Bunka - Japanese restaurant in Dhaka, Bangladesh
The Biriyani was absolutely fantastic. The behavior of the staff was even better. Thank you guys.
Food was good but not great
Had buffet lunch with my colleagues here. Tasted 40+ items and food experience was good. The window view from this floor will give you close to the nature because of Gulshan Lake. Also visited their skypool and gym.Food rating: 9/10Service rating: 9/10Place rating: 9/10Overall rating: 9/10
It was wonderful trip. I was feel like home.Staff are so friendly and cooperate. Bunka which is my favorite restaurant, food was so yummy and delicious. .Thanks Six Seasons for great experience!
Great Food and Great People! Espicially Mr. Mahbub Hasan Shuvo!
May be my test buds are not prepared yet to test too much sauce in almost every dish that I had. Not convinced and satisfied with the food.
I really dislike it. Too much overpriced for the food. Its like 500 taka buffet
Food quality is not at par of this level of hotels & restaurants. It was much better when I visited last time in 2019.
I didnt like any main dishes offered on their iftar buffet.
This resturent, balcony seating presents a very calm and romantic atmosphere with optional candlelight dining. Bunka is truly the best oriental restaurant for me
Avoid if you are going for iftar.... very crowded beacuse of the seating arrangement.... foods get cold and taste blant
Nice place. Good environment.Best for family party, office party.Just loved this place
We have 2 days workshop and the restaurant manager is very cooperative as well as the staffs. Bangladeshi food menus were tasty. The pictures were vorta which were delicious but a bit less spicy
Got takeaway from them and all I have to say is their food is mouthwateringly good. Every item impressed us so much and having Desi parents of course there’s a pressure of what you serve in a family dinner and I am so happy that everyone at the table loved it. The server was really helpful while deciding what to get over the phone and he also was kind enough to give complementary chicken teriyaki which also itself was a very excellent dish. It was tender and juicy which a lot of restaurants fail to get right. My favorite from the menu would be the salmon and beef Teppanyaki. Also the cream of mushroom soup has my heart. It’s so creamy and rich, definitely one of the best I’ve had in Dhaka. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
They are so good. Their service is best. Their foods are so tasty. Its service buffet dinner. Its my first time in life as a Japanese cuisine buffet. Here you can eat unlimited Japanese food and shushi. I have attached the menu for you as you can know
We had lunch at Bunka on the first of January 2022. Food tasted okay. Soup and appetizers were okay. I suppose the main course was not bad. But I didnt eat the same food that a mossala-pishar-beti will be able to make. So the only option were a very few Thai-Chinese items. The fish with oester sauce was delicious, but the other one was chilli chicken. Which just had bare bones, absolutely no meat. Decert was also okay. I have eaten at the Bunka many times and also at the other two restaurants there. Had food at parties at Six Seasons many times. Before yesterday, I never could complain. It wasnt the food itself, but whoever chose the menu for the buffet, should not be in charge to do so. Nothing personal, but he surely has a bad choice. Naturally next time I dont expect myself to choose Six Seasons.
A lot of items at buffet. Good ambience. The restaurant is overlooking the lake. Food is average.
The view from the bunka is absolutely beautiful. You can have a view of a lake including American embassy from the restaurant. The food was also good. The best item of the buffet was makita roll. There was also one beef item available. But the price is very high. We availed the b1g3 offer.
Went to bunka many times but somehow this time the quality has fallen badly. Specially the service. Food wasnt as fresh as before. It is among the expensive place in Dhaka hence compromise is not expected. They had only a few waiter who was serving the total floor hence we had to call multiple times to get few dishes. Some food was frozen and old. Dint get the fresh vibe that this place used to have. I dont know if I will consider again for coming at this expensive rate.
Pretty good buffet menu, excellent service. The waiters and management were extremely accommodating and did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The food itself was quite good, the only complaint would be that they are missing some menu items, but due to current supply chain issues this is understandable. The hotel itself is immaculate, very modern and clean. I would recommend.
