Burrito Gallery Brooklyn in Jacksonville

This used to be the Brooklyn staple, but it was... Not very good. I dont recommend anything other than the chip trio. Im a vegetarian, so you meat eaters may have a better time with it. The big thing that bothered me was the bartender, which I think was the MOD, who literally seemed incapable of smiling. I get that its a young man thats probably green to working in general, but you need to act like you want that money. If youre not keeping the tips because youre the manager, you should still want to see repeat business for your bonuses, promotions, and overall economic well-being. The most I got out of him was a suggestion for apple pie shots. I asked him if it was whiskey, he just said it had Goldschlager. Is it on special? No. Is it good? Oh, its just something someone ordered recently. Yea... Nice pitch lol

This fast food restaurant is like most, nothing too impressive but I can say, the food was pretty good for the price that you pay. It wasnt overly too busy and we got our food in a reasonable time and the prices were in line with most restaurants

Shayla and the staff was very friendly. The drinks are good. The restaurant was clean. I will eat here again.

Today while I was in the store on Brooklyn Station at 12:08pm, I ordered my usual taco and chips with queso. When my food arrived to my table, my chips were cold and I did not receive my queso. I asked the food runner  for fresh warm chips and let her know that I had ordered queso. She went to the kitchen and spoke with a manager named Shayla. I am unsure of what was said between them; when Shayla came to my table she said " Whats seems to be the problem, because every time that you are in here, there is an issue. " She was incredibly rude and condescending with that statement. I replied that if my food, that I paid for, was made accurately then there would not be an issue. However, I do expect food that I am paying for to be warm and to get the queso that I ordered. She replied that they were busy and then snatched my tray from in front of me and slammed it back into the kitchen. She brought me back queso and chips that were still cold. As busy as they were, I would have assumed that the chips would have been fresh from the high turnover and production of them.The entire interaction was abrasive and completely unacceptable for a front of house manager. Shayla then refused to give me contact information for anyone above her head and walked away. A few moments later, a male manager was sent to us and asked if there was anything he could do for us. While he was polite, he seemed to be dismissing our concerns and excusing her behavior with how busy the restaurant was. It was at that time that I sensed he would be apathetic about the situation and requested information for the owner. This is the email that I was given. This is not the first, second, or even third unpleasant interaction that I have had with Shayla. Every previous time I have been missing food from my order or asking that my food be made correctly and she has been there, there have been snide comments or curt interactions from her.My coworker did not even get her food in the 30 minutes that we sat there and ended up going to get a refund and not eating for the day. This has been, by far, one of the worst customer experiences that I have had, especially from a manager. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled thus far.

Food was cold, meat was dry, and service was lacking. When I complained that there was no ice in the drink machine, they gave me an attitude. Dont waste your money there.

Not a good experience. I was assured that my order was checked. It was a very large order for my office. It was not correct, I went back to get the missing items only to find out that my own meal was missing several of the things that it should have had in it. Additionally it was not ready when it was supposed to be ready.

Terrible. Ordered the burrito with beef that did not taste good and was sloppy wet. So embarrassed when to lunch with colleagues and could not eat my food. Changed to chicken burrito but it was no better. Burrito missing ingredients. $14 Refund wanted. Developed sore throat. Not sure if seasoning used or cooking method. But the chicken itself was over grilled to tough and burrito wrap was hard in spots. Very dissatisfied.

I got one taco and it was only $6 and it came with chips and guacamole. I would say that’s a great deal and super delicious food. Everyone was super friendly for the most part. Everyone else in my party got about 2 tacos or something else and that got to be about $10-12 but again came with salsa, queso or guacamole with chips with that price. I mean you can’t beat that price for that great of food. Will definitely be going again!!

I want to start my saying that the customer service here is excellent. My server Jamaal was awesome, sweet, kind, and full of love. If I had a bigger tip I would have given him $200 because his energetic spirit and overall energy is amazing. Despite people being rude he kept his composer and high level energy at all times. I love that.Now for the food and prices. My food wasnt worth $16.79 they portion sizes suck but the taste of the food like the beans and rice were amazing. I really didnt care for the burrito it had way to many onions in it more than they other veggies and meat. I had majority onions and rice. The over all exprience was decent. I wish they offered more options but this would be somewhere I come when Im barely hungry. We ate 2 of the cheese quesadillas but they coke with 4 slices and I had the fajita burrito.

