Burger King in Taupo

Friday night restaurant closed at 8.30🤔🤔🤔 drive thru only open

No operating hours displayed, no open or closed sign. Terribly unpleasant staff.

Good in fast food options. Fast service.

Indian lady in the counter was rude and the pakeha lady near the drive thru counter.

Now.. my two little gremlins are very picky with what they eat and they demolished this meal! The hubby enjoyed as well (a first!and ‘twas delivered very quickly! The reason this is a 4 star perhaps is the amount of crumbs and crust everywhere… still 9/10 top notch.

Warning alert stay away.As someone else said -Dont do it, this is the worst BK Ive ever had world wide. Staff rude, food chips cold, burger meat burnt and dry. Manager and owners clearly dont care and rely on idiots like us wanting BK and getting nothing but stomach ache.Got take away so to long to go back to complain. Ashamed I gave it to the Possums to eat on highway 5!

Great burger , clean, and quick

Customer service here was non existent. Had to wait to be acknowledged even though we were the only ones in the store. My burger was tasteless and the pattie was barely warm. Rubbish bins were overflowing, the floor was filthy and we couldnt find a table that was clean. Cant recommend this place

Hi I dont usually complain when getting fast food as I never really expect too much for what I am paying . But when I went through the drive through today at Taupo there was a very very large sign advertising the new sweet sour burger value meal for $5 when I went through to place my order they informed me it was now $6 due to a price increase . Thats fine but take the time to alter your signage technically they are obliged to honour the incorrect pricing as they have it displayed .

Although it took a couple minutes to get my order the chicken was over cooked and then the coke tasted off

Got a really cold burger today everything in it was cold and cheese was not melted at all, almost as if they forgot to cook it or heat it up or whatever. Pretty disgusting considering it’s one of the better places to eat in Taupo

the young guy working in there 2day swearing why is the milk shake machine always broken no wonder every 1 goes to McDonalds

Had a very rude lady at the front desk who should not be working.. horrible customer service

Tbh I like burger King a lot but when I went to it today I had the worst customer service ever! Now Im not hatter but it took them over an hour to say to go through the drive through so my advice put a sign next time. Overall I liked everything except for the bad customer service

One of the female staff had such fantastic customer service, that I had to tell her.She deserved a pay rise and a promotion.The store itself is very tired looking and does need a spruce up.I wouldnt recommend the non beef patty as it was awful.

Didnt like the shakes. Had chocolate, rather bitter. Chips werent hot. Husband had a surpreme cheeseburger...looked not nice...

Dont do it! Its your own fault if you do, as there are so many other options close by.Clearly the owner doesnt care about business or they would be serious about who they employed, or giving them some basic training.Cold rubbery food with a flat warm coke, and to top it off rude service where they dont talk to you but just thumbs up to you.

Great service from Dez everytime. Happy, smiling and efficient.The burgers always look fresh....but the fries could be more salty.

To start with they got my order wrong and I was already out of town before I realized, the burger was soggy and inedible. Worst Burger King iv ever been to!

Seriously if I could give Taupo Burger King Zero star and complete this review I would have, they cant get the orders right leaving out burgers (pretty important), never have stock of whats on the menu, and taking orders for burgers, making yourself wait and then telling you that they are of of stock when get to the payment window, and arguing with customers over their orders. Thats just the last (the very last cent I spend3 times I have gone there. Burger King (which I normally like Taupo doing you proud NOT!

These mofoz burnt the hell out my patties. Then I watched as they locked their doors while customers were still dining in (no signage was posted whatsoever).At least 8 potential customers were trying to open the door and with most of them opting to go to McDonalds whos management of foot traffic was clearly better.Get BETTER...

Staff are ALWAYS rude, have never seen one of them smile. The only good thing about this place are the Hershey pies. Every time I’ve bought churros here they have always been undercooked. ASKED FOR CHOCOLATE AND GOT CARAMEL SAUCE >:(

Advertised food on their menu but everything I wanted to order they couldnt provide it just reminded me why I never go to Burger King

Indian lady (accentat the drive through speaker was very pushy, not cool when youre trying to organise a van load of kids, though in her defence I shouldve been sorted because the wait was very long! 45min after ordering and half the kids burgers were cold. I was to annoyed to go back and if they didnt have such affordable feeds in comparison to Macas Id never go back

Karan, the manager at the Taupo branch was quite rude. He served another lady before me, although I was clearly there first, and I felt discriminated against. When I pointed out I was there earlier, he apologised, but then barked excuse after excuse at me as to why hed done that, and made me feel worse. The food was ok but I wont be back.

Went here at 6pm 12 Jan ,the food was OK. But the staff were disinterested. Every table needed wiping , there was drink spilt on the floor which had obviously been there for some time and water all over the floor in the ladies. A very disappointing experience! Taupo isreally letting the brand down.

Terrible! Waited over 30mins with less than 10 cars in the drive-thru. McDonalds next door, had a line 3 times longer and got through it before we reached the ordering screen. Chips were cold and stale.

