Bún Bò Nam Bộ Bách Phương - Noodle shop in Son Tay, Vietnam
The beef noodle salad is good. Tried the steam pork roll and is not bad too.The herbal chicken soup was too strong for us.
Highly recommended!Very simple restaurant where the service is super fast and the bo bun is absolutely delicious ! For only 65k
First meal in Hanoi and this is so nice! Ordered beef salad noodle and its very suitable for the hot weather. Very tasty and big portion.
Very good taste, it can compare with bún chả or Phở. Must try and also crowded 😂
It is very criminal of them to make such delicious beef noodle salad. Ridiculously affordable price for the value youre getting out of it.
Had the beef salad and herbal chicken soup. We were feeling adventurous so we ordered one of each main, but stick to the beef salad. The chicken soup was very bitter from the herbs and is only chicken in the soup so not much of a meal. The beef salad however was really tasty! Theyre cooking operation is so efficient, looks like a fast food chain.
Delicious food, fair price and quick service! The owners are super nice too. I definitely recomend this restaurant!
Really good fresh food and fast service. Only one dish on the menu so can’t be too picky.
Very unique dish in Hanoi! Even the locals come here. Try it out! fast service and polite fuss free experience!
If I had to choose one restaurant in Hanoi, it would be this place!
Really tasty and fresh beef noodles, both the pork roll was good too. Really need to taste it yourself.
Don’t get creative and go straight to the beef noodle salad. It’s delicious!
chicken soup like kind of wormwood and i love this :but i think most of people hate thisnoodle is the best ever
For me (as Europeanthe best food thus far in Vietnam. The restaurant is nicely lit, the staff is friendly and we had our delicious bowl of southern beef rice noodles within less than 2 minutes after entering the restaurant.
We had lunch here today and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place. The bun bo nam bo was very fresh and tasty.
Quality food and service! The dish is a classic in Vietnamese culture and represents it very well. I didn’t find any better ones.
First meal after touch down. Many local folks also eat here so pricing shld be reasonable. Approx USD 3 for a beef pho dry. 5 star for a simple fresh tasty lunch! Cleared up all everything.
The noodles with beef was tasty and refreshing with the herbs and vegetables. The noodle was prepared pretty quickly like most noodle dishes in Vietnam. The place was clean and comfortable. 65k for a bowl of noodles.
Beef noodle salad was nicely seasoned. Fermented pork is an acquired taste, but steam pork is ok. Mantou was nice.
No words can describe how delicious their beef noodle was. They only have very few menu listing which is very obvious that they have mastered their own dish.
It is a very lovely dish and it’s cheap! We paid 65k/bowl but locals get them waaaaay cheaper - not going to complain about paying the tourist price because 1the price was clearly displayed everywhere 2it really was delicious and 3the dining environment was clean and hygienic!I would recommend trying the steam pork rolls too - they’re like a small mince pork sausage wrapped in a leaf!
Was a bit underwhelmed. Flavors are fine but I guess I don’t understand this northern thing of taking delicious grilled meat and submerging it in hot liquid. I was hoping for something more like bun thit nuong, but this dish has no veg beyond some lettuce that gets soft in the hot broth. Don’t mean to be a hater, the meat is nicely flavored and the portion size was decent, but I was hoping for something a bit more…refreshing. They also really crank out the turnover pace here, and I was eager to move on when a couple was sat down across from me at the little table. It all felt a bit rushed.
Bun bo is ok. However for my taste it was too oily.I didn’t like the attitude of the staff. Putting ice with hands is not appropriate, especially knowing that Vietnamese people don’t wash their hands with soup often enough. Also the old man who brings the food served it to us like throwing food for animals.A bit disappointing for me, but may be your experience will be different.
BP is an institution in hanoi and my friend took me here for lunch whilst I was visiting. The bun was delicious and for some reason I opted for the chicken dish (maybe the only person to restaurant to order it- it’s an acquired taste for sure
One of the best meals in whole Vietnam. I went there several times because I just got addicted to that flavour. Sooo delicious. You have to try it, for 3$ its bloody worth it!!!
This noodles is our very first meal in Hanoi and its soooooo freaking good! I finished the whole bowl! Dont forget to add calamansi and a little bit of soy sauce.Edited to add: today is our last day in Hanoi so we have to come back here. The same level of deliciousness as the first time we were here. Will need to google how this is made when get back home and hope that I can replicate it.
Bun Bo Nam Bo is known for their fire grilled beef vermicelli. They also have a few other items on the menu, but youll want to come here just for the beef vermicelli. Everything is cooked to order and comes out fairly quickly. Their sauce and veggies are all prepared and all you have to do is mix it up and eat. There are a few different ones on this street so make sure you go to the correct one. Youll know because there is always a crowd of people eating in the restaurant. There are a lot of copycats but only one of the original.
This "Bún bò" restaurant is my fav spot for having a quick, nutrition dinner. The place is spic and span and staffs are nice. The price is around VND100.000 ~ $5/person, and youll have a delicious meal. From the city center - Hoan Kiem lake, it is only half mile/1km, you can easily visit the restaurant on foot.
Bun Bo Nam Bo is one of these Vietnamese dishes that is particularly suited to Western sensibilities without needing to be altered or toned down. Its a typical Hanoi dish with very subtle flavours (Vietnamese from further south might just call it bland ;and its rarely found elsewhere in the country outside of tourist restaurants. Having said that, I do like this beef noodle salad a lot personally, and this place does a very good job with a generous amount of marinated meat and a nicely balanced sauce. Its 65k for a big bowl which is reasonable for a quality beef dish. Packed every day even in corona times, so its definitely a local favourite.
