Burger King in Tauranga

This is the closest BK to me, 35 minutes away. Our family loves it but with it being that far away we dont get out there much, so can you imagine how annoyed wed be if we got home and something was missing. Lucky the mrs caught it, she said the bag was light and checked sure enough we were a whopper down. Well we turned right back around pulled up on them ready for war like "ae yo wea da #### my burga at" but thankfully there was no need for that the whopper was there waiting they apologized profusely and all was good. At the end of the day its always best to check your bag before you drive off youd hate for your mrs to not get the whopper.

Unfortunately, we had the worst BK weve ever eaten tonight. It was truly awful - soggy buns, reheated meat patties, old fries, flat soft drink. The single star is for the friendly service.

Asking for masks to be worn when ordering food or even walking around in there. After this requirement has gon,e is a bad business decisionThe place was empty when we walked in, and l four of us had to leave as we had no masks.Needless ro say we went to McDonalds instead

Not sure what the New York Steakhouse is doing on the Kings Collection menu. I bet I could fit my bacon, tomato and lettuce all on 1 teaspoon. One bite gets all the onions, the next gets all the gherkins. Tables were filthy and staff just seemed miserable.

Disgusting food and service that “manager” needs to be in a white walled room not dealing with any human. Burger was trash and cold. Disturbing place and service, not surprised by the reviews.

Manager and asian gir are very rude and they dont know how to talk with customer. I felt disrespectful and some kind of discrimination.

Ordered 2 double whoppers, one pattie was burnt and dry, everything tasted bitter and burnt. You shouldnt have served it in the first place. I was hungry from swimming and this is what I get.

Went there a few days ago and the place was closed. Disrespectful employees standing inside talking while we were trying to get in. No explanation or sign as to why they were closed or when they will open.

I wish covid didnt make this space look so grotty with all the yellow tape & such! It was pretty dirty last time I was there even without the tape. I have had a mix bag of exceptional staff & then other times, below par.

Half the tables blocked off due to covid - fair enough. But one of the stools with no seat on a table in use... Seriously??? With covid, could also do a lot more to make the full menu available in more than one place.

I asked for a cup of water for my 18 month old baby after spending $58 in the drive through. I was told I had to buy the water. I just wanted tap water in a cup. But was flatly refused. Wont be going back there.

BAD BAD BAD. Worst customer ever experienced. Felt like the place was hardly open at 6PM on Monday night. Stood there for 3 mins and no one was around to serve. The manager who served did not show any hospitality. They absolutely didnt care if we where they or not. Asked to eat in with no reply. Takeaway bag received popped on the counter. Totally understand its fastfood and all that. This place shocked me and I have seen loads of average places. You guys won Mount Maunganui BURGER KING. OHH FOOD WAS OK. CHIPS WERE NICE.

Ordered Uber eats. Was told 20 mins. An hour and 20 later. Nothing. Then order cancelled leaving us with no food and it’s 10pm and unable to order food elsewhere as it’s too late. Appalling service.

I went to burger king a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a whopper combo but the guy behind making burgers named Alex made my burger like a piece of cardboard then I threw it out. Tasted like awful

Im giving this particular Burger King 5 stars not just because the Whopper tasted whopping but because it was the cleanest BK me and my dad have ever gone to. Good job!

Havent been to BK for years, so decided to go for lunch today. Sadly wont be going back. It wasnt busy, the tables hadnt been cleaned. The burger looked quickly slapped together and was disappointing. The lime super shake tasted like chemicals, thank God I only had a sip. Get your act together BK!

Been there couple times , buy their deals they have on the coupons catalogue, got the 2x whopper junior deal with chips was pretty good cant complain. Havent been disappointed when going there unlike the other feedback. My workmate ordered a rebel whopper (vegetarianand got back to work with a double whopper with cheese no salad cant say it was bad because I was cracking up at him what you get when you buy fake meat lol

As usual very poor customer service. Dealing with juveniles who clearly have zero experience or correct training. Toiler facilities are a disgrace. Sort it BK PLEASE

Waited for 15mins for drive thru even tho I had pre-ordered with the app. Normally love the Rebel Whopper but the patties were borderline inedible. Very disappointed

They wouldnt give me a cup of water with my meal. Told me I could buy a plastic bottle. I asked if I could fill up my own cup with water. They said no. So I cancelled my order and left. Its not the money, its the plastic. Also, who refuses a cup of water to a thirsty person?

I dont normally review popular fast food joints because, well everyone knows what they taste like. This time, Burger King left me really disappointed. Cold burgers, squished together, not at all like what you see on the menu. Saving grace were the fries... Hot and yummy. Probably wont go back.

Service is good usually and staff are usually friendly in store sometimes staff dont listen properly so i have to repeat myself . Sometimes burgers are cold right through but generally yum and hot ! The drinks almost taste like the real thing in supermarkets. Ice cream sundaes could have room for improvement but their are still yum . Staff also dont listen properly sometimes on drive thru. Everything else excellent

I used to love this place as a kid. And it hasnt changed in 20 years. It still filled with 16 year olds and still sells great burgers. Drive through is ok. But seating is a bit limited at times.

