Burlesque in Montevideo

Despite the name this is only a bar. No exotic dancing. Food was excellent, beer was ok, but the Jamesons tasted watered down. And that hurts. Service was average.

Good place for drinks in the area

Located in a great place with a great vibe. It is a mix of an Irish English style pub with a menu for for all. From mega sized burgers to seafood options with rice and curry. A lot of beer options too. Make sure you go here with a group of friends.

This place has English menus. We ordered Buffalo Wings and Nachos as appetizers. The wings were ok, but the nachos were super delicious. We also had Quesadillas which were very good. Staff is friendly and prices are within the average range, totally recommend it.

Nice decor, decent beer selection, decent prices, and the food was... Ok. Big dead American style food that seems to be about quantity over quality. I wasnt impressed by the burger which was dry on the outside and dripping wet on the bun. Broken, backwards burger. When an issue with the food was noted, the waiter didnt really acknowledge, action the issue, or anything. Overall Ill not go back.

Our restaurant experiences in Uruguay have been very positive so far with two exceptions - one spot in Punta del Este and this restaurant. If you care about fresh food ( I mean literarily not old ingredientsdo not visit Burlesque. The location is great and convenient, drinks good and prices affordable. However, it is absolutely unacceptable to serve old dairy products!!! My mom ordered veggie tacos and took one bite saying she could not eat her food as something was bothering her. I offered to swap plates as I am not a picky eater at all. I took a bite of her veggies inside the taco and after about 2 bites realized the melted cheese(sauceis off. We did not touch the food thereafter leaving 2 out of 3 tacos untouched. The waiter came to collect plates and my sister who speaks Spanish explained what the issue was. There were no “sorry” or questions asked plus we were charged the full price for these old tacos. That is why I am giving 1 star. If the staff would have acknowledged the issue and apologized I would not mind paying full price (food was used to cook the tacosnor would I post the review knowing they would remove the bad ingredients from their kitchen. Now crossing our fingers my mom and I don’t get a food poisoning...

Food was really good. I went with 3 vegetarians and they really enjoyed their food too. Service was also great, staff very helpful despite our lack of Spanish. I would recommend it.

Good food good service worth a visit

Burlesque is and has been one of my personal favourite places to dine, for quite some time now. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up quite fast, but its still a great place to go out with friends, a date, or even with your family. Their drinks are good, the waiters really friendly and the food is really good. Plenty of options in the menu, for both drinks and dishes. A good place for a burger and a craft beer, in a good location and with a good atmosphere / vibe. Making a reservation wont hurt, but the waiting is not excessive if youre not in a hurry.

Quite a nice feed and great drink selection. Oh and the waitresses could have been from the Miss Uruguay pageant. Beware, the nachos bravos is very large, and it can get busy so make a reservation.

Irish Pub Very nice place

Great Mexican food place. Although its usually crowded, its a great place to go out with friends to have a chat at night since the music isnt loud and the atmospheres good.

Great food, good service, tons of friendly people, outside tables (with smoking), beautiful decor . . . everything you need.

In Pocitos, a residential area of Montevideo, there is this pub-restaurant, attended by many people and that serves very good burgers.Wonderful the bar.

Good food and good drinks. Service could be more attentive. If they do advertise to be a sportsbar, they need to have bigger and more screens or tvs.

Beautiful place, great food and very fast service!

This place has a really nice electrifying ambience in summer weekends and will give you kind of taste one can find in a sports bar. But it is not a sports bar. They offer chivitos of the house which are absolutely delicious with juicy piece of meat (You got vegetarian option too!). The beers are good too. You can choose for barelled or bottled.
