BurgerIM in Columbus

I had a 3oz burger and fries.Mmmmmm fries, they really are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside!The angus burger I didn’t care much for.The meat is too dry, I’m used to a moist burger 80/20 or 85/15.The vegetables were fresh and if you are used to this type of meat, it would be delicious 🙂

I hate writing bad reviews but I just can’t find anything good to say about this other than the girl that took care of me was nice.Waited 15+ minutes for ice cold unseasoned burgers that didn’t even have all of the toppings I had asked for. It tasted like someone before me had cancelled their order and instead of cooking a fresh burger for me they just kept that one and stuck it in my order and then let it sit around for 15 minutes before handing it to me.The funny part was that she had asked me how I wanted my burger cooked so you’d think it would be coming to me fresh off the grill especially after a 15 minute wait.The place was dead at lunch time and there were only 3 people working there which leads me to believe this is the normal “lunch rush”. I’m guessing this is probably another poorly managed place that won’t survive for much longer (I’m surprised they’ve been there this long!).

I like how on Fridays they host special events for game nights that you cN buy into. Their wings are good to be a burger joint. The burgers are good too!

Went to a game night event and had a great time with some friends and met some cool new people.

Basic run of the mill burger joint. Nothing to wow about. Prices are reasonable.

The server alyssa is very rude, she caught an attitude cause I asked why the prices on their screen says one thing and they’re charging a different price. Then the entire transaction with her was awkward, she was talking to me in a loud tone and was very unfriendly . Food also was not good

I went here for the first time on an unexpected lunch break. Normally, I cant eat out very often as I have pretty difficult dietary restrictions. They were very accommodating, allowing me to check the ingredients on their gluten-free buns and helping to make sure there were no allergens in the burger. For such a simple burger, it tasted pretty phenomenal too. Wonderful experience.

It was just okay the food tasted good and seemed to be fresh the Ohio lottery machine they had was fun but didnt pay much I was just there for a short time in the early evening and they informed me that they closed at 7:30 and that was kind of surprised because thats closing way too early for a restaurant in a big city but anyways I enjoyed myself and it was basically empty there was about five people and most left pretty quickly as it was their closing time but still would recommend for the good flavor of the burger service was okay but nothing spectacular

This place has a GREAT turkey burger, it was seasoned to perfection. Id definitely recommend it, when Im back in Columbus Id eat there again FOR SURE!!!!

Went in for lunch.What I found was an overpriced burger.I heard good things but simply was NOT impressed with the food quality. I have had a better burger at fast food - like Burger King.If this was my first visit I would say it was a fluke - but having been in town and trying it twice this past week I can say it seems to be how things are during the lunch crowd.Speaking of crowd - the place was empty for the most part.I am guessing the food quality is the reason.

Best place for a lunchtime burger in downtown Columbus. There are a lot of options for dietary needs, including vegetarian and gluten-free, and the staff is so helpful and friendly. The food was quick and delicious--I would especially recommend the garlic aioli fries. Tyrinea, who took our order, was very knowledgeable, and super attentive to our table. We met another employee as well, though I didnt catch her name, and she was very lovely and welcoming. Just overall a great place to grab a bite, as well as a Black-owned business. Were not local, but well be back for sure!

We were happy to find a place on a Saturday evening that was actually open. We had a burger and grilled chicken sandwich with fries. They were both brought to our table much faster than I anticipated. The girl that waited on us was friendly and professional. When in the area again we will definitely stop in for a meal again.

I ordered the cookies and cream milkshake. The flavor of the shake was mild and there were no cookie chunks, only a small amount of crumbles on the top. The thickness of the shake did not suit my preference and lastly it melted quickly.

Bomb food. Great service. Warm friendly environment. Staff are very attentive and prompt.

I know this is a burger place, it is literally in the name, but the wings? Some of the best Ive had in Columbus! I got the sweet garlic and was absolutely blown away!! It was fried perfectly -- incredibly delicate and flavorful. And on top of it all, there was freshly chopped parsley on every wing! My only complaint was that it took awhile to get service and get my food. Made grabbing lunch during the week a little difficult.

