This is my favorite place to eat. Food and service is consistent and the prices are very affordable.

The food was excellent. I had grllled chicken breast, Mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread. The Mac and cheese taste like my mother use to make it, off the chain. Very good. The chicken was good as well, tender and very delicious. The key lime cake was off the chain also. The cake is most and very good. I will return again. Nick, is an excellent server, very detailed.

The food and staff here are amazing! First date spot. I had the catfish, creamed corn and a salad. My date had the bbq brisket with sides. Heaven in our mouths! Definitely will be back!

I enjoyed the breakfast here and cant wait to come back and try their lunch menu. The server we had was wonderful and very attentive.

We always look for local, non corporate restaurants. Burkes Grill was a very pleasant surprise. We ordered Shrimp and Grits with a side of collards and a Fried Chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Wonderful flavors and healthy portions. Only minor issue was the side dishes could have been served a bit hotter. Good attentive service too. Thanks

My first time there and being honest, I wasn’t impressed. Maybe it was just an off day but I’m not sure. When we entered, the young man was very polite and welcoming. Got our drinks and order rather promptly but afterwards is where the problem began. We sat for nearly 20 minutes waiting for our food. I had a direct line of sight to the window and could see our order sitting there for at least 10-15 minutes. When I decided to leave, and confronted the man upfront, he all but called me a liar, not knowing that I had been able to see the order sitting there. I didn’t appreciate his attitude toward his own incompetence at all. I can’t say I will come back here again.

This place is amazing! Absolutely love it!! 10 out of 10!! From the food to the customer service! The food is always great. No more the time of day. I usually come in for brunch but sometimes I oder to go for dinner. The food is always on point. The customer service is absolutely excellent! Never had a problem. My favorite dish is the country fried steak that leaves me day dreaming for more. 🤤🤤 And the prices are great.

This place was amazing. Family owned and loving staff made sure our first experience there was the best. My two year old loved how creamy her grits were. She finished those first. My southern fried pork chop sandwich was fried to perfection. The biscuits were soft, moist, and fluffy. I cannot wait to visit again and try the famous chicken sandwich breakfast meal.

Im on a lucky streak finding great places to eat! This place was exceptional. Creative food and clever combinations along with some yummy originals. The service was by a young man. He was polite and prompt with everything. He also provided insight to menu items that were delicious.Looking forward to our next visit!

We always enjoy eating at Burkes. The food is good, the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. Except at peak times, the place is quiet enough to have a conversation. Tonight the lemon pepper salmon and the baby back ribs were excellent.

We had the "Chicken fried chicken", a burger and my daughter had the chicken tenders with fries. Everything was very good. The service was excellent and the cakes are delicious. We will definitely be returning customers 😊

I frequent this place since I’m pregnant. Catfish plate is my norm. I asked them to sub the “free” cornbread with a slice of white bread. The “acting” manager would not do so. He said that bread is specifically for other meals. 😱 I was furious. If it wasn’t a craving, I would have walked out without the meal! For the lack of customer service & hospitality, I will not spend my money there anymore!!

Friend had a dirty glass, handed to someone who brought out food, asked for a clean glass. 15 minutes later, still no drink. Would mention it but not a soul has come back to check our table. Food was only okay. Not busy here, but no waitress since order was taken. Definitely not returning. Way too many other choices to spend money at to settle for bad service and dirty glasses.

Absolutely delicious!! I had the fish and grits (blackened), grilled vegatables were fresh and not soggy. Sister had the deluxe burger and onion rings and brother had the shrimp dinner. No complaints with any meal! Must try.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would! My husband and I went there this morning for the first time. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Everyone and I mean everyone was so kind and helpful. They worked as a team to gets orders out, drink refills, and just anything in general. The food… OMG the food was delicious and the prices were great. The waffles and French toast was awesome, but let me tell you… the GRITS were so creamy and perfect. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being so kind today. It’s hard finding that nowadays even in restaurants. ☺️

Went for a solo birthday breakfast and so glad I did. Wait staff was attentive and the andouille omelette and potatoes came out cheesy and hot like I like it. Might visit again next time Im in Douglasville.

The owner is phenomenal! He recommended the chow chow to accent the black-eyed peas and the turnip greens. It was amazing! Very laid back atmosphere 😌. Will be returning.

The best home cooking around! I had the hamburger steak with mushrooms and onions and brown gravy, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and a house salad. It was absolutely delicious 😋! They made the steak fresh and grilled it perfectly, all of the veggies were fresh. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese are 100 percent homemade. It was really good and the price is spot on. I highly recommend that you go try it for yourself. Bon a Petit! 👍👍

Came across this restaurant after looking for a good breakfast spot in the area. The restaurant was cozy and clean and the food was absolutely amazing!! I ordered the shrimp and grits and also had a side of French toast to share with my fiancé. Everything was so flavorful! The owner himself cooked everything and made sure to check on us throughout the meal. I will definitely make sure to come back here whenever I can!

