back.
Nice place to visit if you are around. I will come back for sure in summer once you can enjoy seeing the butterflies as well.
Its beautiful. I loved seeing all the birds. Sadly this time of the year they dont have butterflys
Breathtaking experience !!!! Unforgettable family fun :it was so lovely to see animals so well looked after ❤️ I felt like I was in a rain Forrest in South America 🌴 amazing staff cant thank them enough for our wonderful experience 😊 xxx
What a visit! The owners are nature and animal lovers. The birds are so happy.. And they are free to fly out and they come back by themselves. So nice to see the animals are well cared for and treat the park as home.
This place is a dream for animal lovers. Even it might seem small, they have an incredible variety of animals and plants and it will take you a long while to see everything. All the animals look happy and healthy.
Great visit for children and adults alike. Feed the exotic birds. Get close up to the butterflies, they may land on you. Great visit
Nice bird (& butterflysanctuary, but the whole experience is ruined by the anti-vaccination/covid propaganda right from the beginning. Its even more idiotic to propagate such messages in a place thats a hotbed for transmission (enclosed, poor ventilation, super crowded, etc). Half the staff is also not wearing masks and there is no regard as to how many people are inside at the same time. Overall pretty disappointing
Though its fairly small, theres more than enough to see for the visit. Theres no time limit either so youre in no rush to see the various birds, bats, reptiles and butterflies they have. :the only down side to the visit was how crowded the place was with children on what I assume was a school trip.
Beautiful park with friendly people... must see..
We visited on 17th August 2021, we spent about 90 minutes there and took our time, we all enjoyed it and very reasonable price of €10 each to get in .
We had a wonderful moment at this butterflly parc with my wife and daughter. A LOT or different butterflies and tropical birds in an open environment where tout can pet the animal. Highly recommend.
A little expensive for the reduced amount of wildlife available. Other than that it was ok.
Very nice place, weve enjoyed it a lot!Very recommended even if you come alone, in couple or in family!Weve been nicely attended by the personal
Wonderful place! Good value for money. There are not that many butterflies, but lots of birds. Many of them jump on you, this is the first time in many years I had so much childish joy and excitement. Highly recommended for a visit. Also very pleasant stuff working there.
What a brilliant place! The birds are crazy, the bats are wonderful, the deer things love being stroked, the turtles love the pellets (not allowed to feed them, but hey, you only live once!), and the butterflies are gorgeous.Went with our 3 teenage girls, and they all loved it.One and a half hours (despite people complaining about the size of the placewell spent.Would definitely recommend it!! 5 stars
Amazing place because you are not watching animal in cage but you are inside the cage, great experience especially with kids. The butterfly are only a little part of the park.
This attraction is, in my opinion, misnamed. There are gorgeous butterflies for sure, but the whole area is a massive series of walk through aviaries. There are also bats, muntjac deer, and reptiles as well as a wallaby. I am certain that we didnt see everything. I was most impressed by the free flying parrots, especially the numerous eclectus parrots which had been bred in their aviary. I shall certainly return. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Most of the areas are under cover so a fabulous place for a rainy day.
We needed an indoor activity to entertain our little one during a rare torrential downpour and this place was an unexpected delight! Not so many butterflies but two caves of bats (not for those of a nervous dispositionand lots of exotic birds who will land on tou unexpectedly and happily hitch a ride wherever you go!Good value for money and lots to see, worth a repeat visit - next time its raining!
Lovely little place, lots of birds and nice area for bats. kids absolutely loved it!
Nice tropical zoo, lot of parrots, a type of deer and kangaroo, apart from butterflies .Recommended to visit with kids
Great place for kids and adults of all ages. Might be a problem if you have a physical disability as walkways are narrow and can get crowded. Good for about 1-2 hours. Loads to see. Butterflys, birds, small wildlife but nothing to scare anyone other than a small bat cave which you dont have to go through. 9.50 euros per adult. 7.50 for a child. Really enjoyed it. Paul
Really great place for everyone. Variety of animals (not only butterflieswhich are close to you without any fence. Some birds are very friendly and will come to you so you can easily touch them or take a really cool photos with them. A little bit too hot in my opinion, we were sooo wet but it’s worthwhile experience.
Mostly indoors so great for rare bad weather. Small place but plenty of interesting birds - take your time! Friendly staff who seem happy to talk. The animals are all around and some, like the toucan, can be carefully touched.
A small but well maintained park with great staff and a lot of friendly parrots.
Very lovely place with a huge variety of birds and butterflies. They have also turtles ans some small mammals. Very well preserved. The visit will take you a couple hours and the kids wil enjoy it a lot. You can buy nectar for 0.5€ and feed the birds so you can see them close. The children under 4 enter for free.
Great park, I liked the mix of animals to see and the parrots were quite friendly, a nice stopover for animal lovers
We have visited butterfly park number of times. Kids always enjoy it. Parents as well. Nice to watch birds and butterflies. Some of the birds are so used to visitors that they sit on your hand or shoulder. Remember to bring your camera with you.
Very cosy and worth visiting with children. Great variety of birds! The bats are awesome and butterflies...kids loved it!
Decided to visit here because it was too windy to go to the beach. It was a nice visit, the kids loved all the birds and that you could get so close to them. It was pretty small and seemed a bit expensive for the size, but still enjoyable.
Its a nice place, especially for children. But, there are more birds than butterflies. I would have loved to see more butterflies. And, it is not that big and quite expensive. Of course, it is not cheap to take care for so many animals. But if you would like to visit the park with the whole family, it is important to know. But anyway, we had a great afternoon there.
A little pricey for entry given the size of the place (Euro 9.50but worth it for the bird feeding. Whole family enjoyed having the very tame birds eating out of our hands and sitting on our arms, shoulders, heads etc. You can easily spend a couple of hours here - just watch your clothes and bags, they will get eaten !!
Small but very nice for kids. If you like to observe and spend time looking at animals, you must go there!
It was really nice! A lot of different birds and parrots are flying around in a good habitat. For €0.50 you can buy a cup of nectar for the parrots, that gives a lot of funny moments. There are also other animals you can watch, like butterflys, bats, the Indian muntjac etc.The animals choose to come to you and can hide if they want. If you have a chance to go there, do it :)
Nice place to spend time with your kids. Interesting and various birds and butterflies.