This was my first time. Some of my co workers ordered online. And I ordered for myself when I got there . The young lady at the register was so great. The online order took a bit longer. But 100% satisfied with our orders! The food was DELICIOUS 😋

Had BG for lunch today. A trio. It was very tasty, the service was timely and the staff was friendly. I knocked over my queso and the GM was so nice about it although Id clearly made a mess lol. Kindness and good customer service goes a long way with me so I will be back soon!

I had my daughter’s engagement party at the Brooklyn location. We rented out the rooftop. Martin (VPwas amazing throughout the entire process. We worked on the menu, seating, etc. The day was perfect for my daughter’s special day. We were allowed to decorate to our liking for our Caribbean theme and he accommodated the size of our party. The price of the event was affordable. I appreciate the entire staff for being so helpful and professional throughout the entire event. The rooftop was the perfect size for the event along with a great size bar. The lounge areas were a nice touch and the rooftop overlooking the city looked amazing at night. I would 100% recommend the Brooklyn location for your special event.

The business was clean. The staff were really helpful and patient. The food was delicious. The queso was especially good and flavorful. I would recommend this location.

Came here during my lunch break and it took them 30 minutes to prepare a to-go order consisting of a Burrito and a side of Chips and Queso. When I went back to work and opened my order, I found out that they gave me Guacamole instead of queso. For the same price I could have a bigger burrito, an accurate order and much quicker service at the Chipotle next door.

I would have given them a 5 but ,The portions are too small for the amount of money that they charge you, other than that the food was delicious.

First time in this restaurant. We were in Jacksonville for vacation and decided to eat here to try something different than Chipotle which is right next door. The taste of the food is good for a quick lunch. I ordered the steak bowl and my husband had the Steak Burrito. Our meal only had like 3 small pieces of steak. We fill up because it serves you more rice and black beans than Steak. The queso and guac was good. I would not eat here again just because they serve very little protein. I prefer a thousand times more Chipotle.

Food was quickly prepared and was good. Staff was outstanding. Only issues were parking and music was a bit loud for conversating with someone else.

Date: Spring 2022I would rate the food and location as "alright". The taste didnt wow me and the location had potential. It was nice for it to have outside seating, but it felt "cold" and not in a temperature sense, just nto welcoming. The bar area looked nice but Im not a drinker so I cant comment much more on that. There are no outside trashcans if that matters.

Horrible service today at the Brooklyn location. Placed my online order more than an hour before my pick up time. Order was not ready. The young lady at the counter said she will check on it but she was pretty sure that they were still preparing the order. Well she never even attempted to move from her spot after that to "check on it". Then they brought my order and the entire second part of it was missing and nobody seemed to know why. This will be the last time I try ordering from there.

Great drinks, tacos. Disappointed the roof top wasnt open due to being short staffed.

Keto Ginger Tofu Taco!!!! Fantastic... OMG cant wait for another trip soon. You will not gonna wrong with this as a meal!!!IT IS WITH SADNESS THAT I MUCH CHANGE MY REVIEW FROM 5 STARS TO 1.. THIS LOCATION SOME HOW FOUND EVERY SINGLE RUDE PERSON THEY COULD AND HIRED THEM.. THEN ONLY OPEN FOR A FRACTION OF THE TIME AND STILL DONT EVEN KEEP TO THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM HOURS THEY CHNAGED TO. ALSO THEY DO NOT OPEN THE ROOF TOP ANYMORE EITHER. I HAVE BEEN HERE 4 TIMES SINCE MY LAST REVIEW AND EACH TIME THEY WERE CLOSED. I GUESS AS MUCH AS WE WANT TO BELIEVE COVID IS OVER SOME PLACES AND THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS ONE OF THEM WANTS TO USE THIS EXCUSE TO NOT BE OPEN AND BE RUDE. Grub hub order … why would you guys serve me overly cooked tacos hard and cold shell the shell was over cooked I use to come in here and buy tacos this really has me heated. You can see the SOFT SHELL is cracking because it’s super hard and over cooked. Lost my business. Called to report this order and no answer to phones.

Idk what happened, but this place is not the same anymore from when they opened. The freshness of the food is not there. Prices went up and every time I order takeout its either hard or the order is wrong. This time it was quality issues. Hard pork, hard taco so bad you cant even bite into it. I had a whole birthday party here 4 years ago and just that fast the place has went down. Probably is my last time ordering here at this location. Im officially turned off by it.

Dont confuse this place with Mexican food. Just cause they wrap their food in a tortilla and put hot sauce on the table doesnt make it real. If this was advertised as NY style burrito, then Id give it 4 stars. Not hating, just no mex flavor.