This is a gem. Dont tell too many people because it is a very quaint and quiet hide away. The service is through the roof in this small family operated restaurant. Steve is OVER THE TOP with is magical twist on everything he makes( all from scratchnothing on the menu will disappoint. Enjoy the taste explosion with every bite.

So first time at Burkes I didn’t know what to expect. I was not expecting friendly service & amazing home cooked food. Burkes did not disappoint first glance you see a sign in a plaza from the street & begin questioning if you’re at the right place. You are! The food is amazing & staff is great, professional and attentive. I believe it’s family owned not 100% sure. I visited 3 times before leaving a review , I will certainly be back again.

This was only my second time eating there, I forget about this place. I got the fried catfish with cabbage and Mac and cheese. The fish was cooked perfectly and my sides were fresh. I heard they have a slamming burger. I will have to go more often to give a better review.

Enjoyed Chicken Fired Chicken with mashed potatoes, white gravy & black eyed peas. Finished off my meal with pecan pie ala mode. Had a great chat with Ann Marie. I would highly suggest this restaurant. Comfortable, family style. Noticed a lot of regulars! Worth the try!!!

I love the brunch at Burke’s. It’s consistently delicious and the serving staff is super sweet. I tried the corned beef hash for the first time today and it was the most delicious thing I’ve had since my mama left this world almost five years ago. The grits are also outstanding. I’ve never gotten anything that wasn’t outstanding from Burke’s actually. Thank you for some of the best food around!

We usually come in for brunch on Sundays because the food is always on point and the staff is always on top of making sure drinks are full and plates are taken when empty. We got a togo order on Wednesday and we got the same great service we always get. The food was fresh and still hot when we got home it was just like we was in the dining room. Good food, good service, great staff!

Tried this place while on a work trip.Ordered green fried tomatoes for an appetizer. They were excellent and fried to a nice crispness, although my wife thought they were a little spicy. My wife had the Friday special which is catfish. She ordered it fried. It would have been enough for both of us. My wife liked it but again, just like the tomatoes, she found it to be a little spicy.I had the chicken fried steak and would rate it very good.

My mom and I stopped by after a doctors appointment this week. When I tell you the shrimp and grits is the best I’ve ever had , they were delicious. Our server was nice as she could, the place was a small hole in the wall but very clean and cute. The owner came out and spoke to everyone after they got their food to check and make sure everything was good!! I’ll def be going back

Fabulous entree options to fit anyones taste buds. My wife enjoyed the pimento cheese and bacon omelet and stated that it was a nice treat. I had the flavorrrrful chicken and waffles entree along with the Big Easy Cheesy omelet with andouille sausage and the etcs. My kids had their usual, but no one was complaining about anything except knowing when we can come back!

Went here because google suggested I did and I’m glad I went! The fried green tomatoes were great and I had the chicken fried chicken. Now I’m trying to go back for their breakfast next. Will definitely recommend

Catfish was so good. Lightly fried so it wasnt greasy. Great flavor. Also had the black sheep burger, delish!! First time here. Staff is absolutely amazing and welcoming. I look forward to coming back to try other items on the menu. Thank you for your hospitality.

Stopped by this restaurant today for a quick bite, and enjoyed a cheese steak sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese, which was my way of avoiding French fries. The cheese steak was really good. It’s not the typical thick-shaved beef that I was used to, but it had great flavor and was piled with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. What was best about the sandwich was the bread. It was so soft and airy. The service was also great.

Husband and I tried them for first time this past Saturday. We had breakfast and the food was delicious. Good size portions and tasty food! Im fussy about sausage patties so I almost never get them, but these were wonderful... on the lean side and no mystery bits in them. The breakfast potatoes were good, skin-on the way I like and nice pieces of onion in them.Service was fast and friendly. Our waitress was adorable and attentive... smiley and pleasant. My drink never went empty and I never had to look around or wait for service.I heard they were making lasagna from scratch for a Monday special... and Im thinking Ill need to check that out at some point... considering most other places have it from frozen and Im not into that.Well be back!

First time here. Great little diner with super friendly staff. I had the fried chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce and bleu cheese, and a side of mac & cheese. It was huge and very good. The owner stopped by our table to check on everything. Really nice guy. I will definitely be back.

Surprisingly very very good. The chicken fried chicken was bigger than the plate of of very good quality. The cook was a super nice guy, who came.out to see us. A quite positive experience ✨. Be sure to go in when the main cook is there. When the kids are cooking in the evenings, the food isnt as good.

The food was great and well prepared. The service was excellent. Cannot ask for better experience. I had a great lunch but will certainly return for breakfast on the weekend. Order the meat and three vegetables and you cannot go wrong.

The food here is awesome. The family who owns the business is very friendly. Were new to the area, so this will definitely be one of our favorite spots.
