Burgers, bar food & Mason-jar desserts are offered with draft & bottled beers in tavern environs.
The online menu was a lie. My family was visiting from out if town and we planned to try this restaurant for 2 weeks. They had NOTHING. 2/5 advertised appetizers. 3 very plain burger choices instead of the large variety the menu showed. We wasted 35 minutes driving here. We did not stay. I wish I could give them -3 stars for wasting my time with their false advertisement. Just awful.
Service was slow, but I think there were only 2-3 people working the whole joint. Fries were good, the rest of the food was lackluster. Only ate here since we were staying at the hotel it is located inside of. One good thing is that kids eat free with and adult meal purchase.
Horrible service and overpriced food, and very limited menu. Prices of drinks aren’t listed on the menu and soft drinks are $7.50 which you are lucky if they refill your drink. My wife ordered a hamburger that came out severely raw. Waitress and bartender were heard arguing throughout the restaurant. Gave us the bill which they overcharged us. Definitely won’t be back.
Convenient and very tasty breakfast buffet.
Service was slow, but they were very under-staffed.
Bartender is the man and burgers are real good! Get yourself a Long Island Ice Tea!!
Hands down the best burger I have had in a decade. I ordered the double with just cheese and could not believe how fresh the burger was. I will surely be going back asap.
Very good burger! But overpriced & soso service.
I come here with my co workers for lunch sometimes. All the servers are really nice here, and the food is solid! We have been back about 7-8 times, a great place for a quick work lunch!
I use to work here it was a terrible experience and all the employees were all rude and drama king’s and queen’s. I had to quit for a major reason due to that!
Really friendly service, pretty tasty veggie burger and awesome fries
Although I had the grilled chicken, which was tender juicy and very flavorful without tasting salty, I noticed a few others with burgers and they looked just as delicious. The fries were a little heavy on the seasoning but still crispy in all the right spots.Burger Theory is located inside the Holiday Inn, but even still, it had its own charm without being over powered by the hotel atmosphere. The bar tender was quick attentive, and courteous. Great service all around. The beer selection was great ranging from IPA to darker brews and local brands.A nice off the beaten path spot, in Columbus.
Good food. The atmosphere is what youd expect from a hotel restaurant. Very friendly server; she was full of pep!
Quick service and very friendly service. I had chicken and it was delicious.
Went there and I had a nice burger it was good I cannot complain it was good and the people there are very good people they take good care of you
I ate breakfast this morning [9-11-2019] at Burger Theory Columbus [a restaurant that is located within Holiday Inn Columbus Downtown Capitol Square, 175 E. Town St.].I had been attending a two-day conference at that particular Holiday Inn and had awakened this morning several hours before the time when the official breakfast of my conference [that would include a speaker] would be served so I decided to eat an early breakfast [in addition to the official breakfast several hours later].Whenever that Holiday Inn is full, a staff member had told me this morning, the Burger Theory Columbus restaurant sets up a breakfast buffet. This breakfast buffet is in addition to customers being able to order directly from the menu. The breakfast buffet this morning had been a wonderful choice for my early breakfast: French toast, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage links, bacon, and sausage gravy and biscuits. The bacon that had been served on that breakfast buffet had been possibly the best bacon I have ever eaten: 1/8 inch thick and absolutely delicious.
Extremely good food and the bartender was really helpful
Great place to eat. Good atmosphere
Food was amazing and are waitress Kristena was very nice to us
They were very understaffed. One waitress was waiting on us and tending bar. Our food sat and wasnt hot hot when it got to us. My order wasnt right either. I dont blame the waitress, she did her best, I blame management for leaving the restaurant in that state.
We came for breakfast and it was pretty good! The man serving us was a little hard to hear but he was a good waiter. The cups were placed upside down on no coaster and the rim of the cup was dirty, I would do something about that. The amount of food I got was not what I was expecting and it was really good. The seats arent that comfortable. I would recommend this place if youre staying at the hotel and youve got a bit of time. Edit. We came back for dinner and there is no sign telling us to wait and we walked in and we got hollered at. Other than that, dinner was great!
Awesome food and comfortable seating. I recommend the farm fresh burger with onion rings!
Enjoyed our visit to the Burger Theory. Parking was a little odd with no Direction also the burgers were overcooked. But the french fries and the onion rings were delicious and the service was good.
For being a restaurant connected to a hotel I wasnt expecting much, however I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burger I received. It was hot and fresh and covered with all the condiments of any fine burger restaurant. I also had one of their dessert cups and it was delicious.
First time customer, all in all, it was good. decent service and food, reasonably priced and no major complaints. These days with restaurants cheaping out on pretty much everything(this is you: Red Robin, Longhorns, everyone else cutting expenses at the cost of qualityanyone making a decent burger is worth visiting again.