Very negative experience at the Burrito Gallery on Riverside Avenue.There were some pretty serious issues here -The restaurant was not clean. There were numerous tables which had not been cleaned which resulted in birds flying in and snatching leftovers and deficating near active diners in the process. Food and garbage was on the floor and NOT picked up by staff after multiple passes.Our food was delivered at awkwardly different times resulting in some food becoming cold while waiting for other food to arrive. Our orders were incorrect. Fish instead of chicken on one and missing ingredients on another. (The group that ordered ahead of us also had significant food delays.)AND, the staff uses a bit of trickery to keep you from dining upstairs. This seems rather bizarre considering how lovely the upstairs deck is on a spring day.I assume the staff does not appreciate the inconvenience of delivering food to the second floor.They tell you cant eat upstairs after you are finished ordering and paying.Why have the space upstairs if your staff does not want customers to eat up there?This is rather unfortunate and I immediately wonder if general manager is an active participant in this ridiculousness.STUPID.And guess what? You have now lost us as customers.Go next door to Chipotle or if you want drinks and better food go down the road to Anejo Cocina Riverside where the staff will welcome you and not engage in silly strategies to keep you where it is convenient for them!

Always great food. The service was wonderful today as well. Granted, we were there near opening, but they are usually pretty friendly. Nachos are a great value and definitely shareable as a meal for 2.

Exciting, busy, fast paced environment with great food. The staff was great, very polite and attentive. Everybody stayed busy the entire time I was there. I got some food to go Friday night after some recommendations from friends. I ordered old school nachos and two chicken tacos. The only "problem", if you could even call it that, was that I got steak tacos even though I ordered chicken. For me, that wasnt an issue, more of a pleasant surprise. As busy as they were, if that was the only mistake they made, theyre doing a phenominal job! I would definitely recommend them and I will be going back, hopefully sining in next time!

Awesome burritos! Queso is delicious on top. I had the steak burrito and the wife had the taco salad. Only complaint is that the lettuce had some heal parts

I really am disappointed. This is not a real mexican place ! birria tacos were very burnt and nasty the taco salad it was OK and when i tried to return the tacos , they said no because I TOOK ONE BITE...

I was very happy with the customer service and food quality at Burrito Gallery. The fajita style (grilled onions & peppersquesadilla was huge and very filling. The queso was great with the chips. I would definitely return the next time Im in Jacksonville.

I payed extra for a large portion and received the small portion. $26 gone to waste. My coworkers all purchased the small portion. If you’re looking for quality food, go somewhere else. You’re literally paying for rabbit food. The food has no flavor/seasoning ect. The bell peppers were crunchy. The manager (the tall guyspoke to me as if I’m not a valued customer. Me and my 7 coworkers came by for lunch. The woman at the front cashier was sweet and caring. Go chipotle instead. It’s literally right next we door. Or my coworker stated to try Tijuana restaurant. I’m the type of person that will speak with a manager when mistakes happen with either my order or service. However if the manager chooses not to correct the issue or at least show concern, then that’s poor customer service! Me and my team will not return here anymore.

Great view from the rooftop! Saturday night drinks, awesome food, and live music! The staff is fun and super attentive, exceptional really, and a special shout out to Bree and Gabe!!

Great experience. Very clean and prompt service. The presentation of the food was great and the taste was delicious. Would highly recommend if you like tex mex. I should have taken a picture when it first came out. I dug right in.

Service was a little confused about my partys order. We waited for about 10 to 15 minutes for all our orders which was not bad due to post Covid recovery. I loved the Sangria. Flavor was okay and ration was generous as it is usual in this kind of restaurant. Cashiers and servers were kind. Customer service was on point. I will come back anytime to have another refreshing drink and plenty of food.

Stopped here to grab two tacos before having to meet with friends to explore the town.I ended up waiting over 40 minutes for two unique tacos. The tacos were good. I dunno if waiting almost an hour was worth it though. I could [Should] of went to the new chipotle nearby.I had to find a staff member after 30 minutes had passed. They had told me they were overwhelmed with orders and sorry for the delay..They already had my money as you pay before getting your food. Once I received them I had finished my meal within maybe 8 minutes; I was trying to enjoy but I was already late meeting with my group after almost being an hour sitting waiting for 2 tacos.

This was my first visit to Burrito Gallery, but I know it will not be my last. Seating is arranged to maximize social distancing. Dining inside or out is also available. Currently running a limited menu, there is still plenty to choose. It is guaranteed to satisfy. We opted for the blackened shrimp salad and the chicken quesadilla. The blackened shrimp salad is loaded with all kinds of goodies, avocados tomatoes black beans served with a side of chipotle ranch dressing. The quesadilla stuffed full of chicken and a healthy amount of warm gooey cheese that satisfied the inner child in me.

