Butlers Chocolate Café, Pavilions Shopping Centre in Donaghmede

Staff always nice to deal with and always smiling.Never any reduction in the great staff or coffee. While Prices have increased lately, however it is still good value and lets face it everything is getting more expensive of late.

Had a lovely table at the outskirts of Butlers today. Coffee as usual a treat, with the complimentary chocolate, great people watching situation very relaxing before another attack on shops to see where my money can be eaten up.

We found great coffee but today we just visited Butler coffee at Swords pavilion shopping centre and noticed that recently they changes their cup to a glass for latte which is really not comfortable for drink as it’s hot . I dnt really understand why they changed this cup to glass as it’s not fancy even.When I asked a staff member that please can you give me normal cup as I am not comfortable with it , the staff member replies this is the usual for latte abut I said I thing this changes has been place recently ??Staff member make no comment.We will not come back back to butler anymore if this not changes .Hope higher management will revert this changes to nice cup.Thank you

Id give this cafe a 5 star rating for the staff alone. All so friendly and efficient. My two boys loved their hot chocolates and the mini gingerbread men are a perfect size for kiddos. The dark chocolates are my favourite, devine. Butlers is always a winner.

Great atmosphere even though being in a shopping centre, I felt like I was in a superior place. We ordered only two coffees (great taste and flavour but not so many optionsand were asked to pick two little chocolates included in the price. Would go again only for this!

The man with the curly hair, is very helpful and nice.

The staff arent over friendly they are not unfriendly more indifferent. Ive told them to smile more it creates a better atmosphere

Love the chocolate you get with your beverage

Tables and overall area was clean and well maintained. Hot chocolate was delicious, cookies were soft and perfect baked. There are so many tiny chocolate bites that is hard to choose witch one to try first. I definitely need to get back here, have some coffee, enjoy the atmosphere and go shop happy.

Love the hot chocolate but there is always a long queue and often only one of the two service stations are open.

Love butlers and always love sitting here for a coffee but as of the past few months one of the ladies working behind the counters behaviour is shockingly rude, she has a foreign accent but not sure where shes from, but shes not fit to work serving customers coffee with that awful tone of voice and manner. Coffee still remains amazing

Busy for a Saturday morning promptly served staff friendly and efficient and the cafe was clean reasonably priced visited here a few times and will in the future

I get my coffee here every Sunday after my walk on th beach.Staff are great and very helpful.Plenty of tables to have you coffee there.They also have a separate counter for takeaway.Nice pastries and cookies too. But the coffee is what brings me here.

Apologies for the negative review as I am a real fan of butlers coffee. So annoying when you get a lid that just doesnt fit... I tried repeatedly to adjust it, not to let it go completely to waste but covered my clothes and then the car, until I gave up and tipped it down a shore.... Seriously its the little things that make us come back for more... Not on this occasion

Love this place!! Perfect size small coffee hits the spot every time! Staff lovely and even though its always busy lots of staff working so never too long a wait! Free choice of chocolate a bonus too. Coffee great!

Coffee is amazing as usual, as i said before "butlers coffe is at the moment the best Coffee in Ireland"But the cashier in the front who takes your orders extremely unfriendly really loud.And arrogant fist bad experience at butlers,The guy who made the coffee spot on extremely pleasant and friendly godly hands at making coffee spot on,Management needs to talk to the girl in the front who take the order. Friendliness kindness is number 1 priority, customer service should be the easiest thing i guess not. But dont let that stop you from enjoying they coffee,5 stars 🌟 for the coffee but 1* for the cashier lady.

This place might get crowded, so the wait time can be vary from person to person. The latte was great and the chocolate was tasty.

Overall it was great. The staff were friendly and the wait was somewhat okay. I ordered 2 of the summer specials; an iced peach tea and the watermelon lemonade. The latter was really good and very cooling. However the peach tea was very sour and throat burning at first, I was not aware there would be ginger in it as it was a “peach” tea. For anyone else who is going to try it unless you’re a fan of ginger I’d suggest stirring it really well before your first sip. 🙂

I choose Butlers special hot chocolate always, but there are plenty of other drinks you can try. Prices are increasing recently, but the chocolate drink itself is too worthy of drinking sometimes to ignore the price tag.