Honestly, the burgers wasnt that great but the chips were nice. However, the drink machine was warm as and flat. No ice to top it off. The toilets needed a clean 😞

Food was great. The person that served us was so rude, I almost cancelled my order. Certainly not going back there again!

Worse and pathetic service at Taupo burger King. Very poor customer service, staff has no manners at all. It was our one off stop yesterday at Taupo on our way to palmerston north from Auckland. My vaccine pass got scanned properly but unfortunately my husbands vaccine pass was not scanning. The staff demanded for ID. My husband was trying to tell the staff that he has his ID copy on his phone but the staff was not prepared to listen to him. She was yelling at my husband and asking him to leave the store & wait outside till I get served. I tried to talk to staff to explain I have his vaccine pass on my phone But she was just not listening to us. Rather she worked off & demanding him to leave the store. I felt very bad the way she treated us. Felt like racist aggressive arrogance behaviour from the staff. She didnt even gave us chance to speak out. It was not our fault that they device could not scan properly because my husband has used his vaccine pass at multiple places in Auckland without any issues. I spoke with the store manager he saw the ID & he was OK with it. He did apologise but it was just an unacceptable treatment we got. Felt so unfair & sad with the whole experience. Regretly we went to Macdonals and the service was totally opposite to Burger King.

Nice friendly staff...seemed very short staffed as took a while to get food at final window...the tray/counter at window was covered in ANTS, and the food below average, cold soggy fries, burgers so squashed that we had a hard time working out which was which & the wrapper on one was disintegrating...the flavour is always great...but would be nice if staff where a little nicer to the food they were putting in the bag as looked like ours had been thrown in there!

today I have accidently ordered a Rebel Whopper instead of Regular Whopper, Once I got home I thought they gave me the wrong burger, I called them they said to come back then they repeated my APP order from earlier and I realized I ordered incorrectly, they were really great and still gave me the correct burger even though it was my error... thanks BK Taupo you guys are great!

Food is good. Service is distinctly average. I like flame grilled but I hate overfull rubbish bins filthy windows doors and glass partitions. This with broken outdoor seating really epitomizes the difference between McDonalds and Burger King. One trains staff in all aspects of Service and Standards and BK Taupo is way behind in all aspects. Another thing, the picture of the burger I ordered had beetroot but the burger received didnt.......

Staff were nice ..and I suspect the burger was okay when it was originally made ..but Im not sure when that was....I guess there is a reason why the Mcdonalds was busy while BK was dead quiet. Someone really needs to come in and work out what is going wrong in this place....and maybe sort out Napier while they are at it. For now I think we shall just have to forget about BK. Shame.

Was going to get McDonalds but the drive thru line was long and not moving. Should have known why BK was empty. Meal was disgusting. Everything tasted like hand sanitizer. Our previous experience at BK Taupo, 2 years ago was also sub par. Should never have given them a second chance.

Worst meal ever. It was not busy in drive through,staff was doing nothing around. Burger and fries were cold. I asked them, can I have another one they just give me the same thing with crushed tissues in it. Really disappointed.

Staff in rush and got order wrong, had to correct at payment window, then missed out one of our burgers, had to go back and get it and they didnt even say sorry. Has an automated message at order box that only partly in English so most people wont understand. Will be never going back to this BK.

One word to describe the customer service at the Taupo Branch,"SHOCKING!!!!!" 2 drive through stations to take orders,we pulled up to the 2nd one & WAITED while several vehicles on the other station just breezed!!!! through.When asked if theres something wrong with the other station,the young Girl said,"OH it plays up"👎👎👎👎👎I write SEVERAL Feedback/Reviews to you the,Paying Customer Awareness & Other Options.WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN.Sorry Burger King,Ill stick to Maccas!

Worst BK ever the only staff that are friendly are the indians. I went through the drive thru and they gor both my orders wrong then when i finally got my order the nuggets were missing and so was the hershie pie. I was waiting for my hershey when the girl said if im still waiting for something they obviously werent busy and i had to tell her whats missing which i shouldnt have to

Chips were fresh n hot. Burger was filling but the prices dont balance out compared to what u get. Otherwise good friendly service by the young man at the window

Absolutely shocking drive through service.. couldnt complain about the service as there wasnt any. I sat in the queue for 10 minutes without moving until the 4wd in front of me jumped the curb to get out.. I followed him then went to MacDonalds next door and in spite of it being Friday night dinner rush time was served and on my way home within 3 minutes..Absolutely appalled at BK. Little wonder they went bust considering this event.

The place was pretty disgusting. We were there for like 20 minutes and two tables of eaten food were left there the whole time we were there, and before we even arrived. The floors were covered in trash.Food was ok, but still recommend going to the McDonalds next door.

Staff were not customer serviced trained properly. A bit rude and I was short changed when I was supposed to get 2 fries with my meals that I had ordered, but found out that they had not provided it in my bag. Best to check your meals properly at the counter before leaving.