Went here for a birthday party. The catering options were amazing and the chicken wings were some of the best Ive ever had. Definitely nice place to host an event or wanting to stop in to get a good burger or some good food to eat.

My wife and I first found this place the day we got married and now visit in our anniversary. Today is our second year being married and the second time eating here.

Service is just as good as the food. Great environment to relax, enjoy great food and in a great atmosphere. Top notch place with fast and friendly service.

Came here early day. Had a gin and tonic. Came here at 7:25 for food and a guy (wearing a blue gym sweatertold me they stop taking orders at "whatever time is on my phone."I was looking forward to a Burger at dinner time. I said so hours ago but hey late night runs under different rules.Places friendly or at lunch time but unfortunately I couldnt try the food.

I would not recommend going on the weekends food was COLD NOT TO MENTION I SPENT $37 BUCKS & the you lady that took my order was very rude only my second time eating here. The first time Was during the week during lunch time around 1 pm. I see service during during business hours( WEEKDAYSI would recommend but weekends NO !!

Burgers were tiny and service is not part of the dine in experience. Think fast food, but more expectation to tip. No refills, had to ask for anything like to go containers, and while the price isnt bad, the burger was just underwhelming.

Recently, I had relocated to a new city that I havent spent much time in before--Columbus, Ohio. I made a promise to myself to get out and explore downtown and chronicle my journey discovering the food, fun and exciting offerings that the state capital has. Today is my 3rd full day in town and I find myself at one of best burger joints that I have been in. BURGER IM is an amazing burger joint in the heart of downtown. I was greeted by the sweet lady Tyrinea as I entered the restaurant and she made my ordering a breeze. I decided on the Spanish burger and it was sooo tasty and I appreciated the sesame seed bun and l My only complaint was the over-done patty, as I had ordered medium. It was VERY well done. Aside from that, the fries were plentiful and hot. My server was also charming and she kept my soda filled. In the end, the bill came to a little over $11, which is NOT a bad price at all for not only the location, but also the quality. I try and eat and support local businesseS whenever I can, especially during this pandemic. I am gathering that BURGER IM is a family owned and operated African American business, so I was more than happy to show my support in their culinary endeavors. Go here for lunch... Youll thank me later.

First the customer service was horrible. The young lady who took my order her attitude was awful she was rolling her eyes because I didn’t know the menu. She kept looking over at the other employees like u was taking to long. Then when the food came out it was clear that she paid no attention to what we ordered. My son asked for bacon there was none. I asked for pepper jack cheese on both sliders it was only on one. And they put spinach leaves on my burger. When I clearly ask for leaf lettuce. The gentleman wit the dreads was very dismissive as well. There were less than 5 people in the whole place so I couldn’t understand why they made me feel so rushed. I just want to say basically it’s just nice to be nice especially to someone who is showing nothing but niceness and great manners. Try a lil harder please

The food was great , my sister and I really enjoyed it. Carlos took our order ! He was very sweet and extremely helpful. The food come out hot and it wasn’t a long wait at all. Really enjoyed our over all experience , definitely coming back and bringing friends with me !

Great food. I was talking to one of the employees and after we spoke, she gave me an extra Burger. I told her I order extra food to give to a person that asks for food.My first time ordering at this restaurant and it was quite good besides the bone I found in my chicken sandwich. Also, the Chipotle mayo is not spicy enough. No refills?

We havent even had the food yet but they definitely need somebody else helping guests at the counter. The customer service, especially on a Saturday, is definitely lacking. There was no "hello", no explanation of the menu, she seemed bothered to be at work. On top of that, her mask is not covering her nose. And if theres a section closed off, the available tables need to be clean.

Excellent burgers! My personal favorites are the Angus burger & turkey burger as a duo combo (w. All the free toppings). I also like their version of fries-- lightly fried disc shaped potatos are a nice change from the standard. Service is friendly, but since orders are not prepared in advance, be prepared to wait a few minutes. I think its worth it, but something to be aware of.

I went last year and never rated the place. I stopped in around noon. Felt good supporting a Black owned business. I didnt care for my sides. I think they were some kind of French fries and maybe onion rings. The girl at the counter convinced me to try the lamb burger and it was good. The seasoning and sauce were good. A little pricey but I plan on coming back and trying some of the other burgers.

