A rambling riverside beauty spot with an arboretum, Victorian gardens, friary ruins and a cafe.
Lovely massive park ..few musical inturments for the kids n animals to look for ..could do with toilet facilities...
Regularly ride through bute park and the summer house cafe is a perfect place to refuel. Theres plenty of wildlife to spot from squirrels to herons and if your very lucky the occasional kingfisher. Nice wide paths for joggers cyclists and pedestrians to share.
A big park just beside Cardiff Castle. Great for a stroll or exercises with good views and sceneries.
This is easily one of the brightest jewels in Cardiff’s crown. Boarded by the Animal Wall on the north of the city center with the River Taff running through it - strolling Bute Park became a daily ritual and a source of great pleasure for my husband and I: Swans, tea-rooms, late fall flowers, dogs, conkers. So Zen. Namaste Day.
A beautiful, well maintained and well thought out resource used by a plethora of people. Toddlers playing, mothers refuelling with a breath of fresh air and a large coffee; schoolchildren using the education trail, joggers, cyclists and fitness enthusiasts alongside those happy to pass the time of day with a friend or even a stranger sat on a bench. Birdwatchers, gardeners, dog walkers, squirrel chasers and even cats on leads. Loved it.
A beautiful park to explore right in the heart of the city. A couple of lovely coffee shops with limited seating indoors but plenty outdoors on dry days.Paths to follow all level ground & good for cycling too.WCs can be found in one of the coffee shops.
A huge sprawling city park at the heart of Cardiff. Named after The Third Marquis of Bute, a man whose family developed most of the Cardiff we know today. The main features of this park are the huge grassy areas which are perfect for picnics, sports, dog walking or just relaxing. Another joy feature is the wide range of different trees here from Evergreen to those that change with the season. Many of them blossom with fruits and berries. Its a large park so if you want to see it all you should allow a couple of hours and its quite easy to get lost so mind your directionThe park connects downtown Cardiff with Llandaff Cathedral and is a glorious walk
Lovely green area for all the family in the heart of Cardiff. Well done Cardiff City Council for maintaining this great space.
One of the best parks in Cardiff, spacious , lovely and green
Excellent outdoor experience. The boat trip is highly recommended. Nice for dog walking. The secret garden cafe has a lot to offer.
Bute park is by far the nicest place in this city.Reasons:I have created countless amount of people there that are now are good friends of mine. We all meet up in Bute park to do sports activities, to laugh, to talk, to get to know each other, to support each other, to compete with each other, to sometimes argue with each other, to fall in love, to learn from each other, to cry.... to everything that we like to do in our free time.Bute park allows us to do all of these things..I highly recommend it to everyone...
Green well kept ark in the middle of the city. So many white swans on the water!
Lovely. I love all the paths and trees here...the arboretum is amazing. I embraced and felt the connection with a lot of huge old secular trees...after that I felt restored! P.S.: please dont throw any bottle or garbage in the park, there are a lot of waste baskets.
Bute Park is a treasure if adventures, social gatherings, strolls by nature and everything in between in Cardiff. There are lots of different areas to explore and whether youre looking for a place for afternoon tea, having a few beers with friends or if you feel like being in a forest in the middle of the city, Bute Park provides all of this and more. Its such a lovely place to recharge your soul and whether its a quick walk or you end up spending the whole day here, you cant wrong with Bute Park. To spend time here is to truly be in Cardiff. An excellent place to people watch, and if you venture off a bit further into it, its a great place to bird watch as well!
Simply gorgeous! Theres a choice of three great quality cafes offering ethical produce. You can sit amongst formal gardens, find peace and shade in a woodland area, or opt for sunbathing or games on open grass. Theres also several miles of walks on the Taff Trail, and great views of the castle. If youre lucky, your visit might even be accompanied by the sound of a piano, violin or full-blown orchestra playing in the College of Music next door. I absolutely love this place ❤️
Very busy at the weekends but still one of the best parks in Cardiff. Very pretty, lovely cafés, lots of benches to sit down and relax, a few areas for kids to play. Always something interesting happens here!Short walk from the city centre. Water taxi with easy access to Cardiff Bay operates daily.
Very Beautiful park..good of a walk . Massive trees and beautiful greeneries always refresh our mind. There is a small coffee shop inside the park and can buy icecreams aswell.
Nice jacuzzi the rest is ok as accommodation not a 5 star seen better caravans in Cornwall. But is quiet nice and close to snowdonia
Amazing green space easily accessible to the public. Saw my first wild hedgehog here and I loved the park overall. Good escape from the city centre.
We visited Bute Park on a quick road trip to Cardiff. It’s now in my top 3 favorite parks. Massive trees, beautiful gardens, and you can rent bikes. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Amazing to feel like youre out in the countryside when in fact youre in the heart of the city!
A beautiful park in the heart of the city, well kept with wild areas and plenty of space for fun and games.