Bún Bò Nam Bộ at its best. Authentic balanced taste - however fresh chilies, lime or several sauces and spices are also available to adjust their dishes to your taste.Highly recommended. Fair pricing.
If you wanna try a dry bowl of beef pho, you can try it here. But I prefer the soup pho. It wasnt my cup of tea. The dish it self isnt bad, I just prefer soup pho. Id say 3.5 stars.
Amazing food! Definitely try this dish (Bun Bowhen you’re in Hanoi. It’s a bit more pricy than other places, but so worth it! Service is great and super fast.
At first you might think that the menu is so limited and doesnt offer a lot of choice, but thats exactly the appeal of this place, they have taken a few dishes and mastered it to a point where they are the experts at it. The Bo (beefSalad was so delicious it blew my mind, its definitely worth a try.
Great place. Came here in numerous times in December 2018 and back again during our recent January 2020 in Hanoi. 2 bowls of Bun Bo and 2 Ha Noi beer for 170,000 VND. Its 65,000/bowl but considering what you get totally worth it. Its extremely popular, tourists and locals, there can be line ups, so they move people through quickly and you will be sharing tables. The staff arent rude, they are busy and super efficient. This isnt the place to sit and chat after eating so come, eat and go elsewhere to visit.
UNREAL. I dream about these beef noodles. Had for lunch one day, as recommended by our local guide, and it was amazing. Among the best things we ate in 3 weeks traveling through Vietnam. Definitely go eat here!
Ordered it as take-away, the serving was generous (catering to the tourists who tend to eat more?), so worth the price. Loved the crunchy peanuts and fried onions on top. The broth and hot sauce came in separate bags and the kumquats came already sliced on one end, ready to squeeze over the top of it all. Delish! So fun to watch him cook the beef and then assembly line getting ~10 orders done at once. Dumplings we ordered had a slight sweet coconut flavor. Wish Id ordered more of those 😃
The Bún Bo Nam Bo (Beef with rice noodles from Nam Bo areais the main dish served here for 60,000 vnd ($2.60and it’s delicious and filling. Mostly tourists were here but there were a few Vietnamese eating here, which makes me believe that this is a place that locals enjoy. It’s hard to go wrong with this meal. I would think most people would enjoy, even picky eaters.
Very clear place. Ordered all menus and great. Chicken soup was very similar Korean traditional chicken soup. Could feel my mom’s recipe. And the bread was really nice but about nem(?), it’s depended on the preference. A bit expensive 60K for one plate but okay for feeling a clean environment in old quarter.
Fairly bland tasting noodles. The fried dough was definitely nice and soft tasty. I expected something better after the reviews I read.
Despite its humble appearance and lack of variety on the menu, the beef noodle salad is extremely tasty. There are generous chunks of beef complemented by the garnishing which brings out the flavour of the dish. Highly recommend! However, do not expect to eat in a pristine condition as the floor was quite dirty.
Very good beef noodle salad. We got attracted by the number of Grab food pickup at this area and as such decided to try this place. The food was served efficiently and the staff were English friendly. Despite the high turnover rate, the place and tables were constantly kept clean which was a major concern for us.
Not sure what the name means but it is a really good bowl of noodles. Definitely one of the must tries in Hanoi. Price is also very reasonable and affordable.
This restaurant is a must-see place to eat in Hanoi. The restaurant was recommended by one of the staff at the hotel. This is just a small place with only a few dishes, but the bowl of noodle soup was one of the best I have ever tasted. Definitely worth a visit. If you are looking for a quick, cheap and tasty feed then this is the place for you.
Super small menu, but dishes are mastered to perfection.I got the « beef salad » as they call it. Full of flavor, toasted garlic, peanuts, the broth everything was tasty. The cook is making everything g in front of you on the side walk,And the restaurant is in the length of the bullish, low tables and stool, with all condiments on the table60,000 signs for the salad , average drink price is 20,000. THey do have beers by the bottle
Oh yes!! What a lovely place. Bun Bo Nam Bo is a great dish. Beef steak is first stir fried with garlic along with bean sprouts and a dash of slightly sweet and light broth. Then it is spooned over lettuce and rice noodles, another ladle of broth, followed by crushed peanuts, crispy shallots, pickled papaya and carrot. 60k for a bowl. Also had a piece of meatball sausage and sour pork. They were both good but the star is the Bun Bo Nam Bo.
This place sells 4 things and they’re all great. Main dish, most importantly, is the beef noodle salad. Absolutely wonderful flavors. The place is super basic, metal tables and chopsticks. Trash bins under the tables. Fast service and incredible food.
Delicious beef noodle salads and quick service. Prices were quite fair and the place had a fun, authentic, local atmosphere. Wish we had discovered this place sooner - would have eaten here a couple more times before leaving Vietnam.
Noodles with beef were amazing. Staff very friendly, helped out on how to eat spring rolls ‘correctly’. Highly recommended.
Great food. A cosy local restaurant with friendly staff. Beef salad was fantastic. Chicken soup was incredibly flavorful, although a little difficult to eat with large pieces. The spicy sauce with pork roll was amazing.
Good food at cheap price, mostly the dish that gives the name to the place. After the high ranking reviews there are many tourists, but its still full of locals.Youll be seated at a long table near to other customers and served your bowl.Good hygiene standards, super fast service as customary in Vietnamese eateries.