CDC compliance. Super clean. Only three other people in the building. That I could see. Amazing food and pretty fast service.

Always delicious and a great value! I typically order the open faced burrito bowls. The tacos and salad are excellent too. The Riverside Brooklyn location is always busy during the lunch rush. However, even with the long line at the register, service is quick. Parking is also limited during the weekday lunch hour as it is shared with Zoes and Vale.

Food is okay! No salt in guac. Slow service. Parking is backside of road. Not too much pricy. You get what you pay.

I set upstairs on the balcony very cool hang out. They have fans to help keep it cooler and the bartender Will was great. I was alone because I’m here on business and he was nice and didn’t mind bsing. Above and beyond for the customer nice! Got the fish taco and carnitas both were delicious I liked the fish one the best. They are skimpy on the salsa but Will hooked me up with the bg green salsa and extra cup of other salsa.

This place has a nice atmosphere where they serve food and alcohol later than most other places. Thats why we always make this place one of our choices when deciding where to eat and hangout after an event that ended late. The food is really good, although it isnt somewhere we typically consider (would still recommendwhen looking for a place to eat during the day. So if its getting close to 10pm and youre looking for a place to eat, without a doubt Id definitely recommend Burrito Gallery.

Enjoyable restaurant with great outdoor seating. We has the mushroom taco, it was fantastic and the jerk chicken burrito, it was good. We also tried the trio appetizer and found we liked the queso best.

Always great consistent customer service as well as great food. Been to this location multiple times with my wife and the service seems to never be sub par. The food is awesome. I highly recommend the jerk chicken plate. Great mixture of jerk spiciness and subtle sweet notes. If you in a burrito mode I highly recommend the jumbo shrimp burrito.

Nachos were excellent. I added fresh jalapeno and pinto beans instead of black beans. Queso is excellent. I upgraded my burrito to saucy and it came with a substantial amount of guac. Burritos were not bad, but a little cold in the middle of the pork. I would eat here again for sure. Sit outside on the patio, or the roof top on those nice weather days.

Wow! Happy hour is awesome! Visit Anthony the bartender. He always remembers your name and shakes everyones hand. A man of integrity is refreshing this day in ageSuper cool design and great food selections. Upstairs is nice too! This is my first time here and I will be back!

Burrito Gallery (Brooklynis one of my favorite spots in Jacksonville. The staff is nice, the food is great, and the atmosphere is the perfect place to chill. Thanks to Melia for going the extra mile and being our waitress when we moved downstairs from the balcony after we saw lightning in the distance.

Food was amazing! Guac and chips, tacos and the chicken enchilada!!! Have to say this is one of the ones we will come to back when we come to this area!!!! Sorry, we ate the tacos before I thought of taking a picture. Open little bar, contemporary environment and prices avg for the type of food and portions!

Modern space with a lively atmosphere. The bar in the front of the restaurant has an array of large screens for sports or other events.Burrito Gallery Brooklyn has two outside spaces. A terrace out front by the bar and a roof top space.Food is served by friendly wait staff. The chips are fresh and crisp. The Red Hot Chicken Salad comes with crispy fried chicken coated in hot sauce. The cilantro ranch dressing balances the heat.

SUPER SUCK...other than the amazing cashier. 1st burrito seemed as if it was pulled straight from the refrigerator and the plate was pooled with water...not cooking liquid, but straight from the tap. The second grilled chicken burrito= hot, ZERO flavour, main ingredient was lettuce... SERIOUSLY!?! I dug though it and found 5 tiny cubes of chicken jerky. Even smothered with salsa Verde it was just bland and not worth eating. ***I ESPECIALLY ❤ the single Scotch that was short poured for the bargain price of $ The mixed drink was the size of a bathroom paper cup, overflowing with ice, and I am pretty sure that I could have legally given it to a child. Bottom line- WHERE THE HELL IS THE CLOSEST TACO BELL (-which is gross, but at least you get what you pay for!!!)

I forgot if I had a fish taco or chicken taco in addition to my shrimp taco. The shrimp taco is my all time favorite!!! I always seem to get a fresh batch of Cole slaw as a side. My 2 teens love everything else on the menu!!! Now for the one less star...something is always off with their brewed tea! It is either not sweet enough or has been sitting too long. I must tackle a soda instead.