Food was dissapointing. Good offer doesnt always mean good food, this has been proved here at Bunka, Six Seasons hotel..it was really disappointing.. Tow stars has been given only for the view
Tasty yammy foods. Thanks brac bank and Six seasons for giving me an opportunitu to visit here. Wonderful Place. What a lovely restaurant! highly recommended..
This restaurant is housed inside the Six Seasons Hotel, and is their principal restaurant on the hospitality property. Although advertised and positioned as an authentic Korean restaurant, local Asian food maybe ordered. The buffet offers the diner an excellent selection of Oriental, Indian and Japanese food, and the quality of cooking is very good. The place is frequented by an international clientele, and can be safely recommended to Westerners who are visiting Dhaka for a short stop, and may find it hard to stomach the spicy local food/ locally rendered Asian and European food ( which is likely to be equally spicy). The ambiance of the restaurant is first rate, and from its 14 floor hight, and through its glass walls you can enjoy a lovely view of the Dhaka skyline! The restaurant, despite its position and prestige, may seem a bit pricey, especially so because global hospitality names such as Sheraton, Intercontinental and Westin are also offering the Dhaka diners an even better deal at similar price points.
Taste of the foods are average. I found the dessert section more tastier than rest of the buffet item. You will get a great panaromic view of Gulshan lake and its surroundings. If you are food lover than this place wont be recommended.
Bunka is a decent restaurant at 13th floor of Six Seasons Hotel. You must be wondering why I rated it 3 instead of 5 stars.Thing is:Location and view from restaurant: 5/5Hospitality and behaviour: 5/5Interior ambience: 4/5Food quality and tasteFood variation compared to other restaurants in Dhaka: 2/5All the foods served are undoubtedly good in terms of taste and quality. They have live station for Teppanyaki. But, still, the variation of food offered is much less compared to the food offered by similar standard restaurants in Dhaka. I definitely appreciate their service and hospitality. But, I urge them to redesign the menu with some more options.
I went there with a hope that, whatever review i got my experience will be the good one as i asked them about their Chef they said so many changes happened from last yr.I started my plate with a soup / thai soup and the disappointed started at very beginning.Honestly speaking in my life i have never experienced this kind of bad taste thai soup.Rating will be 4/10 .Then come to chashewnut salad, just not good at all. Even the next door restaurant can make this in good way, much salty, hardly cashew found cashew. All other things were very average , which are below expectations from restaurant of 5 star like this. Sushi was not so bad, as we are not much familier with the authentic sushi, though i hv seen a comment of sushu lover/ who used to be in Japan, it was not good at all ! Live cooking station was only for vegetables saute. We tried the prawn felt like its not freshly cooked ( kind of Bashi )Chicken tandoori, fried rice , chicken, was ok average . Which i liked is Beef masala. Even the nan was not soft enough.Buy one get 3 even though its 5k , but really disappointing and not value for money.
Good sushi variety.Soup taste is okay, ask for their soup of the day. It takes abit of time to bring your order if its busy.Nice view of Gulshan lake and surroundings. Well decorated, neat and clean. Service is excellent. Servers and waiters are well mannered. For weekends, try reserving before going. Check out BOGO or any other discount perks! Good for family dinners, kids friendly.
Do not fall a victim to their "Service Buffet" offer. It is one of the hideous option anyone can offer! We had a pathetic experience today at the restaurant. We were 9 people in total and we faced horrendous service from them with their ultra-painful "service buffet". I was so upset with their service and food that I didnt even feel to take a picture there.