Very well kept park, flower borders, grassy areas, lots of trees and 2 cafés
Amazing park ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐To get rid of daily stress, it is the best place in the Cardiff City Centre.
Amazing park. Great for a wander on a nice spring day.
So wonderful to have such a beautiful green space in the middle of Cardiff. Absolutely gorgeous.
Wonderful to have such a lovely, lush green area in the town centre! Really nice park to visit, we took the water bus from Cardiff Bay which dropped us off at the park, it was great the only downside was there is a lot of litter in the water which is quite unpleasant and bad for the wildlife but the area was really pleasant.
Lovely park for a walk. Back of the castle to explore as well.
Very lovely park right behind Cardiff castle. Many types of trees and flowers. Lots of entrance/exit from different sides of the park making it accessible. Lots of space to do sport, walk, run, picnic, BBQ.
An oasis of calm and tranquility, loads of space a great coffee shop in the centre and opposite the millennium stadium entrance. Not convinced I’d be 100% confident walking through there late at night, but a lovely and well maintained city park. 👍
Great experience but certainly not cheap. It was like a Disney park with music using light shows worth a visit suitable for all walking abilities pretty much flat no steps accessible if you have walking difficulties. Some food stalls Yorkshire pudding wrap for £8 !!! Got a bit crowded at the end where everyone stops to take a few pictures
Christmas at Bute Park. If you have not been before you need to go.A superb experience bringing all the festivities of Christmas together with a fantastic light experience.Clean, tidy, enjoyable day / night out.Family orientated, dogs welcome. It’s a great time and one of Cardiffs treasures. If you were thinking of winter wonderland give it a miss and go here instead you will not be disappointed
The entire walk was magical from start to finish, and it was fabulous to be able to enjoy it with my entire family... Honestly, if you get the chance to go, take it... You wont be disappointed...
Christmas at Bute Park was great. Kids enjoyed the lights. Bit too busy around the food stalls which needed to be spread out a bit especially in this day and age!
Fantastic Christmas light show. Great fun for the family. Beware the highly overpriced food and drink. £4 for a hot chocolate!
The Christmas Light show looks amazing. We walked round as 7 family members and a basset hound. We all got a little muddy, but not too bad. If you take part in the drinks stalls as you walk round, and the food stalls at the end, its not a cheap night out, but the sights and atmosphere really make it a worthwhile experience.
Christmas lights at bute Park was amazing we totally enjoyed it and thanks to all the event organisers as it must have taken months to put all those fantastic lights up , we will definitely go again and its highly recommended.
Beautifully kept gardens surrounding Cardiff Castle. came here for a wander whilst my partner went for her health check. Helps when its good weather but the scenery is wonderful and offers plenty of space for a walk or to spend time with the family or walk the doggo.
This is a stunningly beautiful park nestled in Cardiff city centre, the journey is akin to entering a different dimension like the world of Narnia, therapeutically otherworldly. During my three years of studies in Cardiff, I spent my weekends running the course here in preparation for marathons, also picnicking with colleagues. Lots of fond memories here.
Lovely place , we had a great time there, the river boat trip was absolutely fantastic! So much to see and to do !
Beautiful park with bridge to cross over. Helpful information. Easy to get to and to find other places.
We went to see the Dinosaurs today before they move on and it was a brilliant use of the Park. Nice to see people enjoying the outdoors and respecting the area, keeping it clean and tidy for others.
Jurassic experience in Bute Park!A brilliant setting for any dino mad child! The dinos are positioned in various different areas of the park, T Mack loved it!A bit expensive, but to see his face in front of a scale T rex and Stegosaurus, worth it!
Great ParkBeautiful sceneryGreat Walks, runs and ridesAlso there is currently an Dinosaur exhibition. Animatronics.
For a good walk or cycling, friendly to all ages as it is mostly flat, head to Bute Park. Stunning gardens and wood, with ancient trees and delightful flowers.
Beautiful park located at the heart of Cardiff city centre. Free to public. Wide open spaces with plenty of outdoor gym facilities, wide paths for both cycling snd running. Lovely lush green trees and flower gardens. Water features throughout the park. Visitors centre nearby.
Absolutely stunning park and so big. Very well kept with plenty of things to do. A definite recommend to any tourist visiting
A beautiful park, you can walk around the pathways or wander along the river path, each is lovely,.
Wow what a beautiful park to be found in the centre of a city. We came to Cardiff expecting to walk around the town and admire the architecture but not only that we got to experience a fantastic park well maintained and clean with a lovely vibe. We got very lucky with the weather so were able to sit on a blanket on the grass eating ice-cream and drinking tea.
try forest bathing here, its safe with plenty of space and it has cafes for food and drink. if you sit near the river, or walk and smell the flowers and trees it helps with mental illness. inner city park, so you can go shop or whatever after x
