Established family-run restaurant in an 1824 cottage on the cliffs offering dining and ocean views.
I wonder was it the amazing sea views or was it the delicious food...but certainly this restaurant has that combination of food, service, value for money and ambience to make a perfect night.
Superb.Splendid views, friendly staff and a diverse, flavourful menu.
Fabulous menu, superb service, can’t recommend it enough!
Had a lovely meal here tonight. The monkfish was lovely and my husband had steak which was lovely.Lady serving us was so nice and efficient. Will be back.
Group of 10 of us went here on Saturday night. Poor food and poor service. Very disappointing.Steaks: 8 of our group ordered steaks- 5 of them didnt finish them.Poor cooking of steaks. (One member of group asked for no blood - came out medium rare (bloody)). Was sent back and everything was reheated. Could have put the potato through the window it was that hard.Mustard / pepper sauce for steaks was dreadful. (Consistency of water with no taste).Vegetables were as good as raw.We couldnt cut the roast potatos with the steak knives.Squid ink pasta dish was bland and tastless after being told was staff it was lovely and spicey. (Left behind half of it.)2 of group ordered selection of fudge for dessert. 6 small cubes of fudge thrown on a plate. No presentation at all. We could do nothing but laugh at this stage.Had to wait 15 mins for a bottle of wine mid meal and had to request the bill twice at end of night as staff all seemd to dissappear.Complained quietly to manager about how poor everything was. Nothing done. Nothing offered as compensation. Manager disappeared after the complaint.Could maybe understand a few errors if it was very busy, but was extremely quiet this night. (Can perhaps now see why). Will not be returning here or recommending unless there are dramatic changes. New menu is poor and execution of meals was worse.
My husband and I visit Bunnyconnellan Restaurant when we are visiting Cork. We always highly recommended it as the food was always delicious but when we visited it today it was so disappointing. They have a new menu but I think they must have a new chef as everything from presentation to food quality was disappointing. The starter of breads although a huge portion, were very dry and not good. The starter of scallops were overdone. My husbands fillet steak was just luke warm and served rare and not medium rare as requested. It was also dry. The mustard/pepper sauce was awful. I had the brazed lamb, a type of Indian dish, which was tender but very dry and the presentation was awful too. We didn’t even bother with the desserts. I usually take photos of the food to show to the family but everything just looked awful. Very disappointing!
Amazing restaurant with delicious food. Lovely helpful staff. The view is breathtaking, great place for romantic dinner , highly recommend.
Meal was high quality with spot on flavors and great composition. The view outside is fantastic too.
We been eating here for few years we didnt give any review before but today we try the new menu its fantastic we really emptied the plates 😋 really satisfied with the quality and the taste of of food and the staff were very friendly
Lovely food with good service and friendly staff.
Visited for my birthday. The staff were friendly and inviting and the restaurant itself is lovely. The view is spectacular. The let down is the food itself. Everything was really bland and underwhelming. Kind of tasteless. The pork dish wasnt great at all. The potatoes tasted like frozen from a bag and the veg was just onions and red peppers. We asked for some extra seasonal Veg and they brought us another plate of onions and red peppers.
Fabulous views, excellent staff , delicious food
Had a lovely meal tonight. The staff are friendly and attentive….Well what can I say about the scenery..It’s actually heavenly Will be back soon!
All the food we ordered were very disappointing except the desserts. The starters were tiny and the cheese seemed not so fresh the mains were just simply under our standards - and were not snobs Id say. The menu was poor. But the desserts were amazing surprisingly. The staff is very amateur but at least very kind. The restaurant was my absolute favourite but not anymore. Actually its way far from the quality we used to get there.
Fantastic view, polite and helpful staff and the most important of all that is usually ignored when you have the first 2 is food; here the food is tasty, the potions are very good and the menu has a couple of items that are creative not just your regular steak and chicken dishes.
Gorgeous place food fantastic staff great and prices spot on
A beautiful lunch was had on our way to Clonakilty.....it was out of our way to be honest but it was something we had planned to do, one of the items on our bucket list, if you will. Lovely food, staff & sunshine.
The restaurant changed a lot. The biggest problem now is the food. When you get the menu it is like you don’t have options. For a restaurant by the sea should have at least a fish and chips. My fish was so acidic that gave me mouth ulcers, my husband minestrone soup was like water with stocking. Terrible. The dessert menu was ridiculous.
Picture perfect location with polite, attentive staff. The menu was varied and interesting (probably a bit too high brow for me if Im honest!Portions were generous and it was well priced. Absolutely love this place - especially the new seating area round the back!
Absolutely delightful … Great location , (location, locationgreat food and service to match .Real friendly staff.. And really nice ambiance… Another favourite spot .. Highly recommend ( should book in advance especially if you want a seat by the window..Thank you guys
We have been in Ireland a year and lived fairly nearby, but never knew about this spot until we recently stumbled upon it for lunch. Wow, what a view! Beautiful large outdoor seating area atop a hill overlooking the ocean and Irish coast of southeast county Cork. It was a beautiful day, so that helped. Definitely bring sunglasses and maybe a sweater if sitting outside (no umbrellas at the table at least on that day). The food was quite nice. They had veggie options, and one in our party got clams and loved them. The establishment is clean and well run. Service was very good. Limited beer offering for lunch fyi, but overall a very pleasant experience. We will be back.