They should change the name from "Burger Theory" to "Burger in Theory ". Its a shame because they are in a good location and the bar is nice. It is located in a hotel but that should not matter. The burger meat tasted like it was frozen, not freash. Onion rings were tasty but thats not hard to mess up if deap fried properly. They will need to step up because one could walk a block south to Hadleys or The Walrus and get a fantastic burger. Not a real must try place.
Terrible experience. Signage when you enter doesnt tell you if you should sit or wait to be seated. There is a hostess booth which seems silly since no one approached it for the 10 minutes we stood there. So we seated ourselves. The bartender, busser and waiter all looked eyes with us at some point, but no one approached us. 10 minutes after seating ourselves, we finally got up and left. Just ridiculous
Truly homemade burgers and fries. Nothing frozen or premade. Friendly wait staff!!!
Awesome restaurant.. extremely friendly group of workers
Quick stop in after a play at the Ohio Theatre. Has the big dog ( I know, a hot dog at a burger place? Was pretty good, fries were a little cold and heavy handed on the salt but otherwise a good choice for a quick bite and a drink.
Good food. Nice servers and bartender.
Drinks and food were good, service was amazing... But for the love of God, CHANGE THE MUSIC! I wouldve spent so much more money if the music was better.
Good burger place but nothing special. Very laid back. Service okay.
The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. The server said several times that they were short staffed. Even not having help, it’s inexcusable to wait 10 minutes for a menu and 30+ minutes after eating for the check. Not to mention my order was wrong and he claimed he didn’t charge me for the extras I didn’t get...nope, that was not the price listed on the menu! I thought it would be quicker to eat here at the hotel than go somewhere else as I had evening plans, but all the waiting almost made me late.
Columbus has a lot of burger joints to choose from. How one this good found its way into a Holiday Inn, no clue.
Food was bad made my wife sick and they didnt do anything about it and still make us pay for the whole bill
I love this place. The burgers are the best in town. Daniel was my server each visit and hes awesome and always so polite.
Great place to eat when staying at the very nice holiday in downtown also excellent staff
I was looking around searching for great burger joints and came across this in my search. I got the make your own buger with cheddar cheese, thick cut bacon and a egg. Let me tell you these buggers are so great. I ordered my condiment on the side. And this buger was so flavorful one of the best I have ever ate. And the side bucket of fries was amazing to perfectly seasoned. The waitress was also very nice and friendly great customer service I would recommend this place to everyone.
I got the chicken tenders & fries and when served, I asked What is this? It was way to small to be a chicken tender! It was a greasy chicken scrap.
Food was average and so was the service. The most annoying problem were the flying gnats that kept flying around the food.
FYI this place is inside the Holiday In . We didnt stay at the Holiday Inn, we just stopped by just to have dinner at Burger Theory. We were meeting friends last-minute downtown and when I called ahead, it wasnt very busy for a friday night. Food was REALLY good (Everyone loved their burgers but the kids menu and those that didnt opt for a burger were also really happy). The service was great, our parking was validated for eating there, it wasnt very busy since its in a hotel and we left feeling like we found a secret gem in cbus. We will definitely return just to get some grub.
Decent hotel bar but they had a lot of fruit flies by the bottles and ceiling
I stayed at the adjoining Holiday Inn so I decided to eat breakfast at Burger Theory. All of the staff are very nice, the food was good and it was a nice atmosphere. The have a buffet and menu items. There was alot of food for the price.
Awful food with bad service. Burger King is better. The servers were openly fussing with each other in front of customers and the bar manager acted like this was a normal occurrence.
Got chicken quesadilla and America burger. Asked for medium-well, but was cooked past well done. Chicken in Quesadilla was over cooked as well. Apparently there is a heavy-handed chef. But service was awesome!
I was a guest at the Holiday Inn and weather was bad so I tried this place. Order a Farm Fresh Burger off the menu, nothing special. It took over 30 minutes and the food still not showing up. They were only about 25% fill with guests at the bar and 3 other tables, so its not packed. NO excuse for the delay. After several attempt by the waitress trying to tell me it will be just another minute, I left after 40 min. Cant say anything about the quality of the food since I didnt have a taste test. 8(
I wish there was 6 stars. Best burger and fries ever. They need to stock a quality NA beer like BECKS, Buckler, St. Paulie girl or Kaliber then I would just move in.
I have never written a review but after eating here, I had to. 5 stars only because there isnt 6 or more. My wife and I were not really that hungry but wanted to eat so we didnt have to go out later. We decided to split a single with lettuce, tomato, American cheese, bacon, ketchup and mayonnaise. It was absolutely the very best hamburger we have ever eaten. So much so in fact that we ordered another one to share instead of the planned desert and it was just as wonderful as the first. If you like hamburgers, you will love these and if you dont like hamburgers, its because you havent had one from Burger Theory. You wont be disappointed.
This restaurant brings a new concept to dining in the Columbus downtown area. Very nice atmosphere, excellent menu and well-prepared food. The service staff is very attentive. Its good to have an additional dining option for lunch in the Capital Square area.
