Burger Wisconsin in Gisborne

I’ve been a fan of BW in other towns for almost 30 years since they started so while staying in Gisborne I was delighted to see one here…..but there was zero delight in receiving my regular CCC order..Burnt stale bun, miserable salad, 2 of the thinnest slices of Camembert I’ve ever seen (impressed that someone can cut it this thin tbhand about a teaspoon of what I assume is cranberry sauce- flavourless and weird texture, then there was the “chicken” - overcooked tiny pieces and a smear of Mayo….Gone are the days of a delicious, flavour packed burger, dripping in chunky cranberry sauce with a recognisable piece of chicken breast(not sure what they use now?and a crunchy salad where you used to have to wash your face as you could hardly get the juicy burger in your mouth….not to mention copious cheesy goodness.So do yourself a favour and save the disappointment and jog on to somewhere where they have happier staff (slamming doors, freezers, and ingredients downwho know how to make a burger. Miserable staff=miserable burger.

New owners have ruined this Iconic business. Itl die the slow deathGot a bbq grand. The pattie was only 65mm in diameter. And served cold.Shame, used to be so nice and worth the money. Will never be back!

Kai was delicious but I think due to being understaffed it took 45mins to get our food

$17.9 for a Chicken burger, just basic as picture showed, which is super unworth for money. Never come back again.

What a difference a week can make. vege delux not so luxurious this week. Had to bin half of it. Chips not crispy as requested. Oh well cant have delish every time it seemsVege Burger back on track yay-hot crispie chips (we asked for crisp and we got themyummo bun and vege filling lovely to behold. So glad we gave Wisconsin another chance-oops didnt realise it was 2 years since last visit.2 years ago:-Vegetarian Burger plus chips-half filled boxes of fries (we bought 3so expensive! Burger miserably small lacking the niceness that was prevalent 24 months or so ago. Whats happening? Absolutely nothing obviously.

Massive burgers. Its one of those places where you pay 17 or 19 dollars for a burger and still feel like it was worth your money. And its a Nice and relaxed place to sit and dine in as well.

Hy price tag but good for what it is would recomend

Friendly service. Despite being busy with about half hour ish wait they smashed through their orders. Food was hot, fresh and delicious.

It has been 8 years since my last visit which was a hit-or-miss affair, but this time was different. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal which included both a Kiwi Classic and Big Island burger and some sweet potato wedges with a lime shake to wash it down with. Will definitely be coming back.

We are passing through Gisborne and felt like takeaways tonight and considered a few options and decided to Google Best Burger in Gisborne. Up popped Burger Wisconsin - we hadnt had one in years. There are still very good. I had a Kiwi (big sizeand my wife the Cabbie (petite size). They were both lovely! We were able to order and pay online.

Alot of food for not alot of money. Freindly staff, and clean premises.Nice outlook onto the main street.

Burger was tasty, but very overpriced, fries just ok. The "Real" shake was terrible thickened with powder not ice cream,so technically not real. The sooner Gisborne gets a Burger Fuel the better.

The California burger was good. Fries were nothing special and a little soft/soggy. Good eat-in area and 20min wait at a busy time which is fine. Id go back.

Solid 4 stars, burgers vast improvement on Burger Fuel recently dined over a few trips to Tauranga.The burger was well balanced , stacked and not over embellished with gluck, giving a far better experience. Chips were OK, not amazing, reckon they need some flavoured salt options.Service was good, pretty busy Saturday night.Overall, would be back!

Really enjoyed our dinner tonight. We orderd online and our order was ready on time. Burgers were perfectly put together, and were just really yum and fresh. Definitely felt like we got our value for money.

Very nice burger and lovely customer service, compared to other burgers franchise (Carl ... something ). Their customer service are very bad, thats why always quiet there. This Wisconsin store have a great friendly customer service ! I am back to this store several times already and I will keep coming back !

Great burgers.They are very large and really do taste fresh. The buns are soft and the flavours do work really well, not overly busy but worth paying the extra dollar for.

Excellent burger! Very fresh ingredients. Great fast service, exactly what I needed on a cold night! I recommend the BBQ Beef and bacon burger with fries and blue cheese dip ... I was still full the next morning!

Saw the vegan burger poster so bought two today for myself and my friend. Didnt know what to expect. Burger was as small as a Macca one with dark green lettuce (not the lighter inner leavesand one slice of pale hothouse tomato. Overall I was greatly underwhelmed. It was bland. At $15 it would be better to have a fried portobello mushroom or some spice. The patty was OK, as in not great or amazing or anything. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, but would I do it again? Not at $15 for a kiddy-sized burger.

Cant understand if I park outside and place my order online while sitting in the car using the BW App it is cheaper than walking in and placing the order. Unfortunately all this does is take a way the friendly personal touch at the counter and the opportunity to be asked if I want fries with my order. Now when I walk in I get yelled my number, pickup up the order and walk out.

used to be good, now takes them 45 minutes to turn meat into charcoal and then charge you a fortune for it

Ordered 2 burgers, sweet potato chips and onion rings over the internet. Picked up with no issues. Got home and so delicious!!!! Some of the best burgers in Gisborne!!

Burgers good enough to please a couple of picky Americans! We especially enjoyed the California and Fish burgers but also like the blue cheese burger. Recommended!

Lamb Burger with Mint sauce! Best I ever had and real lamb chunks not minced burger meat! Reasonably priced and so tasty! Great ginger beer too. Good for a quick lunch or dinner.

Very disappointed . "The worlds best burger" ? Thats definitely a joke. More like high prices, bad taste and rude staff.You better dont go there.