Try to buy a pack of easter eggs that are on display in the shopping centre and cafe today for mother in law. Staff member outlined cant sell the items on display. I outlined why are they still on display then? Staff member outlined they are stuck to the shelf. Wont be returning.

I find that the cappuccino is always good here. Nice spot to sit and people watch or just relax. Free chocolate with coffee is delightful !

Often take my 93 yr old Mum for tea, apple pie and her favourite"free chocolate " despite long queueing busy Saturday! Today however Mum was disappointed with a rude floor staff.This lady dismissed my polite request for milk for my Mum( supposed to be on table )told me to Queue up ...again....I advised her I had made three trips due to shortage of trays she just told me I should queue for third time....thereafter she stormed off into back of the shop. Lovely counter staff helped ....

Busy environment, wouldnt recommend, and vegan hot chocolate tasted very strange.Long queuing for coffe,if you want good coffee and friendly service go somewhere else!

Very good taste and range of chocolates and coffee but the most important thing is missing and this bothers me... the soul. There is no soul, no happiness in this place. Even the manager looks over-tired and unwilling. Nobodys smiling, nobodys talking everybody is just doing their jobs. Like a factory. I dont think anybody would like to spend their money, time and energy to this depressing, unhappy place. I have asked the person on the till "good morning, how are you?" and she didnt even looked at my face! Definitely wont recommend.

I come to Butlers at least 5 times a week. I love your coffee and nice chocolate treat. Your coffee shop is always my first choice. But no longer after yesterday!Yesterday morning, one of your stuff was so rude. She seemed to had a bad morning, made customers feel we did something wrong.I handed over my loyalty card to her but she didnt give back to me. And she started to argue with me that she gave it back to me, I was the one who forgot where did I put. And she asked me a few times I should check my bag. Eventually I had to talk to the manager, during she was checking the camera, the stuff found my card which on the counter beside the cashier. She accused me that I put it there.Finally, she is the one who put my card there. I didnt get any apologize. She didnt care and whispered to the other stuffs made me feel I was the bad one who enjoying casue problems. Her rudely and unprofessional behave ruin my morning. I will let all the friends know what happened and suggested dont go to Bulters in case ruin their mood.

Dear Butler Chocolate Director’s.You shouldn’t employ people who are rude in taking orders . Too many coffee shops around to be treated rudely! As a local person who had visited often I found this visit completely awful!!! I won’t be back even though we love your chocolate! Used to be my fave coffee shop. Fantastic coffee and a free chocolate too. Had to deduct a star for the removal of gluten free cakes from their store

Coffee here is a great treat...The service is always excellent, the staff are very helpful and efficient.Its a very busy place but as they are so efficient you never have to wait to long.I love that you get a complementary chocolate sweet with your coffee, its a Butlers chocolate not just any old sweet !You can sit down at one of the many tables however you at times might have to wait for a seat.What draws me to want a coffee is the fantastic aroma of coffee that permeates the air ...

Best chocolat store! Ive tried many different flavours and all delicious, Id recommend the vanilla, latte and flake. Im not a big fan of their coffee, but the hot chocolat is good. A bit pricy, but all hot beverage comes with a choice of chocolat on side, so I think is fair price.

They do really nice desserts and chocolates they do a delicious chocolate brownie sundae and cookie milkshake the atmosphere is calm and peaceful! Go there all the time

Place in the beginning gives you idea of something nice, but coffee is just average and very expensive. It is not same butlers than years ago. With hot each drink youll get chocolate of your choice its nice guest but for me great taste of coffee is a must and Im not finding it here.

This was a wonderful experience being Christmas it was busy but the staff were very attentive. We were served by Ruth & she was excellent, smiling all the time & extremely efficient while we sat having our coffee we glanced over & she was still smiling while serving the customers. I would definitely visit here again

The store in Swords has 2 counters one for coffee and food and the other just coffee, they have a good range in the shop and for your free chocolate they will check the other counter for your favourite. Place is always busy but you will always find a seat

Central location, always very busy. Good selection of cakes but coffee is not very nice.

Butlers are known for their chocolates so its no surprise that hot chocolate is a big favorite in this cafe. Im told the coffee is beautiful - I wouldnt know because Im too busy having the Chai Latte which is my favorite and must be the best Chai in town. Oh, as if that wasnt enough - they give you a free Butlers chocolate with every hot drink. Enjoy your visit - I did.