This restaurant has some truly luscious vibes. I love the burgers definitely some top tier food and the employees are lovely. I can definitely say me and my friends have had many a great time here.

Came through Drive last night and ordered a Rebel Whopper combo. Customer service was rude. Im often understanding as I work in fast food myself however I didnt feel valued as a customer at all. The DT order taker sounded impatient and showed no enthusiasm at all. I drove to the window to pay and receive my food only to receive my burger and fries which were actually delicious... However, I never received my water which I asked for with my combo. I waited and even honked my horn but no one cared to see if everything was okay. Two ladies on counter continued to laugh and not pay any attention. Please take action

Food was good, but the atmosphere was not good as there were a couple of homeless looking guys in separate seats not eating just sitting staring at us. They had shades on and had been there awhile as we had walked past earlier. Made us feel uncomfortable.

Place is empty, I wonder why ?. Went in for coffee and was served without a smile, certainly no customer service skills maybe a bit of retraining needed. Great WiFi give them that. Also needs people to tidy up. Not good at all.

Hands down the WORST customer service!Tills were broken through drive through so told to walk in. On doing so our sundae spoons were biffed across the counter and her back turned on us. Service as grubby as the state of the store👎

I was less than impressed when in your Mt Maunganui store this morning at the filth of the premises. The toilet areas both Ladies and Gents smelt vile and nobody was in them not had left recently according to a staff member, the state of the floors, walls and general cleanliness was horrible. I noticed from the counter area when waiting for my order that serving area hadnt been cleaned "PROPERLY" for quite some time, the grime was old as was above a tall machine to the right side of the server where I pulled items from it including bottle caps, a suction hook, straws and plastic spoons that were obviously there for months. I mentioned this to the server "Michelle" - nice young lady who was seen talking to a senior operator who looked back and me and physically shrugged. The Table booth I sat at hadnt been wiped down for a long period of time either as the sticky spillage was engraved into the dirty vinyl seating cover along with the paper napkins shoved into the creases. Cmon Mt Maunganui Store get your act together and have someone be responsible for checking the staffs work in the cleaning divisions! The food and the server were great but totally let down by the lack of cleanliness in the store. Reminder that this was around 9am so should not have been to that level of utter filth in a food and hygiene area! I look forward to returning on a regular basis to see if improvements have been made in ALL areas. Not just at eye level where staff seem to be cleaning the table tops only. Check underneath them if you game, wear gloves!

Never again. Litter all over the outside of the building, even someone else that wasnt even in Burger King came in to complain about it. Tried to order a frozen drink with my meal as I couldnt get a hot one because the machine was broke . Couldnt get a frozen drink because that machine was broken. So I just said Ill just get a soft drink. Nope cant because they cost more so just give me a dollar refund to then buy a soft drink. Every single one of the soft drinks were flat. At this point we gave up.Took our meals out to eat in the car because the place was scruffy, got to the car no syrup for the hot cakes we bought so went back in for the syrup. Took about 5 mins to get that. Absolute joke. Sort it out. Beautiful location but horrendous fast food.

Went to Burger King 👑. tonight and was very disappointed, first step in the door and every table was dirty drinks were spilt all over the floor, ordered our meal sat down and we had no chips 🍟 but had potato nuggets, when I questioned this they said oh we have sold out of chips and gave them instead, but we werent told at the time. Then when we went to get a drink there was no ice, the drinks were warm, so we had to swap our drinks out and swap them for frozen drinks, again we werent told so there was a line of people trying to exchange there drinks. Also there were no milkshakes or icecreams available, so all and all very disappointing. The staff at the counters seemed unaware of what was going on in the cooking area behind so couldnt inform us of the changes to our orders. They were very apologetic though and I understand that it wasnt there fault but the fault of the management team.

Great place. Well set up. Great location. Food is standard (same as other BKs).Sadly Ice-cream machine was not working (10/01/2019 lunch time), but Sunday in the combo was compensated by Chicken Nuggets (which was greater or equal value).Happy with the compromise. Happy with service. Happy with food.

Great place for fast food, with some options of health ones. We went on Boxing Day and the place was packed. I was going to give a lower grade , the service was decent and it was dirty not because of the employees, but because of the customers who didn’t dispose their left overs in the rubbish bin, leaving many tables full of cups and stuff. They should be aware this is a fast pace environment which relies on their customers to keep it clean.

That would have to be the worst experience I have ever had, not just burger king but all other establishments I have eaten in. First we lined up for over 30mins just to place our order. There was only one counter working and 4 staff in total. We finally got our order placed and was given the drink container. There was no ice in the machine, and the drink was warm and was flat. Spoke to your staff member who said she would take care of but never did due to lack of staff or didnt have the time. The meal took another 20 minutes to arrive and the food was like the service, very poor. Being of an older age, in my 60s and having been in hospitality myself the service and the food was definitely not up to the Burger King standard I would expect.