If I can give a 10 stars, I would give, this was sooooooo good. My first time eating here bws wont see me any more..thnk u

The overall atmosphere of the establishment is pure comfort! The crew was friendly it was clean and the food was delish 👍🏾(at least the crunchy wings thats what I had)I plan to return soon for a Burger. Unfortunately there wasnt much outside seating that particular day, thats a nice feature.

This place actually deserves more recognition! The food was amazing(lamb burger), the environment was extremely casual and friendly! The drink specials are great and the bar tender Felicia was even better. She made sure she kept checking if I needed anything even witnessed her helping her peers. Just a great experience all around!

This was my first visit to Birgerim. The establishment has a nice vibe. Good music playlist and great service. I had a lamb burger with onion rings. I enjoyed it. I definitely will be returning.

Great burgers, weird setup. We went for dinner which maybe was my mistake. I figured it was a counter service kind of place, order at the desk and then have it brought out. Instead it’s a full service restaurant or at least at night. It was all a bit slow, and having the waiter fill my soda at the freestyle machine in the floor was weird. Burgers were good with excellent fries, wish my patty was a little bigger but can you complain, there was only one burger with a bigger size. My guess is they will figure out the service on the back of good food!

A great burger place! The establishment was bright and clean, and the staff were all friendly, polite, and attentive without being overbearing. You can place to-go orders at the counter, or order from a menu for sit-down service, which makes for a nice blend of casual and sit-down atmosphere. All the options looked delicious, and the sandwiches we ordered definitely were (try the Hawaiian salmon!). The fries are circular (from slicing the potatoes into disks), which was a new experience for me (and they were delicious). Definitely check this place out!

We placed our order upon arriving and the kiosk ask for our tip right off. As we never dined here that was a turn off. We got our food rings are fried hard so gums beware. My med well burger was well done. Place has great views and is roomy may try again because everyone has an off day.

We checked the reviews before we received our food, I’d say that the burgers were pretty decent. I would probably eat here again if there were a closer location. Their fries were amazing! They had a lot of flavor! We ordered a small salad, turned out to be pretty big! They could improve their burgers by asking how you would like them cooked. I ordered the wings while visiting Columbus and really enjoyed them. Highly recommend!

The burgers were DELICIOUS but half our party didnt get their food until 30 minutes after the other half.. it was so bad the waitress offered to cover their tabs..

Patty, cabbage, slaw, pineapple vinegaette, barbeque glaze. Portion sizes adequate. Clean, organized environment . I Decided to try something different as opposed to a hamburger whey this or that on it and I went for the Hawaiian Salmon. The most tasty, delicious, wonderful sandwich that was full of flavor and presentation was pretty good too. The HAWAIIAN SALMON BURGER WONT DISAPPOINT. If you dont try anything else you have to have this. THE SERVICE WAS GOOD. friendly group. Id just say waitresses should anticipate what the customers may need, from utensil to condiments to make it have a more intimate, attentive service base to it exceeding expectations from front to back. So gladthe chef came out to speak, such a delightful guy. He told us about up coming events and even posed for a quick picture. Thanks BurgerIM

Went for late evening meal. This place was perfect and food was great. Had turkey burgers sliders and fries. Service was awesome.

Today was my first time stopping in at Burgerim. I have to admit I like the place a lot. The location is perfect to grab a quick bite to eat while downtown. The entire atmosphere is welcoming and well put together. Additionally the staff were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met while dining at any restaurant. Let’s be honest these days most places don’t offer that type of inviting warm hospitality. Almost everyone in the restaurant greeted our party and helped us out with any questions. The food is also great. I had the classic burger with the onion rings. The total price was only about $11. Which is cheap for downtown dinning. The burger was good and had a unique flavor. The toppings were fresh and definitely added to the good flavor. I would recommend Burgerim to anyone looking for a quick cheap bite to eat while downtown. There is metered parking on High street in front of the location and also some parking across the street at the Columbus Commons.