I visited this place almost two years ago with my friends when everything was different. They had really great choice of 100+ items. Really enjoyed the buffet that time. Now after 2 years when I went with my wife on 05/12/2020 (saying great things about BunkaI was utterly disappointed. The price of Buffet Lunch was 4000Tk Net and there was no water included, forget any drinks. Also they have trimmed their menu by half. Only 50+ items are available now. I even had better experience in a 1000Tk buffet. Their dessert choice is the worst. Some items was really good, I wont forget that. But that was definitely not a 4000Tk worth buffet experience.N.B. You had to purchase 500ml water for 63Tk and there is no complementary water. I mean you seriously charge people 4000Tk and wont even bother to add water? Every other restaurants are asking that much or less, including water and soft drinks and I am referring to Intercontinental, Amari, Radisson Blu, Sonargaon.Wont recommend to anyone. PERIOD.
The buffet was pretty average . Only the desserts were of self service . The system of serving chosen item was horrible . They were too slow in serving . Only the main course and 2/3 dessert items were good .Only the main course was good . :)
Only 2 types sushi available ... disappointedPrice cannot reflect the food quality n choicearound BDT3300 for two person during lunch time
One of the best place for buffet in town. Also for sushi lovers. They serve fresh sushi and maki rolls. Which is undoubtedly one of the best in Dhaka city. And the best part is you can have as much as you want with their buffet option. They also usually have the buy one get one offer with all the popular credit cards. Which is awesome. The seating arrangements are nice, cozy environment, overall they have a really nice vibe of comfort. Highly recommended for family get together, food lovers and people who are looking for a place to relax and enjoy good food in a nice and cozy restaurant. Added bonus the place also have a nice open view of the surrounding which is lovely.
Best oriental food ever...
Heard a lot about them but the food was totally disappointing. Foods lack salt and pepper. Quality and price didnt match. They were supposed to provide Galaouti Kebab but after the first round those were changed with Vegetable Tikka, which is totally unacceptable. Didnt expect this kind of bland food for the money Im paying.
There is Seafood Festival going on "Six Season Hotel" Dhaka it will be till 24th August, 2019 and there are also BOGO offer for selected cards also "GP STAR"..Its Better if you do the reservation first before going...Net price 3899tk and there were about 50+ Items there excluding beverage...👉 Food: 8/10👉 Ambience: 8/10👉 Service: 10/10..Place: Bunka, Six Season Hotel, Gulshan, Dhaka..#foodiesdiarybdBunka - Six Seasons Hotel
Amazing food, ambiance and service by Mr. Yeasir
We went to have a fine japanese cuisine but unfortunately few food items servicing quality has gone down and we have asked them to fix it. They have amazing steaks, tepyaniaki btw. Its definitely value for money but they were far better before. Im sure they will take their services to the perfect point again.
Place was very neat and cozy located at the 13th floor of the hotel overseeing the lake view. Staffs were well dressed and very prompt. Food was really good. If not the best, it should be one of the best restaurants in town. I would like to go there again.
The food was very good. The juices they served was amazing. There is a smoking zone right beside the main dinning hall which is a big plus for the smokers. Enjoyed the fact that i can smoke after a heavy meal.
Had iftar on May 20,2019. Amazing appetizer! I didnt like Main course that much! Teppanyaki was good!
Restaurent Surpervisor & Server behaviour pleased me
Nice tasty and sufficient food.A bit pricey but reasonable
The restaurant is located at 13th floor of the Six Seasons Hotel.
Went with hope to enjoy Japanese taste. Good service but food quality needs to go a long way to come up to standard where a customer will have an urge to return. Japanese taste was missing in main course. Hope they are able satisfy their guest better than what it is today.
Good food good place taste was very good.. experience with teppanayaki
The restaurant is located at 13th floor of the Six Seasons Hotel. Serves good Oriental food . You can also enjoy the beautiful city view from the restaurant.
Surprisingly good sushi, great atmosphere, overall quite good Japanese and Thai cuisine. Bit on the expensive side though.
Most of the items are mouthwatering. The buffet was expensive.
Its too bland to my taste. And igloo seriously!!! Thats a shame
Awesome food, awesome ambience! Loved it!