Wow! Had the chicken liver parfait and the beef cheeks both were superb, the help was more then fantastic and the view outta this world! It was the highlight of our trip to Ireland! My girlfriend had goat cheese salad and it was great, to be honest of risotto was way salty for us but again the manager took it off the bill! GO HERE! U DESERVE IT! LOVE, LOVE LOVED IT
It a place which l know for many years, before covid everything was perfect ! Today I had visit it again after that break, and I wont say Im disappointed but something had change. And Im not so sure if I like those changes. The food is not surprising but its tasty.
This was my first visit to Bunnys since it reopened and my friend and I were delighted. The view was as fabulous as ever and the food was fabulous too. The monkfish and calamari risotto was sublime- what am I saying, everything was!
Lovely setting, staff friendly. Menu basic with limited choice. Particularly sick stomach immediately after visit. Unfortunate as we had been looking forward to revisiting and were delighted when the venue reopened recently.
This is a great place to visit. Have been going here for years. Made my first summer stop here today. And sorry to say was very disappointed with the service we called in with our two kids had 4 soups but was not great for the money asked the waitress for some butter. And strews for the kids drinks and did not receive any. 36euro for 4 soups and 3 soft drinks. The old menu was much better. This one is to flooded with sea food needs more options.
The restaurant is one of my favourite. The location is the best ever with a superb view. Highly recommended if you are around the area however during the weekend is very busy specially when the weather is nice.So reservation should be made beforehand. We were satisfied with our food. They were tasty and served nicely. The portions are big as well. The staff is very good and helpful however sometimes you need to wait a bit longer but then you have enough time to enjoy the view hiely recommended 👍👍👍💯💯👍👍💯
Great food, perfect service, so beautiful view. Kids were soo happy with meal and desert, best steak and husband said, best lamb we ever eat. High recommends and we will come again for sure. Thanks to all stuff, you was amazing.
Amazing food with fabulous views. Staff so friendly. Would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
Great food, great view, great service.
Great setting, service on point. Spacious inside out with enough place for everyone. Wide range on the menu, with affordable prices, portions big enough. Food was served nicely and tasted really fresh and good. Must visit if in vicinity, if not for the food at least for the view.Edit: this guy who is complaining with 1 star review is daft clearly. My experience: My family (4 of uswalked in from the beach in the most busy time of the day 16.30h. When asked for reservations I replied that we didnt know its gonna be that busy (sunny dayand the would just like to eat and go. We were seated as there were enough tables. Its just stupid to reserve a table online when you can call the establishment.
Excellent food, unbelievable scenery. Well worth a visit.
Lovely place, lovely views, friendly staff. Food is very expensive for what you get. Medium-sized portions, but entirely tasteless (ordered battered scampi & vegetarian menu).
Had dinner here today, fabulous food lovely views and extremely friendly staff knowledgeable about the area (greatnot expensive either
Amazing place with awesome food and lovely attendance as always! The view on outside is spectacular!A good choice for all occasions.
Great food, incredible views and the staff are wonderful too. Could not reccomend it strongly enough, particularly on a sunny day.
Beautiful views across the bay from the dining area. Great food as well at reasonable prices. Make a reservation to get a window seat. Polite and helpful staff.
This place has amazing views and great food. Menu is simple but the dishes are delicious. Would recommend to book a table in advance as they get pretty busy.
Seriously good food ,. Beautiful views and very good value for money
Nice place... Maybe needs a small renovation inside, but ok. Fantastic views. I had fish & chips but it wasn’t anything special, chips below average, fish maybe too dry... but that was an exception, the rest of the meals was excelent! Starters oh my and deserts dreaming... My colleague with his sirloin steak was super happy... Murphy’s beer is very well served here...
This is my 2nd time here. It has lovely food and the view out to sea is fabulous. Plenty parking too. Service is brilliant. Well worth a visit.
Wow, what a location especially if you can get a table outside when the weather is fine. Attention to detail by staff is not great, the outdoor area tends to get quite littered by diners due to the breeze, which a few minutes cleaning up would solve, but staff tend to ignore it. Our cutlery was soiled and they replaced it when asked but there was no apology. Service is pretty good and the food was tasty. We didnt feel rushed even though the place was busy. It
Amazing view from the restaurant. Really good food. Parking avaliable at site. Sandy beach under the restaurant.
The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Definitely recommend this place!
Lovely food, would recommend the steak. The view is amazing - looking out over the ocean - whether youre sitting inside or out. Parking could be a bit awkward for bigger cars but theres plenty of space for smaller cars. Despite the crowds, it doesnt feel cramped inside, though they are usually busy so booking a table in advance is best. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful whenever possible. Not cheap but definitely affordable. A great place for a sunny lunch or a warm evening dinner. Theres also a small beach at the base of the hill if you feel like wetting your toes while your food digests.
Beautiful views, great setting , food is brilliant service great. Ample seating outside to enjoy some sun , sound of sea and the view, they now kindly provide a blanket for the late chilly part of evening to those seated outside, very nice touch

I could walk here from my AirBnB and this restaurant has amazing views to go along with the delicious food and my favorite cider on tap, Orchard Thieves. Highly recommend. I ate here twice!
Food: Good quality food, very tasty with good portionsService: Always paying attention, fast and very welcomingAtmosphere: the decoration is well suited for a restaurant near the coast and is very relaxingAdditionnal information: Free Wi-Fi and a large parking areaVery pleasant evening for sure !
Just spent a wonderful afternoon with friends here. Was lucky enough to catch a sunny day.We had a table outside on the terace, the food was great. Had a chauder and roasted duck.I would advise you to make a reservation as the place can get really crowded.