Just went in here today, spent almost $40 on six sliders and two orders of onion rings.The good: onion rings were delicious, although getting five of them for $4 is a stretchThe bad: expensive for what you get, very slow service, cold food, undercooked AND overcooked meat, argumentative staff, no napkins or ketchup available, and dirty tables/restaurant.Came in on a weekday at lunch time and the place was nearly barren. Placed our order with the lady at the counter who was very nice and helpful. Then had to wait 15 minutes for my burgers, and another 10 minutes after that for my dates food to arrive. I refuse to sit and eat in front of someone who doesnt have food for themselves, so I waited for her food to arrive. I then had my cold food once her order arrived. While my food being cold is partly my fault for choosing not to eat until the rest was ready, I wouldnt have had to make that choice if all of our food came out at once, and since we ordered the same exact things, why didnt it?I ordered three burgers, all cooked to medium temperature. Burgers were all gray in the middle, a little chewy and overdone, but otherwise fine.The other member in my party ordered the same burgers, all cooked to medium temp, and was given the burger you see in the picture. We complained to the woman at the register, and were told no refunds, but then we were handed a coupon for our next visit. A little disappointing, but fair enough.However at this point, someone else felt the need to come by our table and ask what was wrong with our food. We showed her the undercooked meat, and we were then told that it was medium, and if we didnt like it, we should stop ordering our meat medium, and instead to order well done next time. This person was extremely condescending, disrespectful, and very disingenuous. Typically its not a great strategy to tell your customers theyre wrong.Also if medium is supposed to be all pink in the middle (which spoiler alert, it isnt! Medium means pink only in the centrewhy were my own medium-temp burgers all gray in the middle? Whose food was actually cooked to medium temperature? A mystery whose answers are lost forever, apparently.The experience wouldve been salvageable if not for the awful customer service.We will not be returning. This place will be gone soon, and I wont shed a tear and I doubt many others will, either. See my pic for a burger cooked to "medium".

A coworker and I stopped in before seeing Hamilton at the Ohio Theater. We picked this place out of the blue not knowing anything about it. We sat at the bar and had amazing service by the owner. He was delightful, helpful, and friendly. He explained everything to us. Our orders came out 100% accurate and very timely. The food itself was good. Not the best burger I’ve had but still very good. I also felt the prices were very reasonable. My friend had 2 beers and I had a mixed drink and then we both had pick 2 burgers and 2 sides and we walked out paying $37. I don’t think that’s bad at all.I work downtown so I would definitely visit again for lunch and if I’m ever in the area for a hockey game or night out.

The best thing about this restaurant is the staff. Everyone was very polite and helpful. The menu was very loaded to it took a moment for us to take it all in and the nice lady taking the orders walked us through. Basically you can customize the hell out of a burger because they will give ya everything you would want to put on it. The burgers are good, and slightly smaller than expected. They tasted good but simple. The Burgerim Fries were ok. The texture of the different cut of fries tastes like a thin pancake type potato chip. They do have a full service bar and the bar tender was very nice and friendly. We had arrived within and hour prior to closing and the entire staff acted like they were just an hour into their shift. Very energetic and upbeat.I will definitely return. Next time Ill try something different as there are many variations.

We came here because it looked like a new place to try! They have some unique patties and different ways to customize your burgers. Note: their burgers are sliders!We got the Trio (Merguez and Lamband customized our toppings, fries, and drink combo, with a side of sweet potato fries.Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating! Street parking is available and a garage nearby.We loved what we got, everything tasted delicious and it was great. We spent about $22with tip, for our meal. I recommend the Merguez patty and sweet potato fries! I also really liked the garlic aioli sauce.This is a good place for a casual date, family outing, groups, and friends. This was a unique experience and I would come back to try their other flavored burgers.

Was more curious than hungry when I saw the “Now Open” sign. I ordered a single Wagyu beef burger with garlic aioli. My recommendation, come hungry and get the garlic aioli...on everything. One burger was a surprisingly filling and satisfying snack. The grilled bun was the perfect finishing touch.The staff was genuinely friendly, the place has a laid back vibe and once the bar opens it will be a great spot to relax and grab a quality, no-fuss meal. Living nearby I know downtown needs more places like this. Glad Burger IM is here.
